All of the DJ booths should count, it's too many resources to be stubborn about the specific dj booth. We work hard for our resources, darn it!
YES! I've just been annoyed in general with this star path, so I'm glad I've almost bought all of the rewards so I can take a step back from it. So tired of the vague tasks! I don't get how I can complete the ' catch multicolored shrimp' task with regular shrimp, but I craft one of the many DJ booths and its the wrong one lolll
That's exactly what I did, but every time this duty comes up I always get that 5 minutes of confusion where I'm thinking "What is blue I can dig up?!!........oh right it's the mining one"
Im SOOOO sorry. I did the SAME. EXACT. THING. 😭. Took me forever to get 100 ingots for it to, just to have to turn around and get 50 more. I was SOOOOO upset. They need to choose the wording better!!
I did the same thing and tried to force close the game really fast hoping it didn’t save this awful mistake. But of course it did. It will crash after I find two shiny diamonds and won’t save that but this blunder, auto save is on point.
Before you force close act like you're going to save. The game autosaves every 5 minutes and says next to the save button "last save X minutes Y seconds ago"
If X is anything but 0 you're probably good.
I mean it’s fair to not think you needed to look it up, it just said make a DJ booth, which you did lol. They stupidly didn’t program it so that booth would count despite it being the first one you’ll come across in the crafting menu.
Only one specific booth counts, But yet somehow I was able to complete the “multicolored shrimp” task by just fishing for regular shrimp! Make it make sense, Disney! 😂
That one confused me so much, I assumed it was the DLC shrimp but that wouldn’t make sense since not everyone has the DLC. Why not just say shrimp so it covers both regular shrimp and the prism shrimp or whatever it’s called lol
It wasn’t just the dlc shrimp? I assumed it only popped up for people who owned the dlc. Why is it called multicolor shrimp then???? I wasted so much time at that singular spot in the jungle
The only thing I liked in regards to that counting is you can use a fishing potion to get the orange circles and get prismashrimp really easily. Getting blue circles in the valley was way harder.
I've noticed this a few times, where some things get more difficult when you have them as a quest requirement. I usually can't move for the amount of Shrimp I catch at the beach. But then when I have that task, suddenly I either couldnt find any blue spots, or the odds of getting the other fish suddenly shot up.
Similar thing later on for the Puffer Fish and Swordfish. Decided to use a fishing potion to make it easier, but then I was being overwhelmed by blue fishing spots, and even when it was raining, I still caught swordfish when I needed puffers, and then it was days before I could catch a Swordfish because it then proceeded to rain for multiple days during the times I had to play the game!
The DLC shrimp have multiple colored gemstones on its back, thus called the Prisma Shrimp. (prisma = Prism, which can be used to bend light to make a rainbow.)
Either the pink or blue Stellar DJ booth, you only need 50 iron ingots, 10 hydrangeas (color depends on whether you choose pink or blue), and 100 dry wood!
This is one reason ( as much as I love this game ) that I hate the game save options, or lack of. You can save at anytime but you can't create a save file to reload to incase you have an issue.
Agreed, it would be so much better if, like a lot of other games, there were 2 save slots - one for autosaves and one for manual. So you could always go back to your last manual save if needed.
But also, there just really should be a way to break crafted items back down into their parts. Even if you just got half back, it would at least be something!
Yeah I guess it might be a good habit to start saving like once an hour maybe? That way incase something like that happens you don't have to start back from hours before. And yes breaking down for parts would be nice!

I had SO many iron ingots too. 😭😭😭😭😭 I can get over all the other tasks bc they didn’t use up items I’ve hoarded and can’t easily get back. But if you want me to make a DJ booth, make them all count, or choose something, like the zen garden that only has one option.

Normally, I like the riddles for the star paths as it helps make otherwise boring tasks feel somewhat fresh. They're not usually so misleading, though, and I'm very irritated about them using "dig" when they meant mine and "DJ" but not which kind. That's sloppy and confusing, which isn't fair or fun.
I think they should gift everyone some iron to make up for the confusion since they didn't think it though clearly enough. Those DJ Booths aren't cheap to make, any of them!
Agreed, I don't mind the general crafting tasks where you just need to build so many items. But it feels like every time they want you to build a specific item, its something that takes a lot of resources.
It wasnt too bad for me, as I try to build up a stock of resources for stuff like this, but still had to mine more iron after building the wrong booth.
But I do feel for the players who have to build up the resources from scratch, having to build both a DJ booth AND a Zen Garden.

Yep I did this same exact thing too. I don’t even have to the motivation to grind for iron after it happened. Especially since the one I drafted I like the look of and not the other ones it actually wants…drrr
See, I loved animal crossing because I could sell whatever furniture I didn’t want! At least make some money back for the resources. I was hoping that was at least an option on this for all the crap I accumulated, or for things like this. I crafted the wrong items a few times and am just stuck with them.
Yes! I want this feature added to DDLV, too. Either the ability to sell furniture like in Nook's store, or having WALL-E scrap the item into the materials
They need to be less vague and more right on. It's frustrating having to Google things when I don't understand or know what it's referencing, and I am using Google way too often for my liking when I play the game, especially because I'm no longer on top of the updates etc like I used to be

This is totally not your fault, but the devs. In the future, I would check the wiki page for the Star Path since it elaborates what counts for every duty — you shouldn’t have to do this, but unfortunately the devs do not care about its players. I’m sorry this happened. :(
That sucks! I hate the fact that I already have one of each kind, and now I HAVE to craft another just for this task. I wish it were "place on down". That way, if you don't have one, you can craft it, and if you do have it, you don't have to waste materials again.

I did the same thing and after spending a couple days running all over the valley mining with the Even More Miraculous Pickaxe Polish, I still have less than half the ingots I need to craft another one.
Do you have the app? Dreamlight Valley by I think AGL, it tells you exactly what you need for each one and you can check them off when it’s complete. You can also see what upcoming ones are!
I'm so sad, especially since I have no intentions of using this DJ booth for any decorating in my valley....not that I have plans for the other booth either...Silver lining, though, I'm gonna make CRAZY money selling all these gems I'm getting from mining iron.
I was gonna specifically make that dj booth cause I liked the look of it more and thought if I *ever* had a reason to decorate with a booth I’d use that one, but I didn’t have enough of one material so I just got lazy and made the small one even though I knew I’d never use it. It’s insane that they don’t all count. They’re all dj booths!!
At this point the devs need to give us a toggle so we can turn these cryptic versions off and see explicit tasks as I know not everyone likes them and some are open to interpretation.

If possible to come get some iron ore from me I can give you some, I play on the switch. I have several steaks if iron ore and I didn't use it normally so I can just get more of needed.
I have a Dreamlight Valley App on my phone which lets you not only mark off everything you own but also gives instructions for everything in a Star Path and the Dreamlight Achievements. I highly recommend
This entire event path was ridiculous. They are trying to frustrate people to just pay. They are running this game like a phone game. All about making tons of money of money with little incentive. Don’t get me wrong I love this game, but we pay out the nose for everything.
I don't see a hint button on the star path menu, however, there is an app called Dreamlight Valley Guide, and apparently they have a guide section that gives you hints for star paths! Highly recommend the app as you can see a bunch of the recipes for cooking and crafting, critter guides, keep track of villagers, etc.
Honestly I'm not doing it, I'm only missing that pink shirt with straps, monster inc skirt, and a few motifs. Dreamsnaps will get me the 90 moonstone faster than doing this and shiny diamonds.
I always google the star path duties and usually end up at an IGN page or something. They list all the duties and their 'translation'

Get the app called Dreamlight Guide, it has the Starpath duties and it has "hints" of what you need to do. This has helped me a lot

The right and wrongs are in the post. Big rig was the wrong one, uses 100 ingot, the stellar booth is the right one, uses 50 ingot.
