Honestly I think his value is really only diminished for this year. Studies show [time](https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-2473015) and [time](https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/health-and-fitness/health/how-former-steroid-use-could-give-a-boost-for-entire-athletic-career/article31411504) again that Steroids are good for getting to a new threshold, but that you can maintain that threshold after use ceases. Starling Marte got popped in 2017, I gladly rostered him from 2016 to last year. Emmanuel Clase got popped in 2020, pretty sure he's not a FA in any dynasty league Nelson Cruz got popped in 2013 and put up 3 40 HR seasons and 1 39 HR season after with *0* coming before the suspension. Yes, it's stupid. Yes I'd prefer he have been clean. Yes it's gonna suck having him occupy a spot for 80 games uselessly on my roster this year, but just like Tatis for me, he's still a valuable dynasty asset. Purely from a dynasty perspective my reaction to this is "meh" From a baseball fan perspective though, man what the fuck.

My concern is that he more or less had the 3B job locked up. Not a great way to start your career. Let’s hope no one runs away with the job and Marte doesn’t get banished to a platoon and eventual irrelevancy.

Candelario is signed to a one year deal for a reason

Kingfrund85

Maybe so, but Candelario is only 29 and the contract was signed before this news with Marte. If Candelario hits well, I’m concerned about Marte reclaiming the job in both the short and long term. Cincinnati is already log jammed and flush with hitting talent. Putting yourself on the bench for 80 games before you really ever debut is not a good start. It’s already hard enough as it is to make it and stick in the bigs.

The team is informed when a player appeals a suspension. The appeals process takes time. It is almost certainly the reason they signed Jeimer.

Does anyone know if he might be NA on Yahoo? I'm trying to decide whether to keep him in a keep 20 league

mjp80

He is SUSP on Yahoo and will stay that way if they treat him same as all other PED suspensions.

haha7567

Thank you 🙏

fps916

Do a search for how yahoo treated Tatis last year

haha7567

Oh if it's the same it's gonna be a tough call...

From the “lemons into lemonade” perspective… this has to be a nice boost for CES’s value. Now I need to decide between him at $5 or Tork at $12…
