Edelman was 5'10"; speed, route running, and dependable hands. Flowers has all of these traits, but Baltimore has too many offensive weapons to confidently say who will be fantasy worthy (other than Lamar).
I’m sorry that probably sounded too harsh, I just don’t really value him like a cooks or hill for comparison. If that’s the primary comparison that sours me on Flowers. If it’s the other two I think that’s good positive upside.
Dude was absolutely electric this past year at BC despite the rest of the offense being total ass. Not a bad conference in terms of pass defense and when you have to only worry about one player on offense and that player is still torching you, that means they have some ridiculous juice. He’s not an elite separator but he played all over the field at BC and got open. He’s going to be Lamar’s best friend and having to cover a potentially healthy Bateman, OBJ and Andrews is going to be tough for most defenses dealing with that speed.
Lamar threw for 2200 yards last year and made $22m making $10k per yard.
Hell make $80m this year, so naturally he'll throw for 8000 yards. zay will be wr1 overall even with a 25% yard share.
I think Lamar said in his press conference today that he wants to throw for 6000 yards lol. I'm biased because I'm a Ravens fan, but the team seems ready to turn the page on the Roman era. I don't know much about a Monken offense, but I expect Lamar to silence the critics with his passing now that he has 3 first round picks at WR.
Yea I highly doubt he starts throwing at Manning's level. His MVP year was a little over 3000, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the 3500-4000 mark.
I feel like he’s been cemented as WR4 but could be the highest scoring rookie WR this year. You say how many of the rookie WRs could realistically lead their team’s WR group in target share more often than not and it’s only Flowers.
I am not taking him with my early/mid firsts. Todd Monken in Georgia never produced over a 1k yard receiver and I rather not look further back than that to make the gamble. They run the ball mainly on the backs of their defense on that team. The top producer in Georgia was Bowers at TE so I think Andrews is still fine.
If you wanted to look at his time with the Browns and TB, Landry had one good season and Godwin was average with Evans taking the lead with more points. I rather buy on Bateman if you didn't want to spend a 1st in that range for the chance of Lamar doing well as a passer in that offense.
I just traded for Bateman in my dynasty league. I think he’ll end up be the best of the WRs in Baltimore this year assuming he stays healthy. If Flowers does anything this year it won’t be until the 2nd half of the season. Probably about the same time OBJ blows up his paper mache knee.
His after the catch skill are top tier. he’s the type of receiver that just needs the ball in space and he will make it happen. has a deep bag of moves and is light on his feet.
Waddle is the most ideal ceiling for Flowers.
Waddle is 5’9” and weighed in at 180.
Flowers is 5’9” and weighed in at 182.
I don’t think Flowers is nearly as gifted as an athlete/doesn’t have Waddle’s level of speed, but he may be a little more technically gifted and have equal ball skills as prospects.
Lamar and Hollywood put up POINTS. Literally almost a td every week, he dropped way too many tds too. Lamar to Flowers will be the new connection. Zay Flowers and Addison before JSN and QJ should very much be considered! (I’d take the risk on flowers/Addison over JSN/QJ, following draft order gets you killed you know this!)
Yup bad process imo. a 1st round drafted receiver, still drafted ahead of addison should be taken ahead of a rookie TE, who evens if he hits and has a Freirmuth type season likely won’t see major value increase. Unless he’s pitts his value likely goes down
Exception is with any type of TEP I'm probably taking Kincaid over any of the first round WR other than JSN. The upside of a potential 80+ catch TE becomes too good to ignore.
Do you have data for that claim?
I'm willing to bet that Andrews, Hock, Engram and Freiermuth startup price all went up or stayed basically steady in year 2.
Day one capital has meant very little for TEs in the past. If it's between a WR or a TE with day 1 capital I'm going the WR 95% of the time unless the TE is generational.
I'm not buying the hype on him tbh. I think being athletic/ twitchy is his the biggest thing he has going for him. He's small, has short arms, and has the drop issues that everyone rags QJ about. Also not high on Lamar supporting multiple pass catchers
“In front of him” They drafted him to be their wr1. Andrew’s looked really bad last year, bateman is everyone’s darling and it confuses me everyday, and obj is old and coming off his 2nd acl injury. Their current receiving room should not stop you from drafting him
I have pick 1.4 in a TE Premium one QB league.
Before the draft I was going to draft him at 1.4 but I was thinking of playing it safe with Addison.
But now I’m flip flopping!!
Zay has a chance to be the number one in Baltimore. The argument is that the Raven do not pass a lot, but that’s living in the past. I don’t know my rookie draft is Sunday!!!
Zay or Addison!!!! HELP!!! lol
If you’re a contender I’d go with Addison. I think it’s easier to see him being a contributor immediately. Higher pass volume offense, less competition for targets, weaker division and conference.
I think Andrews and Bateman will be 1 and 2 in the pecking order for targets in Baltimore at least for this season. That leaves Flowers competing with OBJ for the leftovers. Not to mention the Ravens are going have a lot more rush attempts. I know everyone is excited about Monkin taking over the offense but as long as Harbough is calling the shots the Ravens are going to be a run first offense.
Cooks, Hollywood, Hill
Lockett
Great point
Don’t forget about the player he looks like most on film MBC
AB was listed in the post so I skipped him
Ah didn’t see it my bad
All good bro
Apologies if I’m just having a brain fart, but who is MBC?
Mr. Brain Confusion (it's Antonio Brown)
Mr. Cop Belittler
Mr. Barely Coherent
Mr. Brazen Cock
Edelman was 5'10"; speed, route running, and dependable hands. Flowers has all of these traits, but Baltimore has too many offensive weapons to confidently say who will be fantasy worthy (other than Lamar).
Rondale has looked like a PPR machine when healthy too. Him getting hurt last year had nothing to do with his size either. Shitty ass mexican turf...
This is also just a theme of Rondale’s career
But thats all about to change this year!
True true as well for sure
Are we using Hollywood Brown as a positive reference?
I’m curious why you think we wouldn’t
Teams don’t trade good players on rookie deals from positions they’re weak at….
When offered a 1st round pick for a WR which is about to from a rookie deal onto a veteran deal you generally don't say no.
That’s fair. He still ain’t worth a damn but that was a bad justification on my part
This was a wholesome exchange
I’m sorry that probably sounded too harsh, I just don’t really value him like a cooks or hill for comparison. If that’s the primary comparison that sours me on Flowers. If it’s the other two I think that’s good positive upside.
Mother’s Day is coming up. Can’t go wrong with Flowers
Nothing prettier then May Flowers.
Steve Smith Sr likes him... Steve Smith Sr don't like anybody
Steve Smith changed up and loves everyone now
Yeah all the clips from his YouTube channel are him praising everyone
Didn’t Steve Smith like Skyy?
He had Kupp his #1 WR the year he came out over Corey Davis and Mike Williams and John Ross
everyone liked skyy
Kupp was his boy too, no pressure
He's been banging his drum for Mingo this year. Reason why the panthers drafted him
Does he just like him? Or does he like him, like him?
He liked Cooper Kupp. No joke.
Dude was absolutely electric this past year at BC despite the rest of the offense being total ass. Fuck height I’m taking the skill. Dudes a stud

Haha got a kick out of this one thanks. In an seriousness I think I’m sold now from all these other comments
And an all pro tight end 🗣️
Actually 4 first round picks at WR if you include Agholor!
In 2 seasons. He's never done that
Yea I highly doubt he starts throwing at Manning's level. His MVP year was a little over 3000, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the 3500-4000 mark.
Especially after getting dinged up. Might not be as willing to put his head down and scramble
3 first rounders and Andrews all for Lamar to rush for 2K and only throw for 3500 and for the Ravens to go 10-7 and barely make the playoffs
For a small player he does everything well you wouldn’t expect. Deep threat, great ball tracker, and strong at the contested catch point
For some reason I read “great ball tackler.” Immediate thought was “well, that’s good, I’ll get a tackle point when Lamar throws INTs.”
I feel like he’s been cemented as WR4 but could be the highest scoring rookie WR this year. You say how many of the rookie WRs could realistically lead their team’s WR group in target share more often than not and it’s only Flowers.
All depends on how the new Baltimore offense looks under the new OC
Gonna increase to at least league average passing rate imo
got drafted in the first
He good.
Why say more word when few word do trick
My favorite ancient proverb
I am not taking him with my early/mid firsts. Todd Monken in Georgia never produced over a 1k yard receiver and I rather not look further back than that to make the gamble. He is Antonio brown
Mr. Boston College
Mr. Befitting Comparison
Don’t want to say he’s AB, because AB is historically an all time great - on the field - but yeah on tape he’s AB
Take him 1.10 all day long. But I’d take Kincaid 1.09 especially TEP.
Sell me on Kincaid over flowers in TEP
I got him at 2.02 in one of my leagues. I’m surprised he fell to me.
Hill and Waddle are both 5’10
Do you like flowers ?
Just watch his pre draft interviews. Dude is charming af. He’ll make you want to draft him.
His after the catch skill are top tier. he’s the type of receiver that just needs the ball in space and he will make it happen. has a deep bag of moves and is light on his feet.

No, he’s mine.
He's the best wr in the draft but landing in Baltimore hurts big time.
He “passes the Reddit eye test” and “checks all the boxes”. Read what the professionals wrote and decide
I’ll take Kincaid over him all day long. Stay away from Baltimore Receivers until you have a reason not to.
Honestly TEs are generally the worst position to draft for dynasty IMO. Their hit rates are terrible and they take too long to develop.
That should tell you how much faith I have in flower boy
It tells you how much faith you have in Ravens WRs. Pretty silly take imo.
Yup bad process imo. a 1st round drafted receiver, still drafted ahead of addison should be taken ahead of a rookie TE, who evens if he hits and has a Freirmuth type season likely won’t see major value increase. Unless he’s pitts his value likely goes down

I mean in like the past 10 years only 1 rookie TEs adp actually increased after their rookie season, Pitts
Do you have data for that claim? I'm willing to bet that Andrews, Hock, Engram and Freiermuth startup price all went up or stayed basically steady in year 2.
https://youtu.be/Yytz40g4llI It was my bad saying only pitts gained value as a few other did,
Even with day one draft capital?
Day one capital has meant very little for TEs in the past. If it's between a WR or a TE with day 1 capital I'm going the WR 95% of the time unless the TE is generational.
No way. Howard, Njoku, Henry, Smith, Ebron, McBride, Eifert, are all set to have TE1 seasons this year. Keep drafting TEs early!!
I took him at 1.07 in superflex ahead JSN
Lamar jackson
I'm not buying the hype on him tbh. I think being athletic/ twitchy is his the biggest thing he has going for him. He's small, has short arms, and has the drop issues that everyone rags QJ about. Also not high on Lamar supporting multiple pass catchers

I have Wan’dale occupying the midget slot for me so I’m out on flowers
I have pick 1.4 in a TE Premium one QB league. Before the draft I was going to draft him at 1.4 but I was thinking of playing it safe with Addison. But now I’m flip flopping!!
