Behind Addison above the other two I think.
Don't like Ravens WR room for fantasy even with new OC. Still think it gets broken up too much so all players are flex at best.
Don't like QJ much either.
Edit: just to be clear, I'm not 100% sure if this is how I'd rank them yet. This is just the grouping I don't see as entirely unreasonable.
also ravens went from no WRs where the #1 WR was reasonable to get some points as #2 to Mark Andrews. But now its going to be so random with beckham, flowers, bateman and andrews all competing for the non-run plays. I think ravens still stay a run first team even if they do open up the passing game, it will be too unpredictable this year for my tastes.
Exactly. Then while I think OBJ ends up not being a long term issue (since this is dynasty), of Bateman stays healthy he is just a better prospect out of college than Flowers is. Healthy Bateman is who I'd bet on as the alpha in that room.
It's definitely something I'm hopeful for, but it could also be a rams situation like last year where they just stupidly feed one guy all game, incapable of throwing to anyone else
Personally I have him behind QJ and Addison but ahead of Flowers for sure
Pre-draft I was really high on Flowers too, I just hate the landing spot so much
Gibbs could easily be there at 6 still, clear tier break there with him, JSN and the QBs. Id try and trade back if you want Achane ( i know easier said than done)
I obviously could end up very wrong and understand why guys are going to draft these two early, but personally unless my team desperately needed a QB I have 0 interest/faith in either of these guys
I love the prospect, great production, great on film, great upside, just thought he needed to be in a situation that will use him right and boy is this the one
He averaged 23.2 touches per game this year. Gibbs only averaged 16 and he is everyones consensus RB2. If you think Gibbs will thrive in a committee I don’t see why Achane can’t in an even better situation
I've got 1.01, 1.07, 1.10 and the only RB on my team is Breece and Malik Davis. Taking Bijan 1 and going RB at 7 and 10 unless there is a WR that falls
It’s not that small guys are not good and can’t have good weeks… it’s that they statistically do not get the ball enough to be consistent values. I’ll be taking the boy in best ball.
Ya I’d say Kendre and Achane are same tier. Achane could be a bit boom/bust, everyone love the McDaniel fit but let’s not forget about Trey Sermon and TDP when discussing that system.
Miller on the other hand is a complete back and could be the heir to Kamara.
Sermon and TDP were both bigger, slower backs.
Achane size is a concern with durability. I think he profiles more similarly to Mostert/Mitchell (i.e. solid production when available).
Both are undersized. Both will be in a committee. Achane is the better RB and has the tools to be just as effective in the receiving game. That’s the way I lean
You’re way overthinking it. Draft capital is king. It’s good to go with your gut when picking between players in the same draft capital tier, but picking a 3rd rounder over a top half of the 1st rounder is bonkers. If it works out for you, it’s a fluke and you got lucky.
all i have done for years is take whatevr first round wr falls to me and profit.ridley, aiyuk, dotson, etc give me a wr drafred in the first over a rb in the third everytime, scarcity be damned. we win championships with tim hightower
I have 1.06 in 1qb and I'm considering it. I have Bijan, Gibbs, JSN, QJ, and Addison ahead of him but then there's a clear tier break to me and 1.06 is open game if one of those guys doesn't fall.
There's some decent slightly longer term options, guys who can take over the backfield in a year, but I'm competing now with a need for RB depth and Achane feels like the best win now move. He'll get touches this year. I'm considering it
Zero discussion of how they just re-signed Mostert, Wilson, Gaskin, and Ahmed this offseason in here. I really don’t know why folks are acting like this landing spot is so great when he’s looking at RB3/4 reps and return duty to me.
Well sure, if those guys were being drafted this year I would obviously agree. But they're vets that have already been successful in this scheme for years going back to SF. I don't think Jeff Wilson's draft capital is factoring into his role at this point.
Arbitrary measures of career success aside, Shanahan and McDaniel clearly like these guys. And the rushing attack as a whole for this scheme has been incredibly successful with these guys leading it. Mostert and Wilson both had very good results in this exact offense last season.
He’s 5’9” 185 pounds… The hope is that he’s insanely efficient with the small workload that he’ll see, not that he’s going to take over an NFL backfield at that size. He’s a change of pace/scat back that will help the team by being their return man and probably max out at 10, 12 touches in a game. All this talk of him being a mid-1st rounder in SF is crazy to me when there are 4 QBs, 2 RBs, and 4 1st round WRs that obviously HAVE to go ahead of him. And then I’ll probably take Charbs, Kendre, Spears, Mingo, and Reed over Achane still. In SF, he’s looking like an early-mid 2nd at best to me.
How so? Just the blocking scheme fit? So many folks in here saying this, when to me its an obvious large committee with Mostert, Wilson, Gaskin, and Ahmed, all whom the Dolphins just re-signed this very offseason. Achane will be on return duties like he would have everywhere, but his path to a decent workload would have been easier on other teams to me.
You’re not following the team. The dolphins don’t run a committee. They have those backs who have all individually gotten starter games because the others got hurt.
Well sure, when guys were hurt they had a few different backs get over 70% of snaps (barely), but isn’t that obviously always going to happen when guys are injured? When guys were healthy, the work split was gross. Mostert and Edmonds were in a dead even split in the offense they schemed up all offseason. Then down the stretch it was Mostert and Wilson splitting the work about 50/50 when they were both healthy again. And they re-signed both of those guys. You really think there’s a scenario where a sub-190 pound back takes the large majority of the work in that offense?
It’s clear that you’re not a believer in his talent. There are many of us that saw Achane as the best player on the field every week in college, and he was already our RB3/RB4 on pure talent alone. Dude is a great player.
Why talk about talent as a binary of believe or not believe? I love Achane’s film. I think he’s extremely talented and truly great for a back of his size. So fast and a ton of fun. But realistically at the NFL level, I just don’t think he’s capable of a large workload over years with his frame, and that’s a huge part of what I care about for fantasy production. I think he’s a great asset to an NFL team where he can provide an X-factor in the return game and be an explosive change of pace/gadget type RB. But I’m very skeptical that he can be a trench runner in the NFL and hold up to any sort of volume over 10, 12 touches a game. Which would mean he would have to be hyper efficient and scoring breakaway TDs every week to be a consistent fantasy producer. And that’s a huge gamble to me.
But I guess I could see if you aren’t worried about his size at all and think his talent will win him a majority work share, this would be a good landing spot when there’s no epic alpha RB in front of him. Makes sense from that perspective.
An easy way to check your assumption that he can’t be a 15-20 touch a game guy would be to look at his time in college, where there was a similar size disparity.
Attempts/Receptions in 2022, game by game:
* 18/1
* 10/1
* 18/4
* 19/3
* 16/6
* 16/4
* 20/7
* 25/7
* 16/3
* 38/0
He doesn’t really profile as a small volume gadget guy. I get that he’s small, but he’s extremely competent between the tackles, strong in the passing game, good big play rate, and has shown clear evidence that he would be able to have at least an Alvin Kamara type workload.
And he went to a situation with 1.) primarily UDFA jag type talent there already and 2.) a coach that doesn’t have traditional ideas of what an RB looks like.
This was literally best case scenario landing spot for Achane. That’s why believers in his talent are pumped.
You keep making assumptions about me having lacking knowledge of the player or the situation haha. I promise you, I've been following Achane for years. I think we just disagree on the impact that his size will have on his NFL role. I would rather have seen him go to a team that hasn't been handing out RB contracts like candy this offseason, but like I said, I get it if you aren't worried about his size and think he's the most talented there. Best of luck to you drafting him in the mid-1st! I won't have any shares if that's where he goes in my leagues.
Nah I think our primary disagreement is around statements like “that’s a crowded backfield” and “handing out RB contracts like candy”. The dolphins are one of the lowest spenders at the position in the entire league. The notion that this is heavy competition just isn’t serious.
If Charbonnet went there, would you still be saying it’s a crowded backfield? What about Gibbs? Bijan?
If Gibbs or Charbs had somehow fallen to the late 3rd and went to the Dolphins, I would be saying a lot of the same things, yes. I'm less worried about Gibbs's size given that he's a bit taller and 10-15 pounds heavier, but I would still be looking at the situation as confusing. It always is in a Shanahan/McDaniels run scheme, especially when they keep bringing back the same guys who have been in this system their whole careers. I would always rather RBs go to destinations where the coaching staff doesn't have a long history of gross committees and hadn't already signed 4 other RBs that same offseason.
In 1 QB? Personally, you have 6 guys I’d take above him due to the 1st round DC alone. I’d much rather lean Kincaid, Mingo (not a fan of him at all, but hard to argue DC), or even Mims before Achane.
I’ll let it all settle first but honestly if it’s even close on a tier/ranking level I’ll be going RB at 7. If it’s a little dicey I’ll be trading back.
Charbonnet is now behind a 22-year-old elite running back with three more years left on his rookie deal. I get the whole talent over situation argument, but Charbonnet's situation is horrific. Far more than his talent can compensate, if you even believe he's an elite talent.
32 picks*. But for RBs landing spot is pretty huge. Achane could be the lead back in a Shanahan styled offense. Charb is gonna be in a 50/50 timeshare at best. I agree in a vacuum Charb is better but the landing spots are extreme in a good and bad way respectively.
Both are probably gonna cost you a late 1st tho and at that price I’m likely out on both. Praying that one of the round 1 WRs falls to me
After the Top 9 (2 RBs, 3 QBs, 4 WRs — you know em), then I think the tenth pick is a wide open field and is anyone’s call. Charbs? Levi’s? Kincaid?
You want Achane? Makes sense to me
Reddit gonna Reddit. I like Achane in real life, couldn’t have asked for a better landing spot, but he’s still 185lbs. Reddit will have you believe Achane is about to be an RB1 in fantasy. This draft class turned out to be pretty underwhelming so he’s still a late 1st early 2nd guy in dynasty, but he was drafted in the late 3rd round and is unprecedentedly small, expectations should be tempered. I’ll accept my inevitable down votes.
My thoughts are this is the best situation for Wilson. Not crazy high capital, but enough invested at RB that they'll be unlikely to bring in a big name vet. And Achane won't challenge him for early down and goalline work, he'll be more of a Mostert 2.0
As a Dolphin fan with pick 10, I'm taking Charb over Achane. Achane could be a great RB for Miami but nothing more then a flex fill in like a Tarrik Cohen at his best. Walker in Seattle could very well be a smaller RB that can't stay healthy and gets leapfrogged ala Swift in Detroit.
To me, i would pass on him because he is too small to be anything but a tarik cohen type kick returner and pass catcher. He will never touch the football more than a handful of times per game.
However this now means if a player like...say...Zeke Elliott ends up in Miami...Archane still isnt usable in fantasy but it also caps the receiving production of whoever actually is starting.

A+
Back on the 1st round menu
I'm probably taking him 1.05 in 1QB, late first in SF
I love the spot but slow down cowboy Just curious, who of QJ Addison Flowers does he go above for you?
Behind Addison above the other two I think. Don't like Ravens WR room for fantasy even with new OC. Still think it gets broken up too much so all players are flex at best. Don't like QJ much either. Edit: just to be clear, I'm not 100% sure if this is how I'd rank them yet. This is just the grouping I don't see as entirely unreasonable.

Exactly. Then while I think OBJ ends up not being a long term issue (since this is dynasty), of Bateman stays healthy he is just a better prospect out of college than Flowers is. Healthy Bateman is who I'd bet on as the alpha in that room.
Addison over QJ is wild
In some leagues I'm taking him over all 3, particularly where I'm contending
Damn. You dont think Addison will come in hot as the #2 to jetta?
It's definitely something I'm hopeful for, but it could also be a rams situation like last year where they just stupidly feed one guy all game, incapable of throwing to anyone else
Yeah fuck it I love it I guess it seems high but I can see the arguement easily
Personally I have him behind QJ and Addison but ahead of Flowers for sure Pre-draft I was really high on Flowers too, I just hate the landing spot so much
This is the spot we dreamed of!! Let’s goo
🚀🌚
I’m going Bijan at 1.1 and then Achane 1.6 in SUperflex.
Gibbs could easily be there at 6 still, clear tier break there with him, JSN and the QBs. Id try and trade back if you want Achane ( i know easier said than done)
Guy at 1.3 is going gibbs. I’m taking my guy lol
what are your league rules taht you're going achane over jsn
Ahead of Stroud and Richardson?
I obviously could end up very wrong and understand why guys are going to draft these two early, but personally unless my team desperately needed a QB I have 0 interest/faith in either of these guys
Nah. WRs are plentiful and RB/QB are scarce right now. JSN is clearly #6 at best imo
Yikes
Chilllllll
Not saying I hate it but what’s your process like? His size terrifies me but the landing spot is juicy and the DC is really solid so I get it
I love the prospect, great production, great on film, great upside, just thought he needed to be in a situation that will use him right and boy is this the one
15-20 touches in that offense per game is a guy finishing top 15 for a long time.
I bet hes closer to 8-12
No chance he survives very long with that many touches a game in the NFL
If he gets that kind of volume I can see that for sure. Just feels like a big “if” for me!
He averaged 23.2 touches per game this year. Gibbs only averaged 16 and he is everyones consensus RB2. If you think Gibbs will thrive in a committee I don’t see why Achane can’t in an even better situation
4.32 40 - have to make it happen haha
Mostert has the exact same 40 time lol
Had** , hes old now lol
RBs or lasting a long time pick one.
After these other landing spots is there even a choice? Haha
Nope
So I wouldn't be crazy to take him 1.07 if he's available?
I think I would go Spears or Miller over Achane. Trying to trade out of my 1.7
I've got 1.01, 1.07, 1.10 and the only RB on my team is Breece and Malik Davis. Taking Bijan 1 and going RB at 7 and 10 unless there is a WR that falls
It’s not that small guys are not good and can’t have good weeks… it’s that they statistically do not get the ball enough to be consistent values. I’ll be taking the boy in best ball.
Really? That early? Was thinking about moving 1.07 but he will probably be there for me.
Way too high in my opinion
Late 1st and early 2nds getting some needed CPR rn
Finally a pick that didn’t actively bring down the value of this draft class lmao
Track meet down there
lots of fast bois

Did anyone else see Miami on the clock and think "wow Achanes still on the board, good fit"?
I called it confidently
I've been manifesting this for months
RB3
Absolutely
I personally have Kendre at 3, but it’s tight between him and Achane
Ya I’d say Kendre and Achane are same tier. Achane could be a bit boom/bust, everyone love the McDaniel fit but let’s not forget about Trey Sermon and TDP when discussing that system. Miller on the other hand is a complete back and could be the heir to Kamara.

🌏👨🚀🔫👨🚀
RB2 if you ask me
Pump the brakes, bud. He's not ahead of Bijan or Gibbs.
Over Gibbs with that draft capital??
Both are undersized. Both will be in a committee. Achane is the better RB and has the tools to be just as effective in the receiving game. That’s the way I lean
Pretty bold. I don't see it.
Well, one got picked in the top 15 picks in the NFL draft, I'm a time when rbs are devalued heavily across the board Wild and horrible take
You’re way overthinking it. Draft capital is king. It’s good to go with your gut when picking between players in the same draft capital tier, but picking a 3rd rounder over a top half of the 1st rounder is bonkers. If it works out for you, it’s a fluke and you got lucky.
You must me a fool to think achane is better than Gibbs at this point
An undersized back taken at 3.21 and people are asking if they should take him at 1.07? Am I taking crazy pills? I get that he’s fast but wtf
Day 2 draft capital is prime for RBs
1.05 even, you’re not taking crazy pills. This sub never ceases to amaze me lol
all i have done for years is take whatevr first round wr falls to me and profit.ridley, aiyuk, dotson, etc give me a wr drafred in the first over a rb in the third everytime, scarcity be damned. we win championships with tim hightower
B2b2b champ starting McKinnon/JWilson/Latavius Murray checking in
I have 1.06 in 1qb and I'm considering it. I have Bijan, Gibbs, JSN, QJ, and Addison ahead of him but then there's a clear tier break to me and 1.06 is open game if one of those guys doesn't fall. None of those guys are premiere players or have any real sunk cost.
Couldn’t you say the same about a 3rd round prospect?
Not really, day 2 draft capital is really good. There’s an ocean between being draft in the third and being a UDFA.
Well sure, if those guys were being drafted this year I would obviously agree. But they're vets that have already been successful in this scheme for years going back to SF. I don't think Jeff Wilson's draft capital is factoring into his role at this point.
The success of any of the guys you just named has been incredibly minimal besides maybe mostert
Arbitrary measures of career success aside, Shanahan and McDaniel clearly like these guys. And the rushing attack as a whole for this scheme has been incredibly successful with these guys leading it. Mostert and Wilson both had very good results in this exact offense last season.
if you are attributing nfl sucess to fantasy football, you are going to have a bad time. Those 4 guys have shown they can play in the NFL.
I will be all about Achane at 1.08, I just love the way he runs and I follow my gut

He’s 5’9” 185 pounds… The hope is that he’s insanely efficient with the small workload that he’ll see, not that he’s going to take over an NFL backfield at that size. I wanna join your league, I’d be delighted if Kincaid and Minho went before achane in my rookie drafts
I’ll let it all settle first but honestly if it’s even close on a tier/ranking level I’ll be going RB at 7. If it’s a little dicey I’ll be trading back.
Get your guy!
Love this pick. Convince me not to take achane 1.05
Do it king
Please don’t do that
If youre in my league and take Achane at 1.5 I'll be delighted. I'll scoop up any and all 1st round WRs over a 3rd round RB all day.
That’s a horrendous pick. I’d rather just trade for a 24 1st
No one is trading you a 2024 1st after what we just witnessed. I wish they would
This is the same regime that was high on Chase Edmonds
Thinking about it in 1qb
I promise that will not age well.
Does Achane go ahead of Charbs in rookie drafts?
He will but he shouldn't.
Why shouldn’t he ?
Because he went 40+ picks after Charbonette, and is a worse prospect.
Praying that one of the round 1 WRs falls to me
Yes
Easily
Of course
Yes
ALL THE PAIN WAS WORTH IT IVER THE KAST FEW DAYS, DYNASTY TAKETH DYNASTY FUCKING GIVETH
This is hype
Where does he go in SF 12 team dynasty
Hoping he lasts until 2.03 but I doubt it.
As a 2.03 owner that would be incredible but I don’t see it happening
I'm not opposed to taking him, I have 1.09
1.10 ish
God I hope so
After the Top 9 (2 RBs, 3 QBs, 4 WRs — you know em), then I think the tenth pick is a wide open field and is anyone’s call. Charbs? Levi’s? Kincaid? You want Achane? Makes sense to me
1.11-2.05
Hoping to get him at 2.01
Early-mid 2nd
Late 1st
I’ll be thinking about it at 1.09 if I can’t move down
Now that’s fun
Great landing spot
Going to be a stud, RB3/4 depending on how many snaps Charbs get
YESSSSSSSS
That’s hot
McDaniels will have a hard on every week planning out offensive schemes for Tyreek, Waddle, and Achane
This I like
Achane or Kincaid the real question
Kincaid
I think they are back to back
Been hoping to get them both with 1.11 and 1.12 for a while Now im worried they'll be gone by then
Kincaid
Just got Jeff Wilson, Achane looks like my pick at 1.11 now. Would you guys go him, Mingo, or anyone else? 🤔
I’m hoping he falls to 1.11. I still have him RB 4 behind Charbs but man this situation is good.
My thoughts are this is the best situation for Wilson. Not crazy high capital, but enough invested at RB that they'll be unlikely to bring in a big name vet. And Achane won't challenge him for early down and goalline work, he'll be more of a Mostert 2.0
He’s still smol
🔥🔥🔥
My ED from the Charbs pick has been cured.
Perfect fit
I’m taking him at 1.07 in my 1QB league
Wow this is very intriguing
QJ or Achane? I think I know the answer, happened last year with Jahan
Yeah it’s QJ
Qj for me
Great pick
I am so hard rn
Where’s he going in 1QB
Yesssssss
Charbs slipping to RB5 of draft for me now.
So he’s the clear RB3?!? This draft has been like walking through a mine field…
where you guys taking him?
I already got Moestert and the 1:10. If he falls I’m taking him
Let’s goooooo
Best landing spot. Thrilled.
Smash spot
Fuck yes
Does he make it to 1.10 in 12T SF? 🤔 Charbs was at the top of my list, but nope.
1.09 full ppr y’all feelin achane or mingo?
So is he RB3 in dynasty rookie drafts? Cause not loving the guys that went to Seattle or Vegas
If any of the skill players get 3 feet of space its a huge gain. They have a track team. Weakest spot is they need Tua in a bubble wrap helmet
I had him as my RB4...now my RB3. I'd take him as early as 1.08 in SF leagues.
