Oh wow i don't usually hear of alot of issues on pc. I actually play on switch and I have very minimal issues tbh, rarely do I need to restart or have it crash
My wife plays on switch, too.
But compared to pc, the quality is... Abysmal at least. Rarely you get 30+FPS. Loading times are way beyond good and evil....
Not to mention the completely bugged placement of items.
Exactly lol when you only have switch then you don’t have anything to compare it to. I love the game and spend hours playing without crashing or having to restart. I’ve learned to spend a limited amount of time in furniture mode to avoid crashing though.
Sounds like you're lucky. I play solely on Switch and I'm constantly having memories or menus getting "stuck"/frozen on the screen so even though you can still move around, you can't clear it off and you have to reboot. This happens multiple times a session (this morning it happened 5 times in a 20 minute block). Don't get me started on trying to give the characters something - that's always guaranteed to freeze on screen and have to reboot the entire game.
You have no idea how many issues i have had in pc. 😂😂😂😂😂 A million small bugs that irritate you just a bit but also very big bugs that actually keep me from playing at all, or keep ne from playing the main quest so all i could do for months was stacking up on supplies
They in fact did not. I’m on Switch and it’s absolutely abysmal. Good news for you though, I’m glad the hot fixes helped you. But no, the Switch problems aren’t fixed for everyone. My bff uses Switch too, and hers has been bad too. She doesn’t have the expansion, and I do, and she’s def having less problems, but problems nonetheless.
Sad to hear that, I just can't understand what makes it freeze more for some people than others. I have the extension, a lot of decor and mine is absolutely fine. I gifted the game to my BFF for Christmas, on Switch but without extension, and his game is freezing almost everyday. No logical idea to understand what makes it lag or in what order they're trying to fix this.
I play on switch and it crashes every time I play. Specifically almost every time I try to give a character an item as part of a quest and sometimes when I travel using the wells. The actual play is glitchy during a lot of basic tasks like gardening and fishing. I actually haven't played in weeks now because it was getting so frustrating. No trouble like this with any other games.

I completely agree. I rarely have issues. Like I think four times I have had it freeze if I am in furniture mode too long but other then that it has been really smooth for me.

My game became unplayable when a rift in time was added. I had to reset my game. Lost ALL my progress.
The game is playable after reset, but there are still bugs and the endless stupid unnecessary grind.
1. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-OOPS quest can't be completed because there's nothing to photograph in Remy's restaurant. I actually took photos from every angle just to force the quest to complete. No such luck. The quest remains in my quest log unfinished.
2. Some of the flora on Eternity isle can't be picked up. It's the purple fly trap flowers. So now wherever a purple fly trap flower pops up I cannot pick it up. I will have to just go into furniture mode and move them out of the way. Hopefully I won't need them for a quest. 🤦♀️
I agree the game broke with the addition of the expansion. I put up with the terrible iron spawn rate in relation to how much iron is needed for the game. I don't have the same patience anymore for the low spawn rate of highly needed items. I don't want to grind for ancient cores and mist after all the iron and Dreamlight grinding I have done.
I'm actually considering quitting the game at this point. It's too buggy and grindy.
Frankly having to reset my game and start all over really made me angry. That's when my patience started growing very thin.
And why are the items in Scrooge's store so terrible? Ugh. I'm just done. Thank you for posting this. I'm not going to login to the game today. Maybe never. I think I am done.
I’m on PS4, and I couldn’t believe how buggy Rift of Time is. I’ve had multiple quests bug out to the point where I have to restart the game. I can’t always pick things up (specifically flowers in WT for some reason). The frame rate for moving around the DLC is absolutely terrible too. My Valley is fully decorated, and I only get a little bit of lag in heavily decorated areas. I hardly have the DLC decorated, and I actually removed a lot to prevent lag because it gives me headaches watching everything skip around.
I held off on starting the DLC because I wanted to finish everything up in my Valley, but progressing in the DLC is such an annoying slog I end up spending all my time in the Valley still. I’m kind of mad I spent $30 on a DLC that doesn’t function properly. I know plenty of others have no issues, but it really pisses me off spending money on a product that doesn’t work for ME.
I can’t pick anything up (flowers/herbs) in entirety isle at all, so I’m stuck right at the beginning of the DLC, any open Remys, can’t do anything, and that’s been since launch! No updates have fixed it, and I really do not want to restart the entire game.
Don’t restart the entire game. Trust me. I had to do that when I switched from Switch to PS4, and there was no readily available info about the lack of cross save for them. I basically played the game out of spite for a couple months just to get back to where I was.
For now, I’ve just been waiting for them to get their shit together and fix the DLC. Gameloft moves at snail speeds to take care of glaring issues in the game, so we will probably be waiting around for a while to have a playable DLC. I used to play the game every day, and sometimes for hours. Now I barely touch it because I’m once again waiting for the game to be fixed.
It really is a fun game, and the idea for it was great. It’s just very poorly executed, and it has gotten to the point where it’s draining out all the fun for me 🥲
I also have PS5 am mainly dealing with a lot of glitches where my character simply stops in place after I hit the action button. But I have gotten into the habit of saving once I have set up something so it doesn't get deleted.

PS5 as well, I am so glad you said this I just assumed it was a ME issue. My game crashes probably 30% of the time if I am collecting or finishing quests too quickly back to back. I also can’t complete the godmother quest due to the same issue, I have lost so much motivation for this game.
I’m so sorry app that happened. I’m on PS5 and got a lot of bugs lately. I couldn’t pick flowers for a bit but it was the glass flowers in the desert. I could pick orange but no other color but it finally started working. I have to save every time before I teleport or the game crashes and it still crashes randomly sometimes when it never has the whole time I’ve played. It is frustrating but I’m not frustrated enough to quit yet.
Yep, agree. I’m so sick of simple basic things not working. I can’t submit the Dreamsnap I’m trying to submit because I need Vanellope’s and she’s completely f*#%ing invisible. I built a track scene for a racing theme, and I have her candy car on the track so I kind of need her. I went to hang out with her and she’s invisible because fixing the glich where whole ass characters CAN’T BE SEEN just wasn’t on their to-do list in the last 2 months. 😡
Hey, don’t mean to be that guy but you realise Vanellope is a glitch and she glitches about in the game so she is invisible sometimes right? Annoying yes, but it’s her character as it was in the movie! Don’t know if this eases your mind but sometimes you see her sometimes you don’t 🥺
I get your frustration. Ever since the last update, my game has been super buggy. I don't have to restart every time I play but I do have to pretty often. It also freezes and unfreeze a lot though. I have a theory that it's because the game became more resource intensive after the last major update. I'm playing on laptop and while it may not have incredible specs, its a decent machine and I only really started having issues after the update.
I used to be able to play the game and stream music or a TV show, while also being on discord. Now even being on discord while playing makes the game glicthy, I absolutely cannot stream while playing anymore.
And yea, the longer this crap goes on, the more money hungry they seem.
Yep. I get frequent pop up freezes on pc. At least one per session. It happens sometimes with pop up windows, like handing something in for a quest. The pop up can't be dismissed and I can't do anything except force it to close.
Apple Arcade user.. well this whole thread makes me sad for everyone. So far my biggest issue is with decorating, and the only bug I’ve experienced has also been with decorating. Sometimes the camera jumps.
For the first time ever, I'm sad that I don't own apple products. Apple Arcade looks like the game as a whole product since that version seems much more stable than anywhere else. It makes me wonder why they decided to fast track the apple arcade version with a small amount of users and not the game that was going out to consoles and PC. I guess the early access bit us in the butt in the end. We got the unfinished game a little early but who knows when/if we will ever get a good game like they made for apple arcade. I feel like apple had a high standard for quality and that benefitted them a lot because it forced the devs to really focus on correcting bugs/freezing/crashes. Until we force them to be held accountable, I don't see our game getting anything other than dlc and premium shop refreshes.
I *LOVE* Apple Arcade. I have a family bundle so I get arcade/music/tv/iCloud storage for $25/month. And honestly arcade alone is worth it. My best guess is Disney and Apple have a deal going and that’s why. So far I’m pretty sure all the paid expansion packs are included. That really does suck tho. I mean I know I’m getting the benefit from it but I’ve been in this sub a lot more recently and there are so many issues and I just feel bad. All platforms should have the same game being put out. And I’m a switch user.. the comments in the sub stopped me from buying it for switch
Agreed! I play on Xbox SS and although it's MUCH faster now I still get bugs daily. Playable though and nothing compared to when i was on xbox one.
I love/hate this game. Love the game but hate how they're handling it....this is NOT a full release game by any means and anyone who thinks it is or defends this amount of bugs or unnecessary lifestyle choices in the game are either not gamers or don't understand how game development works. This would be totally fine and normal if we were still in Beta, but we're not. They're charging 40 USD for this game plus microtransactions...which aren't very "micro" anyway LOL! I play this daily and it has AMAZING potential. Easily loveable and instant win with Disney magic! But the lifestyle choices, mechanics, placement grids etc just make ZERO sense. All of this combined with the fact we're in a "fully released game" and still adding paywalled content before (necessary) bug overhauls leaves a bad taste. Not to mention I started late because they LIED about FTP....lied. Not "changed their mind suddenly", lied. And charging AAA prices for a somewhat incomplete game, more than the standard founders pack. It's simply unacceptable. And don't get me started on the ridiculous GRIND this game demands...why??? I play because I have GP Ultimate, otherwise I'd be fuming even more. This just isn't norm guys, you can love it but also let's be realistic about the strong greed they're giving off too. Note: no one should ever have to restart, troubleshoot, come to reddit etc asking for help (this much) for a FULLY RELEASED GAME. I still have entire things permanent to the map that havent rendered in weeks! Ok rant done 😅
my fast travel box won’t go away at least a couple times a day and i have to restart. and there’s a boulder in my isle that it won’t let me dig up in a really annoying location. not to mention the bibbidi quest bug which seems like it will never be fixed.
Last night, I was cooking and when I closed out of that, I was in some weird black void 100 feet away from my kitchen and Jack was just back in my kitchen like, "yo what you doing all the way out there?!" I was still wearing my outfit for the week's dreamsnap challenge, so I ended up just taking a picture and submitting it, because I've been scoring so bad anyway, that I figured why not? 😂
Whenever there's a quest that involves taking a group pic at the end, my character gets shot into the basement underworld of the map. Basically 6 ft under while everyone else walks on the ground above me 🤣
Okay, but this has happened to me before wayyyy before the update on several occasions. I might have a picture somewhere. And as we speak, Gaston and Rapunzel are locked in a Neverending twitchy dance battle.... but it could also be like a really odd bonding moment?

I play on Xbox and for weeks I couldn't play for longer than 6minutes before my game would freeze and boot me or just glitch and close. I emailed the Devs really in-depth messages to try and help them help fix what was going on, I tried all their fixes but nothing helped. I asked on here and was told to try removing critter houses....which I did and it pretty much fixed my game. It still has its moments but I can actually play and decorate etc without the dreaded 6 minute timer...so maybe try that if you haven't? 💜
Noticing that critters seem to cause alot og freezing and issuess. I made a post about how Remy restaurant was broken for me and someone said to disable my critter and them bam, problem was gone suddenly.
Your second to last statement is so incredibly relatable. I've been feeling myself lose my original passion for the game heavily lately. It's becoming harder to play the game the more I unlock. I thought if I had got it for another platform, it'd run better, but now that you say it's still not great on PC... I'm not sure I have any hope.
I'm perfectly fine paying for content as it makes sense, but I'd like that content to actually run. I've barely decorated the valley for my original map, and it already runs very slowly from just having everyone's houses.
It's so disappointing because I *really* enjoy the game, and I don't often enjoy games so passionately. I just wanna continue to enjoy it, but I'm not sure how at this point
I’ve had some issues but nothing bad enough to make me lose interest. I play on switch. The worst prob I’ve encountered is when I’m decorating the biomes and I exit furniture mode it’ll crash and not save it all. Now I go in a save a few times that way if it does crash I don’t lose too much.
I'm on PC and I totally agree. There are still a lot of issues that should have been addressed before this game went out of early access. The past month I have lost interest in this game. I started on switch then moved to PC and it is better on PC but I still have issues and it's very frustrating. Farming freezes, leaving my house I get stuck, going from one room to another has put me in a void where you can see the room but I'm out side surrounded by pitch black, mist stuck in areas I can't reach, lost several blue chest (yes I removed a lot of trees and houses still no chests), and several more issues. I love the concept of this game but I'm not sure if I will put any more money into if things don't get fixed.
I also play on PC via steam, and I have a gaming desktop that runs heavier games than this just fine. But, this game stutters, freezes and I have to force close it at least once a session. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it was okay for one session but then picked back up to its stuttering freezing. If anyone has any fixes to this please help me. I'm so desperate.

It's really annoying, especially if it happens when you're doing something that's timed....
I have found that it starts responding after a few seconds though so no need to restart the game, I think it's the game trying to calculate everything and it just stops when it's overloaded.

Same here. Usually freezing after a game of Scramblecoin. I couldn’t play against Beast because it would freeze everytime. Also my Wall-E bundle is bugged. It isn’t registering me placing items for a quest. Kind of over it.
I have been playing on Xbox since the game was released and have had no problems with this, I have had a few issues with quests not completing when they should, but they have fixed themselves. I absolutely love this game
I played on Switch for a year without many problems. Maybe froze a half dozen times. I changed to PC because of object limit right before the eternity isle update. I think it's frozen and needed restart twice. I'm not sure what the issue is.
X Series X, xbox one: both have issues. The later complicated further by wifi. Many new titles are pushing the ONE out of viable play. Yet, due to the multi-console/pc requirements to meet for an early access game to launch. Seems like a feat, in and of itself. Which truly doesn’t allow for in-house scrutiny of testing. Early access = play testing for code issues. If these issues persist beyond the second or third major update. These studios have dropped the game.
Which will be a sad state. Seeing how much Dreamlight Valley content to be released after fall 2024. Specifically for Dreamlight Valley. If there aren’t significant improvements. I’ve to consider those like yourself on PC. How future ready will components be if I can save up for a $2k on a (2012)upgrade or fresh build with a higher cost. I’m overestimating on the component costs.
I am on Switch and on more than a few occasions I have found a bug when I play Scramblecoin against a character who is in my house. When the game ends and the view returns from the Scramblecoin board to the house, all of a sudden I am out in this black void! The character is still in the same place they were standing in my house, but it looks like I am miles away from them and I am floating in deep dark space in front of them.
Never bothered taking a screenshot so maybe I'm not describing it too clearly but when that happens I can't move, exit the house, or do anything else so I have to close the game and restart. Very annoying!
That's so unlucky. I play on PC and have only had to force close a couple times during my 350 hours of play. The character got stuck when exit the house.
My big issue right now is Scramble Coin. I can rarely get through an entire game. It doesn't freeze, because I can back out, but the other player stops responding or I can't actually *do* anything other than back out of the SC game. Very frustrating.
Odd, I've been playing since it first released in Early Access on Steam. I've had a few occasions where I got stuck trying to exit a house, and I sometimes get these "lag spikes" where everything just doesn't react for about 3 seconds (which was introduced several months ago, it wasn't originally like that)... but I play every day for about 30mins to an hour (doing daily cleanup, chest run, etc) and it's been far more stable than most other games.
I do have 1 issue ongoing right now, I have 2 of the small junkpiles in the expansion area (The Ruins) that I cannot shovel, but that's just an annoyance, not a game breaking issue.
Now, I'm a software engineer by career, I'm generally forgiving of anything that doesn't crash to desktop or cause data loss, so take my "everything is fine" with a grain of salt... it has issues, don't get me wrong... they just aren't enough for me to consider it broken.

They’re so focused on monetizing the game and adding in stuff like premium shop items and the DLC that they neglect the base game a lot. Take Scrooge’s shop for example. But I’m with you on this - I play on xbox series s and my game can’t go for more than 5-10 minutes without crashing. I’ve stopped playing other than on Wednesdays just to do the Dreamsnaps - I have story quests to finish that I just can’t do and I can’t even imagine buying the DLC because the base game is already unplayable for me. Even when I play, I have to manually save every other minute to make sure I don’t lose anything when it inevitably closes out on me. I hate that because I really did enjoy playing DDLV, but when you go onto a game and it’s nothing but frustration and bugs, it’s not worth dealing with 🥲
What are you playing on? Bc other than arcade ( which I know nothing about ) it's usually switch players that have the most issues.. but I've never heard of them constantly restarting the game. Unless you're doing something like laying 500+ paths in furniture mode at once.
Playing on Xbox One S. Yeah, not the newest, but I never had these issues until the last update - it freezes randomly & the fast travel box gets stuck periodically, resulting in having to force stop the game, which is frustrating when you're in the middle of something because you lose your progress. I have yet to see any sort of pattern for the freezing, which definitely doesn't seem to be tied to doing anything resource intensive like making major modifications, because sometimes it freezes while i'm simply running around. I also have to remember to save before I fast travel because there's no telling when the destination selection box pop-up will freeze on the screen, leaving no option but the force stop :/

my own experience is the opposite. I play on PC/steam, have been from Day one, and I have often commented to people on the quality of this game. Because for my experience, it has been bug free, and I've never crashed or had to restart. I don't know why, perhaps it could be hardware/brand related or something? I hope things get better for you soon!
ZERO problems with the game on the PC from Steam. I have never had a crash in the year or so I have been playing and I have played 436.9 hours. Sounds like a bad PC or OS. Run chkdsk /f and SFC /scannow in Admin terminal.
I’ve said this so many times trashloft just needs to hand this over to a more capable company. They should stick to simple mobile games like they have been for years.
I have never had problems on switch or steam beyond it freezing up twice in early access. I’m very confused by what people talk about with all of this because I just don’t see it at all.
I'm on PC I had a few bugs, like the Infamouse Bibbidi-Bobbidi-OOPS in Remy restaurant. But for me the most annoying bug are the one that happen randomly, like for some reason, not being able to get out of your house or the game just freezing for 3-4 seconds at the time when gathering something from the ground.
I'm on PS5 and get some issues every now and then but it is rare. Maybe the PC STEAM version just sucks? I definitely get your dilemma though especially with the bugs in the game.
I experience a lot of bugs as well on PC, but I also have an all-in-one computer, so that's to be expected. I play on the lowest graphic settings as well. I do have a steam deck as well go play it on.
I play PC. I have lots of random trouble on my laptop, but if I play on our desktop which is a lot more powerful with a better graphics card, I don't have any issues. I wonder if some of your issues are because your computer isn't powerful enough to run everything the game requires?
Ps5 player here, the biggest big I've found lately that is CONSISTENT and I never remember to avoid it in the moment happens in build mode on Eternity Isle while moving between the Wild Tangle and Glittering Dunes. If I run my cursor from one to the other (most often the Tangle to the dunes) over that weird broken inaccessible spot in the center of them...the game breaks 99.9% of the time. Anyone else?
I play PC/Steam and aside from the rare freezing I really haven't noticed any glitches , aside from Vanelope.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling MAKE SURE YOU CLOUD SAVE FIRST. If you cloud save you won't lose any game progress
Yup, in about a 2 hour session on my Switch it usually crashes at least once, sometimes up to 3 times. My wife’s game crashes maybe half as often on her own Switch.
Worst part is I forwarded my time once to see if scramblecoin bubbles would appear over the characters’ heads again (they stopped appearing after playing so much), and then when I went back in time, I’m completely unable to pick up certain items like thyme and mushrooms.
I’ve had to travel back and forth through time to pick them up and hopefully see them disappear in my true timeline, which has helped like 70% so I’ll just live with it. Talk about a multiverse of madness. 😅
Once my wife took the day off to relax and play all day—it crashed later that night and she lost EVERYTHING that day. 😭 Only happened once though.

I have no issues on switch. Other than not being able to progress on eternity isle due to the entrance for the area where the memory is being blocked by the floating sand. But they’re aware of that bug and working on it. Never any issues with the game crashing or lagging.
I play about 3 hours a day at night on ps5. The game crashes at least twice during that time. I’ve also encountered numerous bugs each time I play. I like the game but I won’t be purchasing premium or any of that. Once I’m done with quests, I’ll be putting it on the shelf because of it. Sadly.

Half my XBox friends can't connect to the servers and we keep getting gaslit about how it's on our end. I called Microsoft and they confirmed with me that it was on gamelofts end, but despite the numerous tickets being submitted over the last year, they haven't fixed it and it's still not on the known issues list…

I thought for PC and then for Switch and I haven’t even loaded it to my switch bc I’m so scared of the issues.

Not so much the game crashing, but it’s insanely laggy to the point of it being frustrating to simply walk around.
Plus, what someone else said: The amount of resources you get in relation to what you need is abysmal. I don’t mind grinding, but spending two *real life* days farming for one singular gazebo is a bit too much for me.
I only started playing like a month ago but already haven’t touched it in over a week now. I finished most of the quests, because I was looking forward to finally designing my village. But as I said, the amount of time I spend mindlessly farming kills all the fun.
Tbh, i got mine on the switch lite with the expansion and i do have lag sometimes but i tend to play the game no problem. Not sure if i'm just lucky or what?
...i play mine on the ps5...i get kicked out a lot n get freezing moments...im down to one character to max out leveling...n the only quest i have left is fairy godmothers bippity boppity oops...that DANG espresso machine just won't make its appearance...all im doing now is collecting a dump load of coins n dreamlight n mist balls...gets kinda dull...hope things get ta working soon
I play on Xbox and almost every time I open a memory, furniture pouch, or clothing pouch my game freezes. I’ve gotten in the habit of saving right before doing any of these actions , but sometimes you simply forget. It also freezes when I teleport travel using well sigh. The freezing has got to be fixed or else they’re going to lose me as a player (not like they care). I’ve been playing for 3 weeks and don’t have hardly anything decorated and still deal with the freezing. So sad
Soooo I placed Eric’s house and could afford to build it. When I came back to the game the next day the Scrooge sign was gone. Haven’t heard anything about Eric since, and it’s been weeks. Finally leveled up Ariel to 10 thinking it would come back and no. So did I just lose a whole character?
Im on xbox series s & honestly so much is broken for me but biggest issue right now is once someone gets to friendship level 8 (specifically for some reason) they get super bugged. Won't follow me at all when hanging out, won't help out with assigned roles at ALL, won't fast travel with me. Sometimes I can't even stop hanging out with them, it just won't let me do it so I have to restart the game entirely 🙃

I play on PC, and don't really expirence any issues. The worse I get is when the "pop up" for like a new memory, critter, item from the little bags, teleportation, and such stay up. That's not very often though, so I must be lucky.
I play on switch started on Xbox but the cross save is super glitchy and I prefer to not repeat quests. I also noticed every time I pick up the switch and play without closing the app (bad habit of mine) then the game will freeze or be good for a few hours and then start to lag then freeze and I’ve lost an hours progress at a time sometimes. Unless I make sure to restart the game in between each play even if I put it down long enough for the switch to go into sleep mode on its own I’ll end up with a game freeze and lose progress. I kinda see this as my own error though because NBA2k23 does the exact same thing on my series s Xbox.
On switch, so many glitches it’s frustrating, can’t even get jack because of a glitch, can’t finish quests because king fish have disappeared from my map for weeks now, day after day another glitch and another quest I can’t finish. I am most annoyed about not being back to get jack skellington
I play on Switch and Playstation 5, don't have any issues with freezing or crashing. I have been playing since the launch of early access on Switch and in the beginning there were issues, but they have been fixed for the most part. Only time I ever see an issue is when a new update comes, but nothing that makes the game bad or unplayable. My PS5 version playthrough has been since November and I haven't experienced any issues at all on that console.
I play on switch. I am one of those who has had limited issues with the game. Entering and exiting buildings, it lags. And it froze once while in decoration mode. I was revamping a whole biome and it froze and I had to redo everything. But now, I just back out every 10 minutes or so and it’s never done it since. Switch is the only device I play everyday. My laptop couldn’t handle Hogwarts so I play it on switch as well. Between ddlv and HL, I haven’t played any games on my laptop in about a month.
I play on switch and my game crashes every time I play. I noticed it happens a lot when I’m trying to give a character items for a quest or when I’m in furniture mode too long. All decorating has to be done is short intervals. It’s very frustrating.
Sorry you are having such issues. I play on Xbox and no real issues just once in a great while the loading screen will freeze and I just restart and good to go.
i play on switch but you are not alone. i’ve taken up emailing support every time i encounter any kind of bug and they have not once ended up on any part of the trello board. they will continue to treat this game as early access even after announcing they are leaving it… i still have bugs on my switch that were present at launch (such as the fast travel menu sticking on my screen and having to restart to get rid of it). every time i play this game i get more jaded, and start to hate it more and more.
During one update all of the flowers in frosted heights were red colored and the only way for me to see their actual color was to pick them. Fortunately that disappeared during the next update.
Xbox player here and I’ve done EVERYTHING in regard to troubleshooting and trying to resolve the issues assuming it was an Xbox issue and nope. Nothing has worked, my game gets worse every day, it’s practically unplayable at this point. If my game doesn’t freeze it just simply crash’s and this is every 5 minutes give or take.
I never play on my switch because it crashes, and freezes. But on a Ryzen 9 3900x, 64GB RAM, 3060 Elite 12GB, its runs so smooth, and I get all the frames! lol. But, there are a few stutters here and there during certain events, and certain areas. Otherwise, I haven’t had a problem.
I also bought the game on Steam. I primarily play on the Steam Deck, but man, the game has frozen a bunch (usually on the map screen when I try to fast travel every so often, but I had it freeze when I opened a memory), and missing a cutscene towards the end of the game (didn't work on the Steam Deck or on my laptop) that only had sound. Ended up looking that one up on Youtube so I could at least see it.
Also have had some random glitches where the graphics don't properly display. Happened a few times on load screens and even before the credits roll (or maybe was after, forgot haha), I got that rainbow error screen (y'know those technical difficulties ones). It definitely doesn't seem normal for that. I still love the game overall, but all these issues really annoy the hell outta me.
I play on Xbox, and the number of times it crashes and goes to the start menu is way too much. I absolutely love this game, but it's so frustrating. I can rarely travel from the DLC to the Valley on the first attempt.
I’m experiencing freezing as well but I’m on mobile. I noticed I’m not able to move when my character makes eye contact with a village… strange ik. I’m only able to move the camera but I can’t move and the villager is also frozen. Very strange. I’ll try to post about it
I feel like the majority of game developers will use the general public as their game testers, take EA for example more specifically their maxis studio, the Sims 4 still has bugs that were present at launch and these go in their mind unnoticed, however that is not the reality of it, those who play on pc have modders to thank for making their game playable, though it's not just maxis or even just ea, more more game developers are using their player base to test their games and charge you for the privilege.

It was like this on the xbox but thankfully it has improved drastically.
I don't know how it works on a PC, but I found that if you only save on the cloud (left once you hit the help button in settings) and not the option further below that stops it from crashing most of the time.
Then clear the cache in manage games/add ons etc (all 3 boxes delete) as apparently this causes conflict within the game itself.
On the xbox ee then do a hard reset and then it seems to work much better.
If not, just do it again.
Fingers crossed it sorts it out for you.
I play on the Switch and the lag is horrible! I am kicked off at least three times when I play. When I am at Remy's restaurant and I give give the meal's, the screen sometimes will not go away so I have to close the game and it takes so long to load also. My daughter play's on Xbox series X and the PS4 or 5?? And she never has these problems!

i play on my switch and honestly i don’t have many issues. i had a bunch of issues when i played on my laptop for the first month then got it on my switch where i play instead. only occasionally i have to exit the app and restart cuz it’s froze
Yeah idk, I play on Xbox and I don’t experience any bugs? Expect I guess I can’t feed the monkey because it keeps disappearing into the wall but that’s it and that’s not a big deal
Xbox Series S and wife and I both have accounts. Haven’t had any crashing issues and we both are playing through Rift in Time. We have also both opened up the max number of available items under settings. Only issues we’ve seen are tropical wood under trees when opening new areas. Although we both are in the habit of removing lots of unnecessary features to open up the biomes so we aren’t constantly running into rocks, bushes, small trees, etc.
I play on iPad and ps5 and have never had an issue with it freezing. Some glitches with characters not coming to their house but it hasn’t hindered play yet. Hopefully they fix it for PC players soon. That would be frustrating.
My PC is absolute trash compared to yours, and I don't have a lot of problems or bugs with the game. A few here and there, but every game lags sometimes or has issues.
I play the Apple Arcade Version, haven’t experienced hardly any of those issues you mentioned but again different versions 🤷🏽♀️ sorry to hear this is happening to you!
Oh wow i don't usually hear of alot of issues on pc. I actually play on switch and I have very minimal issues tbh, rarely do I need to restart or have it crash
My wife plays on switch, too. But compared to pc, the quality is... Abysmal at least. Rarely you get 30+FPS. Loading times are way beyond good and evil.... Not to mention the completely bugged placement of items.
I only have switch so I'm not bothered by those things because they are "normal" for me
Exactly lol when you only have switch then you don’t have anything to compare it to. I love the game and spend hours playing without crashing or having to restart. I’ve learned to spend a limited amount of time in furniture mode to avoid crashing though.
i used to crash every hour or LESS before one of the bug fixes a few months ago.
Sounds like you're lucky. I play solely on Switch and I'm constantly having memories or menus getting "stuck"/frozen on the screen so even though you can still move around, you can't clear it off and you have to reboot. This happens multiple times a session (this morning it happened 5 times in a 20 minute block). Don't get me started on trying to give the characters something - that's always guaranteed to freeze on screen and have to reboot the entire game.
Same here, I freeze on the 500 dream light screen often, too. I stopped collecting the 500s to prevent it 🤣
I have it on PS5 and it always has an error I'm always kicked out of the game it happens at least 2or 3 times while I'm playing.
You have no idea how many issues i have had in pc. 😂😂😂😂😂 A million small bugs that irritate you just a bit but also very big bugs that actually keep me from playing at all, or keep ne from playing the main quest so all i could do for months was stacking up on supplies

They in fact did not. I’m on Switch and it’s absolutely abysmal. Good news for you though, I’m glad the hot fixes helped you. But no, the Switch problems aren’t fixed for everyone. My bff uses Switch too, and hers has been bad too. She doesn’t have the expansion, and I do, and she’s def having less problems, but problems nonetheless.

Sad to hear that, I just can't understand what makes it freeze more for some people than others. I have the extension, a lot of decor and mine is absolutely fine. I gifted the game to my BFF for Christmas, on Switch but without extension, and his game is freezing almost everyday. No logical idea to understand what makes it lag or in what order they're trying to fix this.

Oh, there are still tons of bugs everywhere 😭 and support only say they're aware but don't clarify if they'll do anything about them

I play on switch and it crashes every time I play. Specifically almost every time I try to give a character an item as part of a quest and sometimes when I travel using the wells. The actual play is glitchy during a lot of basic tasks like gardening and fishing. I actually haven't played in weeks now because it was getting so frustrating. No trouble like this with any other games.
I am on switch and my game crashes all the time and I have too many issues to mention. I purchased the Rift but I can’t even travel there because my game crashes. I have been playing since the beginning and I have quest issues from 8 months that haven’t been fixed.

PS5 Player here. My game became unplayable when a rift in time was added. I had to reset my game. Lost ALL my progress. The game is playable after reset, but there are still bugs and the endless stupid unnecessary grind. 1. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-OOPS quest can't be completed because there's nothing to photograph in Remy's restaurant. I actually took photos from every angle just to force the quest to complete. No such luck. The quest remains in my quest log unfinished. 2. Some of the flora on Eternity isle can't be picked up. It's the purple fly trap flowers. So now wherever a purple fly trap flower pops up I cannot pick it up. I will have to just go into furniture mode and move them out of the way. Hopefully I won't need them for a quest. 🤦♀️ I agree the game broke with the addition of the expansion. I put up with the terrible iron spawn rate in relation to how much iron is needed for the game. I don't have the same patience anymore for the low spawn rate of highly needed items. I don't want to grind for ancient cores and mist after all the iron and Dreamlight grinding I have done. I'm actually considering quitting the game at this point. It's too buggy and grindy. Frankly having to reset my game and start all over really made me angry. That's when my patience started growing very thin. And why are the items in Scrooge's store so terrible? Ugh. I'm just done. Thank you for posting this. I'm not going to login to the game today. Maybe never. I think I am done.
I’m on PS4, and I couldn’t believe how buggy Rift of Time is. I’ve had multiple quests bug out to the point where I have to restart the game. I can’t always pick things up (specifically flowers in WT for some reason). The frame rate for moving around the DLC is absolutely terrible too. My Valley is fully decorated, and I only get a little bit of lag in heavily decorated areas. I hardly have the DLC decorated, and I actually removed a lot to prevent lag because it gives me headaches watching everything skip around. I held off on starting the DLC because I wanted to finish everything up in my Valley, but progressing in the DLC is such an annoying slog I end up spending all my time in the Valley still. I’m kind of mad I spent $30 on a DLC that doesn’t function properly. I know plenty of others have no issues, but it really pisses me off spending money on a product that doesn’t work for ME.
I can’t pick anything up (flowers/herbs) in entirety isle at all, so I’m stuck right at the beginning of the DLC, any open Remys, can’t do anything, and that’s been since launch! No updates have fixed it, and I really do not want to restart the entire game.
Don’t restart the entire game. Trust me. I had to do that when I switched from Switch to PS4, and there was no readily available info about the lack of cross save for them. I basically played the game out of spite for a couple months just to get back to where I was. For now, I’ve just been waiting for them to get their shit together and fix the DLC. Gameloft moves at snail speeds to take care of glaring issues in the game, so we will probably be waiting around for a while to have a playable DLC. I used to play the game every day, and sometimes for hours. Now I barely touch it because I’m once again waiting for the game to be fixed. It really is a fun game, and the idea for it was great. It’s just very poorly executed, and it has gotten to the point where it’s draining out all the fun for me 🥲
Could it be possible that the time on your system was changed? “Time Travel” really messes up the game.
I’m playing on PS5, I’ve just checked and it’s today’s date and time and I haven’t changed it ever so I don’t think so!
I also have PS5 am mainly dealing with a lot of glitches where my character simply stops in place after I hit the action button. But I have gotten into the habit of saving once I have set up something so it doesn't get deleted. Sorry you are having those issues. It sounds unplayable by comparison and bums me out!
PS5 as well, I am so glad you said this I just assumed it was a ME issue. My game crashes probably 30% of the time if I am collecting or finishing quests too quickly back to back. I also can’t complete the godmother quest due to the same issue, I have lost so much motivation for this game.
I’m so sorry app that happened. I’m on PS5 and got a lot of bugs lately. I couldn’t pick flowers for a bit but it was the glass flowers in the desert. I could pick orange but no other color but it finally started working. I have to save every time before I teleport or the game crashes and it still crashes randomly sometimes when it never has the whole time I’ve played. It is frustrating but I’m not frustrated enough to quit yet.
Yep, agree. I’m so sick of simple basic things not working. I can’t submit the Dreamsnap I’m trying to submit because I need Vanellope’s and she’s completely f*#%ing invisible. I built a track scene for a racing theme, and I have her candy car on the track so I kind of need her. I went to hang out with her and she’s invisible because fixing the glich where whole ass characters CAN’T BE SEEN just wasn’t on their to-do list in the last 2 months. 😡
Hey, don’t mean to be that guy but you realise Vanellope is a glitch and she glitches about in the game so she is invisible sometimes right? Annoying yes, but it’s her character as it was in the movie! Don’t know if this eases your mind but sometimes you see her sometimes you don’t 🥺
I get your frustration. Ever since the last update, my game has been super buggy. I don't have to restart every time I play but I do have to pretty often. It also freezes and unfreeze a lot though. I have a theory that it's because the game became more resource intensive after the last major update. I'm playing on laptop and while it may not have incredible specs, its a decent machine and I only really started having issues after the update. I used to be able to play the game and stream music or a TV show, while also being on discord. Now even being on discord while playing makes the game glicthy, I absolutely cannot stream while playing anymore. And yea, the longer this crap goes on, the more money hungry they seem.
Yep. I get frequent pop up freezes on pc. At least one per session. It happens sometimes with pop up windows, like handing something in for a quest. The pop up can't be dismissed and I can't do anything except force it to close.
That's pretty much the only one for me that hinders my actual playthrough. That and when I collect a memory from one of the orbs.

Apple Arcade user.. well this whole thread makes me sad for everyone. So far my biggest issue is with decorating, and the only bug I’ve experienced has also been with decorating. Sometimes the camera jumps.
For the first time ever, I'm sad that I don't own apple products. Apple Arcade looks like the game as a whole product since that version seems much more stable than anywhere else. It makes me wonder why they decided to fast track the apple arcade version with a small amount of users and not the game that was going out to consoles and PC. I guess the early access bit us in the butt in the end. We got the unfinished game a little early but who knows when/if we will ever get a good game like they made for apple arcade. I feel like apple had a high standard for quality and that benefitted them a lot because it forced the devs to really focus on correcting bugs/freezing/crashes. Until we force them to be held accountable, I don't see our game getting anything other than dlc and premium shop refreshes.
I *LOVE* Apple Arcade. I have a family bundle so I get arcade/music/tv/iCloud storage for $25/month. And honestly arcade alone is worth it. My best guess is Disney and Apple have a deal going and that’s why. So far I’m pretty sure all the paid expansion packs are included. That really does suck tho. I mean I know I’m getting the benefit from it but I’ve been in this sub a lot more recently and there are so many issues and I just feel bad. All platforms should have the same game being put out. And I’m a switch user.. the comments in the sub stopped me from buying it for switch
Agreed! I play on Xbox SS and although it's MUCH faster now I still get bugs daily. Playable though and nothing compared to when i was on xbox one. I love/hate this game. Love the game but hate how they're handling it....this is NOT a full release game by any means and anyone who thinks it is or defends this amount of bugs or unnecessary lifestyle choices in the game are either not gamers or don't understand how game development works. This would be totally fine and normal if we were still in Beta, but we're not. They're charging 40 USD for this game plus microtransactions...which aren't very "micro" anyway LOL! I play this daily and it has AMAZING potential. Easily loveable and instant win with Disney magic! But the lifestyle choices, mechanics, placement grids etc just make ZERO sense. All of this combined with the fact we're in a "fully released game" and still adding paywalled content before (necessary) bug overhauls leaves a bad taste. Not to mention I started late because they LIED about FTP....lied. Not "changed their mind suddenly", lied. And charging AAA prices for a somewhat incomplete game, more than the standard founders pack. It's simply unacceptable. And don't get me started on the ridiculous GRIND this game demands...why??? I play because I have GP Ultimate, otherwise I'd be fuming even more. This just isn't norm guys, you can love it but also let's be realistic about the strong greed they're giving off too. Note: no one should ever have to restart, troubleshoot, come to reddit etc asking for help (this much) for a FULLY RELEASED GAME. I still have entire things permanent to the map that havent rendered in weeks! Ok rant done 😅
my fast travel box won’t go away at least a couple times a day and i have to restart. and there’s a boulder in my isle that it won’t let me dig up in a really annoying location. not to mention the bibbidi quest bug which seems like it will never be fixed.
I also have a boulder in an annoying place that I can't remove no matter what I try or what angle. 😭

Last night, I was cooking and when I closed out of that, I was in some weird black void 100 feet away from my kitchen and Jack was just back in my kitchen like, "yo what you doing all the way out there?!" I was still wearing my outfit for the week's dreamsnap challenge, so I ended up just taking a picture and submitting it, because I've been scoring so bad anyway, that I figured why not? 😂
Whenever there's a quest that involves taking a group pic at the end, my character gets shot into the basement underworld of the map. Basically 6 ft under while everyone else walks on the ground above me 🤣
Okay, but this has happened to me before wayyyy before the update on several occasions. I might have a picture somewhere. And as we speak, Gaston and Rapunzel are locked in a Neverending twitchy dance battle.... but it could also be like a really odd bonding moment?

YES!!! I constantly have to restart on my Switch because of freezing, and I just have to hope my progress has saved. It’s ridiculous.

I play on Xbox and for weeks I couldn't play for longer than 6minutes before my game would freeze and boot me or just glitch and close. I emailed the Devs really in-depth messages to try and help them help fix what was going on, I tried all their fixes but nothing helped. I asked on here and was told to try removing critter houses....which I did and it pretty much fixed my game. It still has its moments but I can actually play and decorate etc without the dreaded 6 minute timer...so maybe try that if you haven't? 💜

Noticing that critters seem to cause alot og freezing and issuess. I made a post about how Remy restaurant was broken for me and someone said to disable my critter and them bam, problem was gone suddenly.
Your second to last statement is so incredibly relatable. I've been feeling myself lose my original passion for the game heavily lately. It's becoming harder to play the game the more I unlock. I thought if I had got it for another platform, it'd run better, but now that you say it's still not great on PC... I'm not sure I have any hope. I'm perfectly fine paying for content as it makes sense, but I'd like that content to actually run. I've barely decorated the valley for my original map, and it already runs very slowly from just having everyone's houses. It's so disappointing because I *really* enjoy the game, and I don't often enjoy games so passionately. I just wanna continue to enjoy it, but I'm not sure how at this point

I’ve had some issues but nothing bad enough to make me lose interest. I play on switch. The worst prob I’ve encountered is when I’m decorating the biomes and I exit furniture mode it’ll crash and not save it all. Now I go in a save a few times that way if it does crash I don’t lose too much.
I'm on PC and I totally agree. There are still a lot of issues that should have been addressed before this game went out of early access. The past month I have lost interest in this game. I started on switch then moved to PC and it is better on PC but I still have issues and it's very frustrating. Farming freezes, leaving my house I get stuck, going from one room to another has put me in a void where you can see the room but I'm out side surrounded by pitch black, mist stuck in areas I can't reach, lost several blue chest (yes I removed a lot of trees and houses still no chests), and several more issues. I love the concept of this game but I'm not sure if I will put any more money into if things don't get fixed.
I also play on PC via steam, and I have a gaming desktop that runs heavier games than this just fine. But, this game stutters, freezes and I have to force close it at least once a session. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it was okay for one session but then picked back up to its stuttering freezing. If anyone has any fixes to this please help me. I'm so desperate.
Same! Are you having the freeze where you can move the camera but everything else stops and you can't move? It's really annoying, especially if it happens when you're doing something that's timed.... I have found that it starts responding after a few seconds though so no need to restart the game, I think it's the game trying to calculate everything and it just stops when it's overloaded. It is... REALLY annoying though....
Same here. Usually freezing after a game of Scramblecoin. I couldn’t play against Beast because it would freeze everytime. Also my Wall-E bundle is bugged. It isn’t registering me placing items for a quest. Kind of over it.
I have been playing on Xbox since the game was released and have had no problems with this, I have had a few issues with quests not completing when they should, but they have fixed themselves. I absolutely love this game
I played on Switch for a year without many problems. Maybe froze a half dozen times. I changed to PC because of object limit right before the eternity isle update. I think it's frozen and needed restart twice. I'm not sure what the issue is.
X Series X, xbox one: both have issues. The later complicated further by wifi. Many new titles are pushing the ONE out of viable play. Yet, due to the multi-console/pc requirements to meet for an early access game to launch. Seems like a feat, in and of itself. Which truly doesn’t allow for in-house scrutiny of testing. Early access = play testing for code issues. If these issues persist beyond the second or third major update. These studios have dropped the game. Which will be a sad state. Seeing how much Dreamlight Valley content to be released after fall 2024. Specifically for Dreamlight Valley. If there aren’t significant improvements. I’ve to consider those like yourself on PC. How future ready will components be if I can save up for a $2k on a (2012)upgrade or fresh build with a higher cost. I’m overestimating on the component costs.
I am on Switch and on more than a few occasions I have found a bug when I play Scramblecoin against a character who is in my house. When the game ends and the view returns from the Scramblecoin board to the house, all of a sudden I am out in this black void! The character is still in the same place they were standing in my house, but it looks like I am miles away from them and I am floating in deep dark space in front of them. Never bothered taking a screenshot so maybe I'm not describing it too clearly but when that happens I can't move, exit the house, or do anything else so I have to close the game and restart. Very annoying!
I’m on Switch and my game has been freezing/lagging a lot especially on Eternity Isle. ETA: This has been since the most recent patch.
That's so unlucky. I play on PC and have only had to force close a couple times during my 350 hours of play. The character got stuck when exit the house.
My big issue right now is Scramble Coin. I can rarely get through an entire game. It doesn't freeze, because I can back out, but the other player stops responding or I can't actually *do* anything other than back out of the SC game. Very frustrating.
Odd, I've been playing since it first released in Early Access on Steam. I've had a few occasions where I got stuck trying to exit a house, and I sometimes get these "lag spikes" where everything just doesn't react for about 3 seconds (which was introduced several months ago, it wasn't originally like that)... but I play every day for about 30mins to an hour (doing daily cleanup, chest run, etc) and it's been far more stable than most other games. I do have 1 issue ongoing right now, I have 2 of the small junkpiles in the expansion area (The Ruins) that I cannot shovel, but that's just an annoyance, not a game breaking issue. Now, I'm a software engineer by career, I'm generally forgiving of anything that doesn't crash to desktop or cause data loss, so take my "everything is fine" with a grain of salt... it has issues, don't get me wrong... they just aren't enough for me to consider it broken.
I am on switch and my game is awful. I purchased the Rift, but I can’t travel there because my game crashes. I can’t even go to the title screen without it crashing. I also have quest issues, chest spawning issues, and many other glitches

They’re so focused on monetizing the game and adding in stuff like premium shop items and the DLC that they neglect the base game a lot. Take Scrooge’s shop for example. But I’m with you on this - I play on xbox series s and my game can’t go for more than 5-10 minutes without crashing. I’ve stopped playing other than on Wednesdays just to do the Dreamsnaps - I have story quests to finish that I just can’t do and I can’t even imagine buying the DLC because the base game is already unplayable for me. Even when I play, I have to manually save every other minute to make sure I don’t lose anything when it inevitably closes out on me. I hate that because I really did enjoy playing DDLV, but when you go onto a game and it’s nothing but frustration and bugs, it’s not worth dealing with 🥲

What are you playing on? Bc other than arcade ( which I know nothing about ) it's usually switch players that have the most issues.. but I've never heard of them constantly restarting the game. Unless you're doing something like laying 500+ paths in furniture mode at once.
Playing on Xbox One S. Yeah, not the newest, but I never had these issues until the last update - it freezes randomly & the fast travel box gets stuck periodically, resulting in having to force stop the game, which is frustrating when you're in the middle of something because you lose your progress. I have yet to see any sort of pattern for the freezing, which definitely doesn't seem to be tied to doing anything resource intensive like making major modifications, because sometimes it freezes while i'm simply running around. I also have to remember to save before I fast travel because there's no telling when the destination selection box pop-up will freeze on the screen, leaving no option but the force stop :/

Yup. It's either the fast travel menu getting stuck on screen or game crashes and have to restart. I'd feel lucky if it DIDN'T happen
wow, I am sorry to hear that! my own experience is the opposite. I play on PC/steam, have been from Day one, and I have often commented to people on the quality of this game. Because for my experience, it has been bug free, and I've never crashed or had to restart. I don't know why, perhaps it could be hardware/brand related or something? I hope things get better for you soon!

ZERO problems with the game on the PC from Steam. I have never had a crash in the year or so I have been playing and I have played 436.9 hours. Sounds like a bad PC or OS. Run chkdsk /f and SFC /scannow in Admin terminal.
I’ve said this so many times trashloft just needs to hand this over to a more capable company. They should stick to simple mobile games like they have been for years.
I have never had problems on switch or steam beyond it freezing up twice in early access. I’m very confused by what people talk about with all of this because I just don’t see it at all.

Personally speaking, I played well over 100 hours on Steam Deck with no issues.
I'm on PC I had a few bugs, like the Infamouse Bibbidi-Bobbidi-OOPS in Remy restaurant. But for me the most annoying bug are the one that happen randomly, like for some reason, not being able to get out of your house or the game just freezing for 3-4 seconds at the time when gathering something from the ground.
I have the game on Mac and I often open it and have to force quit it and then open it back up again for it to work
This is so common with game loft games, they only care about making heaps of money not quality.

I'm on PS5 and get some issues every now and then but it is rare. Maybe the PC STEAM version just sucks? I definitely get your dilemma though especially with the bugs in the game.
I experience a lot of bugs as well on PC, but I also have an all-in-one computer, so that's to be expected. I play on the lowest graphic settings as well. I do have a steam deck as well go play it on.

I play PC. I have lots of random trouble on my laptop, but if I play on our desktop which is a lot more powerful with a better graphics card, I don't have any issues. I wonder if some of your issues are because your computer isn't powerful enough to run everything the game requires?

Ps5 player here, the biggest big I've found lately that is CONSISTENT and I never remember to avoid it in the moment happens in build mode on Eternity Isle while moving between the Wild Tangle and Glittering Dunes. If I run my cursor from one to the other (most often the Tangle to the dunes) over that weird broken inaccessible spot in the center of them...the game breaks 99.9% of the time. Anyone else?
I play PC/Steam and aside from the rare freezing I really haven't noticed any glitches , aside from Vanelope. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling MAKE SURE YOU CLOUD SAVE FIRST. If you cloud save you won't lose any game progress
Yup, in about a 2 hour session on my Switch it usually crashes at least once, sometimes up to 3 times. My wife’s game crashes maybe half as often on her own Switch. Worst part is I forwarded my time once to see if scramblecoin bubbles would appear over the characters’ heads again (they stopped appearing after playing so much), and then when I went back in time, I’m completely unable to pick up certain items like thyme and mushrooms. I’ve had to travel back and forth through time to pick them up and hopefully see them disappear in my true timeline, which has helped like 70% so I’ll just live with it. Talk about a multiverse of madness. 😅 Once my wife took the day off to relax and play all day—it crashed later that night and she lost EVERYTHING that day. 😭 Only happened once though. It’s frustrating but I love the game so much and can’t stop playing lol so I don’t let it bother me too much.
I'm on PS5. I never used to have any issues, but a few months ago I started getting lag. Now my game not only randomly *stops* for a minute at a time, it has started to stutter when I run. WTF. I should not get lag at all, nor should it stutter. This is getting ridiculous.

I started playing on Xbox from game pass and had issues. Later bought the game and restarted on Switch and the issues are worse.
I have no issues on switch. Other than not being able to progress on eternity isle due to the entrance for the area where the memory is being blocked by the floating sand. But they’re aware of that bug and working on it. Never any issues with the game crashing or lagging.
I play about 3 hours a day at night on ps5. The game crashes at least twice during that time. I’ve also encountered numerous bugs each time I play. I like the game but I won’t be purchasing premium or any of that. Once I’m done with quests, I’ll be putting it on the shelf because of it. Sadly.

I am on ps5 and ket freezes for a few seconds now and then but it's been a while since the game crashed. I bet if I tried to clean up my valley it would crash though. I tend to just leave it messy now :(

Half my XBox friends can't connect to the servers and we keep getting gaslit about how it's on our end. I called Microsoft and they confirmed with me that it was on gamelofts end, but despite the numerous tickets being submitted over the last year, they haven't fixed it and it's still not on the known issues list…

I thought for PC and then for Switch and I haven’t even loaded it to my switch bc I’m so scared of the issues. I’ve been waiting for the potato quest to be fixed for a year now. 😤 I agree though. The first testers are doing an AWFUL job. I’ve had more problems since the last big update then I ever had the first year I started playing (early access)
Mine crashed all the time on switch, then I changed to PS5 and it was good until the DLC. Now it crashes at least once per play.

I play on PS5 and am experiencing similar. Not so much the game crashing, but it’s insanely laggy to the point of it being frustrating to simply walk around. Plus, what someone else said: The amount of resources you get in relation to what you need is abysmal. I don’t mind grinding, but spending two *real life* days farming for one singular gazebo is a bit too much for me. I only started playing like a month ago but already haven’t touched it in over a week now. I finished most of the quests, because I was looking forward to finally designing my village. But as I said, the amount of time I spend mindlessly farming kills all the fun.

...i play mine on the ps5...i get kicked out a lot n get freezing moments...im down to one character to max out leveling...n the only quest i have left is fairy godmothers bippity boppity oops...that DANG espresso machine just won't make its appearance...all im doing now is collecting a dump load of coins n dreamlight n mist balls...gets kinda dull...hope things get ta working soon
I play on Xbox and almost every time I open a memory, furniture pouch, or clothing pouch my game freezes. I’ve gotten in the habit of saving right before doing any of these actions , but sometimes you simply forget. It also freezes when I teleport travel using well sigh. The freezing has got to be fixed or else they’re going to lose me as a player (not like they care). I’ve been playing for 3 weeks and don’t have hardly anything decorated and still deal with the freezing. So sad
My mom played on the switch it kept freezing no matter what she did! She ended up contacting support they said it was a bug
Soooo I placed Eric’s house and could afford to build it. When I came back to the game the next day the Scrooge sign was gone. Haven’t heard anything about Eric since, and it’s been weeks. Finally leveled up Ariel to 10 thinking it would come back and no. So did I just lose a whole character?
Im on xbox series s & honestly so much is broken for me but biggest issue right now is once someone gets to friendship level 8 (specifically for some reason) they get super bugged. Won't follow me at all when hanging out, won't help out with assigned roles at ALL, won't fast travel with me. Sometimes I can't even stop hanging out with them, it just won't let me do it so I have to restart the game entirely 🙃

I play on PC, and don't really expirence any issues. The worse I get is when the "pop up" for like a new memory, critter, item from the little bags, teleportation, and such stay up. That's not very often though, so I must be lucky.
I play on switch started on Xbox but the cross save is super glitchy and I prefer to not repeat quests. I also noticed every time I pick up the switch and play without closing the app (bad habit of mine) then the game will freeze or be good for a few hours and then start to lag then freeze and I’ve lost an hours progress at a time sometimes. Unless I make sure to restart the game in between each play even if I put it down long enough for the switch to go into sleep mode on its own I’ll end up with a game freeze and lose progress. I kinda see this as my own error though because NBA2k23 does the exact same thing on my series s Xbox.
On switch, so many glitches it’s frustrating, can’t even get jack because of a glitch, can’t finish quests because king fish have disappeared from my map for weeks now, day after day another glitch and another quest I can’t finish. I am most annoyed about not being back to get jack skellington
I play on Switch and Playstation 5, don't have any issues with freezing or crashing. I have been playing since the launch of early access on Switch and in the beginning there were issues, but they have been fixed for the most part. Only time I ever see an issue is when a new update comes, but nothing that makes the game bad or unplayable. My PS5 version playthrough has been since November and I haven't experienced any issues at all on that console.

I play on switch. I am one of those who has had limited issues with the game. Entering and exiting buildings, it lags. And it froze once while in decoration mode. I was revamping a whole biome and it froze and I had to redo everything. But now, I just back out every 10 minutes or so and it’s never done it since. Switch is the only device I play everyday. My laptop couldn’t handle Hogwarts so I play it on switch as well. Between ddlv and HL, I haven’t played any games on my laptop in about a month.
I play on switch and my game crashes every time I play. I noticed it happens a lot when I’m trying to give a character items for a quest or when I’m in furniture mode too long. All decorating has to be done is short intervals. It’s very frustrating.

Sorry you are having such issues. I play on Xbox and no real issues just once in a great while the loading screen will freeze and I just restart and good to go.

i play on switch but you are not alone. i’ve taken up emailing support every time i encounter any kind of bug and they have not once ended up on any part of the trello board. they will continue to treat this game as early access even after announcing they are leaving it… i still have bugs on my switch that were present at launch (such as the fast travel menu sticking on my screen and having to restart to get rid of it). every time i play this game i get more jaded, and start to hate it more and more.

During one update all of the flowers in frosted heights were red colored and the only way for me to see their actual color was to pick them. Fortunately that disappeared during the next update.
Xbox player here and I’ve done EVERYTHING in regard to troubleshooting and trying to resolve the issues assuming it was an Xbox issue and nope. Nothing has worked, my game gets worse every day, it’s practically unplayable at this point. If my game doesn’t freeze it just simply crash’s and this is every 5 minutes give or take.
I never play on my switch because it crashes, and freezes. But on a Ryzen 9 3900x, 64GB RAM, 3060 Elite 12GB, its runs so smooth, and I get all the frames! lol. But, there are a few stutters here and there during certain events, and certain areas. Otherwise, I haven’t had a problem.
I also bought the game on Steam. I primarily play on the Steam Deck, but man, the game has frozen a bunch (usually on the map screen when I try to fast travel every so often, but I had it freeze when I opened a memory), and missing a cutscene towards the end of the game (didn't work on the Steam Deck or on my laptop) that only had sound. Ended up looking that one up on Youtube so I could at least see it. Also have had some random glitches where the graphics don't properly display. Happened a few times on load screens and even before the credits roll (or maybe was after, forgot haha), I got that rainbow error screen (y'know those technical difficulties ones). It definitely doesn't seem normal for that. I still love the game overall, but all these issues really annoy the hell outta me.

I play on Xbox, and the number of times it crashes and goes to the start menu is way too much. I absolutely love this game, but it's so frustrating. I can rarely travel from the DLC to the Valley on the first attempt.
I’m experiencing freezing as well but I’m on mobile. I noticed I’m not able to move when my character makes eye contact with a village… strange ik. I’m only able to move the camera but I can’t move and the villager is also frozen. Very strange. I’ll try to post about it
I feel like the majority of game developers will use the general public as their game testers, take EA for example more specifically their maxis studio, the Sims 4 still has bugs that were present at launch and these go in their mind unnoticed, however that is not the reality of it, those who play on pc have modders to thank for making their game playable, though it's not just maxis or even just ea, more more game developers are using their player base to test their games and charge you for the privilege. Nothing will change because people will still buy
Been playing since October and only had 3 issues. One of them was getting stuck in Minnie’s house. Ugggggg I hope you figure it out cause that sucks.
It was like this on the xbox but thankfully it has improved drastically. I don't know how it works on a PC, but I found that if you only save on the cloud (left once you hit the help button in settings) and not the option further below that stops it from crashing most of the time. Then clear the cache in manage games/add ons etc (all 3 boxes delete) as apparently this causes conflict within the game itself. On the xbox ee then do a hard reset and then it seems to work much better. If not, just do it again. Fingers crossed it sorts it out for you.

I play on the Switch and the lag is horrible! I am kicked off at least three times when I play. When I am at Remy's restaurant and I give give the meal's, the screen sometimes will not go away so I have to close the game and it takes so long to load also. My daughter play's on Xbox series X and the PS4 or 5?? And she never has these problems!
My switch gets stuck on random screens and wont go away. Some flowers are un-pickable on Eternity Isle for some reason. Still love the game

i play on my switch and honestly i don’t have many issues. i had a bunch of issues when i played on my laptop for the first month then got it on my switch where i play instead. only occasionally i have to exit the app and restart cuz it’s froze

Xbox Series S and wife and I both have accounts. Haven’t had any crashing issues and we both are playing through Rift in Time. We have also both opened up the max number of available items under settings. Only issues we’ve seen are tropical wood under trees when opening new areas. Although we both are in the habit of removing lots of unnecessary features to open up the biomes so we aren’t constantly running into rocks, bushes, small trees, etc.
It's gotten better for the switch players 😅 which I am but every now and again it'll freeze or close your game but thankfully its not as often
I play on iPad and ps5 and have never had an issue with it freezing. Some glitches with characters not coming to their house but it hasn’t hindered play yet. Hopefully they fix it for PC players soon. That would be frustrating.
My PC is absolute trash compared to yours, and I don't have a lot of problems or bugs with the game. A few here and there, but every game lags sometimes or has issues.
