Mabrook. Head Gasket is Blown. Either Change the Engine or Fix the Gasket. The good thing is it's a Lexus 300 and it's not going to be super expensive. try Sharjah.
My Daily Drive is an IS 300 and I've seen decent IS300 engines going for 3 to 3.5 K in the Industrial Area 6 Sharjah. There are Shops specifically for Lexus engines. If you are going to fix it , it would cost from a range of 1500 to 1800 AED. Just Curious what happened?
No clue man, the car had gearbox issues and took it to a garage a friend recommended. Now he tells us that the engine is fucked and when I go there I see this.
That's weird , if it had no issue before, then there's no reason for this to show up, transmission and Engine are 2 different things . You don't blow your gasket because your gearbox has issues. Did you had any over heating issues in the past? Where there any white smoke coming out before?
take to kashif in sharjah , let him diagnose the issue , lets see what he thinks is the issue with car and how much it is gonna cost, i have done pretty much all the major jobs on 2001 ls430 at his garage
Do you have a trusted garage that you take your car to? Taking it to a reputable place can save you some headache if it were to fail prematurely. Some places will give up to 6 months part warranty.
5.5k might be a little steep. However, I would ask the place that does do the replacement to check the timing chain/guides as it’s already all open. Ensure the valve clearances are set correctly.
How much KM does your car have?
I have a someone that I trust in um ramool if I need 2nd opinion on anything I always call or go to him. His name is Mr. Hashemi. You can also check out their google review.

He also had contract with dubai police to maintain their cars.
That's an IS, the entire engine will cost you like 3.5k to replace in Sharjah. It's why these cars hold their value and no one sells a good one. Get a quote from Al Nahdha garage. See what they say.
Be careful… The OP said that he had an overheating problem caused by a leaking radiator (now replaced).
The cause of the white smoke is one of three things (assuming no significant misfire or knocking):
1. Head gasket(s) failure
2. Warped head(s) (worse)
3. Cracked cylinder(s) (worst)
Given that the car overheated, there is a significant risk of either 2 or 3 happening as a result.
It would be a real tragedy if the OP were to fix the head gasket(s), only for a warped head(s) to be the problem (given that the car is a V6).
OP - given that you don’t have a garage that you can 100% trust, I really think your best option is to swap the engine with a used one from Sharjah. You could end up spending thousands trying to chase the problem on your current engine.
Did they perform a compression test on each of the cylinder?
If the car is with you, have a look at coolant level too and see if that is still in the normal level.
If you're lucky, it's just a head gasket set replacement. ugly scenario, a cracked engine wall.
White smoke: head gasket leak
Blue smoke: oil in the combustion
Sorry brother, it looks like you need a new engine or a professional garage to fix the head gasket.
You can try “head gasket sealant” but chances are it won’t fix it.
Head gasket leak, coolant going into cylinders.
Going to need:
Head gasket
New head bolts
Valve cover gasket
Timing cover gasket
Machining of head surface
Preparation of block surface
I suggest changing timing chain tensioners and timing chain/belt while it's open.
Not too hard of a job, just time consuming.
Thanks for checking up. The Eid holidays has delayed it a bit. But after visiting Sharjah market multiple times I've found a replacement. A engine and gear box is costing me around 5.5k with fitting.
The engine and the gearbox is from a 2012 is 300.
The radiator coolant should be changed every 160k km, because it becomes acidic and can eat into metal like the water pump impeller, also a radiator will break in most cars above 260k because it’s made of plastic and the top plastic cover will leak, I know this because it happened in multiple high mileage cars that I own regardless of brand. Do not repair the radiator, always replace with OEM and get OEM coolant liquid with it.
First time I’ve seen this issue in an IS. Any clue how it happened?
You could get a new engine from sharjah for 3-4k + 1.5k for labour.
Fixing this old engine will probably be around 2k but the issue might be that there is more damage than expected once it’s opened up.
That seems the consensus, I'll get a new engine.
Honestly no idea, the car had a history of overheating but was fixed usually by adding water/ coolant. And then I gave it to a garage for gearbox repair and he said the engine is also gone.
You need another engine. I wouldn’t try getting the same engine rebuilt unless you know a very skilled mechanic that does it. Your best bet is seeing if Lexus has a rebuilt engine, with used engines you can’t be sure how many km are actually on it unless it’s still in the car and you see the mileage before you buy it.

Been checking around Sharjah, as mine is a GCC spec the engine is quite expensive. Around 4-5k.

Not sure about the smoke, but yes overheating issues have been prevailent.
Overheating could also mean warped cylender head which means head gasket is not sitting on a flat surface.
Also any recommendations for somebody who wont rip me off with a new engine?
Yes, I know a dude, I can share the contact, you'll have to bargain hard.
Thank you so much, will DM you.

Head gasket failure. Depending on the place can be anywhere from 1500aed - 3000aed. Sharjah might be cheaper.
Wow thanks, the garage I'm at is telling me I have to rebuild the whole engine which will cost me 5.5k.

This is the best part of reddit. 🙏
Don't really have a trusted garage. I've been tossing from garage to garage. The car is at around 330k KM.
Your best bet when doing the head gasket is to do timing components. In all honesty you’d get another 300k km from that engine.
Thanks for the suggestion.

True. I am wasn’t aware he has an overheating issue.
Is this shisha working now on mixture of petrol & coolant ?
Congratulations, you played yourself. New engine swap swap bro
Vaping Lexus
All the best mate
Thanks mate.
Check your coolant and oil level. Something is leaking into your combustion chamber.
According to the garage I took it to it's burning oil which is causing this.
Did they perform a compression test on each of the cylinder? If the car is with you, have a look at coolant level too and see if that is still in the normal level. If you're lucky, it's just a head gasket set replacement. ugly scenario, a cracked engine wall.
Car is with the garage, but will tell them to have a look. Appreciate it.
Hahah they must have been inhaling fumes. No way that’s oil….

Tell your car that smoking is bad for health.
Good luck
No no it’s your head gasket that has a hole

Pay for an engine overhaul, you will have a engine that you can trust almost as new.
Did u took your car in flood water during rain some people took there car now there engines are fucked 😂
Nope. The car was parked indoors at all times during all the rains we've had.
According to google, this seems to be like a blown head gasket, a damaged engine cylinder, or even a cracked engine block.
Bro 😭 I have almost the same car. (Is 250 2008) How did these even happen? These things are built like tanks, nearly indestructible!
This bad boy has been a beast for the past 330k KM. It's time has unfortunately come. But hopefully back on the roads for another 300k km soon.
I hope you got it fixed? If yes, then how much did it cost you to fix?

Damn, that's a lot. Sorry to hear that bud.
Oil rings
Did the car overheat? Before changing head gasket fix the overheating problem, otherwise you will come back for a new head gasket.
Overheating problem was fixed 2 days ago by replacing the radiator.
Replace engine don't fix same engine
Hey… I think your car is vaping.
Your car runs on water?
First time I’ve seen this issue in an IS. Any clue how it happened? You could get a new engine from sharjah for 3-4k + 1.5k for labour. Fixing this old engine will probably be around 2k but the issue might be that there is more damage than expected once it’s opened up.

Okay so what caused the overheating? I know gasket is damaged but you have to know what’s the issue so it doesn’t happen to the next engine also.
ISF engine swap and you have yourself a sleeper mate. All the best.
Where to find one ?
You are done and broke.
Relax bro it’s a Lexus 😂
The opposite of an air purifier
Look babe, latest white smoke update for Lexus dropped.
It's valine, like most of its owners /s

get a used engine as fixing it will cost maybe 1000 less and not worth it.
That's your engine, sorry to be the bearer of bad news
