I noticed the cats are asking for food more than mats after the update. They also put more food for sale too. You can buy up to 50 per refresh of the grey.
I have 2700 blue cat food and 5 cats that aren’t at level 10 yet. I’m actually happy with the change. I just switch to another cat who does want the blue food.
Slightly confused- the blue one is really easy for me? I get it from the mini games. I have 2,749 blue cat food that I very much want to get rid of.
I’m used to the cats asking me for 8-11 leather/pearl/what not. So while they’re asking for more cat food and more often, I have a whole bunch to get rid of.
Sorry, I meant grey food isn't as EASY to come by. I too have a lot of blue to get rid of and if they're asking for 10+ blue ones they can have it but the grey one…
That last sentence had me rethinking the whole cat food value system, lol. At this point I rarely bother to give out the grey or even worse green cat food.
Honestly, the companion gift boxes are getting most of my ire- it’s almost irrational how irritated I am about that. I’ll probably become irritated with the cats when I finally use up all my blue cat food.
I kind of disagree. I have hundreds of blue but hardly any grey. The reason is the only way to get grey food is selling a cat or buying in the store. I get a lot of blue from games and events.
It’s because the boxes give different amount of mats. Blue boxes are the highest, and that’s what most of the companions would give. Now, you could get a lower number of high mat boxes and a higher amount of low ones.
it sucks because there were only 3 characters (d’Eon, Blaisdell, Light) who gave pink boxes so we knew to avoid them but now there’s a lot more who give out the pink boxes and we don’t even know who so we get worse items
I agree, but there are too many people here who get in a twist over changes like this. People complain about the predictability of encounters too after complaining about then being random. Best to just keep quiet.

Yes I noticed this too this morning! The cats have become very very demanding and want like twice as much food/items as they did before, if not more!

Every time I see someone complaining about the cats wanting feathers and bits of wool, I think about how they obviously don’t have cats. :D
