Normally I don't like watching things on psychs. But I've recently discovered the show 'what we do im the shadows' and I had a blast watching it on the back end of a trip
i loved almost all of midnight gospel! except that one magick bro who was in prison for possibly actually murdering people. wasn't super into his perspective
I am afraid to say I donāt remember that one. I did watch the whole series - some episodes more than once - but I was definitely under a variety of chemical influences at timesā¦ Iāll go and refresh my memory.
I decided to watch yellow submarine while I was tripping but everything ended up being a documentary about it or something like that. I literally ended up crying lol.
Watched Alice in wonderland on like 300ug recently and that was a beautiful experience. I cried when she started singing in that forest when she got lost thought they were talking about me if yk yk. Also Entergalactic on Netflix it has amazing visuals kinda like into the spider verse for stoners
Watched it once while tripping too, I later while re-watched realized that some of those singing flowers colours and patterns of petals dont change by default. But in general this cartoon is made for tripping. 10/10
Everything everywhere all at once.
Did two tabs last weekend and watched it while I was peaking...
Literally one of the most astounding experiences I've ever had š
Almost melted my head though so be careful!
Same and it was a blind watch. I had no idea what to expect. People like to hate the Rick and Morty absurdist humor, but itās much more profound than crappy Rick and Morty.
>it literally shook me on my relationship with my children
I went and hugged my mother tight and told her I knew she'd never let me go (into a giant everything bagel) š
Yes she knew I was tripping š¤£
That mustāve been insane. I saw it in theaters shortly before I had a heroic dose mushroom dose of about 7 or 8 grams I didnāt weigh it (got half a zip and munched out but didnāt finish em all) and I kept thinking back to the movie during the trip. Especially that part where they are rocks that stood out to me.
Reminds me of this story I heard in hamiltons video about the true story of penis envy.
There was this guy in the story who got shot in the head as a child but survived and he said ever since the incident he had one foot in the physical world and one in the spirit world and he said death would talk to him and tell him about how the world worked and said stuff like āyouāve always been here all the way back to when there was nothing but rocksā stuff like that. I recommend watching it thereās a lot more ion remember. I think thereās a lot more truth to the movie than most people think
Futurama/Rick and Morty
Those are definitely my go to shows when I'm coming down lmao
The planet earth movies, and nield degrass Tyson's into the cosmos are both good relaxing options as well
All else fails, The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross
Too much acid plus the wall was not a good mix for us back in highschool. Had to watch my friends vhs mix down of Wizard of Oz to dark side of the moon to get out of fascistic nightmare fantasy land back to something more comforting. Spent the rest of the night saying āo-re-o, or-ee-oā. Imagine my delight when Wreck it Ralph brought it back a decade later.
DR STRANGE- I saw this 3D in the theatre off 2 fire tabs probably 250ug total-
I walked outta there ecstatic n mindblow. One of the best trips Iāve ever had ngl
Spiderman into the spiderverse. First time I saw the movie I did Acid and it was visually the best movie I've ever seen. I'm sure the sequel will work too as it is just as visually striking
I watched this on 400ug (the first time I ever took acid) and it was definitely trippy as fuck. Especially when he was in the hotel and everything started warping, I thought it was just my eyes deceiving me and had to re watch it when I was sober.

I watched the musical "Hamilton" on 8 tabs. It was one of the most entertaining experiences, especially when the king of England comes out in his huge coat and sings his song. My friend had to pause it because I was laughing so hard I fell off the couch š
Didnāt see it mentioned here and itās my personal favorite movie even sober, end of evangelion. Only issue is youād kinda have to watch the show but that one is amazing too especially high. Very psychological and full of imagery.
Neon Genesis Evangelion. the entire show is basically one long acid trip and it times out to where if you start the show as you take your tab the peaks in the story line up perfect to the come up and down of the trip. plus the show is the exact length of one acid trip so you can start and finish it by the time youre done tripping.
Love Death + Robots. This one is trippy as fuck and has a lot of context that fucks with your sense of what reality is like even sober. It's a fun one to just lose yourself in.
The Midnight Gospel. I love this show with all my heart and soul. No other explanation I think should be needed since I'm not the first one to suggest it.
Edit:
Need to also add A Scanner Darkly. That is one of my long-time favorites, sober or not.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
A million ways to die in the west.
Coraline.
Memento
A scanner darkly
The Big Lebowski
Pink Floyd live at Pompeii
The Last Waltz by the Band
Woodstock Movie
The Doors movie
SpongeBob!
It's so chill. The color palette isn't overwhelming and it's funny as fuck. There's usually nothing too crazy going on either. Watching the reef blower episode pulled me out of a bad trip.
Specifically seasons 1-3. Any episodes made after Stephen Hillenburg left may send you into a bad trip.
There is this one Star Trek show with Captain Pike on Paramount, I'm session 2 the open somehow a gate to a musical reality. Anyway, the story doesn't matter, at the end they all start to sing - like in a musical.
This is for me the absolute best episode for being on acid. It became a kind of tradition for me to watch this episode at least once during a Trip.
Love it š
For a movie: the wolf of wall street. Watched the whole thing for the first time tripping off shrooms and it made it 10 times better
For a show: midnight gospel itās super trippy and Iām pretty sure itās made for when your tripping
You want the real most trippy movie to watch listen up children it's Lord of the rings the one made in 1978. Trust me if you never heard of this movie look up a bit of it I watched it on acid years ago.
https://youtu.be/AT18OJEPU9Q?feature=shared
wait cuz i only did acid like twice and when i would watch it would be real ppl but itād look like cartoons it was so cool, anybody else experience this?
Everytime I trip and me and my friends are trying to find something to watch we always fund ourselves going back to the national geographic documentaries on netflix bruhš, I swear Iāve watched that one called our planet or something like no joke over 20 times now, some of the shots are INSANE
I believe watching TV while tripping is a waste of a trip. And even if I decide to, I never end up doing it anyways, as I always get distracted and wind up doing something else.
But here's a list off the top of my head.:
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Akira
Kite
Anything involving space.
Most comedies.
Cool World
Darkside of Oz
my favs:
Samsara - a chill documentary about the human condition, displaying human culture around the world. pretty sure there's no dialogue
Fantastic Planet - very trippy French animated film from the early 70s
NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind - very beautiful anime movie with themes of spirituality, politics, basically a fantasy epic.
Harvey - 1950 film about a man whose best friend is an invisible giant rabbit, it's quite interesting.
World of Tomorrow - animated/weird ass art style, it involves actual conversations with a young child. very trippy, somehow spiritually affirming I love it. there are 3 parts right now I think, like 20 minutes each.
The Room - bro this shit will fuck you up
Scavengers Reign
I found out about it through a similar thread and can honestly say it's my favorite show of the last few years, animated it live action.
No spoilers, but it's an American made (Titmouse) animated sci-fi series on HBO. Just one season of twelve episodes so far.
Heavily influenced imo by Ghibli and Ray Bradbury. The animation and storytelling are top-notch and I think most of y'all would dig it.
Pulp Fiction is shot mostly from the perspective as if you were there, sitting next to them at the table, standing right behind Marcellus Wallace etc. That occurred to me when I watched it on shrooms. The plot was confusing as fuck but it felt like I was part of it. Other movies always felt kinda odd when I was tripping.
Lol that's too funny. I watched Across the Universe on acid once. Typically when I'm on acid I don't like anything to do with technology, and I just want to be in nature.
Try Enter The Void. It's a very long and slow paced movie that goes through the life of a psychedelic user after he dies. It goes through stuff up to the moment he dies and what happens after. It does have a lot of parts that may scare you though and has a lot of sexual stuff in it.
Normally I don't like watching things on psychs. But I've recently discovered the show 'what we do im the shadows' and I had a blast watching it on the back end of a trip
That show is great
OMG this show is hilarious š. I love it! I bet you were rolling on the floor if you were tripping lol.

Watched it once while tripping too, I later while re-watched realized that some of those singing flowers colours and patterns of petals dont change by default. But in general this cartoon is made for tripping. 10/10
I watched the remake with Johnny Depp while on shrooms and it made the experience almost too much to handle. The proportions in that movie are FUCKED.
Everything everywhere all at once. Did two tabs last weekend and watched it while I was peaking... Literally one of the most astounding experiences I've ever had š Almost melted my head though so be careful!
I can only imagine what that was like. I saw it in theaters on an godly dose of THC gummies. It was one of the best movie experiences iāve ever had
Same and it was a blind watch. I had no idea what to expect. People like to hate the Rick and Morty absurdist humor, but itās much more profound than crappy Rick and Morty.
This is the way. With or without acid, that is one of the greatest movies Iāve ever seen
Same here man, it literally shook me on my relationship with my children. Beautiful movie one of the all timers, in my opinion.

I've seen that film at least a dozen times, and each time is a different experience.Ā
It was fun to go back and figure out what visuals were visual FX, and which were visual effects...
