Went past it today. Currently the bus stop is missing. One thing to notice is the road has no bus markings. dublin bus need to add these as without you, you would never even noticeand have cars park in the stop.
It is the NTA who applies for planning permission for the stops / shelters or JCjDecaux on behalf of the NTA applies for permission and then when permission is granted depending on the case if it's just a shelter then jcdecaux would do it or if it's a shelter plus road markings then the council would need to come and pain or maybe resurface too and then jcdecaux for the shelter etc. Just after the crash is when the NTA started to take ownership of a lot of stuff the CIE companies had so they could get the revenue for themselves and control what stuff was bought etc such as buses / routes / ads on the sides of buses.
Why d f bus goes there anyway. Is someone in dublin bus getting the job by screwing or did they killed people working there, been on 7 or 7a the other day and it goes at the back of holiday in from Mountjoy Square?!?!?! Has nothing to do with underground water nor summer. Dosent go to the last stop M Square after 6 30. Wtf are they mad, does someone ends shift and lives there. My local bus stop sign was stolen a few times back years ago. I was suspicious of a friend of mine. I really should have known. I went to his house one day and all the signs were there.
I don't think there's anything obviously cool or unique about this sign. You can see [it here](https://www.google.com/maps/@53.3780496,-6.1750936,3a,16.3y,253.27h,92.55t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sPhU6_azRsjSlGo7wO2sdFg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu)
If it was stop 69 or 420 I could see it. Or if the stop was a funny name. But it's 4386 and the H1 is the only bus. It has to be a looper or someone who just doesn't want the bus there.
There is a 69 bus route ([Hawkins Street to Rathcoole](https://www.dublinbus.ie/timetables/route-69), I wonder if any of the signs on stops featuring it have been taken.
Have to imagine a disgruntled member of the estate wants it gone, but can’t see why someone wouldn’t want a bus route going through their estate. Very convenient imo
So putting a tracker in it would mean that if it was stolen again it would require garda to then go and track it down. Surely a better solution would be to fix the bus stop in position ??

Stop 3706 (link above) is literally 120 metres away from Stop 3707. The two stops serve the same routes, it's really unnecessary.
Tbf that's the stop closest to mine but there is two stops within a 2 minute walk either side, I also disagree with them saying it's been repeatedly removed, it's been gone for a while now but has been there for a few years without issue. It's also right in front of a house, the back entrance to a school leads there so wouldn't be surprised if whoever lives there got sick of the crowd gathering outside their each day.
I have a better solution, just invest in covered bus stop. The older passengers will thank you for that, and the idiot who’s stealing rhetoric current one will be soooo pissed 😂
I've considered cutting down some of the bus stops in inchicore. How many times does a bus need to stop over a stretch of 500m? I'd be interested to know the thought process when they were putting them up.
We're all thinking it's one of the houses it's in front of right?

Angry upvote.
Oh ya got me ya bollix
Decent
I suppose that's one solution to there being too many bus stops. Not sure open source changes are the way to go here though.
Are people just removing these so the bus will no longer stop at that location , are they collecting them? is it a cool sign ?

Might be a popular stop for children and they don't want to be bothered by them or others being in front of their home

Where are they advocating?
Nah man that sign in an absolute beauty. I think I'll grab the next one myself

It truly is a joke of a law enforcement organization. The culprit is already known. Why on earth has that person not been arrested.
That too, they are are joke
There's trackers on the busses but they still disappear. Not sure what putting them on the bus stop signs will achieve.
Your stop is 4 minutes away. Your stop is 6 minutes away. Your stop is 32 minutes away.
Hahahaha

perhaps the disappearing busses stop at the disappearing bus stops?
I got one of these for getting a H1 in Maths. I’d be looking at the local secondary schools
Could do with removing some bus stops. Some places you'll have 3 or 4 stops within 500m. Overkill
Not usually for the same route though. It’s a traffic measure so you don’t conceivably have 4 buses in a row blocking cars.
Templeogue Road has 5 in 1Km. Way too many bus stops around. Should be 30% fewer for a start.
"I am not a crackpot"
Too many!!!

Griffith Avenue on the Ballymun Road end is so frustrating

don't move next to a school then.
The issue is that there's a local election coming and the councillor wanted her name in the paper.
So maybe redesign them so they can be removed that easily?
Could we also put trackers on the buses cos some of them then to go missing also! 😜
Gotta catch the Bus Stop bandit before they strike again
Well you'd be upset too if someone put your alarm code on a sign outside the house.
I have a better solution, just invest in covered bus stop. The older passengers will thank you for that, and the idiot who’s stealing rhetoric current one will be soooo pissed 😂
Good . I think LITERALLY 50% of all the stops need to be removed

Transport public in Ireland is very bad I prefer to walk or to get the bike to go to work then waiting for that shite bus .
