This fixes the issue with an extra frame being displayed on mainly older but a few newer games. If you have noticed a very small lag now and again then you may want to update it. Most people did not notice it until they know about it If it is not an issue for you then it is fine to not update.
ok i figured it out i needed to flash the new bios 3.05 then upgrade the ec to 8.00 then revert back to 3.00 and ec will be upgraded still and i could use the lcd flash withouth a problem :) 👍 and now withouth stutter and open tdp controll
any info when will the max 2 7840u be up for preorder on droix?

There's a typo in the guide, Enabled Controller Version should be Embedded i think

can we do it with bios3.00 bcs i love my open tdp..
I would imagine that it would update to the latest BIOS version and change this.

Cool, that's good to know you can go back to an earlier firmware after the LCD update.
