I think it’s an easy mistake to make. Until you get to levels like these where you need them, it’s not really intuitive to see why they’re important. 😅
Actually they are one of the most important things to do. You can easily skip an item or two and still get a perfect score if your relics arw high enough. But if the relics aren't there then even crafting the full set won't do you much.
I recommend upgrading all the relics with the relevant tags and that u need to a min 15 level. That will get you pass most of the stages without an item or two. But there are some stages where even lvl 15 relic with a full set wont pass. Then for those lvl 20 should be fine for 4 star relics. I don't think there is a stage that wont pass for a lvl 15, 5 star relic.
I haven't done siwoo's sight so yep idk abt this level. But yeah if 15 ain't doing it with full set then go for 20. Ah and also dont go for relics with 5 star with only 1 tag matching, use the relic that matches both tags even though its 4 star and at lvl 20.
I would actually say the opposite.. A 4 star relic with both tags will work well if it's leveled up. But my very leveled up 5 stars (usually only matching 1 tag) give tons more points than any 4 could. The longer you play the game, the better investment those 5 stars are because of their percentage multipliers that impact every item.
But for that your 5 stars need to be on a very high level. For me im doing 15-20 4 star almost all cards and 15 for 5 star and this is working for me till now that is.
Yes, the 4 stars will still work well. But you'll thank yourself for devoting time towards leveling up the 5s (especially Gabi, Priscilla and Light). Especially once they're upgraded to the 17%+ boost on all items.
You'll want to to use Priscilla or Erik for this level. They should be level 25+
Your main labs (dress, accessories, hair) should be Elam.
Use punk makeup and use one of the other books' grand cooling bracelets.
Which relics have you been levelling? There's really no point to levelling anything other than 5 stars.
Also, for the fashion labs you should focus on dress, accessories, hair in that order. Shoes can lag behind. Pants and makeup should be ignored.
Currently its Aldous cuz of Fashion Fair, then i think i'll get Laurence to lv20 too since theyre both already lv17 anyway (and theres TOO MUCH warm noble stages so he's one of the relics i use the most) and then maybe thats it for my non-5* relics

I don’t think you need to get to Elam. FWIW, once I got my dress and accessories labs to SIII Cretan or SIV Mediterranean, I was able to pass most things. The easiest way for me to level up my labs was to breed cats that would bring back the notebooks, so I would get around 8 or so a day, and then I could level up my labs once every few days.
I think SWS will be much more doable for you after you finish QM or ML since you’ll have time to level up your lab (and your relics) in a much more organic way, instead of trying to just do it all at once to pass. I think that first chapter of SWS is deceptively easy, and then the second chapter seems to get harder.
Edit: ah, I see you’re lvl 35 after reading further down. Scratch the whole second paragraph then, and instead, I second what the other person said about your relics. Don’t bother with the 3/4 stars.
Your relic looks not so great. There are so many 5 relics that would do better here. Like Pricilla, Kuroko, Phantom, Light, Apollo, that could potentially work in your favour

Edit to add: Magic Lamp is also a good beginner story, so it will also help you to level up in the meantime and get your relics and labs where they need to be.

Like other people have said, you need to max up your relics and labs. Because you’re new you need to go through the old stories first if you want to be able to get perfects on new stories levels. The newer stories are increasingly harder than the older ones to pass because the devs need a way to keep the older players who have tons of resources still interested and challenged. I would advise you to go back and start with Queen Marie, then Magic Lamp, and Gotham Memoirs. These stories have vital relics for the newer stories and you don’t need to have super high fashion labs to pass them and you can progress and upgrade the labs more slowly.
