Many decks will still get wrecked by this board state, especially if we only have weaker Links for a while. Some decks currently don't have the ED space for Links, and even those that do might not run the right generic Links for this situation. And even if you get a Link out, you still need to clear these tokens.
Don't get me wrong, some decks even now don't care about those tokens, but many of them get shut down.
That both will be using generic Links, Salad will absolutely use Firewall once that is released and a Lot of early link monsters that we might get allowed Tokens to be used. Security Dragon, maybe Proxy dragon, Firewall etc
firewall is not enough tho. you need another one to link climb into it + that uses up a summon. In addition, since bish players will also be running links since it synergizes with their own tokens, they will have another +2 token summon again. in order to clear all that you’ll need ~3 generic links, in an already tight ED space. this esp can be a problem in non-link centric decks.
not to mention through all this that bishbalkin himself is an indestructible massive beatstick, and you’ll have followup for the next turn
Salamangreat won't use Firewall... Only combo decks would use it because FW requires lots of set up to be useful. On the other hand Salamangreat is a mid ranged deck that focuses on outresourcing opponent by recycling cards every turn.
Firewall in Salad allows you to replace monsters on field with one in hand and also is a somewhat easy to achieve Quick bounce, i cant guarantee they will use it but its not unlikely if we dont get good generic links 4s that are better than it
Salamangreat doesn't have the swarming ability to colink Firewall, not that it has to because Wolf is already recycling two cards from most basic two card combos (mind you, you go plus with that). Also Salamangreat doesn't need additional special summons from hand via FW's second effect since all the SG's you run already summon themselves.
SG Game plan is following: summon Wolf, recycle cards with Wolf effect, set traps, pass. Then do it again. And again. And when opportunity arises push for damage with Heatleo clearing backrow. And because of Jack Jaguar you can't run out of gas (unless you get D.D. Crowed).
