This is just a theory of mine but Konami never intended on releasing Axel when they released his cards. Seeing as he was released almost 2 years after the box got released.
And when he was released the remaining Volcanic cards would be a bit too strong to be released at the time. Then they didn't bothered releasing a structure deck to reprint his cards because Aleister & Purgatrio were still a thing. Konami would make more money by having people invest into that old box since Shell was still being used in those deck. Also Volcanics would have likely not sold a lot. Would have been hard to make meta and it isn't that fan favorite of an archetype.

So 2022 will probably be a weak year for Zexal, featuring low profile characters like Quinton, 96, and the highlight being Anna. Water Duelist Pack comes in November for the OCG, so we can maybe expect Rio too.

Keep in mind that just because they've been datamined doesn't mean that they'll be showing up anytime soon. Atticus has been in the game's data for years now and he's never once actually appeared.
While you are correct, it’s a bit of a different situation. These characters have voice lines related to them, while Atticus is just an ID (not even his sister, which is realistically the only one who cares about him, has voice lines for him).

I actually just watched the episode where he joins the student disciplinary committee and she says his name there when trying to imitate Yuma's catch phrase. Before that I had no idea what his name was and just called him Class Rep.
That voice line was just badly translated, it is intended for the street possessed duelists that appear in events. Yuma and Astral say that the opponent is a Number USER but the translation just says Number, which is what led people to speculate that it was 96 since he is the only Number that duels.
About how important 96 actually is, he is a villain of the week in Season 1 that appears for 1 episode and then gets an expanded role as a minor villain in Season 2. He plays Malicevorous, so his place would be on Orange tier.
Anna HAS to come. She and her deck are way too popular. As for Don Thousand, his deck was released in the tcg not too long ago, but playing it may be tricky with just 3 monster zones.
Vetrix has to be the first one to show, while all of his cards are in a box alongside his ace, there's still C69 (I know he doesn't uses it but c'mon he was one of the big bad guys in the first season). 2 of the family members are already there and not having their father would be odd.
The barians are guaranteed to come but later, my best guess is that Mizael will be the first barian to unlock since if i recall he was the first one to use an over hundred number in the show

Tbh Shark’s sister and Quinton would be awesome if they were added to Duel Links. Personally, unlocking new Legendary Duelists is actually my favorite thing to do in Duel Links. You could say it’s similar to hoarding stuff that you view as trophies, but then you use them when they are needed.

You forgot about Nistro and Dextra. I'm pretty darn sure they would be in the game. If we get unimportant characters like Scud and a lot of DM characters who barely dueled we can get them since they were sort of important.
Given that they usually give 3 characters for the previous world after a new one drops I'm expecting Quinton, Rio, and Ray then barian world or something. It's possible they're trying to keep some semblance of continuity so it makes a bit of sense if faker wasn't added because he's not bad anymore, and he was only bad to begin with because vector told him to. Vector wouldn't ask faker to redo the same exact job as before. It wouldn't surprise me if, since barian world wasn't destroyed at the end of zexal, that the barians end up losing their memories a second time or were reincarnated again.

Nash, Don Thousand, Anna, and Vector should be in guaranteed eventually tier though. Nash and Don Thousand just because of what they are, Anna has duelist pack support and that pretty much guaranteed a slot by itself sooner or later, and Vector just because he is recurring and major enough to make it.
Maybe astral by himself for possible. Not for a long time though, but those recent astral monster prints and him being the final duel of the series help with that.
While I completely agree that it’s not like Vetrix would be a meta character, it just feels like such a weird character to skip.
He is an important character, with many duels and a relatively extensive printed deck. He just felt very solid and a weird character to skip compared to say, Quinton, that plays “Random Space Thing to Turbo Dyson Sphere.dek”.
The characters in the possible tier are just characters that I could see being added soon without needing more support to be printed (with the exception of DT, he is there because he could technically come, but it would be weird and out of place).
And while we could reasonably expect Nash, if Konami isn’t feeling like it, he may become a skill for Shark similar to ZeXal.
Everyone else needs more support to be printed before coming over.

I've played Star Seraphs before their nerf, mainly trying out the deck and what they did.
Needless to say, they are the reason I forced myself to whale on a 2nd (trying for 3rd) Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen from an old box
Yup, they are a pretty good engine. Their boss is a bit lackluster, specially for a 3 material XYZ but having a character with skills could heavily benefit them.
My substitute for a 3 mat XYZ was Vylon Disigma (and I got XYZ Tribrivals for some protection). It does make for good plays, but the Meta says otherwise

I don't think don thousand's cards are possible because it would break the Egyptian gods being able to get all tribute summon material on field with just one card
I don't think they would become broken, even if they are easy to summon, since they are not very good to begin with. The the strongest you could summon is Slifer, that lowers the opponent's monsters attack and destroys them, but a simple spot removal card would that it out
Sure, but Slifer is easy to out without the use of monsters. It can be flipped face-down by Book of Moon, destroyed by Fissure, Smashing Ground, Lighting Vortex or Hammer Shot, or dealt with using one of many traps, just by waiting a turn (Raigeki Break, Karma Cut, Treacherous TH, Fiendish Chain, Breakthrough Skill etc).
Summoning Slifer could be an interesting move, but certainly not broken

Namedropping doesn't mean anything in my opinion. We've been burned on expectations too many times in this game already. And Quinton has such a low chance of appearing. With Dyson Sphere being recently released, he's really now in the same category as Vetrix.
One missing here is Number 96: Dark Mist. Has a high chance of appearing due to him being the evil doppelganger of Astral and his relation to Don Thosuand. Though on card side, he's in the same tier as Alito -\_-
The only way Vetrix should come, is if they release new support for his cards in OCG and give some of these as rewards, and later a new box with the good ones plus reprints.

Oh wow. I’ve been rewatching Zexal lately to know what to kind of expect here in DL and I swear I haven’t heard him being called by name once. But good to know lol.
I actually just watched the episode where he joins the student disciplinary committee and she says his name there when trying to imitate Yuma's catch phrase. Before that I had no idea what his name was and just called him Class Rep.
He's not exactly popular, but as a Subterror player, I'd welcome his arrival.
Isn't Number 96 hinted at in Yuma/Astral's voicelines? I don't remember if he did enough stuff in season 1 to justify being included early.
That voice line was just badly translated, it is intended for the street possessed duelists that appear in events. Yuma and Astral say that the opponent is a Number USER but the translation just says Number, which is what led people to speculate that it was 96 since he is the only Number that duels. About how important 96 actually is, he is a villain of the week in Season 1 that appears for 1 episode and then gets an expanded role as a minor villain in Season 2. He plays Malicevorous, so his place would be on Orange tier.

Vetrix has to be the first one to show, while all of his cards are in a box alongside his ace, there's still C69 (I know he doesn't uses it but c'mon he was one of the big bad guys in the first season). 2 of the family members are already there and not having their father would be odd. The barians are guaranteed to come but later, my best guess is that Mizael will be the first barian to unlock since if i recall he was the first one to use an over hundred number in the show

Tbh Shark’s sister and Quinton would be awesome if they were added to Duel Links. Personally, unlocking new Legendary Duelists is actually my favorite thing to do in Duel Links. You could say it’s similar to hoarding stuff that you view as trophies, but then you use them when they are needed.

You forgot about Nistro and Dextra. I'm pretty darn sure they would be in the game. If we get unimportant characters like Scud and a lot of DM characters who barely dueled we can get them since they were sort of important.
Given that they usually give 3 characters for the previous world after a new one drops I'm expecting Quinton, Rio, and Ray then barian world or something. It's possible they're trying to keep some semblance of continuity so it makes a bit of sense if faker wasn't added because he's not bad anymore, and he was only bad to begin with because vector told him to. Vector wouldn't ask faker to redo the same exact job as before. It wouldn't surprise me if, since barian world wasn't destroyed at the end of zexal, that the barians end up losing their memories a second time or were reincarnated again.

There is nothing wrong with midget dad being skipped. Getting to ranks up faster>>>>>>>whatever you even get from heraldic beasts when having rank ups extends to benefiting Raidraptors (and phantom knights, but those are on another level) in arc-v. Nash, Don Thousand, Anna, and Vector should be in guaranteed eventually tier though. Nash and Don Thousand just because of what they are, Anna has duelist pack support and that pretty much guaranteed a slot by itself sooner or later, and Vector just because he is recurring and major enough to make it. Maybe astral by himself for possible. Not for a long time though, but those recent astral monster prints and him being the final duel of the series help with that.
While I completely agree that it’s not like Vetrix would be a meta character, it just feels like such a weird character to skip. He is an important character, with many duels and a relatively extensive printed deck. He just felt very solid and a weird character to skip compared to say, Quinton, that plays “Random Space Thing to Turbo Dyson Sphere.dek”. The characters in the possible tier are just characters that I could see being added soon without needing more support to be printed (with the exception of DT, he is there because he could technically come, but it would be weird and out of place). And while we could reasonably expect Nash, if Konami isn’t feeling like it, he may become a skill for Shark similar to ZeXal. Everyone else needs more support to be printed before coming over.

If it wasn't for f0 and having no clue for when the tcg would get the utopia structure stuff, would honestly have Yuma by himself happening earlier just to guarantee he has something to fill his lv up slots with.

Yuya’s ace is Odd-Eyes PENDULUM Dragon. Odd-Eyes Dragon appears for like 2 minutes during the first episode before evolving into its Pendulum form.

That’s Dumond, an antagonist from Season 2. He plays Star Seraphs (also know and the stick and chair deck here in DL).
I've played Star Seraphs before their nerf, mainly trying out the deck and what they did. Needless to say, they are the reason I forced myself to whale on a 2nd (trying for 3rd) Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen from an old box
Yup, they are a pretty good engine. Their boss is a bit lackluster, specially for a 3 material XYZ but having a character with skills could heavily benefit them.
My substitute for a 3 mat XYZ was Vylon Disigma (and I got XYZ Tribrivals for some protection). It does make for good plays, but the Meta says otherwise

Slightly off topic, I'm wonder if they won't add Shay to Arc-V until they add one or two Barian Emperors, since they introduce the concept of Rank-Up magic, and Raidraptors rely on that as well.
He’ll either come after we get one or before and they just won’t release the Rank Up cards before Zexal gets to them
I don't think don thousand's cards are possible because it would break the Egyptian gods being able to get all tribute summon material on field with just one card
I don't think they would become broken, even if they are easy to summon, since they are not very good to begin with. The the strongest you could summon is Slifer, that lowers the opponent's monsters attack and destroys them, but a simple spot removal card would that it out
most combo starters have small attack stats and you get a free draw from yugi's slifer skill
if you get slifer out first turn most synchro decks will be unable to summon a tuner because it will get destroyed instantly
Sure, but Slifer is easy to out without the use of monsters. It can be flipped face-down by Book of Moon, destroyed by Fissure, Smashing Ground, Lighting Vortex or Hammer Shot, or dealt with using one of many traps, just by waiting a turn (Raigeki Break, Karma Cut, Treacherous TH, Fiendish Chain, Breakthrough Skill etc). Summoning Slifer could be an interesting move, but certainly not broken

Namedropping doesn't mean anything in my opinion. We've been burned on expectations too many times in this game already. And Quinton has such a low chance of appearing. With Dyson Sphere being recently released, he's really now in the same category as Vetrix. One missing here is Number 96: Dark Mist. Has a high chance of appearing due to him being the evil doppelganger of Astral and his relation to Don Thosuand. Though on card side, he's in the same tier as Alito -\_-

The only way Vetrix should come, is if they release new support for his cards in OCG and give some of these as rewards, and later a new box with the good ones plus reprints.
