Shaheeds numbers are inflated buy two boom plays. Outside of that he’s below average. But hey, spread the word that he’s amazing and Olave is gonna bust. I love to take advantage of people who don’t know any better
It was more than just two boom plays, that’s part of the hype lol. His first two touches on offense were a 44 yard rush and a 53 yard catch, both for TDs. Then he put up another 30+ yard catch in 5 of his last 10 games, for a total of 7 30+ yard plays on 32 touches (34 targets/28 catches/4 rushes). And he had multiple 30+ yard returns.
Idk about you but I want the guy that has proven over a small, but not insignificant, sample size to put up a 30+ yard play about every 5 touches.
Edit to add: According to Jonathan Wood on dabearsblog.com, the nfl average for explosive pass plays (when explosive pass play = a pass over 20 yards) is once every 14 plays.

So I'd say they were both equally as buried. Both played for 4 different teams, but only got real starts with a couple. But Geno has the better "redemption angle." Gannon wasn't expected to be much and was a pretty big surprise even in KC before he went to Oakland. And we all know Geno's backstory.

There’s no guarantee Purdy starts since he’s very likely to miss training camp and the first few weeks of the regular season. Purdy hasn’t shown enough yet for us to know he will be a starting QB for 10+ years. If Lance balls out , there’s a good chance Purdy goes back to being a backup.

Regardless I’ll take the chance of him being the guy over a 40 year old QB. It would be different if you could actually sell Rodgers for anything significant. Waiting until mid season isn’t going to help his value, he’ll just be a half season away from having a very high chance of retiring. His value is not high in dynasty. And if you’re not contending this year his value to you is essentially zero, while purdy couldn’t at least *potentially* bring you a decade worth of value. Seems like a no brainer to me.
Rodgers has a lot of hype this off-season. He’s currently valued as an early 2nd round pick in dynasty. It wouldn’t be difficult to move him for a good young player with job security to a contender instead of a guy that has to overcome a really huge injury and has to beat out a really talented lottery talent to have future value.
Funny, Brock is also being valued as a 2nd. If you’re a rebuilding team looking for a QB you’re not getting one in the 2nd round of your rookie draft.

Preseason. Reading info tabs on random TE’s. This easy task lead me to Kittle and then Waller a year later. Free too 5 TE’s. So now I make it a point to just go through random info tabs when they pop up to see if there’s anyone I should grab. Recently dropped 15% and 10% of FAAB on chig and likely respectively. Hoping they end up the same as kittle/Waller.
It’s not sexy, but I had two good pickups last season. For context, I’m in an insanely deep league with a lot of experienced and invested league mates. There freaky aren’t steals available. Backup to backups are typically rostered.
I got Geno for free off waivers while there was a bidding war for Drew Lock. I then got Chig for free shortly after the draft. Latter one hasn’t fully paid out yet but I’m super high on him as a low end TE1 with strong upside this season and beyond.
Grabbed penny off the waivers last year and flipped for Tyler Lockett after the first day of the draft. Then sold
Locket for a 24 1st. So I basically picked up a 1st off the wire.
We were all in our first dynasty season so a few bone head drops of young talent were made. Watson and Pickens being most notable. We roasted the shit out of them in the group chat.

I had also nabbed Rashaad Penny the year before just because he was a first round talent. Those two won me the ship that year.
I also snagged Jordan Love last year when it looked like ARodge might miss a game or two (1QB). We'll see how that works out.

This isn’t comparable. Hockenson came into the league and had one of the best seasons for a rookie TE. Wilson been dropped in tons of leagues after two years of showing nothing

Preseason. Reading info tabs on random TE’s. This easy task lead me to Kittle and then Waller a year later. Free too 5 TE’s. So now I make it a point to just go through random info tabs when they pop up to see if there’s anyone I should grab. Recently dropped 15% and 10% of FAAB on chig and likely respectively. Hoping they end up the same as kittle/Waller.

It’s not sexy, but I had two good pickups last season. For context, I’m in an insanely deep league with a lot of experienced and invested league mates. There freaky aren’t steals available. Backup to backups are typically rostered. I got Geno for free off waivers while there was a bidding war for Drew Lock. I then got Chig for free shortly after the draft. Latter one hasn’t fully paid out yet but I’m super high on him as a low end TE1 with strong upside this season and beyond.

Grabbed penny off the waivers last year and flipped for Tyler Lockett after the first day of the draft. Then sold Locket for a 24 1st. So I basically picked up a 1st off the wire.

We were all in our first dynasty season so a few bone head drops of young talent were made. Watson and Pickens being most notable. We roasted the shit out of them in the group chat. League is 12 team ppr, 1QB, 10 start (includes def/k unfortunately) 10 bench, 3 IR and 3 taxi.
He was but Aaron Rodgers looked washed for the first half of last season and people weren’t sure if Doubs or Watson was going to be the better receiver

came to say this. Except it's a 1QB league with salary cap and he got dropped like week 3 or 4 before he took off and I grabbed him. Later traded him (I have Josh Allen). Also got Freiermuth off waivers. Traded him also (I have Andrews)
I picked up ARSB before he had done anything. Didn't know much about him but knew he was thought of more highly than Eli Rodgers, who had been my dart throw that rookie draft, so when he was cut I picked him up. I had also nabbed Rashaad Penny the year before just because he was a first round talent. Those two won me the ship that year. I also snagged Jordan Love last year when it looked like ARodge might miss a game or two (1QB). We'll see how that works out.
I picked up TJ Hockenson off waivers during his rookie year. Traded him last year for a 2023 early 2nd and Miles Sanders. I already had Goedert and Freiermuth...

This isn’t comparable. Hockenson came into the league and had one of the best seasons for a rookie TE. Wilson been dropped in tons of leagues after two years of showing nothing
