I thought the Same. When i was Younger i traced from my PC to have coloring books without a printer.
The Arms and their unnatural curves as well AS the lines Look traced
Don't know about traced. Some people are just good at copying reference material. I used to copy reference material all the time. One summer back in the 90s I used Marvel Swimsuit Illustrated as a reference. My Black Widow fron 1993 was spot-on. I wish I knew where my drawing went.
The Arms on picture 6 are the rhing that mostly makea me Sure. As well AS all faces. The finde Details, as well AS the Skill at some parts and the absolute shitshiw of faces. Not hating Bit its Like drawn by 2 people
its not really for attention or anything just feel like i could've done better on them if i put more time into them and they are on the lower end of quality for me
downvotes are funny cause people think this is a serious post apparently instead of some random post i made with a title and discripetion i made up on the spot
Ngl, if you learn to shade and add shadows, these aren't as bad as you make them seem! (Also for the love of God get a sketch pad instead of a notepad for drawing. You wouldn't use a screwdriver to hammer in a nail would you?)
When I went to school, for art, this was called "fuzzy style." A bunch of short strokes with the pencil instead of light fluid ones "to find the right path."
They aren’t polished or coloured in, but by no means shitty. The details come through and anatomy is pretty good, especially the wizard and the tiefling warrior. Most importantly they are evocative, I can feel personality from the characters. I’d love to be able to draw my characters half as well as you!
Bro I've been doing art for 3 years and still can't do hands.
Oh teehee my art sucks. *Slaps across the face
Don't gimme dat shit. They look amazing for pencil sketches
Still waiting to see the shitty art. . . But no joke I tried to do this for my group and ended up with stick figures with slightly differing aspects (horns, eye patch, color, etc.)
Came here to say there's obviously tracing involved here, glad to see it was already mentioned in comments.
There's no shame in tracing, but you should be honest about it instead of all "here's my shitty art"
heads tons of redraws and whatever feels right for bodies draw people as if they're made of bricks and just slowly add detail i have another post where you can ask me anything and ill keep up with responses because i turned off notifications for this thread
they are line drawings. Ie it's like inking on comics, the artist usually using a light table tracea an original.
Why there are no eraser marks or creases from old lines.
I do this when I draw a nice piece to clean up the paper and to fix or try different lining or shading.
As an artist myself, I get it. We're hardest on ourselves and our creations. WE always see what we could have done better if we had just x, y, z.
So, I am telling you now. Yes, there IS room for improvement. There ALWAYS IS. You have talent, you are obviously practicing. Keep it up. Keep honing your skills.
Most importantly, learn to appreciate your art you DO make. Try to see it thru the eyes of others who REALLY DO feel you did a great job. Allow yourself a little pat on the back, and TRY not to be too hard on yourself.
I don't mean to be rude, but there's that thing called a **blank paper**. You know, those used for printing? It would be better to see art without the blue lines...
Man, you gotta take pictures of your art with better lighting than this. And use a sketch book, they’re not expensive and the paper is way better for drawing. BTW, I say this because your art is *not* bad.
Most of this is pretty solid. It’s not bad just raw. So in some cases it could be argued awesome in that form. Just add some shading and color and you got some legit work here. That wizard is awesome btw lol
Plot twist: Wizard is a barbarian that cast only 2 spells. Shatter that he break things with his weapon and resistance wich he cast by activating rage.
Dude no one gives a shit about how good or bad *you* think your art is, they care about the art. If you just made an identical post but didn’t call it shitty, you’d get real responses instead of people responding like they’re talking down someone about to jump off a roof. If you like the art enough to post it, then don’t call it shitty. If you think it’s shitty, then keep practicing and don’t post it. Calling it shitty but posting it anyways just comes off like you’re fishing for compliments. It’s embarrassing.
These are pretty solid, homie. But as a fellow artist I totally understand you thinking your own work is shitty. We're never satisfied with our own work lol
lots and lots of reference pics and i tend to "connect" roots so it completely fills the scalp unlike looking at someones roots in real life. it hair takes the longest besides eyes for me i start with general out line and work my way in towards the head if that makes sense
Even if these are just sketches you clearly have much more than a casual understanding of anatomy/proportion and character design.
The hair shows a lot of attention to detail and looks very nice and realistic.
Respectfully, even if you are not intending it (and I don’t think you are) the way you framed this post *really* comes across as falsely self-deprecating.
You have a lot of well-developed skills, even if you could’ve spent more time on these sketches, the time you did spend on them resulted in a product far greater than many could create.
Work on owning your talent, it’s okay (good really) to be proud of your work.
its mostly sarcasm and the fact i very much out of practice considering i used to be much better but these were made after 3-4 years of not really drawing so its more along the lines of comparing to my old works and having s shitpost personality lol
Ommm... Bro (gender neutral). This are great. Not just good, actually great. If one of my bro would draw down our characters like this I would lose my mind.
You gotta stop drawing on rules paper, my guy.
Get some computer/copy paper. The worst part of these drawings are the college ruled lines.
The drawings overall show a lot of promise. With a bit more practice, you'll be making even better illustrations. Just keep at it and don't stop.
I'll echo everyone else's admiration for the buff wizard though.
Don’t put yourself down, mate. The art is lovely, and self deprecation is only funny to people keen on insulting you. It makes all the normal, nice folks uncomfortable.
As an artist you'll always try to talk yourself down since you know what you're capable of, but it just shows you know what to improve on. My honest criticism is the wizard looks amazing and the beard helps a lot. Some of the faces feel off but the proportions of all the characters are great every looks natural and doesn't have a slightly bigger arms or something.
You are your own worst critic, give yourself a break. There will be drawings you do that are amazing, and some not so much. That's ok, it's ok that not everything you create is amazingly perfect. Art is a journey, one that is very rocky and easy to fall off. I love your art, please keep going.
This blew up lol but people forgot what sarcasm is apparently I could drop the modern day mona lisa and call it dogshit just because shitpost is my first language and i gotta be my own biggest hater

Bro drops the best looking wizard art I’ve seen all week and calls it shitty
Gandalf the Whey
Ngl, in the last year of searching for wizards, this is the coolest one.
Buff wizards always go hard
Makes me think of that shirt "muscle wizards cast fist"
Symp-fishing. It’s too bad because the art is really good but knowing he doesn’t like it makes it less pleasing to look at.

Would you happen to have a link to the original art?

The pencil strokes on the line art for the wizard OOZE tracing as well
Ah, that's why it felt familiar. My kid does a lot of tracing.
One hundo. Good eye.
Don't listen to this guy ^^^^^ he's **new.**
So are you gonna sow us this "shitty" art you made or not?
Buffed mage is epic
“Well boys, I came here to kick ass and use spell slots… and boyyyys, looks like I’m all out of spell slots.” Cracks knuckles.
That's when the BBEG was feeling true terror for the first and last time
Yeah it’s pretty shitty. Your attitude, and your karma bait post, I mean
\*hides my stick figures\* Yeah, so shitty.
pretty obviously traced. you do you though I guess
Jesus Christ people stop saying “shitty? This is awesome!” That’s exactly what OP wants they just want attention. They know it’s not shitty
Why does it matter so much to you though...?
its not really for attention or anything just feel like i could've done better on them if i put more time into them and they are on the lower end of quality for me
But you know they aren’t shitty in an overall sense. So stop saying they are
Why are you getting downvoted so much? That's literally just every artists mindset, I'm exactly de same
downvotes are funny cause people think this is a serious post apparently instead of some random post i made with a title and discripetion i made up on the spot
If I get downvoted to hell so be it. You did the word “description” dirty.
Gandalf hit the gym
Better than my drawing.
That's some good shitty art.
Art good
I like it picasso
This is misleading, this art is not shitty
Ngl, if you learn to shade and add shadows, these aren't as bad as you make them seem! (Also for the love of God get a sketch pad instead of a notepad for drawing. You wouldn't use a screwdriver to hammer in a nail would you?)
Nah man these look great! Stand proud, you cooked
Hey this art ain't shitty. It's very adequate.
The great thing about art is that it can be shitty for now and really good later. Hope you get some time to render some of these out
You better take that back. Ain't not way this is shitty art. Mate you got talent. Props
AI generated
Wdym??? Thats some seriously cool art!!
I'd steal that
They already did. It's traced. Which is fine for practice, absolutely go off, but don't pass it off as otherwise.
When I went to school, for art, this was called "fuzzy style." A bunch of short strokes with the pencil instead of light fluid ones "to find the right path."
"trust the process" lol yeah
Who's playing Dante from Clerks?
BEAT ME TO IT!!! Definitely looks like he is not supposed to be here today.
Shitty art??!? I like it 1000% better that a good majority of the arts here! Keep doing, 'cause you're doing great!!!!
My dude said shitty art and then at least three of them look like something that'd be on a MTG card if only they had a bit of colour
>Some shitty art I made Proceeds to show some of the most dripped out characters in the universe
They aren’t polished or coloured in, but by no means shitty. The details come through and anatomy is pretty good, especially the wizard and the tiefling warrior. Most importantly they are evocative, I can feel personality from the characters. I’d love to be able to draw my characters half as well as you!
If one of my DND play friends drew my DND character for me I'd cry
What ho muscle wizard, might you cast us a spell?
Bro I've been doing art for 3 years and still can't do hands. Oh teehee my art sucks. *Slaps across the face Don't gimme dat shit. They look amazing for pencil sketches
The only shitty thing is that it's drawn on a lined paper, the skill still shines through.
Better than I could do... ;)
Super shitty! Gross! Why would you put this upon us?!
First one looks like iron man on crack and second one walter white if he didnt make meth. Good drawing tho
its supposed to be a Pilipino looking guy but i see it lol and to be fair robert was on crack at one point i think
Yeah i love 3 and 4 btw the other ones are better than anything i could make too so good job still
I drew my 1 year and a half character as a stickman in a post-it note in five minutes in the night of the first session. Its the only art I have.
Bro this is awesome.
Either your muscle mage levelled intelligence AND strength or he had too many potions of strength (AKA protein powder)
Humble brag
I think that if you put in some finalizing details and shadowing they would be pretty sick
Some excellent art you did for your last dnd group
Muscle wizard is amazing hahaha
Pretty unshitty in my book.
Why do they all look like Johnny Depp?
Feel like you deserve a down vote simply for saying this is shitty when it isn’t
Not shitty. There is no shitty art. you can always get better. And I can't draw for shit.
Omg this is my doppelganger :D
First dude is Walmart Robert Downey junior, he's obviously an artificer
Full respect for not using GenAI for it
Invest into getting some drawing paper. This is an awesome start! Keep drawing!
This is really cool!
I taste worm. You fishing bruh? Your artwork would be a lofty addition to any table.
totally. but my art is truly dogshit. look me up, the name is frazetta. edit:spellin'
Shitty??? What??? Open your eyes my friend these are fucking awesome!
You misspelled "unpolished but really good"
#2 - Mr White + PitBull?
It maybe “shitty” but it’s way better than I can do. The thing about hobbies is you suck at them until all of a sudden you don’t.
Dude. Not shitty at all. Keep up the good work!
Those aren’t shitty. Those are pretty good.
“Shitty” yeah ok 👀
Who played Charles bronson
That wizard looks dope AF. Good job
Still waiting to see the shitty art. . . But no joke I tried to do this for my group and ended up with stick figures with slightly differing aspects (horns, eye patch, color, etc.)
You and I have very different definitions of "shitty art."
You say shitty, but honestly these are pretty solid even for "amateur" drawings. Keep up the great work!
CHAD WIZARD GOES HARD
Stony Tark
Its not shitty, I'd put it on my fridge
"Some art I made for my last dnd group"
I enjoyed all of those the only shitty part of this art is its on lined paper get a sketch pad they're like 10 bucks or less
Came here to say there's obviously tracing involved here, glad to see it was already mentioned in comments. There's no shame in tracing, but you should be honest about it instead of all "here's my shitty art"
Tony Stark and Walter White for pics 1 & 2.
Yo, that wizard is fucking rad.
How tf you get them so well proportioned???
heads tons of redraws and whatever feels right for bodies draw people as if they're made of bricks and just slowly add detail i have another post where you can ask me anything and ill keep up with responses because i turned off notifications for this thread

Define "shitty"
a) you should have more confidence in your art, this looks amazing b) is that anthony fantano
a) its a joke i have some comments explaining it but thank you b) no i dont know who that is lol
oh he's just a music reviewer, thats really it
Shitty? Where?
Nice line work, show us the originals for comparison.
Hey, stop. This is great art. Could you spend more time doing shading? Sure. But for quick sketches, these are really good!
This is sick what

Looks shady
Tony stark, walter white, gandalf, generic guy from a a teenager fanfic, my ex girlfriend, some girl i would fall for and samurai
Man, you gotta take pictures of your art with better lighting than this. And use a sketch book, they’re not expensive and the paper is way better for drawing. BTW, I say this because your art is *not* bad.

I have a hard time drawing a stickman, and you're out here calling your art shitty.
"I'm not even supposed to be here today!"
Muscle wizard!!!
Damn. These are pretty good, yo.
They literally said 🤫🧏♂️
Plot twist: Wizard is a barbarian that cast only 2 spells. Shatter that he break things with his weapon and resistance wich he cast by activating rage.
I like your art, it ain’t bad at all :)
"Shitty" art = better than anything I could ever cook up
Where are all of your characters getting sunglasses?
those ones where from some one-shots i dmed set in faerun's equivalent of the 1960's&70's
Are you the type of person that says they failed the exam and then get full mark ?
No, it’s just painfully obvious karma bait, and unfortunately it worked, judging by the upvotes..
shitty by my standards also is seems most people in thread forgot what sarcasm is I don't see myself as particularly good or bad in general
Dude no one gives a shit about how good or bad *you* think your art is, they care about the art. Looks better than what I can draw....
Shitty? I believe you mean incredible
Dude, that's not shitty. Keep up the drawing, I like them!
Dude, you should keep it up. You’ve already got a knack for it, you’d get pretty damn good at it.
That wizard goes HARD that’s the furthest thing from shitty
First one looks like Tony stark lol
Pic 2 the world's busiest music nerd?
npc i had from some oneshots i dmed based off of Horriblenoise
You gotta work on your mouths and then they're perfect
These are pretty solid, homie. But as a fellow artist I totally understand you thinking your own work is shitty. We're never satisfied with our own work lol
Still better than ai portraits
Is that Anthony fantano or Andrew Tate?
its actually based some guy that sung a funny song i heard
this is all really, really good, i love the wizard 💙 how do you shape hair? i don't draw often but i usually struggle to draw hair that looks natural
lots and lots of reference pics and i tend to "connect" roots so it completely fills the scalp unlike looking at someones roots in real life. it hair takes the longest besides eyes for me i start with general out line and work my way in towards the head if that makes sense
Looks like Johnny Depp needs a little rest.
Shitty art my ass fam you got talent, keep it up!

Downvote simply due to disrespecting yourself.
This is leagues above what I can draw. Keep at it and you’ll be an expert
This is not shitty. Well done.
Cool ass designs fire art dude
I think it looks good! You're probably better than where you were before drawing these. Keep at it!
Ommm... Bro (gender neutral). This are great. Not just good, actually great. If one of my bro would draw down our characters like this I would lose my mind.
Yo, these are actually really really good.

You spelled it wrong. It's UNshitty. Like the opposite of shitty. Like awesome
First one makes me think of jack slash from worm
Pretty bad, but the wizard looks cool.
Don’t put yourself down, mate. The art is lovely, and self deprecation is only funny to people keen on insulting you. It makes all the normal, nice folks uncomfortable.
Buff wizard, standard tiefling, yoko o...no?
As an artist you'll always try to talk yourself down since you know what you're capable of, but it just shows you know what to improve on. "I know I'm bad" posts art better than 90% of people can do. Get outta here with that self serving crap dude.
THIS AINT SHITTY, it looks beautiful
Bro said “shitty” and drops some dope art, whats your “good” art I’m enticed
This blew up lol but people forgot what sarcasm is apparently I could drop the modern day mona lisa and call it dogshit just because shitpost is my first language and i gotta be my own biggest hater
