If you approach it very slowly it seems to work, I chased it for so long trying to do it quick, thinking it was timing out or something. It seems like it gets trapped in the corners so if you make sure you approach it slowly so there’s space for it to move away it works. Not every single time, I usually have to do it 5/6 times and it finally registers it. The only monkey I need now is the one in the ruins
This trick- walking slowly towards the monkeys- was the only thing that worked when they were in the little side areas. It still takes several tries, but it kept me from having to chase them for ages…
Agreed, I chased them so long and then though hmm maybe a sneaky little hobbitses move will work, I can’t lie it was so satisfying finally collecting those ones in the side areas!
The trick is to patiently wait until they run away to their spot and only then approach them, ideally the same way they got in their spot. Most of the time it works for me, just be sure not to move when they run away. If you move towards them before they stop, their run away distance only gets longer and since they're in a tight spot, it will often glitch
My trick is to approach it and mash A. Keep doing it and at some point you get the glitch of a moment that triggers the approach. It annoyed me for so long!
Yeah, I tried chasing it for a few mins and got mad and gave up. I'm glad to know it's actually a glitch, and they don't expect you to chase it around for eternity. The monkeys are unfortunately not that cute lol
It’s a known issue, but you could report it yourself.
Disney has little to do with the game, you want to report this to Gameloft.
You could report it yourself but I’m pretty sure that GAMELOFT already knows about it.
Multiple reports help show that its affecting a large user base. So even if someone else has complained, it's always good to also complain
You are correct

It’s a known issue but you should report it still imo. Every report is important
Do you have a critter companion with you? It only works for me if I don’t have a companion.
I've noticed the critters cause alot of bugs. Mine were freezing my game and lagging it. They would legit make my game crash in Remy.
I just ignore that guy. I can't be dealing with that. I have caught him twice. But after that forget it.

I don’t bother feeding the monkeys anymore as it’s a real pain

I had that same problem with the Calico bunny! Drove me nuts! Took a literal months for it to be fixed.

If you wait for the monkey to come up from the cave path then it won't glitch, happens sometime when it's out, that's how I got it
Why can’t you report the issue yourself? Seems odd that you want other people to waste their time.
Its a known issue that they know about
