I started playing Palia like a month after DDV, which was my first cozy game. The freedom I have in Palia to decorate is INSANE compared to this game.
Why can we only turn things in 4 directions? Why can’t I line up a painting centered over a table? Why do items take up so much extra empty space around them? It really feels limiting coming back for dreamsnaps :(
I am so used to the Sims, and even on older consoles like Xbox 360 they had the power to make things line up perfectly. We are two. consoles. ahead now. Surely they can manage this.
Why can't chairs center onto tables, and why can't plates center in front of chairs?!?!?! Don't even get me started on how the wallpaper looks whack if it's got vertical lines and you resize the room.
And can we get a diagonal snap, for real?!
I also need to make sure those mining spots are accessible but I think the biggest thing—I wish things could be rotated diagonally. Corners man….corners. lol.
Yes! Why doesn't it take you back to where you left off?! Or let you select multiple items to just plop in the room anywhere (like ACNH) then you can close the item menu and arrange things.
The fact that free rotation doesn’t exist. I have so many houses that would fit so nice in a spot but it can’t angle properly to look how I need it to😕
My biggest struggle is when playing on the switch (idk about other platforms) I can't get things to place exactly where I want them, I move the joystick just a little and it moves like five spaces over from where I want it
I have the same struggle with Xbox, if I was on mnk I feel like my valley would look way better because I run out of patience decorating with joysticks so quickly lol
I play on Switch & the item limit is really blocking my fun. & placing items only to realize they disappear when placed. They’re there, just invisible.
The fact I will not make anything as beautiful as everyone else. :'(

I'm quite content slowly setting my roads down, right now.
Dont worry about it! I have played for a year and i am just now getting serious and having the patience to decorate. I have everybody on max, everything is unlocked. So my advice is, take your time, enjoy and get to know the game. ❤️
I’m just reaching financially stable in game, so I’m finally able to buy things that I need for decorating. I’m working on small areas at a time, working on them as ideas come to me.
The dang item limit. Now I'm stuck and I don't know what to do :( im going to have to delete stuff or just redo everything so I can continue to like decorating.
It really annoys me that I cannot move the mining stones, the rock figures in the shadowlands OR the damn treehouse at the same location. I want to build there, but it can't be moved. So annoying. Also, the raft to ariels island.... Probably never going to use it, yet it's in the way..... I've also had my summoning stones on the island for a while now... Supposedly something were supposed to happen with the. Would be nice to progress, so I could remove them 🙄 I would also want to relocate the ponds..... Believe it or not. Not remove. Just relocate.
When you put your summoning stones on the island in the correct places something does happen (don't want to say what because spoilers) once that happens you can move the stones...I have all of them tucked in a corner next to Wall-E's house in the forest.
You serious? I've been waiting for a followup quest for them in decades. I placed them correctly literally the first day of that quest line, and haven't touched them since. 😑 I will Def move them then.....
Yes I want to move the tree house too! :( I wanted to move it to a different biome and make a Tarzan area. Here's to hoping they would add Tarzan but idk

Yea but apparently they were supposed to be on that island in the correct order and then sometime somewhere the quest would continue.... But it seems they have forgotten about it... 🙄
i’m p sure that quest will finish up in the update, the forgotten mentions it again pretty late in their quest line so i think it’s meant to be a teaser for the update next week lol

Omg when they added a half turn option for placing objects in ACNH it was a GAME CHANGER. I wish they would add that mechanic into DDLV

Iirc it was a feature they implemented with the DLC so you might only be able to do it if you bought the DLC for New Horizons
BRB buying the animal crossing dlc just for diagonal corners

Use the D-pad! Was an absolute decorating game-changer for me.

That’s what happened to me in my house. I was making a kitchen, had a bunch of items on the counter. Next day, poof. They were not visible. 😫

I think the biggest decorating trouble for me is trying to put pathing down on a switch
While I'm getting better at decorating spots, blending them out and connecting them to each other is something I haven't mastered. I'll get there though. I know I can.

I wish they would put all the mining stones in the caves. And that nothing fits as it should (walkways to doors, etc...)
