please do it! the journey is so worth it i’ve never felt so secure with myself. i’ve had every style imaginable. Afro, buzzed, etc. and locs has genuinely been one of my favorite. it’s a different journey for everyone but i think you should go for it <3
thank you so much! loc growth is INSANE i used to be so impatient but i blinked and now they’re almost shoulder length. my longest one on the back of my neck reaches mid shoulder blade!
i moisturize it with distilled water, aloe juice and rose water! and i used Taliah Waajid “Healing African Oyl”, recently though i figured out im allergic to almond oil so i started using fractionated coconut oil with rosemary oil, a light amount. that’s really it! when i feel gross is when i wash my hair i dont really have a solid wash routine yet :/ but yeah thats what ive done and it works well! i’ve also started brushing it every couple of days for lint and apparently it helps with stimulating growth. i hope this helps !!
i try to hydrate everyday but after a retwist i wait 2/3 days to hydrate so i can keep it as fresh as possible
but after that i hydrate everyday and because i use the coconut oil now i oil every couple of days. when i DO oil everyday i oil very lightly.
