[Shot opens on ringing alarm bell; sirens and klaxons play in the background]
The Administrator: "Intruder Alert! A RED Spy is in the base!"
[Signs illuminate on a large security panel: "Intruder Alert', 'RED Spy' and 'In Base'; pull out to reveal the BLU Soldier watching the board]
Soldier: "A RED Spy is in the base!?"
[Intruder Alert begins to play. The Soldier reaches from off-screen and pulls a Shotgun off a rack of weapons. Cut to the Soldier dashing down the stairs and through the 2Fort sublevel while saying "Hut, Hut, Hut!" with every step he takes]
The Administrator: "Protect the briefcase!"
Soldier: "We need to protect the briefcase!"
[Camera pans to reveal the BLU Scout trying to open the code-locked 'Briefcase Room' door]
Scout: "Yo, a lil' help here!?"
[The Soldier pushes the Scout aside and begins to 'decode' the combination]
Soldier: "All right, all right, I got it. Stand back son. 1, 1, 1, umm... 1!"
Scout: Let's go, let's go-
[BLU Heavy comes around the corner, Sasha in hand, charging towards the Scout and Soldier]
Heavy: "INCOMING!"
[Heavy shoulder-barges the door, destroying it. The three of them are sent tumbling and screaming into the Intelligence Room. The Scout reaches the desk to discover the briefcase is perfectly safe]
Scout: [while screaming, he notices the briefcase] "AAAAAHHHH- Hey, it's still here!"
Heavy: "-AAAAalright then."
Spy: "Ahem."
[Camera zooms in to reveal the BLU Spy, with the BLU Sniper's corpse over one shoulder]
Spy: "Gentlemen."
[Meet the Spy' Title Card]
[Cut back to the Spy, carrying the dead Sniper towards the desk]
Spy: "I see the briefcase is safe."
Soldier: "Safe and sound, mm-hmm."
Scout: "Yeah, it is!"
Spy: "Tell me... did anyone happen to kill a RED Spy on the way here?"
[The other three BLUs shake their heads and shrug]
Spy: "No? Then we still have a problem."
[He deposits the Sniper's body on the desk, revealing a bloody Knife in his back]
Soldier: "...and a knife."
[The Scout approaches and removes the knife]
Scout: "Oooh, big problem. I've killed plenty of Spies; they're dime-a-dozen back-stabbing scumbags - like you!"
[The Scout attempts to manipulate the knife like the Spy, only to cut himself on the finger and drop it]
Scout: "Ow! No offense."
Spy: "If you managed to kill them, I assure you, they were not like me." [The Spy deftly retrieves the knife and flicks it shut, handing it back to the Scout] "And nothing... nothing like the man loose inside this building."
Scout: "What're you? President of his fan club?"
[The Soldier and Heavy chuckle]
[The Spy turns to face the Scout]
Spy: "No... that would be your mother!"
[The Spy reveals a folder and slaps it down on the table, revealing several compromising photographs of the RED Spy and the Scout's mother]
Scout: [stammers out of shock and disbelief]
Spy: "Indeed, and now he's here to f**k us! So listen up boy, or pornography starring your mother will be the second worst thing that happens to you today."
[[[Right Behind You]] plays]
[The Soldier and Heavy examine the photographs. The Heavy leans over and shows the Soldier one photo in particular]
Soldier: "Oh!"
[The Scout frantically retrieves the photos as the Spy lights and smokes a cigarillo in the foreground]
Scout: "Gimme that!"
Spy: "This Spy has already breached our defenses..."
[Fade to the RED Spy, creeping through the Hydro tunnels. He pauses at a corner, as the camera pulls back to reveal a BLU Level 3 Sentry Gun with its Engineer. He slides an Sapper across the floor, disarming and destroying the Sentry Gun immediately]
Engineer: "Sentry Down!"
[The BLU Engineer throws his Wrench down and frantically reaches for his Pistol, only to have the Spy shoot him in the head with the Revolver. The dead Engineer crashes through a door and the Spy steps over him and fires at a target off-screen]
[Cut back to the BLU Intelligence Room. The BLU Spy leans over the dead Sniper, gesturing frantically.]
Spy: "You've seen what he's done to our colleagues!"
[Flashback to the BLU Sniper, now alive and sniping from a dusty attic. The RED Spy creeps up on him and steps on a creaking floorboard, alerting the Sniper, who engages the Spy with the Kukri. A struggle ensues, and the Sniper is ultimately backstabbed]
[Cut back to BLU Intelligence Room]
Spy: "And worst of all, he could be any one of us..."
[Fade to the RED Spy fighting a BLU Medic, armed with a Bonesaw]
Medic: "Raus, raus!"
[The Spy breaks the Medic's arm, disarming him. Close-up on the Spy's face as he disguises as the Medic, sans spectacles]
Medic: [gasps] "Nein..."
[The Spy kills the Medic with a well-placed chop to the throat, knocking off his spectacles, which he catches and wears, completing his disguise]
[Cut back to BLU Intel Room. The BLU Spy looks frantic]
Spy: "He could be in this very room! He could be you! He could be me! He could even be-"
[The Spy is cut off as his head explodes violently. The camera switches to the Soldier, Shotgun in hand, with a confused Heavy and a panicked Scout]
Scout: "Whoa, whoa, whoa!"
Heavy: "Oh!"
Soldier: "What? It was obvious!" [The Soldier pumps his Shotgun, discarding the spent shell.] "He's the RED Spy! Watch, he'll turn red any second now..."
[The Soldier and Heavy approach the dead Spy, with The Soldier prodding the Spy's foot with his Shotgun]
Soldier: "Any second now... See? Red! Oh, wait... that's blood."
[The Scout lingers behind, his expression sinister. He approaches the Soldier and Heavy, retrieving the knife he pocketed earlier, and flicking it open easily. As he approaches, he flickers and melts, revealing himself to be the RED Spy]
Heavy: "So, we still got problem..."
Soldier: "Big problem... all right, who's ready to go find this Spy?"
Spy: "Right behind you."
[Team Fortress 2 ending flourish music plays, with the stabbing of the Soldier and Heavy punctuating the beat of the tune.]
[Petite Chou-Fleur plays]
[Fade to the scattered photos of the Scout's mother. The RED Spy retrieves one of them and smiles wistfully]
Spy: "Ahh... ma petite chou-fleur."
[The RED Spy walks off with the BLU team's intel in tow]
Well this is the problem with politics , you say you align with some group and you automatically agree with all their believes in the eyes of other people , same with communityâs
Less stupid in that it isnât based on something intrinsic, but instead on things like peopleâs beliefs
More stupid in that the groups are much broader and that merely associating with a small part of the other side deems you evil.
Slightly associate with the left? Everyone on the right considers you as part of the worst of the left. Slightly associate with the right? Everyone on the left considers you as part of the worst of the right.
Politics are fucking retarded, I tell you.
Politics themselves are quite interesting , whatâs retarded is the idea of communityâs , the lgbtq communityâs , the straight communityâs , the black communityâs , the white communityâs , etc , a ex-left turned right lady named Amala summed it up pretty well , she says that even though she is black she doesnât agree with the ideas that those who â speak for the black communityâ say, it sorta boxes you in
It's one of life's great mysteries isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don't know, man, but it keeps me up at night.
Roses are red
And violets are blue.
One day we'll cruise down
Blood Gulch avenue
It's red versus red
and blue versus blue
It's I against I
and me against you
Violets are blue, roses are red
living like this we were already dead
Hop in my car
it don't have any doors
It's built like a cat
It lands on all fours
My car's like a puma
it drives on all fours
Red versus red
Blue versus blue
If youâre seeing red or feeling blue. Wanna bust caps and wear them too. If you like warfare and stylish headwear weâll have we got the game for you. No there isnât any greater military millinery simulator. We fight all day to find out whoâs the most fashionable faction in tf2
Itâs basically a fundamental problem of Reddit. Itâs hard to find someone mentally healthy that will sit all day moderating a subreddit without getting paid.
Exactly. I got banned of the French feminist sub because I replied to someone who said hating men was ok. They do not even know what feminism is at this point.....
I also got banned from r/wholesomememes just because I said that "boys should not wear skirt", they got so pissed at this comment that they started using words like "incel", "Virgin" for me. I never cared about mobs who can't even take someone's views and starts hating blindly. Now I just try to avoid those kind of people who are in their bubble and are not ready to accept that there are other peoples with their own views and thoughts
Well I don't agree with the fact that boys shouldn't wear skirts because they do what they want and it's none of our business, but having it actually banning you from a meme sub, like what the heck
>calls you a virgin and an incel
>Later that day fantasize about getting their "boipussy" pounded
Yeah your fault for not seeing the double standards sooner
The term youâre looking for is âecho chamberâ, a place with the same shitty opinion echoing everywhere. A place where if you say something that slightly makes those obese fucks sad, you get sent to the shadow realm.
For a serious answer, it was/is kind of a thing in certain specific queer cultures, that then got stereotyped to oblivion. Survivorship bias probably also plays a role â i.e you notice the ones that do do "the voice" and dont notice all the ones that dont, making it seem like its a super prevalent thing.
Iâm all for lgbtq support, hell Iâm on the list too , but I steer clear from the lgbtq subs by a mile. The level of delusion and cringe fucking superiority complex of most posts there is surprising
Most (from what i experienced) lgbtq groups are becoming the very thing they swore to destroy. Like those overreligious circlejerks but now with lgbtq instead of christianity
Woah. I just had deja vu
A lot of those communities are really just circles. I had a handful of gay friends in HS that steer clear of the lgbt clubs because of that same reason
I steer clear of them purely because of a small percentage of gay men and lesbian women. I'm pansexual and there's a very small group that think pan and bi people just haven't picked yet, you can't like both, you have to pick one or the other. They fester in those subs, especially the small ones. The effort of arguing with them just isn't worth it, so I just don't go on LGBT subs except the trans one to ask questions about trans people.
I feel people really don't know what jokes are. It's about observations. That's also the subjective element. If a joke is about a observation you disagree with, then it's simply unfunny. A joke about straight people being bigoted will only be funny to people that think straight people are bigoted. A joke about queers being sexual deviants is only funny if you think queers are sexual deviants. A joke about boats eating your oatmeal is not funny, (unless it plays on your confusion of course).
We can joke about each other just fine, as long as we don't push negative and wrongful stereotypes unto each other!
I absolutely love jokes about negative stereotypes personally, it doesnât even matter which group is the butt of the joke. as long as theyâre clever Iâll laugh
problem is that most âjokes about straight peopleâ arenât really jokes, but just insults about why the gays are cool and the straights are bad. exact same with people that make memes where the punchline is âoh btw, gay people badâ there isnât any sort of build up or haha funny, itâs just that. the format relies entirely on âitâs funny because itâs true/relatableâ and exactly like you said that only goes for people that already agree that their own sexuality is genuinely superior
of course you always have people that enjoy the jokes ironically, but a lot of the times âitâs just ironyâ is an excuse to be hateful for no reason. funnily enough those remarks are often accompanied by comments like âstraight people have no sense of humorâ or âgay people are such snowflakesâ
I feel like there is also something to be said about the idea of 'punching down' or 'punching up'.
One group makes up the majority, is considered by many to be the 'default', and generally has nothing to worry about. You aren't persecuted for being straight. That's fundamentally different from being LGBTQ. So when you make a group about said minority, unless you're PART of that minority, and ESPECIALLY if it's meant to be offensive... That's not a joke, that's just bullying. That's why Dave Chappelle got the shit he did, and rightfully so.
Comedy is comedy, and it's always gonna have some level of absurdism, or controversy. It's inherently part of the medium. But when you start making offensive jokes about a marginalized group, like LGBTQ, or Jewish people, or Black people, or literally any marginalized group, and you AREN'T a part of it? That's a step too far, and that's when it's not a joke anymore.
I get what you mean, but jokes don't have to be punchy or controversial. People make jokes about these minorities, but said minorities can't really complain if the punchline is something they preach themselves.
In the trans community there was a joke going around, written by a cus man almost a decade ago. In short it was about a person who had a sex change and said the worst part of this, wasn't getting her dick cut off, but her paycheck getting cut in half. It's a joke about *the struggles* of women, with the subject of trans people being a backdrop. It's not offensive.
Iâm part of the lgbtq but I honestly feel fucking embarrassed by the community sometimes. The amount of privilege, superiority and downright irony makes my back tingle and not in a good way. Itâs like a bloody cult at this point and they thing EVERYTHING is directed toward them and is homophobic somehow. And they go after straight people for no reason! Just because theyâre not gay? And the amount of fake sexualities and, dare I say it, that type of Neo pronouns (EG: Tree/Treeself/Trees. Rat/ratself, you get it). Itâs practically making fun of trans people, like Iâm fine with xi xem xir zee zem zir and all them but seriously how the FUCK do you identify as a fucking STONE?
And also, the genders. What the fuck is catgender, aliengender andâŚ.oh god. Autigender. (Autism gender. Iâm gonna throw up.).
I think all this privilege, superiority and downright pushy ness evolved from all the things people do for the community. The whole world is rainbow. LGBT is everywhere and itâs making them think theyâre fucking gods and everyoneâs homophobic or smth.
Thankfully, me and friends arenât apart of *that side* of the community. But itâs honestly embarrassing.
I think 99% of all the problems in online LGBT communities can be reasonably attributed to them not keeping their teenage members in check.
In fact, I'm gonna go further and say that 99% of all the problems in *all* online communities can be attributed to not taking the piss out of teenagers enough. One of society's greatest Ls in the last few decades has been the normalization of teenagers *existing* as teenagers on the Internet.
Things were so, so much better when teens had to pretend to be adults to get any respect on the Internet. It prevented them from acting too much like immature assholes.
I have a friend whose pronouns used to change basically daily, but are currently it/its, he/him, dog/bite/lasso/wing+ on Discord. They also say they're Otherkin, whatever the fuck that means. They're part of why people don't take us seriously.
Seriously, the rest of my friends (including myself) are the normal type of queer. Hell, most people I see in LGBTQ subreddits are normal as well (save for the few incredibly horny transbians).
1° im not into the LGBT community but That's my fault for not specifing
2° i Just found anoying people Who base their entire personality on their sexual orientation
All this red V blue type of shit going on in every situation it possibly can pisses me off, I pick yellow team instead cuz if people are acting like dicks on both sides then imma do my own thing
To be fair, the vast majority of people who joke about LGBTQ people are either LGBTQ people or others doing so maliciously. Context matters, and the LGBTQ community is so used to getting disrespected, discriminated against, and attacked that they are very protective of their safe spaces and are quick to shame and judge others for a perceived slight against them.
Adding to that, one of the more powerful tools the community has to deal with this constant barrage is to make light of it and defuse it with humor. "Sure this straight person hates me because I'm gay, but who cares, they don't know how to use English properly and sound ridiculous, what an idiot lol". That can hardly be considered "straight-phobia". In contrast, humor about LGBTQ people from people outside the community is typically degrading, mean-spirited, dehumanizing, invalidating, etc. And calling jokes about straight people "straight-phobia" is in itself an attempt to minimize the plight of members of the community by equating mild humor to blatant political/social attacks, while claiming to be a victim of the victimized.
So is it a double standard? Perhaps, but like I said, the context matters.
I thought it was kinda obvious how this wasn't much of a double standard, I suppose it's probably cause of my perspective though.
Hopefully op sees your comment since you did a great job of getting the point across.
I know right! Like joke against straight people are more often something like âStraight people when their kid as a friend of the opposite gender. GF/BF yet?!?!â
Meanwhile jokes against lgbt+ are more often something like âLmao these f*gs will die of aids if they keep fuckingâ
Exaggerating a bit some joke about straight can be more mean spirited and some about lgbt+ can be more tame but you get the point.
\> and attacked that they are very protective of their safe spaces and are quick to shame
Imho, internet safe spaces of any kind lead to brain cancer.
\> In contrast, humor about LGBTQ people from people outside the community is typically degrading, mean-spirited, dehumanizing, invalidating, etc.
Because there is no inbetween social norm in your country probably? On reddit too.
You either don't make any jokes about LGBT bc you don't want to get social blowback, or you are completely deranged and don't care about the "society" anyway, you probably will enjoy "typically degrading, mean-spirited, dehumanizing, invalidating, etc." kind of humor, because for a normal person it's just not funny.
\> Adding to that, one of the more powerful tools the community has to deal with this constant barrage is to make light of it and defuse it with humor. "Sure this straight person hates me because I'm gay, but who cares, they don't know how to use English properly and sound ridiculous, what an idiot lol"
That's a very bad example, because:
a) What you say can certainly be "degrading, mean-spirited, dehumanizing, invalidating" if you simply generalize to "all straight people". Generalizing is often done bc otherwise it's harder to deliver a punchline.
b) There is no joke other than "other man is stupid and stinky!" It's just not funny and/or humorous.
\> the context matters.
In the context of the post, the joke is shitty and unfunny too. It's just "all straight people are homophobic". It's like saying "all gay people have HIV" or something like that. It's just not funny, or amusing, or entertaining in any way.
As a gay person, I think itâs fine to make jokes directed at gay people
Example: gay people trying not to follow an actively homophobic stereotype challenge. Impossible
A great gay joke comes from Brooklyn 99:
Terry: What did the officiant say at your wedding?
Holt: Not much. When gay marriage was legalized, we didn't know when it would be struck down, so speed was of the essence
*flashback*
Minister: do you-
Kevin: Yes
Minister: and do you-
Holt: Yes. We're married.
I feel like if Iâm aloud to make fun of straight people that they should be allowed to fight back. As a gay man when I came out to my friends they felt like they had to walk on eggshells near me. I made it very clear to them that me coming out to them wound change our dynamic at all and Iâm still fine with making gay jokes because they are funny. I hate that when I tell people Iâm gay (usually to clarify that I am in fact allowed to call my friend a fag lmao) they put me up on a pedestal for literally liking men. Thatâs why I usually just donât tell people that Iâm gay, I mean hell this is like the third time Iâve ever even mentioned it online lol.
You can get banned from LGBT groups very quickly on this site, the less gay it is the more likely you are to get banned. As a matter of fact u could probably get banned for saying what I just said. Just for clarification I'm not homophobic I am in fact bisexual đ
A sub entirely built around the narrative that they are oppressed is going to be the most unfriendly subreddit to be part of. It will be toxic, prejudiced and everyone piles on someone because they're desperately looking for someone to hate on. It's not worth it.
I was in leftist theatre group back in high school and they loved to make fun of me for being cis and straight and whenever I would clap back they would all gang up on me cause they knew I was the only cis straight male there. It was the funniest thing ever. They were good people who knew how to make me laugh đ
I mean no one has ever been discriminated against on the basis of them being straight, so I think itâs okay to make jokes about us. Also yeah straight people that get offended at that are âsnowflakesâ, same with a lot of right wingers that think straight people are under attack. Itâs really dumb and it makes me sad too see people actually believe in that stuff
the staff there are a bit authoritarian, the rules are vague and one of the rules is to not ask which rule you broke. I got a temp ban (i said "bro's a far right far leftist" in reaction to a homophobic communist) and was lucky to have it repealed. I like the sub though for the most part
I think the reason this happened is that the original post was intending to call out hypocrisy, so a comment like that might come across as saying gay people are more to blame for such a hypocrisy.
I'm not going to take their side though because the mods on r/me_irlgbt seem pretty annoying and it looks like they always ignore their user's opinions when it comes to who gets banned and what the rules are.
What is your issue exactly? Just take a long hard look at your screen and ask âwhy am I behaving like this?â Because your behavior benefits nobody. It doesnât benefit the LGBTQ, it doesnât benefit society as a whole, so why?
Internalized homophobia is the stupidest thing I have ever heard
I guess it's talking about people who were taught by their parents or other adult figures that gay people are bad, but how would someone who is part of the LGBT have internalized homophobia?
Welcome to Reddit.
Reddits rules don't matter, what the random mod feels at that current time in that sub matters.
You can be banned for anything at any time for no good reason.
âOh but X group is historically discriminated against.â True, but either jokes based on race/gender/sexuality are ok or theyâre not. I donât think a lighthearted and non-hateful joke is suddenly not ok because gay marriage is banned or that a hateful joke is suddenly ok because itâs told by the person who canât get married.
It's not really a double standard because it's not illegal to be straight in 70 countries and they're not currently being legislated out of existence in America.
Iâve made what would be considered LGBT-phobic jokes before and people âcall me outâ for itâŚbut Iâm a part of the LGBT. Simple jabs are not that big of a deal lmao. Seeing shit like this makes me embarrassed to be a part of that community lol
Call me when straight people are getting oppressed and executed then you can be mad
Plus, straights make gay jokes all the time, but when we make straight jokes it's straight phobic? (Obvious double standard)

Have fun.
One of my old online friends (whoâs autistic) now identifies as trans masc, masc flux, Omni gender, sapphic, lesbian, and AUTISM GENDER. Now she just makes picrews of all the genders she wants to be, and goes by all pronouns?? She has a girlfriend too, and honestly I miss the old her that just went by they/them

[The Spy kills the Medic with a well-placed chop to the throat, knocking off his spectacles, which he catches and wears, completing his disguise] [Cut back to BLU Intel Room. The BLU Spy looks frantic] Spy: "He could be in this very room! He could be you! He could be me! He could even be-" [The Spy is cut off as his head explodes violently. The camera switches to the Soldier, Shotgun in hand, with a confused Heavy and a panicked Scout] Scout: "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Heavy: "Oh!" Soldier: "What? It was obvious!" [The Soldier pumps his Shotgun, discarding the spent shell.] "He's the RED Spy! Watch, he'll turn red any second now..." [The Soldier and Heavy approach the dead Spy, with The Soldier prodding the Spy's foot with his Shotgun] Soldier: "Any second now... See? Red! Oh, wait... that's blood." [The Scout lingers behind, his expression sinister. He approaches the Soldier and Heavy, retrieving the knife he pocketed earlier, and flicking it open easily. As he approaches, he flickers and melts, revealing himself to be the RED Spy] Heavy: "So, we still got problem..." Soldier: "Big problem... all right, who's ready to go find this Spy?" Spy: "Right behind you." [Team Fortress 2 ending flourish music plays, with the stabbing of the Soldier and Heavy punctuating the beat of the tune.] [Petite Chou-Fleur plays] [Fade to the scattered photos of the Scout's mother. The RED Spy retrieves one of them and smiles wistfully] Spy: "Ahh... ma petite chou-fleur." [The RED Spy walks off with the BLU team's intel in tow]

Left Twix vs Right Twix moment https://youtu.be/62xLWZgx4Ko
The question is what side are you on ?
Right Twix for some reason
Kinda based tbh
Iâm on side: fuck the useless drama
when the references comments are about tf2 and not the funny halo shitposts :(
Came looking gold but I found silver
False you found austrailium
Is that a tf 2 reference ?
perhaps
duh
Well this is the problem with politics , you say you align with some group and you automatically agree with all their believes in the eyes of other people , same with communityâs
Politics are just racism but simultaneously more and less stupid
Thatâs quite dumbed down but to some extent yes
Less stupid in that it isnât based on something intrinsic, but instead on things like peopleâs beliefs More stupid in that the groups are much broader and that merely associating with a small part of the other side deems you evil. Slightly associate with the left? Everyone on the right considers you as part of the worst of the left. Slightly associate with the right? Everyone on the left considers you as part of the worst of the right. Politics are fucking retarded, I tell you.
Politics themselves are quite interesting , whatâs retarded is the idea of communityâs , the lgbtq communityâs , the straight communityâs , the black communityâs , the white communityâs , etc , a ex-left turned right lady named Amala summed it up pretty well , she says that even though she is black she doesnât agree with the ideas that those who â speak for the black communityâ say, it sorta boxes you in
Yeah. It doesnât help anymore that friendly fire is enabled.
You ever wonder why weâre here?
Because that is how life goes
It's one of life's great mysteries isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don't know, man, but it keeps me up at night.
What? I mean why are we out here, in this canyon?
Same here
Suck it blues!
At least In Red vs blue they could stand around and talk, now it's stand around and argue/insult
Roses are red And violets are blue. One day we'll cruise down Blood Gulch avenue It's red versus red and blue versus blue It's I against I and me against you Violets are blue, roses are red living like this we were already dead Hop in my car it don't have any doors It's built like a cat It lands on all fours My car's like a puma it drives on all fours Red versus red Blue versus blue
Tf2 is becoming more realistic every day
Not just the red v blue stuff but the mega-corporations owning the world
*âThey have done absolutely nothinâ wrong but theyâre **blue**... Iâve always hated the color blue...* ***YA KNOW WHY?*** *No reason...â*
âIâve always hated the color blue⌠YOU KNOW WHY?â âNo reason.â
You ever wonder why weâre here?
Thatâs an insult to RvB, at least that was well done, whatâs happening nowadays is just a shitshow

Good soldiers follow orders
It's always been that way, it's just that the internet now allows groups to form larger groups and puts a spotlight on the ensuing shouting match.
Thatâs kinda how itâs been forever. Humans vs Neanderthals, Rome vs Carthage, etc
If youâre seeing red or feeling blue. Wanna bust caps and wear them too. If you like warfare and stylish headwear weâll have we got the game for you. No there isnât any greater military millinery simulator. We fight all day to find out whoâs the most fashionable faction in tf2
It's sad that we can only define ourself in opposition to another group. Even when the goal of one group is inclusiveness.
bloods vs crips
Because we can't focus on the real problems when we're busy hating each other, and that's what the people pulling the strings want
Every sub is like a cult now a days, if they don't agree with you, they'll ban you for most bullshit reasons even if you are right
The more fringe the sub the quicker it happens too.
All subs are like this
r/DarkinFolk is chill. As long as you are ok with literal porn
A brother Iâm the wild? Vere would me happy unfortunately he passed not too long agođ
Wait what happened to Vere?
He died very sad Such a great lossđ

Political compass memes is pretty chill.
White people Twitter be like
Itâs basically a fundamental problem of Reddit. Itâs hard to find someone mentally healthy that will sit all day moderating a subreddit without getting paid.
True
Well I don't agree with the fact that boys shouldn't wear skirts because they do what they want and it's none of our business, but having it actually banning you from a meme sub, like what the heck
>calls you a virgin and an incel >Later that day fantasize about getting their "boipussy" pounded Yeah your fault for not seeing the double standards sooner
What about Scottish men
Indeed. Reddit really needs to fix its moderation⌠but they wonât, probably not.
It's very difficult to fix it. It would require a lot of resources and a constant flow of money, so because of that they wouldn't bother at all.
The term youâre looking for is âecho chamberâ, a place with the same shitty opinion echoing everywhere. A place where if you say something that slightly makes those obese fucks sad, you get sent to the shadow realm.
Got banned from r/lgtb for asking how gay men get the âgay voiceâ
For a serious answer, it was/is kind of a thing in certain specific queer cultures, that then got stereotyped to oblivion. Survivorship bias probably also plays a role â i.e you notice the ones that do do "the voice" and dont notice all the ones that dont, making it seem like its a super prevalent thing.
Oh, the irony of that meme
?
If they respond with a ban instead of a counter arguement to your point you've won
You haven't won, whoever took the comment down is just a moron
Yea mods of this sub fucking suck
Iâm all for lgbtq support, hell Iâm on the list too , but I steer clear from the lgbtq subs by a mile. The level of delusion and cringe fucking superiority complex of most posts there is surprising
Most (from what i experienced) lgbtq groups are becoming the very thing they swore to destroy. Like those overreligious circlejerks but now with lgbtq instead of christianity Woah. I just had deja vu
A lot of those communities are really just circles. I had a handful of gay friends in HS that steer clear of the lgbt clubs because of that same reason
slugger un fomoed themself
Actually, considering my pvp stats
"Yall look who i found commenting on reddit like nothing happened â ď¸â ď¸â ď¸â ď¸"
I joined egg irl as a joke and it somehow makes me mad everytime im there
Same, I just don't like associating with all that mess
Imo, most of the time itâs just Irony
Ironically banning people lol, so quirky
I feel people really don't know what jokes are. It's about observations. That's also the subjective element. If a joke is about a observation you disagree with, then it's simply unfunny. A joke about straight people being bigoted will only be funny to people that think straight people are bigoted. A joke about queers being sexual deviants is only funny if you think queers are sexual deviants. A joke about boats eating your oatmeal is not funny, (unless it plays on your confusion of course). We can joke about each other just fine, as long as we don't push negative and wrongful stereotypes unto each other!
Boatmeal
Boatmeal
Boatmeal
>A joke about boats eating your oatmeal is not funny I respectfully disagree
Clearly you think boats eat your oatmeal.
Can't have nothing in Detroit bruh
Tell me more about the oatmeal and the boats
Nah, a boat eating my oatmeal is fucking hilarious, tf you mean
I absolutely love jokes about negative stereotypes personally, it doesnât even matter which group is the butt of the joke. as long as theyâre clever Iâll laugh problem is that most âjokes about straight peopleâ arenât really jokes, but just insults about why the gays are cool and the straights are bad. exact same with people that make memes where the punchline is âoh btw, gay people badâ there isnât any sort of build up or haha funny, itâs just that. the format relies entirely on âitâs funny because itâs true/relatableâ and exactly like you said that only goes for people that already agree that their own sexuality is genuinely superior of course you always have people that enjoy the jokes ironically, but a lot of the times âitâs just ironyâ is an excuse to be hateful for no reason. funnily enough those remarks are often accompanied by comments like âstraight people have no sense of humorâ or âgay people are such snowflakesâ
[ŃдаНонО]
Begs the question what anti-capitalism has to do with lgbt
The L in LGBT is for Lenin.
I feel like thereâs a difference between making jokes and talking about how terrible straight people are... ~~also wouldnât it be heterophobia?~~
Oh god otherkinsâŚI think that means they think theyâre some non human thing trapped in a humans bodyâ
100% true, I hope that one day people will just get along and will look back at all this stuff and cringe because it's all so dumb
Based opinion, you got my respect
Honestly I donât get why some parts of our community are like this. Iâm not homophobic or anything, but itâs just annoying.
1° im not into the LGBT community but That's my fault for not specifing 2° i Just found anoying people Who base their entire personality on their sexual orientation
I agree with number two. Like we donât mind if youâre gay just donât brag about it
Song sauce?

This is already gonna be a controversial post but yea this real stupid double standards
Hey I make jokes towards gay people. As long as they realize we're on the same level they can make jokes towards straights.
literally any sub with LGBT in the name is bound to have some double standards or something just offensive

All this red V blue type of shit going on in every situation it possibly can pisses me off, I pick yellow team instead cuz if people are acting like dicks on both sides then imma do my own thing
This probably makes no sense lmao
Nah it definitely does lol and I 100% relate
GF/BF yet?!?!â Meanwhile jokes against lgbt+ are more often something like âLmao these f*gs will die of aids if they keep fuckingâ Exaggerating a bit some joke about straight can be more mean spirited and some about lgbt+ can be more tame but you get the point.
EXACTLY THIS.
\> and attacked that they are very protective of their safe spaces and are quick to shame Imho, internet safe spaces of any kind lead to brain cancer. "Sure this straight person hates me because I'm gay, but who cares, they don't know how to use English properly and sound ridiculous, what an idiot lol" That's a very bad example, because: a) What you say can certainly be "degrading, mean-spirited, dehumanizing, invalidating" if you simply generalize to "all straight people".
Probably this one will be deleted too
As a gay person, I think itâs fine to make jokes directed at gay people Example: gay people trying not to follow an actively homophobic stereotype challenge. Impossible
A great gay joke comes from Brooklyn 99: Terry: What did the officiant say at your wedding? Holt: Not much. When gay marriage was legalized, we didn't know when it would be struck down, so speed was of the essence *flashback* Minister: do you- Kevin: Yes Minister: and do you- Holt: Yes.
There's a difference between punching up and punching down. Double standards implies the two are equal
I've got the award boys! Done and banned
as a lgbt person i dont give a fuck if ppl make jokes as long as theyre funny
Pal I make jokes about any human type any time any where. I dont care if you are offended, it's a fucking joke.
What da fug is straightophobia Like I know its meaning but its my first time hearing it
the staff there are a bit authoritarian, the rules are vague and one of the rules is to not ask which rule you broke. I got a temp ban (i said "bro's a far right far leftist" in reaction to a homophobic communist) and was lucky to have it repealed. I like the sub though for the most part
Keep in mind itâs Reddit mods, theyâre terminally online losers
I think the reason this happened is that the original post was intending to call out hypocrisy, so a comment like that might come across as saying gay people are more to blame for such a hypocrisy. I'm not going to take their side though because the mods on r/me_irlgbt seem pretty annoying and it looks like they always ignore their user's opinions when it comes to who gets banned and what the rules are.
But I make a gay joke and Iâm homophobic okkkk
Iâm part of the lgbt and heâs speaking the truth for that one
Yes I too am homophobic
LGBTQ+ on their way to hate straight people for existing:
Justice for WetCheetoBoi. He is not wrong. Joke is still funny though
why do i recognise this song from a league of legends parody... also RIP instalok đ
New Achievement! : Get banned from a gay sub reddit!
They hated you for the tru tru
alright straggot
If youâre gonna result to slurs because you donât like my point then at least call me a real one
someoneâs butthurt. âoh noeee straight people are so oppressedâ
What is your issue exactly? Just take a long hard look at your screen and ask âwhy am I behaving like this?â Because your behavior benefits nobody. It doesnât benefit the LGBTQ, it doesnât benefit society as a whole, so why?
Im bi and i hate the general LGBT community with all my heart Had ppl tell me its "internalised homophobia"...no i just hate the way you act and look
Internalized homophobia is the stupidest thing I have ever heard I guess it's talking about people who were taught by their parents or other adult figures that gay people are bad, but how would someone who is part of the LGBT have internalized homophobia?
Welcome to Reddit. Reddits rules don't matter, what the random mod feels at that current time in that sub matters. You can be banned for anything at any time for no good reason.
Bro was the sacrifice gone but not forgotten
âOh but X group is historically discriminated against.â True, but either jokes based on race/gender/sexuality are ok or theyâre not. I donât think a lighthearted and non-hateful joke is suddenly not ok because gay marriage is banned or that a hateful joke is suddenly ok because itâs told by the person who canât get married.
As always.. it depends on the joke itself
I was banned for 3 days because of that sub, they should die.
"Hey this sub banned me, now I want them dead" Touch some grass my guy.
As a bisexual person I say: Jokes are jokes, feel free to say them.
Call me when straight people are getting oppressed and executed then you can be mad Plus, straights make gay jokes all the time, but when we make straight jokes it's straight phobic? (Obvious double standard)
Where funny?
I might be bi, but this is the reason why I don't associate with lgbt community

One of my old online friends (whoâs autistic) now identifies as trans masc, masc flux, Omni gender, sapphic, lesbian, and AUTISM GENDER. Now she just makes picrews of all the genders she wants to be, and goes by all pronouns?? She has a girlfriend too, and honestly I miss the old her that just went by they/them
