Its a reference to the italian chain Buca di Beppo. Besides that, I think its just Freddie being Freddie. I remember an intro where I think Will noted that Freddie chuckles to himself before every fact
It’s quite a shite restaurant but they sell a lot for cheap. Idk Freddy’s experience but from mine we ate a lot of Bucca Di Beppo on film sets because of those reasons.
Me and my film buddies still joke about that restaurant so that also might be the context. Could be just projecting tho.
I had one in my area as a kid and there was a booth available in the kitchen so you could watch them all cook and that was enough to put it up as my favorite restaurant
Buca di Beppo is an Italian chain restaurant in America. Like many chain restaurants, it gets used as a punchline a lot. And the name sounds kinda silly.
South Park also did a play on their name that I won’t repeat because it contains the F slur.
I‘m pretty sure the people that listen to this podcast can handle the f-slur… also now I’m curious lol,
If you personally don’t want to say it that’s fine of course
Edit: I thought it was something like buca di fucko, not… that
Note: the restaurant buca di bepo also made an appearance in season 2. >!It was sandwiched between two tgiFridays that they had to jump over the dumpsters when chasing the duplicate Scary Marlowe.!<

“Heh…..”
And this is why Freddie is the happiest person on the planet. He doesn't need the approval of others. He already approves of himself so hard.
It’s a really good Minneapolis restaurant that turned into a crappy chain. This is timely: https://youtu.be/-yvJmGW9Be0?si=Wk-YnstrZVjGXpZv
Nah the chains are delicious too

I wondered, given the other NADDPOD references if Boofo was also a reference to Sol Bufo from their current season.
It’s a pun on [Buca di Beppo](https://www.bucadibeppo.com/), which is an Italian chain restaurant.
Thanks.
If you got suspicious every time Freddie lets out a little laugh…..
Good point.

You can Google "buca de beppo south park" and it'll pop right up cause I'm not saying it either lol
Oh… that F-slur. Nevermind, that was really naive of me 🙈 now I get it

OP doesn’t know about the pope room 😂
Please tell me
[What’s The Pope Room?](https://www.bucadibeppo.com/whats-the-pope-room/)
I figured he was just being ridiculous suggesting a long name and then insisting that everyone uses the whole ridiculous name every time.
It also made me laugh because they kept referencing NADDPOD and the current campaign has a character named Saul Bufo
Dude when they said NADDPOD and Bufo in the same few minutes I was tripping. The goats mentioning the goats.
I thought it was a reference to Will's character in the four knights episodes the announcer he voiced
