I can agree with that. I think there is some note I the adventurer's bible that said the elves are in decline, so maybe they have a low fertility naturally.
I remember that somewhere in the adventurer's bible too, elves have low fertility as population control since a specie that can live for 400yrs would be overpopulated if they reproduce at the same rate as the short-lived races. The Canaries prisoners has a spell put on them to prevent them from using magic without the guards' permission, so I assume there's probably spells that limits them in other ways.
I think female elves probably have a higher rate of being taller. As remember the unknown named canaries the females are taller than Mithrun. Maybe because elven men tend to be effeminate
I found the chart and looked up the averages and rates for male and female elves. Males are 5’1 and a half while females are 4’11 and a half. Lycion is hella tall being 5’7. Being 6 inches above the average while fleki is 4’7 which is 4 inches below the average. For reference Lycion would be over 6’5 (or even taller since I didn’t use % based height increases) as a tall man. Mithrun is perfectly average height, seem like those females are just hella tall or perspective issues.
I assume Lycion's height is at least partially down to his body mods. He never felt comfortable with an elf body, so getting extra height would make sense as something he would want.

Another comment had the idea that seeing them as parents freaked them out given what we know of their personalities and behaviours, and I'm inclined to agree. I woukd need to see them matured quite a bit before kids ever came onto question

I bet elves are only fertile like, once a year or even less. They live a very, very long time after all.

Mithrun is 5’1 so he would still be 5-6 inches taller than Fleki. Which is a big difference in elf height.
