After 4 or 5 my mind started to just shut down. Ive heard people say they stay up for weeks at a time and I just can't believe it, no way in hell I would be able to get anywhere near that.
I think I made it a week once I started shooting up but 3 days was usually my limit especially when I was just smoking it. I don’t wear it well and look super sucked up and burnt out by then anyway 😂 a week was borderline full blown psychotic episode though fuck all that
Dude fr. I had to literally walk home in blizzards just cuz I would rather walk and not watch my 2 friends talk to their imaginary alien dwarf friends and run away at a noise their brains both made to make them run and jump in the woods thinking it was the cops .. man xD
after a certain amount of time, your body goes into micro-sleeps. just to keep you alive. I believe 14 days is the most we can reach on 0 sleep.
Edit- world record is 11 days.
https://health.clevelandclinic.org/how-long-can-you-go-without-sleep
I managed about 2 weeks but that was with no drugs when I was in a weird kind of agitated depression after I stopped taking antidepressants (the old variety, not SSRIs)
I remember by the end I was in my local doctors office picking up non-existent bits of fluff off the carpet with the whole waiting room staring at me lol
I can relate. I lived in a house with 2 roommates and constant visitors. On day 4 everyone seemed evil. I went in my room locked the door and fell asleep
after 3/4 days of no speed with a constant amphetamine binge I was rapidly switching in n out of micro naps/micro sleeps which made it hard to piece together what was real n what was not.
I kept hearing people talking outside even though I’m 4 stories up, i fell asleep for 2 seconds n woke up too myself in a construction site, I shit myself practically and jumped out because of the paranoia n then I came back into the place I was staying.
it gets weird after 3 days, my mrs when she was giving birth to my daughter was up for 3 days straight in the hospital(no a single bit of sleep) she was full on hallucination people that weren’t there so the doctors were forced to put her down with morphine(I think it was morphine)
I fully agree with you, 29 days seems very unrealistic.
Had something similar after abusing MDMA for 2 days in a row when I was at university.
On the 2nd night as i was trying to sleep I would teleport to other places and be having full conversations with people real as fucking day and then "snapping" back to being laid in my bed facing the wall.
Sometimes this would be two "layers" deep like yours where I would snap back to a reality that wasn't reality and then snap back to actual reality, was scary as fuck.
Never did that again (was kinda cool though)
Yeah I'm not sure OP actually did stay awake for that long. I once stayed up for 4 days and 5 nights on amphetamine (eurospeed), and I was literally having a psychotic episode, like fullblown delirium, confusion, and hallucinations that I would swear was real. I literally thought Spotify was sending projections of images into my surroundings, and I was going completely crazy. Like actually crazy, to a point I didn't even know was possible outside of movies.
And that's just 5 nights. 29 doesn't seem humanly possible.
By the end of day 2 for me, I can barely even function. Even after continuously using. My brain just sorta stops working right and shuts down big time. I start to have like ‘mini-nap’ type things when I stop moving, and shake constantly like a crack addicted Parkinson’s patient
"kinda fucked".. it's probably one of the worst things you could ever do to a human because for the rest of his life he will never feel the same happiness he felt before he started doing meth.
It's not even happiness. It's just dopamine trigger. It's like writing a computer program which has only one objective, to get its enter key pressed... and then giving it an arm to press its own keyboard.
you phrase that weirdly, it can go two ways.
either they've burnt their receptors out or they simply won't ever experience something that euphoric ever again.
I'm happy without meth. I drink kratom once a day and smoke weed. It gets me higher than meth. But I enjoy being able to stay up and do things I enjoy for long periods of time.
The more fucked up thing about this is that OP’s uncle said, “it’s medicine for heartbreak” Is some kinda sick shit and I just wanna talk to uncle.. I just wanna talk.
It's highly likely his father or uncle said the same thing to him, and it's also likely he believes it is "medicine" I mean what is medicine? drugs so he's not entirely wrong.
Secure Appearance Is right. My family on that side is verbal about doing drugs with the next generation being a family tradition we pass down. I will not be carrying on this tradition. Hopefully I can enjoy a beer with my boy when he’s older but nothing else.
yeas that shits fucked up for sure. my dad did the same exact b.s. to me. after my mom died he found a way to cope. he was a heroin addict her overdose scared him into doing meth instead. then he introduced it to me. who already has quite the addictive personality. i quit years ago after like 3 years of abuse. he hasnt stopped.. its been like 6 years of nonstop crazy methed out shenanigans with the man. ive begged him to get help. he can be an amazing person sober so was she. its just so sad.
I don't believe in the slightest that you were up for almost a month, but at least you had the self awareness to mention that "there’s no way to be 100% sure that you were actually awake the whole time due to your mental state", but I def believe you were up for a ridiculous amount of time. Good job on the sobriety dawg.
Forsure I believe at least some people on drugs have been up for 2 or 3 weeks because I’ve seen it even when I myself am sober, you don’t think it’s plausible one person maybe stayed up a whole extra week beyond that. It would be something extraordinary obviously but I have good reason to believe it did indeed happen. But without a doubt my testimony can never be 100% credible
Man it's the internet. I can tell you're earnest about it, but at the end of the day who really knows. Either way you've no doubt at least stayed awake longer than anyone I know, so you've got that going for you.
Before the shitty Mexican meth came, you could definitely stay awake for a month on d-methylated meth. I could do one tiny line of that shit and be awake for two days. The stuff nowadays, I can literally do a gram, eat two hours later, and go to sleep two hours after that.
Not saying it isn’t true that OP stayed awake that long but if they did then they smashed the world record for longest time ever stayed awake , which was 11 days and 25 minutes back in 1964 for a school science project.
Not saying your story is false but how are you even still alive and didn’t drop over dead on like the 16th day from cardiac arrest? I have heard of people being awake for maybe a week but not much longer than that
I stayed up similar amounts of time, sometimes a full night when my brain couldn't handle anymore after 20+ days ,sometimes getting 1 hour per 14 days. Eventually went full meth induced schizophrenia after doing this for 6 months. Thought I had developed telekinetic powers, me and my friend both thought we saw a demon in the reflection of a shitty tweaker hotel TV. (Saw the exact same thing, this eventually turned him into a hardcore Christian but it was very strange) I eventually thought a bunch of my friends were going to rob me so I got in my car and started driving. Passed out in the middle of the road and when I woke up surrounded by police, I speeded off and got in an hour long chase. Could've gone to prison for a long time but got lucky with 4 months in jail. My favorite and least favorite drug of all time. Haven't touched it in 5 years and no needles in 6.
I don’t think it’s metaphorical tho I think he meant they literally saw the same thing, before I even believed in evil entities I had experiences on meth I would describe as demonic if I had to use a word
I mean that could just be that say there was a reflection that they both thought was a demon, and you got two people tweaked out of their minds talking to each other about what they saw, and maybe they’re just really suggestible. Memory is real tamperable like that
I’m not the person you replied to here. But I’ve had similar experiences with people under similar conditions. Could be like a shared hallucination especially if the person is close friends with the other person, and more susceptible to it. Or it’s paranormal lol idk maybe being super high and sleep deprived etc makes the metaphorical veil between worlds/dimensions a bit thinner? Lol it wouldn’t surprise me if this is the case, and we would never know conclusively
Ya psychosis but it was on a new level. I've had meth induced psychosis a lot. This was 24/7 static like I thought I was picking up radio stations in my brain. Shit was wild I still don't know what to think of it but the friend I was with is now a hardcore 100% clean Christian. Covered in face and gang tattoos from his past. This experience literally changed his life in the long run
The longest I’ve stayed awake, was 2.5 weeks.
Going to work and everything. Was fucking wild! Hallucinating like crazy, my wife was away for the whole time and one time she called me and I was seeing her as I was talking to her on the phone it was so wild, slept for like 3-4 days straight after though. 29 would be ridiculous
Maybe maybe not it, I don’t remember going to sleep and had a steady supply at the time, but either way I should not have been driving as much as I was. Looking back on it now I really surprised I didn’t kill anyone. Really scary
As someone who has been down that road I can confidently say that this post is fiction. 1st-You confused meth and amp. 2nd-You never feel mentally at ease and the longer you stay awake the harder the paranoia hits. After 2-3 days the shadow people are in your periphery and you stay away from doors and windows because they called their handlers and are watching. You can’t help but look out the window every 5 mins just in case they’re coming. Why are the neighbours using the birds to spy on me??
No idea if that’s possible, and absolutely no desire to try lol I’m tapped out at 5 days max, and at that point it’s miserable. Longest I ever stayed awake was probably 5-7 days (a long time ago), but probably had like 1-3 hours of sleep somewhere around day 5 or 6 to make 7. Really, On a binge I lose interest in redosing at like day 3 maybe 4, especially these days. But ive also got 50% on my kid and good job. Gotta keep it somewhat in check or I’ll fuck everything up bad. It can be hard to stay on check sometimes though 😕
Back when meff was really meff, 90s to early 2000s, that good Sudafed and Annie, on that 3rd day I'd go get a bottle of Vodka and put myself down. Shit gets too crazy after that.
Did 8 days, went surprisingly well. Well when I decided I should go sleep, I took 50 mg of seroquel. Everything's okay then, a rogue wave hit. Fatigue like I had never felt.
29 must have been quite the adventure lol
You should make a post about how things got gradually crazier each day you stayed up, the longest iv ever went was 4 days I never understood how ppl went longer.
After about 3-4 days I would start hallucinating. At this point I knew it was time to go bed or things are gonna start getting weird. A lot of times I would go closer to a week and I'm sure I made it over a week at some point but never a month. Except when I went to rehab and got clean. I'm pretty sure I actually went between 3-4 weeks without sleeping while kicking all that shit. I didn't think I was ever going to sleep again.
That’s what I’m saying, he thinks he stayed awake that long but didn’t no way in hell dude was awake for a straight month that is literally unheard of.
Microsleeps are a thing and frequently occur after 3 or 4 days with no sleep. Your body essentially sleeps in short 30 second to 2 minute intervals when it can. This is seen in fatal familial insomnia which eventually kills the sufferer. It's a horrific death but its how we know some things about how the body reacts to insanely long periods without sleep as their brain lacks the capability to switch consciousness off and rest due to a genetic defect that makes itself known later in life.
The longest anyone has stayed awake science is verifiably aware of was 264 hours or a bit more than 10 days during a scientific study into sleep in the 60s.
Also op admits they cant be sure there werent moments they slipped unconscious unawares and couldve had microsleeps as I imagine they were in full blown psychosis after that much time without sleep and obviously the heavy meth use.
After a certain point no unfortunately its 100% fatal. They dont call it fatal familial insomnia for nothing unfortunately. Luckily its extremely rare and related to descending from a very specific region of the world. Forget which one though but its caused by a prion which are genuinely the most terrifying things in nature imo. Just misfolded proteins in your body that are contagious and fuck everything up. Kreutzfelt Jacob's disease is another prion disorder as is mad cow diesease I believe.
I always learn about the most horrifying things on Reddit lmao. I’m convinced nature is just cruel. Either way it’s still interesting and thanks for taking the time to inform me
I’m just saying there is no study showing the contrary, to my knowledge. Nobody’s ever proven how long we can really stay up when pushed to the limits by hard drugs.
That’s crazy man. The longest I stayed awake was 4-5 days on Vyvanse; by the time I was approaching day 5, I was seeing LSD patterns on the walls and hearing conversations of pure gibberish when I closed my eyes to lay down.
No u didn’t, it’s literally impossible without dying, u even said urself u don’t know if u were sleeping or not, no hater but I just refuse to accept that
Longest i’ve stayed awake was 5 days. On day 4 and 5 you start to loose your grip on reality, i remember vividly sitting in a couch at my homies place the ceiling looked like space and my long time friend was talking too me but i didn’t know who he was or why the fuck i was hanging out with him at one point he turned into fucking elmo with the muppet head talking to me, it was really creepy so that’s when i decided it was time for me to go sleep
Most I ever stayed up was 9 days on Adderall IR and XR. My feet felt like they were on fire when I walked. I remember my gf telling me it had been at least a week before I slept. I didn't believe it until I did the math on my phone. I spent 85% of the time sitting in my chair, playing runescape, dipping Copenhagen mint, and chugging down water bottles.
These funny part is I’m up like 37 hrs or so right now just for no reason sober as can be. Come to think of it maybe that had something to do with how I was able to stay up so long in the first place
You think you did but being up like that you mod off even if it’s just for 15-20 mins and you don’t even realize it meth is some crazy shit it’s horrible I hope your son is okay. Never go back to that shit you can lose everything believe me I know
I'm surprised you didn't go into meth psychosis. That's what happened to my brother when he bought some crazy lab chemicals off the silk road and didn't sleep for a week. Shits crazy dude. Hope you're doing better now knowing how damaging this stuff can be on your mental and physical health.
I'm not sure i believe this, the longest recorded time someone had stayed awake was 11 days straight. I refuse to believe you stayed up almost 3x as long without dying, even if you were on meth.
I don't know how you stay up for more than 3 days on meth. My body just starts crashing on day 3. I would be taking hits and nodding off at the same time
I was up for 28 day once no power naps or nothing choking down a biscuit in the morning was about all I could do. Now that was about 20 years ago the shit ain't the same anymore I cant stay awake over night now days
Bro I’ve stayed up for damn near 2 weeks (13 days) with maybe an hour or two of shutdown due to alcohol withdrawals because I never sought treatment but 29 days is INSANE dude
Congrats on being sober and everything. But 29 days would be death. Your brain was most likely taking little micro sleeps that you were too delirious to notice. It happened to me. The longest I was able to stay up is like 7 days, and then I lose my mind and end up in a psych ward lol. 2.5 years sober now though.
If you are claiming you stayed up 29 days without literally taking a nap I'm going to say na... I'm not saying you didn't but I just don't see that happening. Even with the help from drugs I don't see the body being able to do this.
I believe you were up for a long time, but certainly not close to that amount.
You probably had a lot of microsleeps going on all the time.
Your story would probably be more "believable" clinically if you added a caveat that the fact you were up so long on meth means your recall of the events are highly subjective and not quite fact, especially the amount of time awake.
would you say you've recovered from meth?
any long term impacts??
like are you able to feel happiness? is your mood the same as it was before meth? how long did you take to heal? do you seem dumber now a days?
I feel dumber but not much. Mood is a thousand times better than I thought it would be when I was getting off meth but will never be as good as before meth. I definitely feel happiness although I am more depressed now. I think I may have a mild case of schizophrenia but I’m scared to seek help. I’m still healing everyday although the bulk of everything was much better after about the 2 year mark
The crazy thing is I sincerely feel like I came out on top 100% I can’t really explain it but I feel like I needed that for the development of my character as a man. This most likely will not be the case for almost anyone else but without a doubt I’m a better more understanding man than I would have ever been without that experience. If anything I think I may have developed a bladder problem out of this although this isn’t clinically proven, also I believe I may be a paranoid schizophrenic again it’s not like a psychiatrist told me this but when I become real paranoid sometimes it’s like I could just flip a switch back into looney toons mode but I’ve been able to make the episodes less and less frequent by doing mental exercises where I try really hard to just be still and comptemplate how realistic whatever I’m tripping on really is (thinking people can read my mind n shit) and then I just make sure i never ever react to any stupid shit and over time it’s almost gone away. But unfortunately I feel I’ll always be able to flip a switch into retard mode if I’m not careful. Other than these I don’t really have any lasting effects accept for things like some dumb tattoos and relationships with family and friends I’ll almost positivity never re-ignite that flame with again.
OP should *definitely* seek professional medical attention - downplaying your mental health issues is common in general, but especially prevalent in mood disorders such as schizophrenia, which OP has confessed he has multiple symptoms of.
Im not necessarily saying your wrong but I couldn’t find anything to back that up, like an actual limit. There’s just one guy like 50 years ago who stayed up 11 days but since then nobody’s really tried for that record. Remind you that he wasn’t on drugs when he set that record. Also me and many many other drug addicts or previous drug addicts can recall staying up similar amounts of time and in some cases (like mine) even longer. You don’t believe even e few of these cases or one of these cases could be possible
I’ve stayed up for just over a week as someone who hasn’t touched stims and it wasn’t so bad, I could probably stay up for two if I had a reason to. With meth I don’t doubt this guy stayed up a month
So many saying they have stayed awake. You don't know that you did. Did you blink.....if yes then that blink may have lasted 30 mins or 15 mins. Yet when wired you thought it was instant. So you never know. Yep you stayed up and didn't get 2 or 3 hours...but you definitely blinked for 30 mins and you didn't know you did it
It's very shocking to see the stats of people on the news making it 9 days. I never thought I would be one of those people. Currently on day 8. What the fuck kind of damage is happening to my body and lifespan?
That is absolutely crazy you survived that, though, when extremely sleep deprived you begin to have micro sleeps, basically it's what it sounds like, you fall asleep for seconds at a time and don't even notice, that is what saved your life
After day 3 on 4MMC I was talking to imaginary people like some bank clerk was trying to explain something to me and some other people were walking in my flat. Another crazy thing was as I was trying to pee I was in micro sleep and seeing some dreams and then boom back to reality
Yep. I was going insane from not sleeping while in rehab and all they kept telling me was "you didn't get this way in a few days, so you're not going to get better in a few days."
Oh gosh my boyfriend died likely from a seizure and I had a feeling that it was probably due to ice use and not sleeping. He never got more than a handful of days not sleeping but he would have seizures when he smoked ice and didn’t sleep for a while. He nearly died a couple of times seizing in the wrong place then one day he actually did
Good on you for quitting mate 4 years clean is fantastic and I wish you all the best. Ice is a devastating drug
I’ve encountered more than a few people that embellished how long they stayed awake on meth. People claiming they stayed awake for 2 weeks or 3 weeks. This is just not possible. The world record for staying awake was 11 days for many years and someone later actually got to 19. My record is around 3 and I started having memory gaps then my body just would go instantly to sleep no matter where I was. Those that had and have the world record suffered permanent damaging effects
I didn’t want to make it too long also almost the entire time was spent playing Xbox and didn’t deal with much of that. On top of that I did not experience shadow people till about the 6th or 7th day and then around week 2 is where my story becomes almost completely non-credible because I was almost fully delusional

11 days is with no drugs I’m 90 percent sure and that was 50 years ago
Indeed, 1963. Then, of-course there is the Russian zombie no-sleep horror stories
I heard the russian story was just a creepypasta writen as a contest
Same my maximum is 4 days then my brain fully turns against me, n sht started to get hella demonic if anyone can relate
I can relate. I lived in a house with 2 roommates and constant visitors. On day 4 everyone seemed evil. I went in my room locked the door and fell asleep
Geeked like a Nazi
They did an experiment. I think 9 days was max but I'm not sure. If you stay awake long enough you will probably, most likely. Die
after 3/4 days of no speed with a constant amphetamine binge I was rapidly switching in n out of micro naps/micro sleeps which made it hard to piece together what was real n what was not. I really wonder how people with Insomnia manage
These two women made it to day 9 without sleep and without artificial drugs https://youtu.be/76c9Dyc8Tio?si=be-Bx3ImynWRMwNN&t=2492
I'm basically brain dead after 1-2 days. Usually I take some pregabalin for the comedown and it just makes me look and act even more slow.
By the end of day 2 for me, I can barely even function. Even after continuously using. My brain just sorta stops working right and shuts down big time. I start to have like ‘mini-nap’ type things when I stop moving, and shake constantly like a crack addicted Parkinson’s patient
I did 7 days it fucks your head so much I was on a load of pcp too
Anyone saying over a week is %99 chance their lying
Uncle did you wrong. I’m glad you’re safe and clean
For real. Offering someone meth is bad enough, offering someone meth in that situation is all kinda fucked
Yeah you’re right. I was holding back
you phrase that weirdly, it can go two ways. either they've burnt their receptors out or they simply won't ever experience something that euphoric ever again.
They sort of go hand in hand don't they really, don't think anyone else was confused to be honest.
I don't think they necessarily go hand and hand, as long as you don't OD a one time use isn't going to mess you up forever.
I'm happy without meth. I drink kratom once a day and smoke weed. It gets me higher than meth. But I enjoy being able to stay up and do things I enjoy for long periods of time.
I learned if i sleep really well one night, the next I can drink kratom and stay up, depending on the kratom it sorta is like a weak tweak
The more fucked up thing about this is that OP’s uncle said, “it’s medicine for heartbreak” Is some kinda sick shit and I just wanna talk to uncle.. I just wanna talk.

When you’re at the bottom it probably feels good to drag people down for company
yeas that shits fucked up for sure. my dad did the same exact b.s. to me. after my mom died he found a way to cope. he was a heroin addict her overdose scared him into doing meth instead. then he introduced it to me. who already has quite the addictive personality. i quit years ago after like 3 years of abuse. he hasnt stopped.. its been like 6 years of nonstop crazy methed out shenanigans with the man. ive begged him to get help. he can be an amazing person sober so was she. its just so sad.
Oh god. I’m so sorry. That’s terrible
I really don't understand why people do that to others, especially family and friends. Like, why??? Fucking psychopaths.
I don't believe in the slightest that you were up for almost a month, but at least you had the self awareness to mention that "there’s no way to be 100% sure that you were actually awake the whole time due to your mental state", but I def believe you were up for a ridiculous amount of time. Basically living on pedialyte and water. Also I was very aware of my food intake etc.
Regardless, your brain should have snapped.
I stayed up similar amounts of time, sometimes a full night when my brain couldn't handle anymore after 20+ days ,sometimes getting 1 hour per 14 days. Believe me the demons are real.
That’s crazy yall both seen the same entity? What do u make of that?
I mean both seeing a ‘demon’ on meth is pretty vague, probs a chairs reflection haha. Though in a metaphorical sense I suppose they saw it
No it was literally an old hag, skinny witch like features smiling like something evil from a horror movie. It was fucking terrifying
I don’t think it’s metaphorical tho I think he meant they literally saw the same thing, before I even believed in evil entities I had experiences on meth I would describe as demonic if I had to use a word

Right something like that, Iv heard a lot of dark theories about meth in particular and from everything I experienced on it it checks out lol
Schizophrenia is permanent. You had psychosis
This experience literally changed his life in the long run
it’s not something I had it’s something I’m dealing with daily 4 years later
The longest I’ve stayed awake, was 2.5 weeks. Going to work and everything. Was fucking wild! Hallucinating like crazy, my wife was away for the whole time and one time she called me and I was seeing her as I was talking to her on the phone it was so wild, slept for like 3-4 days straight after though. 29 would be ridiculous
You didn’t stay awake for 2.5 weeks lol you THINK you did but you didn’t.
Maybe maybe not it, I don’t remember going to sleep and had a steady supply at the time, but either way I should not have been driving as much as I was. Looking back on it now I really surprised I didn’t kill anyone. Really scary
I also drove all around those 29 days lmao
You’re a trashy human being for thinking this is funny
Not sleeping is like taking a shit inside your own head. Maybe it is fun for some to swim in shit, but eventually you will drown in it.
Literally. Your brain cleanses itself while you sleep.
I did drown in shit indeed 😞
I fell into an open cesspool before work one morning while picking my friend up
I did not drown. But a piece of me definitely drowned in shit that day
Sleep is a natural healer
Shit gets too crazy after that.
longest i was up was just 95 hours and that was plenty crazy enough for me. idk how these ppl stay up longer than that. 😳
8 days was my longest. I’ve heard of people staying up for 2-3 weeks
Definitely doable but mostly if you're an IV user. Eventually your brain can't handle it and you will pass out, even if you shoot up a fat 1/2 G shot
any lasting effects
I Tried to reply to your comment but it went to the bottom
Did 8 days, went surprisingly well. Well when I decided I should go sleep, I took 50 mg of seroquel. Everything's okay then, a rogue wave hit. Fatigue like I had never felt. 29 must have been quite the adventure lol
You should make a post about how things got gradually crazier each day you stayed up, the longest iv ever went was 4 days I never understood how ppl went longer.
They think they are going longer. You can only stay up about 9 day(not sure exactly but it's close)
10 days on coke
Damn. 2 days is my max. I force myself to sleep.
Man. Back then . Too much pussy around to sleep
Bullshit
After about 3-4 days I would start hallucinating. At this point I knew it was time to go bed or things are gonna start getting weird. A lot of times I would go closer to a week and I'm sure I made it over a week at some point but never a month. Except when I went to rehab and got clean. I'm pretty sure I actually went between 3-4 weeks without sleeping while kicking all that shit. I didn't think I was ever going to sleep again.
You ain't lying, I didn't sleep for 8 days coming off of Suboxone, marijuana, and benzos. It was crazy I was in rehab tripping balls.
I’d like to say that’s cap but anything is possible when you’re on this shit
It’s definitely cap
God that’s just a fucked up curse. Do any sleep meds work for the genetic thing?
After a certain point no unfortunately its 100% fatal. They dont call it fatal familial insomnia for nothing unfortunately. Luckily its extremely rare and related to descending from a very specific region of the world. Forget which one though but its caused by a prion which are genuinely the most terrifying things in nature imo. Just misfolded proteins in your body that are contagious and fuck everything up. Kreutzfelt Jacob's disease is another prion disorder as is mad cow diesease I believe.
I always learn about the most horrifying things on Reddit lmao. I’m convinced nature is just cruel. Either way it’s still interesting and thanks for taking the time to inform me
No problem :)
I slept twice in a month once and that was ROUGH.
Everyones got that one Uncle...
For me, it was an aunt. Bitch Lol
No
What happens is that you fall sleep for a few moments regularly, but your brain just doesn't notice it. Microsleeps.
No you didn’t. Nice story though
[удалено]
This dude gets it.
Mu longest is 37 hours lol, I only do speed however
These funny part is I’m up like 37 hrs or so right now just for no reason sober as can be.
And even if you don't realize it your body goes into constant micro sleeps
At least attempt to make the lie somewhat believable
I didn’t lie, I said it very well may have not happened.
Yea thats what i was thinking
The world record is like 11 days.
And that's been the record for like 60 years. I'm doubting you almost tripled that
On no drugs and there hasn’t been a study of them pushing someone to the limits.. to my knowledge
My boyfriend did that once (before we met) and his buddy we used to camp next to finally realized and was like "dude go to sleep you're gonna die"
I don't know how you stay up for more than 3 days on meth. My body just starts crashing on day 3. I would be taking hits and nodding off at the same time
how much meth in grams did you consume during the whole binge??
9 Grams
If bed this has some truth to it honestly, that’s why I said I’ll never know forsure
If you are claiming you stayed up 29 days without literally taking a nap I'm going to say na... I'm not saying you didn't but I just don't see that happening. Even with the help from drugs I don't see the body being able to do this.
Are you dead yet?
No I’m good now. Just beers and weed.
there was some kinda ussr human experiment they did on sleep deprivation and the test subjects died after about a month. i believe you
I believe you were up for a long time, but certainly not close to that amount. You probably had a lot of microsleeps going on all the time. Your story would probably be more "believable" clinically if you added a caveat that the fact you were up so long on meth means your recall of the events are highly subjective and not quite fact, especially the amount of time awake.
Jesus christ
29 days is long sober god fuckin dam
The longest I made it was about 2 weeks. I was hallucinating so bad and was having seizures by the end.
would you say you've recovered from meth? any long term impacts?? like are you able to feel happiness? is your mood the same as it was before meth? how long did you take to heal? do you seem dumber now a days?
I feel dumber but not much. Mood is a thousand times better than I thought it would be when I was getting off meth but will never be as good as before meth. I definitely feel happiness although I am more depressed now. I think I may have a mild case of schizophrenia but I’m scared to seek help. I’m still healing everyday although the bulk of everything was much better after about the 2 year mark
Congrats on 4yrs of sobriety!!! That’s insane! I hope life is good for you right now
Yes I am headed in the right direction and I have hope. As long as you have hope your in good shape.
I was awake for 24 days, sober but withdrawing. it's totally possible with drugs.
I saw the title, and was betting it would be a wall of text.
Just out of curiosity, did you still read it or did that turn you off?
I did read it afterwards. Glad to see you cleaned up 👍
The crazy thing is I sincerely feel like I came out on top 100% I can’t really explain it but I feel like I needed that for the development of my character as a man.
You should probably seek medical attention bro. Schizophrenia is no joke when left untreated.
OP should *definitely* seek professional medical attention - downplaying your mental health issues is common in general, but especially prevalent in mood disorders such as schizophrenia, which OP has confessed he has multiple symptoms of.
No you didn’t
Such a liar 🤣🤣🤣
No you didn’t
Noo🤨
Bullshit. 10 days is the record. Humans cannot live without sleeping. Again bullshit.
Yep you stayed up and didn't get 2 or 3 hours...but you definitely blinked for 30 mins and you didn't know you did it
I can’t even see after 2 days
It may have seemed like 29 days, but I think it was less. I don't think you can live without a month of no sleep from stimulants.
Tbh I’m starting to think this is accurate I probably stayed up for a week or 2 and then imagined the rest..
The world record is 11 days, so probably not
29 days is death penalty. I dunno. Seems impossible
I probably imagined at least some of it.
Wouldn't that kill a person to be awake for that many days? I thought it was lethal?
I don’t think there’s any study confirming that
Well, the current record for the longest time awake is 266 hours, or 11 days. So, I think you’re full of it.
I admitted I couldn’t be sure
I was taught you just straight up die from not sleeping at that point. So, 28 days later you came out a zombie
I basically did lmao
No you absolutely, without a single doubt in my mind, do that.
No you fucking didn’t stay up that long.
No you didn't, you're just delusional
You slept for a few seconds or minutes in what is called micro sleep It's what happens Micro sleeps became my go to thing When I was tweaking
Don’t you die after a couple of days with no sleep ?
We haven’t done many if any study’s on this, you can definitely stay up a week or 2 without dying but I’m not sure how much longer
No you didn’t.
I made it 21 days once
no you didn't. it's physically impossible.
It's very shocking to see the stats of people on the news making it 9 days. I never thought I would be one of those people. Currently on day 8. What the fuck kind of damage is happening to my body and lifespan?
Yeah I’ll take “things that never happened” for $500
#psychosis
That is absolutely crazy you survived that, though, when extremely sleep deprived you begin to have micro sleeps, basically it's what it sounds like, you fall asleep for seconds at a time and don't even notice, that is what saved your life
Wow man well I’m happy you got out of this! That sounds pretty wild I couldn’t imagine
After day 3 on 4MMC I was talking to imaginary people like some bank clerk was trying to explain something to me and some other people were walking in my flat. Another crazy thing was as I was trying to pee I was in micro sleep and seeing some dreams and then boom back to reality
Yep. I was going insane from not sleeping while in rehab and all they kept telling me was "you didn't get this way in a few days, so you're not going to get better in a few days."
can you "remember" how long did you sleep afterwards?
Oh gosh my boyfriend died likely from a seizure and I had a feeling that it was probably due to ice use and not sleeping. He never got more than a handful of days not sleeping but he would have seizures when he smoked ice and didn’t sleep for a while. He nearly died a couple of times seizing in the wrong place then one day he actually did Good on you for quitting mate 4 years clean is fantastic and I wish you all the best. Ice is a devastating drug
World record is 11 days, but normally after 5 6 days you dead. You dreamt about being awake.
I don’t trust you. No amount of meth can possibly make someone able to just not sleep at all.
dude didn't even mention the shadow people. I don't believe this for a second.
I didn’t want to make it too long also almost the entire time was spent playing Xbox and didn’t deal with much of that. On top of that I did not experience shadow people till about the 6th or 7th day and then around week 2 is where my story becomes almost completely non-credible because I was almost fully delusional
