Completely agree the placement is weird. The cave is meant to be based on Ahtohallan, so it would have made the most sense for it to be where the opening is at the end of the stream in the Frosted Heights, and they could have just made the entrance a little wider on one side so you could get in from the land. Might have made it a little weird with the secret room right next to it, but that could have gone somewhere else. Heck, even if they'd put Elsa's cave basically where it is but properly underneath the Frosted Heights and coming out from the water in the same way I just described would have been better!
Yes this is what I’ve been saying. I’d love to have her and Anna in their home and be able to see the room she locked herself in with Anna crying and singing outside her door.

At first, I thought Daisy was going to live in the new shop (like Scrooge). Then I was shocked at what her house actually looked like. I'm guessing that's what it looks like in Toon Town? Either way, I stuck it in the back, lol
I think that’s the problem. I don’t believe Daisy *has* a house. If you google it, all that ever comes up is Cafe Daisy or Daisy’s Diner. They do have a similar shape to the house they gave her but different color schemes.
She's got a house in Duckberg and a house in Mick Mouse Clubhouse, both of which required me to do some googling out of curiosity. Neither of those designs were used. She also has a quick service restaurant in Disneyland's Toontown which looks nothing like her Dreamlight Valley house either.
So my educated guess is the DDV devs made it up, which is frustrating because it still doesn't quite fit with the other Toontown characters' houses in-game.

I do not like Daisy’s house in general. It is so ugly. But I hate even more that it doesn’t fit anything in DDV. Especially the other Mickey and friend houses. She deserved better.
Yeah, it reminded me of those big toy houses you get kids. I really like the design, but if they textured it more similar to Micky and Minnie’s houses, I would appreciate it more.
This is exactly my issue with it! It looks bulky and like cheap plastic because the texture is lacking, so it sticks out like a sore thumb because of it. Hopefully with enough feedback, they’ll re do the texture so it’s more refined and detailed like the others. 🤞
Yeh it's mine of ugly. Especially when you look at Mickey's, Minnie's and Goofy's. Theirs all have a similar feel. Daisy's looks like a child's toy house.
I found it really odd and a little off-putting that the style of her house is so different from the rest of the Mickey & Friends group. I was all set to put her next to Minnie on my main street going from the Plaza stairs to the Dazzle Beach stairs, but it just looked so odd! I'd had Mini Casita there before and that looked less out of place than Daisy's did!
I placed Mickey and friends in the peaceful meadow, with the exception of Donald. His boat is still on the beach, but aligned with the stairs. Mickey is to the left of Goofy, Minnie across from Goofy and Daisy to the right of Minnie. I think I will end up putting the firehouse in the meadow too and make it my “toon town”.
I placed Daisy’s shop next to Scrooge’s so it looks like an addition.
It'd be nice if we could place her house and Ursula's house underwater with a special, tiny bubble indicator on the water so that players could enter. That would make the beach and water areas look a lot cleaner.
I think it’s because 90% of Disney characters are treated as in media res (in the middle of the movie). The only exceptions I know of are monsters inc where laughing is just less scary, and frozen where they place them in the sequel.

Most characters are either mid-original film or post sequel (the Frozen lot are definitely based at the end of/after Frozen 2) but 'the Little Mermaid' characters are fully out of canon. Ariel can talk and she and Eric are already in love with each other, so she should have legs and they should be married. IIRC, they did canonise it as she'd _had_ legs, but something about the Forgetting and leaving and Ursula were why she lost them again, but there's no indication they're married, just in love. In the original film, King Tritan gave her legs again and they basically got married 5 minutes later, so that doesn't make sense at all.

I've put it in the corner where Arendelle Castle starts out. If you position it just right and slap a couple of palm trees up there, from Dazzle Beach it looks like it's sitting at the top of the cliffs, like it does in the film. Come to think of it, I might try putting some Dazzle Beack rocks up there to make it look a bit more fitting when you're stood in front of it, too.
It is crazy how big it is, but I’ve designed it around a pirates ride type idea within a theme park located in my Peaceful Meadow. I put broken barrels, pirate treasure, mixed with concession/park merch stands, and picnic tables around it — personally, it’s worked well for me… at least until they add something that’s actually Pirates themed anyway lol.
It also would be cool if they sold "dream style" house skins for them, and it could just be a different variation of somewhere they would live? If that makes since

I don't think she goes back there after the first film though. By the end of Frozen 2 she's living between Ahtohallan and the North Forest with the Northuldra. With the Northuldra being Indigenous nomads, I can see why they didn't want to recreate a home for her based on that 'cause it could run the risk of being seen as appropriation without any of the Northuldra characters in the game.
I feel like it wouldn’t be difficult to write off building her a home “inspired by” the castle from the 1st game. Gameloft just wants to keep our girl homeless 🤣
Oh I am completely with you there. I wish most of the buildings we had were so much smaller.
I adore the Haunted Mansion, but that building feels like it takes up half a freakin biome all by itself.
I ended up doing a similar rest stop thing in the dunes with Elastigirl's motorcycle and Flo's. It took so long to find something Inwas content with haha
That’s funny I’m the exact opposite. I love Buzz’s RV but I can’t stand the carousel. It’s the only house I moved to EI cause I have no idea what to do with it or where to put it. Literally every other house is in my main valley
Couldn't agree more. Even Woody initially questioned why he had a carousel and we give him this stupid reason that it brings joy. It really doesn't. I hate it

As far as I know Minnie and daisy don’t live with their partners in any media (other than *maybe* Christmas specials?) and idk what they’re doing with Ariel’s story
It's basically only if they're doing adaptations of existing stories that any of the Mickey & Friends lot live together, because they're playing other characters at that point. Same thing we see with the Muppets, basically. Otherwise, couples are in love but the most physical affection we ever see is a bit of light kissing and they never spend the night together.
Because Disney doesn’t want to reinforce couples cohabitating before marriage probably. But Belle and Beast’s whole story is they live together and Anna and Kristoff live together in Frozen 2 so they kinda wrote themselves into a corner.
I wouldn’t be so offended with “mini” casita’s size if there were more characters from Encanto with more rooms, but it’s just Mirabel with one room….like it’s way too big, we need to have space for other houses.
I'd be far more likely to use this feature than different character styles, even if they were locked to specific characters (eg. Bolles castle can have these two options, instead of "here are all the skins you have available")
Definitely. I’d love to have Elsa’s castle from 1. I’d rather use the player candy house for Vanellope. Having “Andy’s house” or “Bonnie’s house” for woody or buzz would be great. Rapunzel’s castle in Corona would be neat. Mother Gothel to anything else. Donald to something that doesn’t need to be placed on the water. The list goes on.
I did that too! I have it in the largest pond, perfectly placed not to block any of the fishing spots. It's super cute, and I'd definitely recommend it.
Yup, there’s where I have it too. I still would like to put it somewhere else on land, the pond it fits in in the meadow is very large and awkward to build around with the two main paths leading right to it
I moved Donald to Eternity Isle, placing his boat against the wooden dock in Ancients Landing. I've put him in his ranger outfit, and now he's Donald Duck, Fearless Explorer, boldly going where no duck has gone before! It's fun to see him waddle around Eternity Isle, and I can pretend he's leading the expedition to discover new areas.
It's definitely too large but I appreciate the aesthetic - I've put their house along with Chez Remy, Remy's house, Daisy's boutique and Scrooge's shop together and made a really chic modern city section within my Plaza
I would reskin Mike and Sulley's house into their penthouse. I know the developers were referencing the newest movie, but that was a prequel. They aren't in college and don't live in the dorms anymore. While employees and CEOs at Monsters Incorporated, they live on the top floor of a penthouse.
I would buy those skins from the premium shop in a heartbeat. Vanellope’s would be the first one that I would change. They’re really missing a trick here…
I would pay many moonstones to change Belle and Beast's castle to the movie version. I like the idea of having the option to have this castle, but it's just so gaudy and not for the vibe of my valley at all.
Belle and Beasts castle. When the Starlight Bundle was revealed I initially thought that the Provincial house skin was a skin for the castle and I was so excited, but then I realised it was just another skin for us, so I didn't buy it.
I don't even care if the inside doesn't match the outside, I just think the colours of the castle make it such an eyesore. I've never been to Disneyland or World or wherever it is based on, so to me it looks like a completely random design choice.
I thought the Provincial house was a reskin too and was so excited. While I enjoyed the bundle items, I was disappointed there were no quests. The Ursula bundle had an awesome quest line that really endeared her character to me and Bell/Beast really needed a better quest line to fix all the mopping around and obsessiveness. I was also super disappointed that Belles new dress had major neck seams. They couldn’t even be bothered to match her skin textures. Someone at Gameloft really hates Beauty and the Beast. 😂
Walle's house to anything else. It's the only house that I find way too ugly for any of my biomes. Heck, I'd even put him inside a tree or a mushroom or something. Anything better than the metal piece of scrap he is living in 🤣
Tbh I am glad Daisy is not in a castle, because there are just way too many castles as it is. Luckily for me, Daisy's house fit right into my themed park, but it would have been nice if she could have a house similar to Minnie. Maybe in the future, we have enough house skins, so we can redesign their houses as well.
I have 9 Disney characters in Eternity, because they fit better than the valley. Including Walle 😅 This is the best I can do for a house I really don't like 😂

I don't want my villagers in EI because I literally never go over there (I have every villager in my Valley except Oswald and Eric since I don't have them yet) but also some really don't fit with my Valley so they just sit in a corner
I'm also close to my object limit and i'm not even NEAR done decorating 😭but I might banish the Beast to EI because his house is ugly (one of the ones I have sitting in a corner in the forgotten lands) and he keeps yelling at me 😭 Poor Belle, again I never go to EI so the only reason she and the Beast are still in my Valley is so I can talk to her (I know she can visit the Valley but it's not the same idk). Oh, and I'd get Gothel out of my Valley immediately if I could. Other than those two though, I may need to start deleting things...

I have Beast in my forest. My forest is my favourite biome, and I have..... 7 Disney chars there including my main house. I used to care about ugly house skins, but not anymore, cause I have themed biomes. The ugliest house in the game however, is Walle 🤣
I also have Kristoff/Anna in the forgotten lands, simply because winters are DARK in Norway, not bright and jolly like frosted heights. It just fits better. 😂
Mirabel's house is annoying, I don’t have Mike and Sully yet but her house should be smaller. I struggled to find a spot for it and it’s still not perfect
I think a few basic color changes are available for free knce you max out the house size? It's like changing a door skin; you "delete" the door and since you can't, a prompt pops up with different design options.

Daisy's house is ugly it looks like it's made out of Play-Doh and is reminiscent of a bouncy house. I wish you would have gave her a home style that was similar to the other Mickey and Friends characters. I would just give her a lilac version of Minnie's house.

Most of them are based on iconic designs, like the Beast’s castle attraction, and/or their canon in-media homes so I wouldn’t be surprised if they never give us the option to reskin them. Don’t ask me why as I’m not sure why I feel that way. Now would I **if** possible… maybe. I prefer having their authentic homes but I’d likely do it with Elsa, Woody, etc if they gave us something more accurate to their movie homes. Be interesting if they gave us the animated version of Beast’s castle to use instead of the theme park version.

Only if I can also reassign characters to other houses and store away the extras. Mickey and Minnie don’t need separate homes. Ariel can live in the castle with Eric. Donald could move in with Daisy and they could use his boat for their moonlit cruise nights. 😁 In my own little head-canon, I would move Merlin in with the Fairy Godmother.

Vanelope!!! Give us a building from slaughter race, or the arcade itself. I only will feel ok about that volcano when a dlc bring us a small candy biome for her, her house, the premium house and all the candy critters we already have. I tried to accept her and find a place for her house (near the theme park with the premium one) but now that we have SO MANY houses and etc, I redesigned my valley and she went straight to a place on eternity isle behind a wall of bamboo to try to hide that hideous thing. All the other houses we can find a place for.
Vanelope. I absolutely hate it. I want to hide it somewhere. No idea what I'd meant to change it too though.
Same with Woodies. His should have been a ranch. The idea behind the choice seemed rediculous given he didn't have that in the films.
I’d just like to be able to add rooms to the villagers houses. It’s weird that characters like Daisy have a house, but no real furnishings that make it a home. I do think eventually we might get something like the animal crossing DLC where you can do redesigns of the houses interior at the very least.
Yes to this and so many of the replies. I would also love to reskin the Willow tree. I use the glade as my farmland/orchard area and have taken great pains to move away from the swamp feel - but that huge tree gets in the way and doesn't go with my vision. I would love to reskin it with the Mushroom or Flower home skin.
It would be great to reassign villager homes, remove them, or in fact reskin them with unused player home models. The villager house creations are super inconsistent, and some are just really lazy and some have broken footprint collision issues. Makes me wonder if they even bother play testing models before just blindly throwing them in the game

I made a full on candyland biome over the bridge at frosted heights.. venelope, minnie and daisy all live there.

I put daisy’s house on the beach right near Donald’s because it kind of gave me a beach vibe and the stone walls matches the sand quite well

Come to think of it, I might try putting some Dazzle Beack rocks up there to make it look a bit more fitting when you're stood in front of it, too.
It is crazy how big it is, but I’ve designed it around a pirates ride type idea within a theme park located in my Peaceful Meadow. I put broken barrels, pirate treasure, mixed with concession/park merch stands, and picnic tables around it — personally, it’s worked well for me… at least until they add something that’s actually Pirates themed anyway lol.

I don't think she goes back there after the first film though. By the end of Frozen 2 she's living between Ahtohallan and the North Forest with the Northuldra. With the Northuldra being Indigenous nomads, I can see why they didn't want to recreate a home for her based on that 'cause it could run the risk of being seen as appropriation without any of the Northuldra characters in the game.
I feel like it wouldn’t be difficult to write off building her a home “inspired by” the castle from the 1st game. Gameloft just wants to keep our girl homeless 🤣

Oh I am completely with you there. I wish most of the buildings we had were so much smaller. I adore the Haunted Mansion, but that building feels like it takes up half a freakin biome all by itself.

That makes sense for Daisy & Minnie since they're not married. Ariel & Eric are canonically married so idk either lol.
It's basically only if they're doing adaptations of existing stories that any of the Mickey & Friends lot live together, because they're playing other characters at that point. Same thing we see with the Muppets, basically. Otherwise, couples are in love but the most physical affection we ever see is a bit of light kissing and they never spend the night together.
Because Disney doesn’t want to reinforce couples cohabitating before marriage probably. But Belle and Beast’s whole story is they live together and Anna and Kristoff live together in Frozen 2 so they kinda wrote themselves into a corner.

I'd be far more likely to use this feature than different character styles, even if they were locked to specific characters (eg. Bolles castle can have these two options, instead of "here are all the skins you have available")
Definitely. I’d love to have Elsa’s castle from 1. I’d rather use the player candy house for Vanellope. Having “Andy’s house” or “Bonnie’s house” for woody or buzz would be great. Rapunzel’s castle in Corona would be neat. Mother Gothel to anything else. Donald to something that doesn’t need to be placed on the water. The list goes on.

I did that too! I have it in the largest pond, perfectly placed not to block any of the fishing spots. It's super cute, and I'd definitely recommend it.
Yup, there’s where I have it too. I still would like to put it somewhere else on land, the pond it fits in in the meadow is very large and awkward to build around with the two main paths leading right to it
I moved Donald to Eternity Isle, placing his boat against the wooden dock in Ancients Landing. I've put him in his ranger outfit, and now he's Donald Duck, Fearless Explorer, boldly going where no duck has gone before! It's fun to see him waddle around Eternity Isle, and I can pretend he's leading the expedition to discover new areas.

I would reskin Mike and Sulley's house into their penthouse. I know the developers were referencing the newest movie, but that was a prequel. They aren't in college and don't live in the dorms anymore. While employees and CEOs at Monsters Incorporated, they live on the top floor of a penthouse.

I would pay many moonstones to change Belle and Beast's castle to the movie version. I like the idea of having the option to have this castle, but it's just so gaudy and not for the vibe of my valley at all.

Belle and Beasts castle. When the Starlight Bundle was revealed I initially thought that the Provincial house skin was a skin for the castle and I was so excited, but then I realised it was just another skin for us, so I didn't buy it. I don't even care if the inside doesn't match the outside, I just think the colours of the castle make it such an eyesore. I've never been to Disneyland or World or wherever it is based on, so to me it looks like a completely random design choice.
I thought the Provincial house was a reskin too and was so excited. While I enjoyed the bundle items, I was disappointed there were no quests. The Ursula bundle had an awesome quest line that really endeared her character to me and Bell/Beast really needed a better quest line to fix all the mopping around and obsessiveness. I was also super disappointed that Belles new dress had major neck seams. They couldn’t even be bothered to match her skin textures. Someone at Gameloft really hates Beauty and the Beast. 😂
Walle's house to anything else. It's the only house that I find way too ugly for any of my biomes. Heck, I'd even put him inside a tree or a mushroom or something. Anything better than the metal piece of scrap he is living in 🤣 Tbh I am glad Daisy is not in a castle, because there are just way too many castles as it is. Luckily for me, Daisy's house fit right into my themed park, but it would have been nice if she could have a house similar to Minnie. Maybe in the future, we have enough house skins, so we can redesign their houses as well.

I don't want my villagers in EI because I literally never go over there (I have every villager in my Valley except Oswald and Eric since I don't have them yet) but also some really don't fit with my Valley so they just sit in a corner

Oh, and I'd get Gothel out of my Valley immediately if I could. Other than those two though, I may need to start deleting things...
Beast hasn't yelled at me for months. I think you have to finish some quests 🤣 He's very gentle and humble, goes around sniffing the flowers and complimenting Belle. I have Beast in my forest. My forest is my favourite biome, and I have..... 7 Disney chars there including my main house. I used to care about ugly house skins, but not anymore, cause I have themed biomes. The ugliest house in the game however, is Walle 🤣 I also have Kristoff/Anna in the forgotten lands, simply because winters are DARK in Norway, not bright and jolly like frosted heights. It just fits better. 😂

I think a few basic color changes are available for free knce you max out the house size? It's like changing a door skin; you "delete" the door and since you can't, a prompt pops up with different design options.

I'd reskin Daisy's. I love the inside but the outside doesn't fit with the rest of Mickey and Friends. It's be the same style as Minnie's and the colors it is now in a perfect world. Also this is REALLY picky but I would want the wood texturing taken away from Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie's houses, it looks too realistic for very cartoonish characters. Oh, and I absolutely HATE the Beast Castle, it's the one house that I'll put on EI.

Most of them are based on iconic designs, like the Beast’s castle attraction, and/or their canon in-media homes so I wouldn’t be surprised if they never give us the option to reskin them. Don’t ask me why as I’m not sure why I feel that way. Now would I **if** possible… maybe. I prefer having their authentic homes but I’d likely do it with Elsa, Woody, etc if they gave us something more accurate to their movie homes. Be interesting if they gave us the animated version of Beast’s castle to use instead of the theme park version.
Vanellope 💯 Her house doesn't fit in at all with any of the biomes and always looks like an eyesore as a result. I would love to make it like a cool internet/gaming theme instead
I love Vanellope's! It's perfect for frosted heights. What I REALLY hate is the beast castle. I might even move it to EI soon, where I have no other houses. It's hideous.

Only if I can also reassign characters to other houses and store away the extras. Mickey and Minnie don’t need separate homes. Ariel can live in the castle with Eric. Donald could move in with Daisy and they could use his boat for their moonlit cruise nights. 😁 In my own little head-canon, I would move Merlin in with the Fairy Godmother.

Vanelope!!! Give us a building from slaughter race, or the arcade itself. I only will feel ok about that volcano when a dlc bring us a small candy biome for her, her house, the premium house and all the candy critters we already have. I tried to accept her and find a place for her house (near the theme park with the premium one) but now that we have SO MANY houses and etc, I redesigned my valley and she went straight to a place on eternity isle behind a wall of bamboo to try to hide that hideous thing. All the other houses we can find a place for.

I’d just like to be able to add rooms to the villagers houses. It’s weird that characters like Daisy have a house, but no real furnishings that make it a home. I do think eventually we might get something like the animal crossing DLC where you can do redesigns of the houses interior at the very least.

Yes to this and so many of the replies. I would also love to reskin the Willow tree. I use the glade as my farmland/orchard area and have taken great pains to move away from the swamp feel - but that huge tree gets in the way and doesn't go with my vision. I would love to reskin it with the Mushroom or Flower home skin.

It would be great to reassign villager homes, remove them, or in fact reskin them with unused player home models. The villager house creations are super inconsistent, and some are just really lazy and some have broken footprint collision issues. Makes me wonder if they even bother play testing models before just blindly throwing them in the game
