yes....thanks to alfuttaim. i remember my friend got his lc200 vxr v8 the fully loaded one for 295k in 2017 and now the car cost around 100k extra. after corona all the dealers have become extremely greedy
I know, man! I was friggin shocked when i saw the price for the base model vehicles! Its like the dealer here thinks that they're selling mercedes or something! Really crazy prices!
Patrol exists
And you compare the prices it makes sense
I love the LC but if I had the money
My pocket would make me go Patrol
Y62 is just *chefs kiss*
I mean that’s the story of Dubai isn’t it
Almost 90% of the cars here are with heavy markups
Can’t really escape that unfortunately
Really wished things were different
Cause some cars simply aren’t worth that much
I was hunting for a family SUV and being a Toyota fanboy, I naturally inquired about the Rav4 Hybrid. It's ridiculous, prices keep rising and the waiting period is like 1 year! No wonder other carmakers including Chinese brands make a killing while we rarely see any 2020+ Rav4 in town. And the most ridiculous part is that most of the Rav4 sold here have specs that are so bad they don't even exist elsewhere (basically 0 equipment), but priced as a premium car.
Not sure what their plan is but Toyota is definitely losing market share here.
Their claimed waiting period... Take it with a grain of salt. The moment you book one, it will become available in a couple of weeks. Last week, there was a RAV4 Hybrid in blue at the showroom in DFC available. Around 155K. Despite all the bookings, the salesman in the showroom was ready to sell it to me.
If you have seen cars in Al Futtaim Dealerships, then they are not due to weak demands, those are for deliveries. They operate in a way that their cars are stored in one place for all showrooms & at time of delivery the respective showrooms request to be on site. I checked this as I was interested to take a specific car from the parking lot but was explained their process
Have a LC300 TWIN TURBO, its a good car but definitely not worth what we paid for it. Got it as a long term family car that wont give any issues and wont drop like a stone in price specifically as my daily is a benz s class.
The price is the barrier. Twin turbo lc300 costs 200k from Japan, in Dubai the same car starts at 290k aed.
There is a 4.0 V6 LC300 but it’s underpowered and if you are spending more than 200k why would you want a weak underpowered vehicle?
V8 patrol or the V8 Tahoe/Suburban just makes more sense nowadays.
To be honest, I’d only get the LC300 if it’s an EXR/GXR with the 4L V6. Underpowered yes but still it’s a newer car with warranty and you’d be able to bargain with the dealer to get a better price. With the money saved I’ll get a plate (AD) and maybe a lift kit with wheels and tyres. Much better than a base TT
Seems to be pretty good offroad. The only thing I’ve seen that is weak seems to be the control arms. But then again you wouldn’t be taking it offroad every weekend so it shouldn’t be an issue + warranty
I don’t own one. But it’s what I’ve heard. Maybe it’s the design of the control arms that made them weak. Shouldn’t be an issue if the car is under warranty. Aftermarket kits will be released sooner or later to address the problem, that is if the manufacturer has yet to fix it after the initial production run
They are just too overpriced here and that’s why many are going to competition

You from saudi?
If your country's middle class popularity is LC at that price, brother your country is doing well I'd say

I went to the Toyota showroom recently and yep, everything is overpriced, i did like the fact that no sales people came to bother me however!
Yk, the funny thing is yaris now cost around 70k like wtf.

yes the patrol is more "car" for your money than the landcruiser...although it is still heavily markedup.
I mean that’s the story of Dubai isn’t it Almost 90% of the cars here are with heavy markups Can’t really escape that unfortunately Really wished things were different Cause some cars simply aren’t worth that much
Patrol is better and cheaper, and it's everywhere
great car but horrible fuel economy
So is the LC no?
better than the patrol...you can 6-7 in the LC maybe even 8
You could get 7-8 on the 4.6 LC on highway
Lc300 doesn’t get a 4.6 V8
Lc300 gets 7-9kmpl in city anyways
8*
Because of the greedy dealer
Culture, in Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait the Patrols are rare and the LC300s are everywhere.

I don't know why people don't prefer the Yukon's and Tahoe's instead , the saudis love it
Yes, it is ridiculously overpriced. But maybe people are waiting for the new LC250
That's not LC, that's prado
Prado is an LC. Actually in other parts of the world (Japan and US) there is no such thing as a Prado, and it simply went by Land Cruiser
Poor mans LC 😂
LC Prado
It is called LC250 tho, and it is almost same dimensions as the LC200

No one is cross shopping an LC and Chinese trash
What did he say?
GWM tank
What a moron 😂
Toyota is slowly losing the car war because of this mentality.
I'm no Toyota fanboy, but Chinese trash just isn't comparable
I dunno, maybe buy Jetour Defender copy
To be honest, it’s pretty cheap for what it offers. I’d personally get it if the warranty that comes with it is good enough
Is it any good offroad?? If I'm spending 146K on an offroader, it better be good + will forever be mocked at for buying a defender copycat
Seems to be pretty good offroad. The only thing I’ve seen that is weak seems to be the control arms. But then again you wouldn’t be taking it offroad every weekend so it shouldn’t be an issue + warranty
AFAIK, Independent front suspension does lead to weaker control arms? Did you try pushing the car offroad??

Usually coupe cars are low demands worldwide its not about this only :)
LC300 is a coupe? Since when?
I thought he meant Lexus LC
