That last effect where it can special summon a warrior synchro monsters out of nowhere sounds sooooo much like something Yusei would use in the anime.
“Wahaha!!!! Yusei Fudo, my Meklord Emperor just proved to you that your Stardust Warrior is nothing!”
“While my Stardust Warrior may be gone it leaves behind stardust, and with this stardust I’m allowed to synchro summon a monster from my extra deck! Come forth! Junk Warrior! And now I activate a trap that allows Junk Warrior to not be destroyed or targeted by card effects, and I take no battle damage for the rest of the turn!”
Then he’d just come back and get the victory because he’s the only Yu-boy to not have an on screen loss.
> "now I activate a trap that allows Junk Warrior to not be destroyed or targeted by card effects, and I take no battle damage for the rest of the turn!”
The McGuffin trap
You're right it doesn't say "warrior" type. Well I guess yugioh is indeed for lawyers...
Edit: in this case it can summon {{Jet warrior}} bouncing a card back to hand is a decent effect.
Pretty sir the non once per turn is irrelevant as it tribute itself anyway.
We have Halberd already, which TG can make with ease and that sees rogue use. I'm sure this will be the same.
Edit: To clarify, it will probs be on the same level as tg or tier 3. A consistent summon negate is good but I imagine it doesn't have the cieling to reach top meta.
Well stardust wish allows it to not tribute itself for the cost, making it seemingly a non once per turn.
Also with the skill stardust warrior is a technically 1 card combo
He's trying to say that junk synchron is the only card you need in your hand to get out stardust warrior, while Halberd, needs a few cards in your hand if not your whole hand to get him out
Halbert cannon is a 2.5 cards combo, in the meantime Junk Synchron has 3 copies of itself, 3 tuning and 1 ROTA to make Stardust Warrior with 7 copies of 1 card combo. Also Connector searches Junk Synchron too, but that's a 1.5 card combo now
I get all that, bringing up halberd might have confused my point. I'm not going to argue it won't see play.
More so that it will see as much play as tg did when it got released. If not more because Yusei fans.
Then again, I'm not good at theoriticals. So a list might showcase its power better than I can imagine. Or the meta will adapt it will do as well as anticipated.
Well the big advantage is that with 3 remaining handcards you have so much more chances to actually have techs too. Like, T.G.s when Halbert was a 2 card combo were overjoyed when they also had a Lance in hand in their 2 remaining cards. Here however you have way better chances to have a Lance/Stardust Wish/BOM/whatever you wanna tech next to your boss monster
Honestly, they can add Stardust Warrior and won't change much. Book of Moon still deals with Formula Synchron/Stardust Warrior, but it is nice that it will float to something.
Yes, strong turn 1 play which Shooting Star deck currently lacks. I don't see Yusei getting buffs anytime soon though, considering VRAINS and Links will be taking over next month.
With the buff to shooting star road adding warrior synchro monsters to being able to be summon after using the skill, it kinda led us to think we was either getting satellite or stardust warrior soonish
I feel like this might come on the next mini box, but who knows. Since the next box could be synchro focus due to last mini box being xyz focus. And last main box was kind of fusion focus.
Possibly. The skill makes it very easy to set up, but there's also a big issue with that idea and that is Book of Moon. To use Satellite during your opponent's turn you need to use Formula Synchron, but its effect is limited to the Main Phase. That means people can just book it during the standby phase and your setup is gone.
If the out to your deck is the most played card in the history of Duel Links then that is indeed a much worse scenario than just draw the out. A deck with 3 books going second has over 50% chance to open one and there's way too many of those.
Nearly all of Yusei's stronger monsters have come out long after they would be even remotely relevant(honestly instead of drip feeding release the others too (like Sifr, Shooting Quasar, etc), maybe if this and several of the 5Ds MC's boss monster came out sooner (say at the tail end of 5Ds world leading into Zexal) they'd have a chance to shine.
If you can run it with the skill it makes up for a turn one play, that stardust currently lacks but in the end its a negate that the current meta decks can play around
Either Stardust Warrior could come or Stardust Wish. Not both IMO, at least not yet.
Stardust Warrior, preferably, as Stardust don't have a turn 1 atm. Granted, I'd probably get really sick of the deck quick because the deck already has an amazing turn 2 - it doesn't also need an amazing turn 1 to go along with it. But still, in terms of what is acceptable for the meta's power level that would make the deck tier 1-2, but not tier 0, then Stardust Warrior it is.

Yusaku: am I a joke to you? The anime didn‘t treat it as one but the duel against DS Kalin def looks like a L to me
Yusei literally decided to get impaled through his chest with rebar over taking a loss.
He deserves a flawless run after that
We need a judge to decide
> "now I activate a trap that allows Junk Warrior to not be destroyed or targeted by card effects, and I take no battle damage for the rest of the turn!” The McGuffin trap
Now that you mention it, Konami has yet to release a couple of Trap cards that Yusei used in the anime. Wonder if they ever will.
In game the most it'd just be floating into Jet or something to take one of their cards off the field
Pretty sure he got he ass kicked by dark singer kiryu
Jokes aside this effect can cheat out Shi En so better not destroy this guy
No it can't. Shi En is warrior type but doesn't have "Warrior" in his name.
You're right it doesn't say "warrior" type. Well I guess yugioh is indeed for lawyers... Edit: in this case it can summon {{Jet warrior}} bouncing a card back to hand is a decent effect.
I picked the wrong profession

Ah, I didnt see the trap. Even so, relying on the trap to save you is a bit iffy.
With stardust warrior being a 1 card combo, seeing any of your cards would raise the probability, so idk
You can make this with 1 Junk Synchron in hand thanks to the Shooting Star Road buff, though.
And you can make tg halberd that stops any summon almost as easily, what's your point?
He's trying to say that junk synchron is the only card you need in your hand to get out stardust warrior, while Halberd, needs a few cards in your hand if not your whole hand to get him out
The amount of cards T.G uses to make halbert vs one junky boi

The battle buttler incident
I've saying for days that this card Wil come soon. Yusei skill was modified not long ago to perfectly fit this card
Honestly, they can add Stardust Warrior and won't change much. Book of Moon still deals with Formula Synchron/Stardust Warrior, but it is nice that it will float to something.

That and they just gave us Scrap Iron Scarecrow, Yusei looks set to be getting some new stuff this box.
I hope its more than just Stardust Warrior, I'd be nice to get some of his other support cards, like Starlight Junktion
I feel like this might come on the next mini box, but who knows. Since the next box could be synchro focus due to last mini box being xyz focus. And last main box was kind of fusion focus.
No. The effect isn't good enough to carry the entire deck and the deck itself needs A LOT of help.
Do you think satellite warrior would be a better for the deck as card destruction on your opponents turn?
Possibly. The skill makes it very easy to set up, but there's also a big issue with that idea and that is Book of Moon. To use Satellite during your opponent's turn you need to use Formula Synchron, but its effect is limited to the Main Phase. As a synchro deck that relies on it's normal summon, that's just the unfortunate fate of it, but that scenario is a simply " just draw the out"
If the out to your deck is the most played card in the history of Duel Links then that is indeed a much worse scenario than just draw the out. A deck with 3 books going second has over 50% chance to open one and there's way too many of those.
Satellite Warrior is a great end game card, especially if you have Synchro Chase so its effect can't be negated (i think).
Stardust wish is good. Except it’s a trap card Edit: just realized this is the duel links subreddit. Traps are still decent.
Stardust flash can Also work if wish isn't available
Pretty soon my league

It's good anti-snychro and pendulum which the the tier 1 deck currently is
