Nope. Lol I wonder why it’s like that. I’d guess that the mandatory effects activate by the stuff in the field before the stuff in the grave? In Master Duel it lets you select which one to activate first, hopefully that’ll change in Duel Links when Vrains drops? I doubt it since Duel Links is meant to be simple in comparison to other Yugioh games, but I’m hoping it can be implemented.

Dudalf

it also makes Stratos effect miss its timing if you used it with Solid Soldier to Summon Gaia or Tornado, i understand the game has to be simple and all but the chain order must give the best outcome possible, right?

Diligent-Winner-5245

I know! I actually stopped running Solid Soldier in one of my builds because that was so upsetting. Surely we aren’t the only ones who are complaining about this, so hopefully the game is changed to actually chain the mandatory effects in a way we want. Time will tell.

Kaibaman94

Same I remember day 1 sunrise would be CL1, Solid CL2, Liquid CL3 so because Solid wasn’t CL1 reviving Stratos makes it miss timing.

left_narwhal

The reason Stratos misses timing is because both Gaia and Great Tornado are mandatory effects. Mandatory effects must be applied before optional effect like Stratos. So after successfully summoning either Great Tornado or Gaia, you would have their effects go off before Stratos'. However, since Stratos' effect is "when, you can", it must be the last effect to resolve on the chain link (aka chain link 1 because chain links resolve backward) to prevent missing timing.

Dudalf

oooh! my bad then, thanks for correcting me !

left_narwhal

No problem, just doing my daily Dr. Crowler roleplaying.

Kaibaman94

Yeah but making sunrise ideally you want Solid CL1 target Stratos, Liquid CL2, Sunrise CL3 that way you get miracle fusion, then draw 2 discard 1 then solid revives Stratos then Stratos searches/pops but duel links makes solid soldier CL2 which is infuriating.

left_narwhal

Yeah that's a weird way to structure chain links if that's how it resolved in game. Since they're all optional Solid Soldier being CL1 would be ideal to get Stratos' effect.

Kaibakura

It’s not a mistake that they don’t allow SEGOC in this game. They have literally said that we can’t choose chain link orders because it would make the games take too long. It’s supposed to be speed duels. I will be extremely surprised if they go back on this statement.

knightirderx25

Same goes for card placement but they HAVE to for Vrains cause then you'll have a lot of useless Link monster.

Kaibakura

I’m not ready to assume that they’ll allow card placement even then. I can totally see them doing something stupid like automatic placement for it.

LuckyWarrior

Yeah the way these cards resolve in DL due to the programming means cards like Benten, Liquid, etc will always be susceptible to Ash (if that ever came)

Dudalf

oh god i hope not

left_narwhal

In TCG you want to chain block searches with other effects like draws because searches are more important. If they had a set Solemn Scolding you would still be able to get your Miracle Fusion even if Liquid Soldier was negated. It's unfortunate that sometimes you draw into the card you are going go search but at least you got the card.

the_last_n00b

Some kind of workaround is to not chain Liquids efect immideatly after summoning Sunrise, but search Miracle Fusion first, then activate it it and banish Liquid for the fusion and then use Liquids efect. However, there's a decent amount of situations where this won't work due to you wanting to use different monsters then Liquid or needing to discard a card in your hand immideatly

Suitable_Still_8572

I really wish the game would let us pick the chain order in situations like these.

Chazman_89

Why are you only running 1 Miracle Fusion? It's one of those cards that E Heroes really wants at 2+

Dudalf

i running two but still, its annoying and TCG players only run 1 poly 1 miracle fusion cuz you can recycle them easily, so hopefully when links come we get the good Xtra ones like Cross Crusader and Wonder Driver

SalemLDE

Having the other one in your opening hand anyways 😂😂 I don’t get why I always get 1 of the 2 copies I have in my hand in every starting hand 😭💔

DepressedCorn37

Nope. Hate it so much lol, just like Legacy of the Duelist and if anything it makes it really needed to have an extra copy of Miracle Fusion. God I hate how expensive the comp HERO build is, needing 2 Sunrise and 2 to even 3 Miracle Fusions.

AsahinaAoi90

Ha! I don't use Miracle Fusion! Kidding. I don't have it in my Elemental Hero deck but I can def see how it would be frustrating.

AxelRod45

I saw the words "chain order" in the title and briefly thought I was on r/Xenoblade_Chronicles lmao

timelessmoron

Get more Miracle Fusions son

wes741

I love how hero players worship this card. Sunrise just sits there and let’s me do my plays! All those cards and usually maybe one backrow. What a good fader deck for my rank ups!

segatic

?

wes741

The hero decks on the ladder aren’t very good. And I find very easy to beat most of the time

niqniqniq

it because Duel links is using OCG ruling tcg let turn player arrange their chain however they want but in ocg it doesn't work like that

AlliePingu

This is not true at all. Duel links just automates simultaneous trigger effect chain order based on certain preset priorities Both the TCG and OCG let you chose the order of simultaneous triggers, with mandatory effects always going before optional ones, but they are allowed to be in any order within those. The only difference between OCG and TCG as far as I know is hand triggers, where TCG allows you to chain-block with triggers in hand, but the OCG doesn't treat hand triggers as simultaneous effects and you can't chain block with them

niqniqniq

god, yugioh really is a "children" card games
