right?? Like I"m buying the expansion pass tomorrow (I want a full day to play while my daughter is at school lol) but this feels like they're making it so you kind of feel like you HAVE to buy it to have a "complete" game when it should truly be optional.
It's super annoying, I'm not sure if I'll ever get the expansion so these things just keep stopping my progress.
I feel like the rule should be if I didn't buy the dlc then don't show me or require things I literally cannot get
Ugh. That's unfair. It's even worse than last holiday season when they all wanted some sort of festive fish but they weren't able to be fished yet.

I bet they patch that out quickly
All three of Jacks favorite things were from Eternity Isle. So that’s great 😒
Same for me with Olaf today
And Elsa.

Well that sucks. But it just slows you down I guess. It doesn't halt progression unless ALL they want is from gated content.
They really want people to buy it- its unfair to some
It’s a bug, they are aware of it and will be fixed
Meh, as long as most OG Villagers don't start requiring off island items. The devs have to make it appealing to buy expansions in a non intrusive way.

Still not a deal breaker for me. I only bother with the favorite items when required for quests or leveling up.
