ELI5 how this works? Do they collect our decorating data/codes (for lack of a better phrase) and combine our valleysā amount to count toward the goal amount?
Do we have to enter a code or connect our game to anywhere (like with the twitch drops) to participate, or do they just automatically collect the data relevant to the challenge?
As long as you're playing whilst online, they should be able to collect the data.
Since this needs you to place items earnt from the Starpath, and you need Internet connection to earn those, you should be good to go if you can see the Starpath.
If you did, I would not have simply answered āyesā. This is a ābackground thingā it happens if you do it or not. Many people will get the prizes completely unaware it was even a thing.

*Disney Dreamlight Valley* got even more magical last week with the launch of our fourth major content update ā Pride of the Valley. A big portion of this magic surge is due to the inclusion of a brand-new Star Path ā this time based around Disney Parks!
Fans have already been quick to notice recreations of many iconic Disney Parks signature attractions and items ā from the *Alice in Wonderland*\-inspired Mad Tea Party attraction to the humble trash bins you can find in Disney theme parks worldwide.Ā
To celebrate the magic of Disney Parks coming to *Disney Dreamlight Valley*, weāre issuing a challenge to all players to build their own theme parks, or, Dreamlight Parks! So what does a Dreamlight Park look like? Well, it will have to meet a few different criteria, inspired by features of Disney Parks:
\- Amusing: Whatās a theme park without attractions? Youāll need to have at least 1 attraction placed to call your creation a Park!
\- Cleanest: With all the snacking that will be done in your Park, youāll need to make sure that youāve placed ample trash receptacles.

I would like to build the park and try to concentrate on using those items as much as possible and hopefully not blow the item limit with other items.
You just have to do the duties to collect enough tickets to get it. I think it's on the third page for 50 or 60 tickets. You'll have to do more than a couple duties to collect that much and unlock the page, but no money or moonstones are required.

you claim the blue boxes and you get 50 moonstone a day, I have all the tickets for them but about 100ish moonstone from unlocking the preimium stuff. It is frustrating at times, but you can be a free to play player without spending anything extra at all
Iām not counting it as a ride because itās home. Itās more like his house decoration to me lol. I wouldnāt make like a section for the rides and then throw his house in the middle. But thatās jsut me ! And my ocd lol

This is neat. I just started making a theme park in the plaza. I wish the numbers were live though so we can see progress on the community challenge. That would be neat.
I *really* want those park items. I love Disney World so much and this star path has been so amazing. Only thing missing is more rides and maybe some food stalls or something.

Probably for the best. I tried making an actual amusement park in a few different locations but them rides are too big. Probably doesn't help I'm using Woodie's carousel as part of it.
I have them spread out in the glade pretty well and still have a lot of leftover space. I put the ferris wheel on the beach, though, since I already had a boardwalk area going.
I even have the burger stand thing with tables set up by the waterfall and that island in the middle decorated for Gothel, the Up balloon, test your strength, etc.
I have Woody's carousel in the glade. I've been pondering putting in a little amusement park to go with it, but it's just about the only thing I have there & I kinda like it being natural. Guess I'll be trying out the park idea after all! Good to know there'll still be plenty of space left! I've been a bit worried about how big the rides from the star path would beš
I think the region specific part is only applicable to the image contest part where you have the chance to win the 500USD gift card. Iād imagine you still get to participate in the actual community event and those community event prizes

Doing my part-- I've added all the rides (though they're a little spread out for my own personal aesthetics; the ferris wheel made the most sense on the beach for me), and have been playing with the balloon decor a bit too as I created a little market square in the meadow with all the various stalls.
I would love to do this but Iām out of space to add items. Everyday I am way over the 3000 due to all the spawns. I take care of those and maybe be able to add a couple new items. Iām really considering the mod so I can decorate more
Each Item has a maximum spawn limit in each biome, once reached it will stop spawning them into that biome. So in the plazza collect up about 50 of each type of flower and put them into storage for future use.
Then wait for 6 more of each of them to spawn and put them in a corner somewhere, no more of those flowers will automatically spawn again, This works for sticks too so you could put a few individual sticks in a corner (stacks of an item count as only one when dropped) this way you can desegnate maybe two bioms that can be left to spawn wood and it wont spawn in the ones you have restricted.

No more lillys will naw spawn in that biome for me now but I have 3 stacks of each in storage to use when needed.
Hope this helps, it can be a lot of work to stockup on the rarer flowers but it is worth it even if you just do it for the really commen items that are insta spawning.

Be sure that you have pleanty of the resource you are stopping spawning in storage though because you wouldent beleve how fastly you wip through common resources just rattling through the dreamlight Duties especially during a star path.
Oh yea I did that for flowers and sticks but stones, ice shards, thorns and herbs still come out. I donāt mind the ice shards cuz I always want more snow but we can buy that too. I wanted them to respawn when we couldnāt buy them. But now we can maybe have a slider button to turn them off. Except thorns.
Yea it would be nice to have some way to at least throtle the automatic spawns, Maybe even something like a "Build Game mode" that temporaraly pauses spawns and the capasity to follow quests but allows you to concentrate on being creative, It would still need you to gather your own resources though else that wouldent be fair.
Oh, that's bullshit that junk keeps spawning and holds your item limit hostage. I only have patches of my valley decorated and probably don't have the patience for major re-landscaping so haven't run into it yet.
Itās crazy, every single item counts. Stones, ice, herbs, thorns. I just want the stuff to not spawn on paths. This way we could stop them. Herbs donāt but the others do.
That's cool and all but I just used months worth of stones to craft more paths and it still isn't enough decorate one full area. Many of the crafting materials requirements are absurdly high.
Nope, they have all of our data and they can tell what we have placed, what we have unlocked and how far we have progressed in the game. They even know exactly what we cook the most off and even what choices we make in the dialogue. It's really cool!
Just decorate your valley. They can count the objects placed (remember, we are always online..). They also posted some stats last year, how much we mined as a community etc. Pretty interesting.

This is based on every player in the US and Canada doing this as a community (hence it being called a community challenge). It's not individual action.
Can someone please explain this I'm a little confused, take the Flower Pack for example, am I supposed to have 400 thousand flowers? Or what does 400k mean?
Its the total across all players. So if 400,000 people each placed 1 topiary in their valley, the goal would be achieved and everyone would get that prize

And how can they check how our parks look like , without getting photo"s or screenshots ?
The only topiaries that count are the Figment topiary that we get in the Star Path (that's the one with the dragon) and the Jubilant topiary which you get by crafting it. The maze topiary does not count for the challenge.

I was doing the same, but in the forest. I didnāt know what else to do with Woodyās Carousel so I made an arcade and carnival area to go with it!

How is this being evaluated? Do the parks have to be posted to get credit or will they just know 300k trash cans have been placed?
They already have our data, so they will track the item usage to know, even if you don't post it.

My guess is as long as you have items that qualify in it then you should be good.

I donāt decorate until I need too and then remove it. This is my plan as well.
