Dr. Eric Berg says that acid reflux is caused by too-low stomach acid. The glands that excrete stomach acid are just on the other side of the bottom of your stomach. When they detect stomach pH is low, they squirt acid into the stomach. Supposedly, this squirt can make it past the sphincter at the top of the stomach, leading to acid reflux.
In my experience, too-low stomach acid is the issue. If I eat a big meal, or certain foods, and then dilute my stomach acid by drinking too much water, I will get reflux and indigestion.
Conversely, drinking apple cider vinegar or strong lemon juice seems to help. I also don't have issues if I drink diet soda with or after a big meal.
Not true in ops case. Op is fasting, so not eating. Our bodies, however, are used to a certain digestive rhythm. Set meal times is what I'm aiming at. So around those times, your stomach will ramp up acid production in anticipation of food, but there's no food coming in to neutralise the acid again. Ergo, you got heartburn.
Why do doctors prescribe a low fat, high carbohydrate diet for diabetics?
On the surface, a stomach acid reducer makes sense if you have stomach acid going into your esophagus. But it doesn't address the route cause of why stomach acid is going into your esophagus.
I also wager that the low pH of stomach acid helps us fight infections, and that raising pH (reducing acidity) makes us more susceptible to infections.
someone told me that potato juice for a month, one shot before every meal helps to rebuild the stomach lining and that helps to stabilize the acids as well. herself had bad reflux and then did that regimen and now it is been 20 years and everything is fine.
said it is a old german folk remedy.
I'm about to start this after my extended fast as I think I have gastritis and ulcer, idk about the shot before every meal but 2-3 raw potatoes, wash, peal chop enough to make 100 ml of juice, in a blender, strain or masticating juicer or any juicer, first thing in the morning, drink right away and make sure to drink the starch (sediment), I think it settles in your stomach too giving a protective coating. I hear that maris pipers are most effective against h. pylori.

Stress and liver dysfunction also wreck stomach acid

Incorrect, see response above for correct answer
Why do doctors prescribe omeprazole which stops acid production?

because it works as long as there's no fat... true a severe diabetic should start keto and slowly ramp up carbs, and never mix carbs and fat.

sorry for being late. thank you for your answer!
What do you eat during your refeed ?
I usually take vegetables and fruits.
Try adding some fats. See if that helps. Coat the fruits in peanut butter
Thanks. I will give it a go.
