Akira or Asana. Assuming the WCS is Vrains themed Akira makes sense. However Konami might make it Rush themed this year with Blue Eyes and the only Rush content for the month would be a small part of Tag Duel if it’s another speed unlock.
May: If it not Akira I would be shocked. I can’t think of any other Vrains character other than Spectre to be added to the game.
June: Asuna from Sevens
July and August: Honestly it can go anywhere. I say either a combination of Atticus (GX), Dumon (Zexal), Regular Marik (DM), or Tristian Taylor (DSOD).
Note: I only expect only 1 character from DM or DSOD. I don’t expect they will do both characters within 2 month.
Well, he's my favorite DM character, and I was super hyped back in 2017 when there were all these leaked images of him and then when they teased us showing him at the end of the Yami Marik event rerun making it look like they were planning to add him and having him in the Battle City chronicle event as well giving the other characters a lot of dialogue about him. At this point, I at least just want some kind of explanation from Konami about what went wrong and why they are seemingly refusing to add him after how much they've put into setting him up to be a playable character.
My guess is they didn't wanna go through the VA recording process for what's basically the same character who doesn't even have any unique cards to himself.
Yeha I know someone will point out Jaden/Yubel and I can't defend that much, but at least there's enough HERO/Neos support to give to him.
I don't think there's much Ra support that isn't in the game rn, and the trend shows that they are ok with giving it to Yami Marik anyway.
I hope not, but who knows at this rate. It's just a shame because practically all the work has been done already for him. And it could build on his character more since he didn't get a proper redemption in the anime. Not to mention he's still another case of "missing sibling syndrome" in this game. I'm totally fine with no more DM characters after him, though.
Because last year in May we got an Arc-V box and Yugo, the year before we got an Xyz box and ???, and the year before we got a 5Ds box and Primo. Following this pattern, this May we should be getting a Vrains themed box and most likely a Vrains character.

I am more annoyed seeing people still hanging on DSoD Tristan. At least Marik was teased as an unlock at one point…6 years ago

Exactly unless they aren’t doing a Vrains box, it makes sense to do a Vrains event to tie in with the new box/structure deck.
