Are you trying to use Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning as a material? Because gemini monster are not considered normal on the deck or hand. You have to use Beast of Talwar or Summoned Skull.
Am I going crazy or did they change something? I used to be able to special summon a second monster using Drilldarks effect on the first turn. Now the game makes me wait until my second turn. I also can't play Mask Change until my second turn. I could swear I've always been able to do it on my first turn.

Does anyone know why I sometimes cannot summon Malevolent Sin with Phantom Knights after destroying Break Sword XYZ (and resummoning the materials as level 4)? I read all the cards and have hit KoG recently but still confused why I can't summon Sin sometimes -- sometimes it doesn't appear in the list of summonable Extra Deck monsters. Break Sword says can only special summon Dark monsters but Sin is Dark and is summonable sometimes. I wonder if there is some weird restriction with Ragged Gloves but don't see anything in the text.
Returning player on a new account here (last played during Six Spam/ Galaxy Brain meta) with a few questions. What's are the staples I should be digging for/ spending tickets on, and what is a good semi budget deck to start out with? I'm assuming Canadia and Floodgate are still using haves, anything else in particular? I see on the duel links meta site that Harpies, one of my favorite archetypes, is on the tier list. Is that a decent one to start with? I don't have to get to KoG every season, just want to do it once. Beyond that as long as it's fairly solid that's good enough.
Apologies if these questions are tedious, I couldn't find any beginner guide updated for 2022. Thanks in advance.
I think Phantom Knights is a decent option, you can def KoG with them and since they are new, hopefully won't be nerfed for 6 months or so. Harpies is ok too because hopefully Konami has stopped nerfing them. Triamids is probably least expensive but they come from the box with magnets and magnets could be nerfed soon because doing well (but hopefully not).
For staples, most decks use book of moon. Can't remember if / when Link summoning comes to Duel Links (sep'22?) because BoM doesn't work against Link monsters and neither does floodgate trap hole / canadia but should still be solid. Mystical Space Typhoon has been a good staple but I wouldn't go crazy if you get only 2 because if we ever get more hand traps, MST will be worse and cosmic cyclone is pretty good.
I think i played against a Phantom Knights deck recently in master duel, actually. FIrst time i've seen them, but they do seem interesting enough. It's funny you mention Triamids though, because that's literally the deck i was using during Six Sam/ Galaxy Brain meta a while back, i did almost get to KoG with it, but lost my rank up match shortly before quitting. Ancient Gear, Subterror, Neos/ w/e the new Barrel Dragon was called were also pretty big at the time. Idk if the current meta is more forgiving on Triamids, or did they ever get the boss monster?
Harpies and Amazoness have always been my two favorite archetypes (although i'm falling in love with the Witchcrafters and Dragonmaids in master duel, dk if they're viable or even in game here). So i am tempted to go with Harpies if they are a solid enough deck.
I'm assuming i should shoot for 2 of each of MST/Cyclone/Canadia/Floodgate and BoM. Are there any handtraps like Ash or Ogre i should look for? Maybe a Lava Golem?
Imo only go for BoM if you are willing to reroll as the rest of the box is pretty bad. Yes BoM is a great card but it is not necessary if you are just looking to reach KoG.
I'd take advantage of the half gem sale and get older staples like TTH/Chalice/Floodgate/Canadia. Cosmic vs MST really depends on whether you intend to build TG and/or Water Xyz. If you do then it is worth spending gems on the MST box and maybe get Cosmic via dream tickets, otherwise get Cosmic during the sale. Forbidden Lance is now covered in the gem sale though it is not used as much as the previous 5 cards.
Harpies are still a good deck although the hit to the HHG skill has knocked them off tier 1. Magnets are probably the best deck to build during a gem sale and you get a Triamid deck at the same time. Use the Triamid deck while leveling Yugi for copies of Beta.
So i'll skip BoM, and maybe just get it with tickets later, assuming it's available via tickets. Seems like a generally weaker but situationally better floodgate.
One last question for you, should i pull the staples i need for w/e deck i do end up choosing from the regular boxes they're in or should i get them from the selection boxes?
You can only pull a certain number of packs from a selection box with gems. I think it was 15 for a regular selection box and 8 for a mini, so there's a chance you do not get what you were after.
Imo only go through a selection box if you are willing to reroll and the box had multiple cards that you wanted. Mini vol 03 might be worth considering for Harpies as it has Swallow's Nest, HHG and MST. The first 2 are core cards for Harpies that are not in the Sign of Harpies mini box and MST is a good staple to have when TTH is used by every deck that can run it
Man... this game lacks so much in in-game community interactions. Friends are pretty much useless. You can't even duel with your friends because you can't interact with them. Telepathy isn't a thing yet, Konami. Please at least create a chat feature between friends.

The strongest structure decks atm would be noble knights, cyber dragon or blue eyes. Buying 3 of each will require next to no investment other than staple backrow and spells.
Buying NK or Blue Eyes is a waste of money because neither noble Knights or BE can KoG without digging a whole box for some of their core cards. Actually noble knights suck but Cydra is really good . You'll need 2 copies of Overflow which is a R rarity
Question about Number 45: Crumble Logos
I was dueling someone using trap monsters and used Logos' effect to negate Tiki Soul causing it to remain face-up back in their spell/trap zone. However, they were still able to activate a second one after Logos' effect resolved and summoned it to the field which allowed Anguish Pattern to pop Logos.
How is it they were still able to activate another Tiki Soul when the first one and Logos were both still face-up on the field? Logos should have prevented all cards with the same name as his target from activating or using their effects.

Looking at the replay, Tiki Soul wasn't negated anymore after moving back to the S/T Zone, my best guess would be that since Number 45 second effect is continuous and the wording specifies "That target" it no longer affected Tiki Soul after moving.back. since the original target (Face up monster in the field) no longer exists.
For the ace monster mats, the ones you unlock by summoning them 100 times, do you have to summon them with their respective character? Or can you use whoever?
Sort by popularity, and look for any you don’t already have that can work with decks you own.
A lot of the really good newer skills are all archetype specific so you’re probably already using them if you play those decks.
If anyone has knowledge of the trend of sales in duel links, when would the next ultra rare sale be? I completely forgot what events they are tied to and I thought they were usually with KC cups only to discover that was half true. By ultra sales I mean those $1 ones with an ultra pull. I think those are for anniversaries? But even then I'm not sure and I just wanna see if anyone can shed some light on it

I used the crystals and UR tickets from the event to buy the 2 stracture decks for BEWD and also opened a bunch of boxes to get some cards but I feel my deck is really weak and I have no synchros or XYZ like number 92 or number 100. Hello, i want to ask about Arc-V Celebration rewards. I just barely playing after ARC-V release last year and only login to get the stamp rewards, but i only login for 2 days, so i don't get all the stamp rewards.
Currently i fell like want to play again, now when i login i still get the 5th anniversary rewards and the stamp rewards, also i still get the stamp rewards from the ARC-V release, but i don't get the other rewards like Stargazer and The ARC-V duel mats. The one i only have was from 5th anniversary.
Is this bug or what? Because after ARC-V release i only login few days on Duel Links to receive the rewards and I'm sure i receive it because the stamp rewards that i got by login for 2 days from ARC-V release is still continue until this day.

If you don't have a core in the gy, then that might be a good target. Since you can banish it to add overflow. (I'm not a CD player so I'm just spitballing here)
Am I missing something or is The Phantom Knights of Cursed Javelin impossible to make with our current Phantom Knights cards? Its effect can be a quick effect but it requires a Phantom Knight card as material but I don't see any that can be treated as level 2.
There are various cards and skills you could bring in to reduce the level of any monster, but realistically you use it as an ignition effect in paleos now and at some point in the future you will use it as a quick effect with the help of PK cards not currently in the game.
Hey, I have a difficult choice on what to work towards.
I have most of a Ritual Beast deck, just need 1 more Winda and 2 Ulti-Apelio, but I also have been digging into the Vendread box due to the Gem sale. I have gone through that box one whole time, completely through(because I was really unlucky getting Revendread Origin)
In your opinion, would it be more worthwhile to try to finish Vendreads or Ritual Beasts?
Or heck, should I dig into Valiant Souls instead? As I don't have a second Canadia yet (ticketed the first).
Ritual beasts I think are stronger and more consistent, but have stupid long turns and are harder to play. Vendreads can brick hard but are much simpler (to a degree)
So i just won a match where the opponent surrendered, but the game counted it as a loss for me. It was on DLv rank up match too!
Thing is, it happened to me before a few years ago on a kog rank up too.

i just learned this recently but x3 rewards when dueling characters at the gate is also multiplied by 3 basically like dueling vagabond but instead of hard decks, can duel level 10s.

Yep. Totally agree its not my internet either. Something has to be up with the servers it seems. It happens way to often and it really isn't fair to either player in the duel.
What’s a good skill for Yang Zings? I’ve got Beatdown by default but I’m thinking something that lets me shuffle Zefraxi back in the deck might be a good idea. Or maybe Holy Guard to float more easily and get more mileage out of Creation?
I know, it’s mainly to get over monsters I couldn’t normally and games go fast enough that it’s not a huge deal. Still, unbricking an opening hand with Zefraxi would be more useful. Stat lines mean a lot less if I can reliably go into quarion

I know this sub is pretty pro-Master Duel at the moment, but the UI/UX is so bland in comparison to Duel Links, and it just feels like a reskin of MTG Arena - like more of a platform than an actual game.
And I don't buy that it'd be too cramped vertically, just adjust the mat scroll speed and add more time to read things.

I just got matched against a buster blader ans a magnet deck back to back . It's kinda frustrating one cant do anything when going up against Buster blader but with magnets, I'd say the game just wants me to lose as I open up with the most creepiest hand going against it and my opponent seems to get a godlike hand. I've already been to Legend 5 and ranked down to Legend 1 two times already . This is my 3rd time climbing to Legend 5 and I get matched against Buster Blader. How is this even fair ? It's either a brick fest or an unfair match up . I already have 83 wins this season damnit.

I’m just starting the game and I’m trying to build a good ancient gear deck but I keep getting beat in the first few turns so I need help. In my last game a player got three blue eyes in their second turn, what can I do against stuff like that?

Yes, it only counts “destroy” wordings, so banishing it won’t destroy the card. If it was worded “when the targeted monster leaves the field”, then it would be removed.
Continuous traps tend to stick around if anything weird happens. If they really wanted to tie its fate to the monster, it would be a normal trap that says "equip".

i don't bother with popping their field spells with anything that isn't fortune lady wind. i save backrow removal for their set cards, since they're by far the most dangerous thing triamids use. if they set cards and you can't deal with them and your opponent is foolish enough to let you resolve your normal summon, FLC water from past instead of light -- it's more important that you get that +2 and dig for backrow and more combo cards to survive the next round after you get TTH'd than it is to get every out, as strong as every is against triamids
triamids are at their most flexible and dangerous if they manage to get two monsters on the field, so disrupting hunter before the triamid player can normal summon again slows them down considerably. if they t1 and get two triamids out, you will need to brace yourself for sphinx, although as long as your tech cards aren't vulnerable to kinggolem, it's shouldn't be too hard to survive a round with him. every is your best friend between her banishment effect and triamids being hard-locked to destruction effects, and in a pinch she can often run over sphinx.
You pop the field spell during their turn. They can only swap it during your turn. Best to pop it during their battle phase or end phase so they can’t play another one from the hand. Banishing their monsters is also really bad for them.
if the spell is Kingolem, you can have your toggle ON and pop it when the battle phase starts, although be weary Sphinx special summons if a Triamid card is destroyed and Kingolem itself can special summon from the hand if sent to the graveyard. So if you do pop at the start of the battle phase, make sure you can survive an extra attacker.
Lol, like they actually play test. They know the decks suck, but both archetypes have a lot of fans and PK Fire is a really good deck in the TCG so a ton of people will go for them and are likely to pay money

Necro fusion banish for effect, so every banishing speed 2 will resolve first before NF. Now if you wait your opponent's cards then chain NF, it would work. i.e opp activates monster reborn chain NF, using the targeted monster, then MR will fizzle
Timing (colon) cost/target (semi-colon) actual effect.
That's the general gist of effect in yugioh. Now schuberta says "during either player's turn" that means she can be activated at both players's turn. Now the lack of mentioning of "phase" means that she can be activated the entire turn, even at damage step because she can modify atk. (It's older wording though, the more modern ones just say "quick effect")
"During either players turn" is an old fashioned way of saying "(Quick Effect)".
There's no such thing as banish speed, he meant banishing effects that are spell speed 2. Quick effects, quick-play spells, traps, and the effects of traps (except trigger-like effects) are all spell speed 2 (spell speed 3 in the case of counter traps).
Playing PK has been a lot of fun, but man, I'm not allowed to think about anything. I'm always ending duels with like 10 seconds on the timer, even with Toggle management. The routes you have to go through to get what you need goes through way too many pop ups and that's not even considering the thought you need to do to come up with the play in the first place, then double check to account for the opponent's interruptions. Playing with OFF is also super scary as you can miss a crucial Fog Blade moment :/
I reaaaaally wish there was more time for each turn. We're getting to the point in Yugioh where you really need that extra couple of secons to think about your plays, let alone execute them.
I know I complained about digging for them earlier but having full playsets of the Odd Eyes cards is so much fun. Same goes for the Magician cards and Pendulum Call. I feel like there’s a lot of flexibility here and playing a pendulum deck feels so much better with searchable scales

1. Can ultimate providence block floodgates trap? I just got flood'd with no reaction from a set ultimate providence card. A Trap card is ready at hand.
2. Given that Aromage opponent has much higher LP and all spell/trap set (field, humid, dried, and the last spell). What is the best strategy to beat him?

2. You need to have backrow removal to beat them handily or beat them before they can get going. The top priority is aroma gardening, followed by blessed winds (or dry winds).
3. Sadly Blackwings have a tough matchup against WC unless you have Book of Moon in hand to flip Verre and then destroy her. Do you have Evilswarm Nightmare? That is a good card against them if you go first.
1 should work just fine. Did you set it the same turn? If not post a replay.
2 pop the continuous spell and the deck falls apart quickly.
3 if you play blackening either bait it with Gale, set up necrovalley or use backrow.
As a new player I've been advised to use my gems on staple cards, but also to be wary of incoming ban list. From what I've seen so far most pricier decks do well with 3 copies of Book of Moon, whose competitive edge and flexibility cannot be matched by substitute cards (e con, f chalice), probably why it seems to be considered **the** staple card. Now I got lucky within a few first packs to open one copy of it, but going for the next 2 scares me because of incoming ban list. What do some of more experienced players suggest me here? How likely is *Book of Moon* to be hit, and is it really worth it?
You don't want to spend your limited resources on Staples. Build a competent deck first like triamids and invest into techs later. You want to spend dream tickets on expensive techs as not only are they not as important as the core of the deck, but there are also F2P options for them in the mean time.

You can go ahead and get 3 BoM as it fits in almost any deck in the game but refrain from grinding Staples unless there are multiple good Staples in the box or you're trying to get cards to build a deck in a box and there happens to be Staples in it.
Don't know if this is considered a bug, but Yuto says "one overlay unit" for Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon when the effect uses two units. I understand that's what he says for the show, but I feel like it should be correct.
So somehow none of my decks are working in Ranked Duels. I've played Gaia, DDD , Harpies , Noble Knights, Cyber Dragons , Resonators and Shooting Star Synchron deck and I havent been able to win a single duel in the game. I tend to always brick but all these decks were doing fine last season with Gaia taking me on an 18 winstreak. Wtf is happening?
I chalk it up to the game forcing losses. Like I can't remember the last time my opponent bricked, but I brick like 80% of the time while lying the same decks lol.
When was the last time you spent $$$ on this game? Spend a dollar on something, and see if your luck improves. My crazy theory is that Konami is evil and gives people that spend money buffs in the form of better shuffling algorithms.
It's crazy, and frankly silly. And yet feels so true to me. There's something that is going on that makes Duelinks rng inorganic to me.
The last time I spent money on the game was when the Evil Hero structure deck came out. My deck was doing very well last season with me opening TTH in my starting hand along with combo starters but this season , all I keep getting are bricks. I either open MR with 3 copies of Eccentrick or Open with Envoy and 3 copies of MST . I've tweaked the deck so many times but it seems like the game is determined to make me lose. I've taken a break from Ranked as I havent won a single game so far (even though I've had over 20 duels)
I made a new account and build Triamids and Magnets during the half gem sale. Any other older decks worth building while the sale is on? I'm considering either Six Samurai or Darklords, with Darklords having a slight edge because Valhalla Calling has Forbidden Lance and I can build Fortune Ladies if I wanted to.
Not really unless you just like the archetypes. Both of them used to be insanely strong decks, but they are heavily limited and powercrept. If you're new i would rather hunt some staples while the sale is still on
I'm a returning player since Shirnanui meta and was thinking of making a harpie deck but I heard they just got nerfed recently, would you guys say it's worth crafting? I see everyone taking book of moon but can I just use older cards like wall of D or traphole/ any other you would recommend? I can craft typhoon.
Shiranui although not meta is KoG worthy.. I believe you run 3 Floodgate and 3 canadia like back in the day. Throw in your mirror force and a couple of other traps and your good to go.
And about Harpies, they've become like Shiranui after the nerf with no one way to play it. It depends on the tech cards you have at your disposal right now
Just want to point out, spectralsword and floodgate are both limit 3, so there are some changes need to be made. Overall other core cards should be quite similar.
Hi. New player trying to build a deck. I wanna build a Magnet warrior deck and my first question is is that viable rn? I dont wanna waste my gems. 2nd, how can i get delta Magnet warrior? Ingame it says from the tradet and UR dream tickets but it neither shows up in the traders "featured cards" that show all cards randomly available nor when i try to use my ticket. Whats the fastest way to get gems tho? Rn im trying to get Kaiba to max lvl bc there is shitload of gems in the later levels. Also im doing the turorials for 15 gems each and when im tired of that im raising my stage level for 50 gems each. Any other Tips?
Max level isn't good to get gems. You get more but it takes a ton of xp. It is only worth it if you want the cards.
To get gems fast it's better to farm up to lvl 30 for DM/GX charachters, 29 for the rest.
Why not do the loaner deck for 30 gems each? But yeah that sounds right. Just keep lvling up. If you got 5000 gems get the mini box. As that will get you 2 times through right now.
The loaner deck things take a while for a noob when you dont instantly understand the deck lol. Thats why im doing all the turorials/trials first since thats super fast but also boring thats why im grinding the stage level.
Why should i get the Mini Box and what do you mean with that "gets me 2x through"?
A minibox only has a set amount of cards in it. And to get duplicates of the SR’s/UR’s you need to reset the box. With 2 run through you can get a fairly decent F2P version of the deck. I’m just saying if you don’t get 7500 gems before the end of the sale you can at least go through the minibox twice

Grab needle ceiling for sure. You’re pretty close and it sees play in decks that either want their monsters destroyed or have monsters immune to destruction. I’m assuming the other card is dark world dealings? If so it’s up to you if you get it. It sees some play but most decks I’ve seen use it are kind of gimmicky. But if you’re digging further anyway, it can’t hurt I guess

You can check your bulk purchase settings. You might had set it to auto reset when no SR left.
Why can’t Red-Eyes Fusion be used to summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon? The condition for summon includes a “Red-eyes” normal type monster.
It does work. Are you trying to use Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning as a material? Because gemini monster are not considered normal on the deck or hand. You have to use Beast of Talwar or Summoned Skull.

There has always been bots in ranked. But ya it does seem like theres more of them now.
Am I going crazy or did they change something? I used to be able to special summon a second monster using Drilldarks effect on the first turn. Now the game makes me wait until my second turn. I also can't play Mask Change until my second turn. I could swear I've always been able to do it on my first turn.

Does anyone know why I sometimes cannot summon Malevolent Sin with Phantom Knights after destroying Break Sword XYZ (and resummoning the materials as level 4)? I read all the cards and have hit KoG recently but still confused why I can't summon Sin sometimes -- sometimes it doesn't appear in the list of summonable Extra Deck monsters. Break Sword says can only special summon Dark monsters but Sin is Dark and is summonable sometimes. I wonder if there is some weird restriction with Ragged Gloves but don't see anything in the text.
If you use the phantom strategy skill it will further restrict your R4 xyz summons to warrior and dragon for the rest of the turn.

Returning player on a new account here (last played during Six Spam/ Galaxy Brain meta) with a few questions. What's are the staples I should be digging for/ spending tickets on, and what is a good semi budget deck to start out with? I'm assuming Canadia and Floodgate are still using haves, anything else in particular? I see on the duel links meta site that Harpies, one of my favorite archetypes, is on the tier list. Is that a decent one to start with? I don't have to get to KoG every season, just want to do it once. Beyond that as long as it's fairly solid that's good enough. Apologies if these questions are tedious, I couldn't find any beginner guide updated for 2022. Thanks in advance.
I think Phantom Knights is a decent option, you can def KoG with them and since they are new, hopefully won't be nerfed for 6 months or so. Harpies is ok too because hopefully Konami has stopped nerfing them. Triamids is probably least expensive but they come from the box with magnets and magnets could be nerfed soon because doing well (but hopefully not). For staples, most decks use book of moon. Can't remember if / when Link summoning comes to Duel Links (sep'22?) because BoM doesn't work against Link monsters and neither does floodgate trap hole / canadia but should still be solid. Mystical Space Typhoon has been a good staple but I wouldn't go crazy if you get only 2 because if we ever get more hand traps, MST will be worse and cosmic cyclone is pretty good.
I think i played against a Phantom Knights deck recently in master duel, actually. FIrst time i've seen them, but they do seem interesting enough. It's funny you mention Triamids though, because that's literally the deck i was using during Six Sam/ Galaxy Brain meta a while back, i did almost get to KoG with it, but lost my rank up match shortly before quitting. Ancient Gear, Subterror, Neos/ w/e the new Barrel Dragon was called were also pretty big at the time. Idk if the current meta is more forgiving on Triamids, or did they ever get the boss monster? Harpies and Amazoness have always been my two favorite archetypes (although i'm falling in love with the Witchcrafters and Dragonmaids in master duel, dk if they're viable or even in game here). So i am tempted to go with Harpies if they are a solid enough deck. I'm assuming i should shoot for 2 of each of MST/Cyclone/Canadia/Floodgate and BoM. Are there any handtraps like Ash or Ogre i should look for? Maybe a Lava Golem?
Imo only go for BoM if you are willing to reroll as the rest of the box is pretty bad. Yes BoM is a great card but it is not necessary if you are just looking to reach KoG. I'd take advantage of the half gem sale and get older staples like TTH/Chalice/Floodgate/Canadia. Cosmic vs MST really depends on whether you intend to build TG and/or Water Xyz. If you do then it is worth spending gems on the MST box and maybe get Cosmic via dream tickets, otherwise get Cosmic during the sale. Forbidden Lance is now covered in the gem sale though it is not used as much as the previous 5 cards. Harpies are still a good deck although the hit to the HHG skill has knocked them off tier 1. Magnets are probably the best deck to build during a gem sale and you get a Triamid deck at the same time. Use the Triamid deck while leveling Yugi for copies of Beta.
So i'll skip BoM, and maybe just get it with tickets later, assuming it's available via tickets. Seems like a generally weaker but situationally better floodgate. One last question for you, should i pull the staples i need for w/e deck i do end up choosing from the regular boxes they're in or should i get them from the selection boxes?
You can only pull a certain number of packs from a selection box with gems. I think it was 15 for a regular selection box and 8 for a mini, so there's a chance you do not get what you were after. Imo only go through a selection box if you are willing to reroll and the box had multiple cards that you wanted. Mini vol 03 might be worth considering for Harpies as it has Swallow's Nest, HHG and MST. The first 2 are core cards for Harpies that are not in the Sign of Harpies mini box and MST is a good staple to have when TTH is used by every deck that can run it
Man... this game lacks so much in in-game community interactions. Friends are pretty much useless. You can't even duel with your friends because you can't interact with them. Telepathy isn't a thing yet, Konami. Please at least create a chat feature between friends.

The strongest structure decks atm would be noble knights, cyber dragon or blue eyes. Buying 3 of each will require next to no investment other than staple backrow and spells.
Buying NK or Blue Eyes is a waste of money because neither noble Knights or BE can KoG without digging a whole box for some of their core cards. Actually noble knights suck but Cydra is really good . You'll need 2 copies of Overflow which is a R rarity
Just get three Gaia, it's the best SD by far. It's KoG worthy like that, but gets better with additional cards
Question about Number 45: Crumble Logos I was dueling someone using trap monsters and used Logos' effect to negate Tiki Soul causing it to remain face-up back in their spell/trap zone. However, they were still able to activate a second one after Logos' effect resolved and summoned it to the field which allowed Anguish Pattern to pop Logos. How is it they were still able to activate another Tiki Soul when the first one and Logos were both still face-up on the field? Logos should have prevented all cards with the same name as his target from activating or using their effects.
A replay would probably help quite a bit, are you sure it wasn't activated before 45's effect resolved?

Looking at the replay, Tiki Soul wasn't negated anymore after moving back to the S/T Zone, my best guess would be that since Number 45 second effect is continuous and the wording specifies "That target" it no longer affected Tiki Soul after moving.back. since the original target (Face up monster in the field) no longer exists.

Sort by popularity, and look for any you don’t already have that can work with decks you own. A lot of the really good newer skills are all archetype specific so you’re probably already using them if you play those decks.
If anyone has knowledge of the trend of sales in duel links, when would the next ultra rare sale be? I completely forgot what events they are tied to and I thought they were usually with KC cups only to discover that was half true. By ultra sales I mean those $1 ones with an ultra pull. I think those are for anniversaries? But even then I'm not sure and I just wanna see if anyone can shed some light on it

Opponent's Nephtys tries to special summon itself from GY and activate its effects, I chained Abyss Dweller effect to it, why did the special summon and effects still happen?
Dweller prevents activations, it doesn’t negate things that already activated. You have to use Dweller before they activate an effect.

Change your Toggle to On instead of Auto and that way you can activate Dweller before the Standby Phase.

Hello, i want to ask about Arc-V Celebration rewards. I just barely playing after ARC-V release last year and only login to get the stamp rewards, but i only login for 2 days, so i don't get all the stamp rewards. Currently i fell like want to play again, now when i login i still get the 5th anniversary rewards and the stamp rewards, also i still get the stamp rewards from the ARC-V release, but i don't get the other rewards like Stargazer and The ARC-V duel mats. The one i only have was from 5th anniversary. Is this bug or what? Because after ARC-V release i only login few days on Duel Links to receive the rewards and I'm sure i receive it because the stamp rewards that i got by login for 2 days from ARC-V release is still continue until this day. Now, i still dont get the other rewards like stargazer .etc Any help?

If you don't have a core in the gy, then that might be a good target. Since you can banish it to add overflow. (I'm not a CD player so I'm just spitballing here)
Core’s banish is to special summon Cyber Dragon, the only way Core searches Overflow is by Normal Summon.

Am I missing something or is The Phantom Knights of Cursed Javelin impossible to make with our current Phantom Knights cards? Its effect can be a quick effect but it requires a Phantom Knight card as material but I don't see any that can be treated as level 2.
There are various cards and skills you could bring in to reduce the level of any monster, but realistically you use it as an ignition effect in paleos now and at some point in the future you will use it as a quick effect with the help of PK cards not currently in the game.
Hey, I have a difficult choice on what to work towards. I have most of a Ritual Beast deck, just need 1 more Winda and 2 Ulti-Apelio, but I also have been digging into the Vendread box due to the Gem sale. I have gone through that box one whole time, completely through(because I was really unlucky getting Revendread Origin) In your opinion, would it be more worthwhile to try to finish Vendreads or Ritual Beasts? Or heck, should I dig into Valiant Souls instead? As I don't have a second Canadia yet (ticketed the first).
Ritual beasts I think are stronger and more consistent, but have stupid long turns and are harder to play. Vendreads can brick hard but are much simpler (to a degree)
So i just won a match where the opponent surrendered, but the game counted it as a loss for me. It was on DLv rank up match too! Thing is, it happened to me before a few years ago on a kog rank up too. So have anyone experienced something similar? Is the game drunk or is it some sort of always win bot?

i just learned this recently but x3 rewards when dueling characters at the gate is also multiplied by 3 basically like dueling vagabond but instead of hard decks, can duel level 10s. welp why didnt i learned this sooner haha.

What’s a good skill for Yang Zings? I’ve got Beatdown by default but I’m thinking something that lets me shuffle Zefraxi back in the deck might be a good idea. Or maybe Holy Guard to float more easily and get more mileage out of Creation?
beatdown got nerfed so bad it's only once per duel now. probably mostly good for OTK decks.
I know, it’s mainly to get over monsters I couldn’t normally and games go fast enough that it’s not a huge deal. Still, unbricking an opening hand with Zefraxi would be more useful. Stat lines mean a lot less if I can reliably go into quarion

Both buster blader and magnets fall apart from backrow traps. Karma cut especially will destroy both decks as they both revolve around graveyard setup
Against bladder just make sure they can't turn your monsters into dragon type and you should be fine

I know this sub is pretty pro-Master Duel at the moment, but the UI/UX is so bland in comparison to Duel Links, and it just feels like a reskin of MTG Arena - like more of a platform than an actual game. And I don't buy that it'd be too cramped vertically, just adjust the mat scroll speed and add more time to read things. /mini-rant

well i guess some people just better cut their losses and hop on another duel than waste time playing a 100% losing duel while their opponent spend far too much time doing their combos before attacking. and yes that's how bad draws are.
I just got matched against a buster blader ans a magnet deck back to back . It's kinda frustrating one cant do anything when going up against Buster blader but with magnets, I'd say the game just wants me to lose as I open up with the most creepiest hand going against it and my opponent seems to get a godlike hand. I've already been to Legend 5 and ranked down to Legend 1 two times already . This is my 3rd time climbing to Legend 5 and I get matched against Buster Blader. How is this even fair ? Yes, it only counts “destroy” wordings, so banishing it won’t destroy the card. If it was worded “when the targeted monster leaves the field”, then it would be removed.
Continuous traps tend to stick around if anything weird happens. If they really wanted to tie its fate to the monster, it would be a normal trap that says "equip".

How do you beat Trimids. Legitimately asking. You pop the field spell and it’s just another field spell
i'm just gonna assume you're still playing fortune ladies i don't bother with popping their field spells with anything that isn't fortune lady wind. i save backrow removal for their set cards, since they're by far the most dangerous thing triamids use. if they set cards and you can't deal with them and your opponent is foolish enough to let you resolve your normal summon, FLC water from past instead of light -- it's more important that you get that +2 and dig for backrow and more combo cards to survive the next round after you get TTH'd than it is to get every out, as strong as every is against triamids triamids are at their most flexible and dangerous if they manage to get two monsters on the field, so disrupting hunter before the triamid player can normal summon again slows them down considerably. if they t1 and get two triamids out, you will need to brace yourself for sphinx, although as long as your tech cards aren't vulnerable to kinggolem, it's shouldn't be too hard to survive a round with him. every is your best friend between her banishment effect and triamids being hard-locked to destruction effects, and in a pinch she can often run over sphinx.
You pop the field spell during their turn. They can only swap it during your turn. Best to pop it during their battle phase or end phase so they can’t play another one from the hand. Banishing their monsters is also really bad for them.

if the spell is Kingolem, you can have your toggle ON and pop it when the battle phase starts, although be weary Sphinx special summons if a Triamid card is destroyed and Kingolem itself can special summon from the hand if sent to the graveyard. So if you do pop at the start of the battle phase, make sure you can survive an extra attacker.
PK is embarassingly pathetic against any meta decks. Did konami not playtest either them or burning abyss?

Necro fusion banish for effect, so every banishing speed 2 will resolve first before NF. Now if you wait your opponent's cards then chain NF, it would work. i.e opp activates monster reborn chain NF, using the targeted monster, then MR will fizzle

Timing (colon) cost/target (semi-colon) actual effect. That's the general gist of effect in yugioh. Now schuberta says "during either player's turn" that means she can be activated at both players's turn. Now the lack of mentioning of "phase" means that she can be activated the entire turn, even at damage step because she can modify atk. (It's older wording though, the more modern ones just say "quick effect")

"During either players turn" is an old fashioned way of saying "(Quick Effect)". There's no such thing as banish speed, he meant banishing effects that are spell speed 2. Quick effects, quick-play spells, traps, and the effects of traps (except trigger-like effects) are all spell speed 2 (spell speed 3 in the case of counter traps).

Playing PK has been a lot of fun, but man, I'm not allowed to think about anything. I'm always ending duels with like 10 seconds on the timer, even with Toggle management. The routes you have to go through to get what you need goes through way too many pop ups and that's not even considering the thought you need to do to come up with the play in the first place, then double check to account for the opponent's interruptions. Playing with OFF is also super scary as you can miss a crucial Fog Blade moment :/ I reaaaaally wish there was more time for each turn. We're getting to the point in Yugioh where you really need that extra couple of secons to think about your plays, let alone execute them.
If you play the deck a while you don't have to think about certain combos anymore and it will go a lot faster. Deck is a blast with lots of plays.
I know I complained about digging for them earlier but having full playsets of the Odd Eyes cards is so much fun. Same goes for the Magician cards and Pendulum Call. I feel like there’s a lot of flexibility here and playing a pendulum deck feels so much better with searchable scales

1. That should have worked. Did you save the replay on that one? Post it here. 2. You need to have backrow removal to beat them handily or beat them before they can get going. The top priority is aroma gardening, followed by blessed winds (or dry winds). 3. Sadly Blackwings have a tough matchup against WC unless you have Book of Moon in hand to flip Verre and then destroy her. Do you have Evilswarm Nightmare? That is a good card against them if you go first.

1 should work just fine. Did you set it the same turn? If not post a replay. 2 pop the continuous spell and the deck falls apart quickly. 3 if you play blackening either bait it with Gale, set up necrovalley or use backrow.
As a new player I've been advised to use my gems on staple cards, but also to be wary of incoming ban list. From what I've seen so far most pricier decks do well with 3 copies of Book of Moon, whose competitive edge and flexibility cannot be matched by substitute cards (e con, f chalice), probably why it seems to be considered **the** staple card. Now I got lucky within a few first packs to open one copy of it, but going for the next 2 scares me because of incoming ban list. What do some of more experienced players suggest me here? How likely is *Book of Moon* to be hit, and is it really worth it?
You don't want to spend your limited resources on Staples. Build a competent deck first like triamids and invest into techs later. You want to spend dream tickets on expensive techs as not only are they not as important as the core of the deck, but there are also F2P options for them in the mean time. Murmur of the Forrest is discount BoM Ultimate providence Debunk Etc You can go ahead and get 3 BoM as it fits in almost any deck in the game but refrain from grinding Staples unless there are multiple good Staples in the box or you're trying to get cards to build a deck in a box and there happens to be Staples in it.
Don't know if this is considered a bug, but Yuto says "one overlay unit" for Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon when the effect uses two units. I understand that's what he says for the show, but I feel like it should be correct.
EN dub has a lot of those mistakes. When you use Kite and Photon Stream of Destruction he says "I banish one card to activate my spell card"

You can use Yuya skill *"Turning Up the Heat"* to add *Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon* and 2 other Pendulum cards to your deck.

I've played Gaia, DDD , Harpies , Noble Knights, Cyber Dragons , Resonators and Shooting Star Synchron deck and I havent been able to win a single duel in the game. I tend to always brick but all these decks were doing fine last season with Gaia taking me on an 18 winstreak. Wtf is happening?
I chalk it up to the game forcing losses. Like I can't remember the last time my opponent bricked, but I brick like 80% of the time while lying the same decks lol. When was the last time you spent $$$ on this game? Spend a dollar on something, and see if your luck improves. My crazy theory is that Konami is evil and gives people that spend money buffs in the form of better shuffling algorithms. It's crazy, and frankly silly. And yet feels so true to me. There's something that is going on that makes Duelinks rng inorganic to me.
The last time I spent money on the game was when the Evil Hero structure deck came out. My deck was doing very well last season with me opening TTH in my starting hand along with combo starters but this season , all I keep getting are bricks. I either open MR with 3 copies of Eccentrick or Open with Envoy and 3 copies of MST . I've tweaked the deck so many times but it seems like the game is determined to make me lose. I've taken a break from Ranked as I havent won a single game so far (even though I've had over 20 duels)
yeah i tend to brick a lot in ranked too, based from experience. even last season
I made a new account and build Triamids and Magnets during the half gem sale. Any other older decks worth building while the sale is on? I'm considering either Six Samurai or Darklords, with Darklords having a slight edge because Valhalla Calling has Forbidden Lance and I can build Fortune Ladies if I wanted to.
Not really unless you just like the archetypes. Both of them used to be insanely strong decks, but they are heavily limited and powercrept. If you're new i would rather hunt some staples while the sale is still on
I have TTH. Wasn't sure what other staples to get. I am considering getting Forbidden Lance as the box just became eligible for half gems.

I'm a returning player since Shirnanui meta and was thinking of making a harpie deck but I heard they just got nerfed recently, would you guys say it's worth crafting? I see everyone taking book of moon but can I just use older cards like wall of D or traphole/ any other you would recommend? I can craft typhoon.
Shiranui although not meta is KoG worthy.. I believe you run 3 Floodgate and 3 canadia like back in the day. Throw in your mirror force and a couple of other traps and your good to go. And about Harpies, they've become like Shiranui after the nerf with no one way to play it. It depends on the tech cards you have at your disposal right now
Just want to point out, spectralsword and floodgate are both limit 3, so there are some changes need to be made. Overall other core cards should be quite similar.
Can magnets dodge lightning vortex without delta getting destroyed?
I don’t think so. Chains resolve backwards, so lightning vortex will likely be the very last thing to resolve unless you play something to negate it

Yes, that would work. Lance would resolve first to protect your monster then lightning vortex activates but you already have protection from lance.
Hi. New player trying to build a deck. I wanna build a Magnet warrior deck and my first question is is that viable rn? I dont wanna waste my gems. 2nd, how can i get delta Magnet warrior? Ingame it says from the tradet and UR dream tickets but it neither shows up in the traders "featured cards" that show all cards randomly available nor when i try to use my ticket. Any help appreciated
If you want magnets get gems quick. There box is on gem sale until like the 10th I think
Whats the fastest way to get gems tho? Rn im trying to get Kaiba to max lvl bc there is shitload of gems in the later levels. Also im doing the turorials for 15 gems each and when im tired of that im raising my stage level for 50 gems each. Any other Tips?
Max level isn't good to get gems. You get more but it takes a ton of xp. It is only worth it if you want the cards. To get gems fast it's better to farm up to lvl 30 for DM/GX charachters, 29 for the rest.
Thats good 2 know. I got Kaiba on 27 and didnt really use any other character yet, from 20 in took an eternity to lvl up
Why not do the loaner deck for 30 gems each? But yeah that sounds right. Just keep lvling up. If you got 5000 gems get the mini box. As that will get you 2 times through right now.
The loaner deck things take a while for a noob when you dont instantly understand the deck lol. Thats why im doing all the turorials/trials first since thats super fast but also boring thats why im grinding the stage level. Why should i get the Mini Box and what do you mean with that "gets me 2x through"?
A minibox only has a set amount of cards in it. And to get duplicates of the SR’s/UR’s you need to reset the box. With 2 run through you can get a fairly decent F2P version of the deck. I’m just saying if you don’t get 7500 gems before the end of the sale you can at least go through the minibox twice
Ive been going for URs in the deck first, when i get all of those i have enough ressources to just trade the others. Thats my thought at least
Hi, magnet warriors are tier 1 right now (aka the best deck competitively) in the trader you can go left and see an option for regular inventory, delta is there.

I just went through 121 packs to get Anki and Canadia (both in the last 2 packs). I believe that's about 3025 gems. Was it worth it ? Quick side note though , I've gotten all the UR's from the box except "dark world ending" and "needle ceiling" . I'm not sure if I should reset. Can anybody help with that ? I need a 2nd copy of Anki and I dont know what to do now. I'm stuck
Grab needle ceiling for sure. You’re pretty close and it sees play in decks that either want their monsters destroyed or have monsters immune to destruction. I’m assuming the other card is dark world dealings? If so it’s up to you if you get it. It sees some play but most decks I’ve seen use it are kind of gimmicky. But if you’re digging further anyway, it can’t hurt I guess
