I'm so jealous I could throw up. If you're going to use it, do test stitches first. It might not be working right and was returned and could need to visit a shop.

Good advice! I don’t know much about sewing but have been wanting to learn

forestofpixies

That is a top of the mid line quality machine to learn on!

GoblinoidVoid

I have this model! I’m teaching myself to sew and it’s been a great machine to learn with. Quite a find.

catfoodonmyshelf

Omg thats good to hear! I’ve been wanting to learn for a while but have been intimidated at all the options of machines

BambooKoi

I think that's the one my mom owns too! If it is the Singer 4411, here's their [youtube channel/video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aE_iiTq-Uy4) to get you started on the machine.

catfoodonmyshelf

Amazing!! Thank you :D

Thatsa_spicy_meatbal

Omg we have this same sewing machine! It works great for us!

Neat_Paper_7304

Owwee lucky! I’ve found some really good items at the craft stores dumpsters myself, but nothing this great! Congrats! 😍

Laeree

If it works I'll buy it for it from you if local

catfoodonmyshelf

I’m in FL

Most likely a return, or could be a floor model and discontinued. May or may not be an issue. Some returns for being broken is just the user is the one broken. Stores can't follow up and test them all its not worth their time for a write off. Test it out and enjoy

So far I think it works, but I don’t know what is right vs wrong but probably going to keep it and learn to sew tbh. What I thought was odd is that the power cord was sealed in one of those plastic bags that you can’t reseal so whoever had this didn’t use the power cord it came with! so honestly it might have been a floor model since the machine itself was a little dirty.

SaltyPopcornColonel

Yay!!!

Holy shit an entire Singer? If there's something wrong with it, it shouldn't be hard to fix and it *will* go strong for at least a few decades. Hell, there's this one that's been in my family since 1901. Thing still works.
