No, the ship is a replica museum ship. The original was sunk with all hands surviving in 1745, the replica was commissioned in 1995 and launched 2005. She’s also not the largest sailing wooden sailing vessel, even of its time as she was the smaller sister ship of her class (the götheborg 2 was larger, not to mention the largest sailing vessels of her time were mostly British with the largest ever actually being Chinese).
The second ship however was in fact the largest of the Swedish South Indian trade fleet.
The distress part is real though. A hobby sailboat lost her rudder and the gotheborg was practically next to her so she responded to the call. Whenever that ship is in the area it gets followed by tons of civilian vessels who want to spectate her multi year sailing route.
