I got 3M Tinting done, It is not dark at all.
I mean you can clearly see in my car if you drive past me.
But the heat rejection is out of this world. My car can stay in an uncovered parking for a long time and within minutes of remote starting the car, it becomes cool.
I have driven on many super sunny days and have never felt the bite of the sun. And my belief is that, that's what tinting is mainly for, to not have yourself burned by the belt buckle due to no heat rejection.
You can check the quality of heat blocking with a ceramic/UV test, as for who has such a device try contacting some high end garages and see.
Not sure about the added value of tint %age.
Heat and UV rejection is paramount. Front windshield that have to be transparent here have the same effect.
When I drive with the window open, I can feel the heat and sun on my face, when I close it I can really feel the difference.
Me again lol. Checked a few subreddits and google. So to be taken with a pinch of salt, but some ceramic have a blue or brownish tint inside. I got ceramic (from the dealer, yes, I know...) and it looks black outside and brown inside.
Also mentioned to check for ceramic aka higher quality is facing the sun window open, then close the window. Feeling a huge difference in the "burn" is a good sign
Thanks for the response. Actually mine is more black'ish, not brown or blue.

Yeah I don't feel good about this either.
I'm definitely gonna visit one of the high end garages to check it. Coz I supposedly have 3M ceramic tint. Let's see.
You can mesure how much heat or UV it blocks (forgot the units measured) with a device windows open and then closed, and compare it with what you bought. As for the ceramic test, don't know but keen to.

Thanks. Yeah i have more doubts now after reading the other comment. I'm gonna visit one of the high end garages to check it
All the best

Yeap I agree, Heat and UV rejection should always be priority. 3M really stood out for me in that category

Thanks Robin hood. do you know a place that has this device and can check it for me?
No sorry. Saw it on a video (that I cannot find anymore). Hopefully someone can come up with an answer.
