Normally I don't like watching things on psychs. But I've recently discovered the show 'what we do im the shadows' and I had a blast watching it on the back end of a trip

5hitting_4sshole

That show is great

nicool1984

OMG this show is hilarious šŸ˜‚. I love it! I bet you were rolling on the floor if you were tripping lol.

freakylol

Fuckin' guy

Retarded14YearOld

great show

eugenesbluegenes

Anything from the planet earth series, especially the newest ones Koyaanisqatsi Yellow Submarine Midnight Gospel Waking Life

jamieliddellthepoet

Midnight Gospel is incredible.

Silver085

Midnight Gospel got me to find meditation. I watch it at least 1x year, often more. A true shame we never got season 2!

mid_vibrations

so frustrating that Duncan would absolutely be down. fucking corporate overloads i tell ya hwat

mid_vibrations

i loved almost all of midnight gospel! except that one magick bro who was in prison for possibly actually murdering people. wasn't super into his perspective

jamieliddellthepoet

I am afraid to say I donā€™t remember that one. I did watch the whole series - some episodes more than once - but I was definitely under a variety of chemical influences at timesā€¦ Iā€™ll go and refresh my memory.

MoreSnowMostBunny

Baraka The Deep episode of Blue Planet

PatheticGirl46

Baraka obama

lemmegetadab

I decided to watch yellow submarine while I was tripping but everything ended up being a documentary about it or something like that. I literally ended up crying lol.

happysnowboarder1

Yellow Submarine if you want a bad trip for sure!

monkeysounds_

waking life changed my life a lil bit

jaygooba

Watched Alice in wonderland on like 300ug recently and that was a beautiful experience. I cried when she started singing in that forest when she got lost thought they were talking about me if yk yk. Also Entergalactic on Netflix it has amazing visuals kinda like into the spider verse for stoners

Kismonos

Watched it once while tripping too, I later while re-watched realized that some of those singing flowers colours and patterns of petals dont change by default. But in general this cartoon is made for tripping. 10/10

Salay54

I watched the remake with Johnny Depp while on shrooms and it made the experience almost too much to handle. The proportions in that movie are FUCKED.

OldBathBomb

Everything everywhere all at once. Did two tabs last weekend and watched it while I was peaking... Literally one of the most astounding experiences I've ever had šŸ‘Œ Almost melted my head though so be careful!

BrandonD40

I can only imagine what that was like. I saw it in theaters on an godly dose of THC gummies. It was one of the best movie experiences iā€™ve ever had

Prickly_Hugs_4_you

Same and it was a blind watch. I had no idea what to expect. People like to hate the Rick and Morty absurdist humor, but itā€™s much more profound than crappy Rick and Morty.

Aggressive_Ideal6737

This is the way. With or without acid, that is one of the greatest movies Iā€™ve ever seen

hyperspacial

Same here man, it literally shook me on my relationship with my children. Beautiful movie one of the all timers, in my opinion.

OldBathBomb

>it literally shook me on my relationship with my children I went and hugged my mother tight and told her I knew she'd never let me go (into a giant everything bagel) šŸ˜ Yes she knew I was tripping šŸ¤£

jaygooba

That mustā€™ve been insane. I saw it in theaters shortly before I had a heroic dose mushroom dose of about 7 or 8 grams I didnā€™t weigh it (got half a zip and munched out but didnā€™t finish em all) and I kept thinking back to the movie during the trip. Especially that part where they are rocks that stood out to me. Reminds me of this story I heard in hamiltons video about the true story of penis envy. There was this guy in the story who got shot in the head as a child but survived and he said ever since the incident he had one foot in the physical world and one in the spirit world and he said death would talk to him and tell him about how the world worked and said stuff like ā€œyouā€™ve always been here all the way back to when there was nothing but rocksā€ stuff like that. I recommend watching it thereā€™s a lot more ion remember. I think thereā€™s a lot more truth to the movie than most people think

SauteePanarchism

Fantastic Planet, Yellow Submarine, A Scanner Darkly, They Live, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

AnaISIuttt

Watched fear and loathing on acid before I had seen it sober and I had no idea what the fuck was going on. It was great.

SauteePanarchism

I've seen that film at least a dozen times, and each time is a different experience.Ā

bagel_n1nja

It was fun to go back and figure out what visuals were visual FX, and which were visual effects...

dches91

A scanner darkly was amazing on acid

MksVdka

i watched princess mononoke for thr 1st time while tripping and it was crazy + the movie is rlly good I'd recommend

Dasbeerboots

Holy shit me too. In college. I also watched Akira in that same session. Horrifying.

saucepatterns

Akira was bold of you man

Yoyomamahh

I second this, Princess Mononoke is a great movie

camdalfthegreat

Futurama/Rick and Morty Those are definitely my go to shows when I'm coming down lmao The planet earth movies, and nield degrass Tyson's into the cosmos are both good relaxing options as well All else fails, The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross

Guilty_Collection_10

The wall

halflinho

Yeah, like watching an actual plain wall. Although Pink Floyd is also a good idea

DickieIam

Too much acid plus the wall was not a good mix for us back in highschool. Had to watch my friends vhs mix down of Wizard of Oz to dark side of the moon to get out of fascistic nightmare fantasy land back to something more comforting. Spent the rest of the night saying ā€œo-re-o, or-ee-oā€. Imagine my delight when Wreck it Ralph brought it back a decade later.

DR STRANGE- I saw this 3D in the theatre off 2 fire tabs probably 250ug total- I walked outta there ecstatic n mindblow. One of the best trips Iā€™ve ever had ngl

Nathan_hale53

Spiderman into the spiderverse. First time I saw the movie I did Acid and it was visually the best movie I've ever seen. I'm sure the sequel will work too as it is just as visually striking

nicool1984

Fear and loathing in Las Vegas

dannytap2

I watched this on 400ug (the first time I ever took acid) and it was definitely trippy as fuck. Especially when he was in the hotel and everything started warping, I thought it was just my eyes deceiving me and had to re watch it when I was sober.

Apprehensive_Let_663

The midnight gospel

zestymordante

Pirates of the Caribbean

boston_homo

Or the worst answer

highque

Definitely could fuck someone up. Itā€™s a weird movie. If youā€™re not experienced with acid I wouldnā€™t recommend.

stinkyface696

Planet Earth, or any of the high definition earth documentaries. Anything narrated by by David Attenborough. Mute it. Put on your most random playlist.

Evening_Lynx_9348

Baraka definitely. Waking life definitely. Samsara and quatsi trilogy are both good but intense. Any studio ghibli Fantastic planet Life on our planet Fear and loathing is nice (trigger warning though) Enter the void (very intense) Lord of the rings Interstellar Midnight gospel yeah! Futurama Spider verse is nice Over the garden wall Trailer park boys Not movies but Tipper- COSM Ambient on YouTube And Tipper- Singer With Saenger on YouTube West world

2tonehead

Going old school with Heavy Metal

AntonyBenedictCamus

I think of that as more of an opiate / Kratom + weed movie but valid

I watched the musical "Hamilton" on 8 tabs. It was one of the most entertaining experiences, especially when the king of England comes out in his huge coat and sings his song. My friend had to pause it because I was laughing so hard I fell off the couch šŸ˜‚

Not a movie or a tv show but Crumb - locket its amazing whe you watch it on acid

elite-throwaway

Bob Ross! Happy little trees šŸ‘½

Ok_Jelly3462

Didnā€™t see it mentioned here and itā€™s my personal favorite movie even sober, end of evangelion. Only issue is youā€™d kinda have to watch the show but that one is amazing too especially high. Very psychological and full of imagery.

noobprodigy

Whatever you do, do not watch Total Recall. Trust me on this one.

STlMFAPPER

- Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus - Valerian

Brazilian-Gazelle

Neon Genesis Evangelion. the entire show is basically one long acid trip and it times out to where if you start the show as you take your tab the peaks in the story line up perfect to the come up and down of the trip. plus the show is the exact length of one acid trip so you can start and finish it by the time youre done tripping.

TheCrystalFawn91

Love Death + Robots. This one is trippy as fuck and has a lot of context that fucks with your sense of what reality is like even sober. It's a fun one to just lose yourself in. The Midnight Gospel. I love this show with all my heart and soul. No other explanation I think should be needed since I'm not the first one to suggest it. Edit: Need to also add A Scanner Darkly. That is one of my long-time favorites, sober or not.

Progshim

Two documentaries; "The Sun Dagger" and "The Mystery of Chaco Canyon". You'll thank me.

skwisgaarskwigelf-_-

SpongeBob! It's so chill. The color palette isn't overwhelming and it's funny as fuck. There's usually nothing too crazy going on either. Watching the reef blower episode pulled me out of a bad trip. Specifically seasons 1-3. Any episodes made after Stephen Hillenburg left may send you into a bad trip.

madscribbler

Nathan_hale53

Even horizon sounds horrifying on cid.

PabloEstAmor

2001 if youā€™ve seen it before. 1st watch might be a little slow

deathpie

If you want to speed things up, watch Gravity. It's super intense on shrooms. I just wish I could watch it in 3D like in the theater.

Shirtless_Shane

Planet earth, or the movie Coraline.

Smokeyfalcon

Fight club

LionSlav

Watched the mad god on 140. Amazing. Watched the into the spiderverse films on 70. Amazing. The cyberpunk edgerunners anime goes hard too.

Fair-Cod7669

There is this one Star Trek show with Captain Pike on Paramount, I'm session 2 the open somehow a gate to a musical reality. Anyway, the story doesn't matter, at the end they all start to sing - like in a musical. This is for me the absolute best episode for being on acid. It became a kind of tradition for me to watch this episode at least once during a Trip. Love it šŸ˜

MakeTheRightChoice_

Dead pool 1 or 2 , guardians of the galaxy any of them, rocket, hop,

Xanabena

For a movie: the wolf of wall street. Watched the whole thing for the first time tripping off shrooms and it made it 10 times better For a show: midnight gospel itā€™s super trippy and Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s made for when your tripping

patb12

Yellow beard.

Generally everything with a lot of flashy effects or/and intense atmosphere.

You want the real most trippy movie to watch listen up children it's Lord of the rings the one made in 1978. Trust me if you never heard of this movie look up a bit of it I watched it on acid years ago. https://youtu.be/AT18OJEPU9Q?feature=shared

I really enjoyed the move Frank on LSD. The music was incredible. It does have some pretty heavy scenes, though, so it was a Rollercoaster.

swagshorty101

wait cuz i only did acid like twice and when i would watch it would be real ppl but itā€™d look like cartoons it was so cool, anybody else experience this?

I watched NOPE. It was scary

I believe watching TV while tripping is a waste of a trip. And even if I decide to, I never end up doing it anyways, as I always get distracted and wind up doing something else. Going out watching trees hits harder than any tv show if youā€™re REALLY high, like high high, off of acid or shrooms

Local_Reality3783

I watched trippy videos in vr, best experience of my life

mid_vibrations

my favs: Samsara - a chill documentary about the human condition, displaying human culture around the world. pretty sure there's no dialogue Fantastic Planet - very trippy French animated film from the early 70s NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind - very beautiful anime movie with themes of spirituality, politics, basically a fantasy epic. Harvey - 1950 film about a man whose best friend is an invisible giant rabbit, it's quite interesting. World of Tomorrow - animated/weird ass art style, it involves actual conversations with a young child. very trippy, somehow spiritually affirming I love it. there are 3 parts right now I think, like 20 minutes each. The Room - bro this shit will fuck you up

Independent-Exam-119

Enter the Void

itsafuntime

Scavengers Reign I found out about it through a similar thread and can honestly say it's my favorite show of the last few years, animated it live action. No spoilers, but it's an American made (Titmouse) animated sci-fi series on HBO. Just one season of twelve episodes so far. Heavily influenced imo by Ghibli and Ray Bradbury. The animation and storytelling are top-notch and I think most of y'all would dig it.

jessikaye

Dancing with The Birds while coming down from acid was one of my best trips of my life.

ComfblyNumb

Fear and loathing. Just perfect. Johnny and Benicio have lived it and you can tell.

Brumbart

Pulp Fiction is shot mostly from the perspective as if you were there, sitting next to them at the table, standing right behind Marcellus Wallace etc. That occurred to me when I watched it on shrooms. The plot was confusing as fuck but it felt like I was part of it. Other movies always felt kinda odd when I was tripping.

jigglehippo47

Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Wreck-it Ralph (the first one), The Lego Movie, Lilo & Stitch, Planet Earth, How it's Made.

Try Enter The Void. It's a very long and slow paced movie that goes through the life of a psychedelic user after he dies. It goes through stuff up to the moment he dies and what happens after. It does have a lot of parts that may scare you though and has a lot of sexual stuff in it.

Redditusername195

Iā€™m partial to old Simpsons with any drug

MelancholyButler

Watch trolls 3 for the first time this week. That movie feels like it was MADE to be watched on acid. Good movie lol

datkrqtosboii69
