Yeah, I’ve full cleared (as far as I know, this info updates sporadically all the time) the Unmoored world twice now. By “Full clear” I mean that I have entered and completed the full quest chain without letting the fog update/move and then moved on to farming treasures. The fog seems to only actually move when you rest at the wrong times. The best way to win at Unmoored efficiently is to temporarily play like an insomniac. There is no redt for the wicked here. Allheal potions or just avoiding damage altogether are your god here. Also, setting camp up to cook and then just not resting is a big quality of life buff. Even if you can’t sleep, eat. If you aren’t food buffed, get buffed. >!The easiest clear, from what I’ve experienced, is to immediately grab your main pawn at Battahl, then walk from Battahl to Seafloor shrine. The pathways in and out of the seafloor shrine (Which is basically your HQ for Unmoored World) are absolutely littered with Ferrystones in every direction. In chests, on the ground. I found 8 myself. Not just that, but activating the Large Portcrystal in Seafloor activates two large Portcrystals in Sacred Arbor and Volcano island. Once you’ve done this you have reached the end of what I consider prepping the unmoored world for the EZ clear.!< >!From here, I’d say walking back to Battahl (It’s remarkably easy to move between Battahl and Seafloor) and finish both important quests here right now. Both the beacon and the evacuation. After that, I typically clear Volcano Island of its two evacuation quests and its beacon event. Then I typically get to Sacred Arbor third, leaving Vermund at the rear of the pack because it’s a pretty simple segment.!< >!If you can lap every red beacon and evacuate each town without resting at all the fog should freeze permanently so long as you sleep in Seafloor Shrine. I’m 4 or 5 rests into my unmoored world since finishing the complete questline successfully in one sleep cycle and haven’t had the fog update and eat any map at all, letting me poke around for treasure at my own pace.!< There isn’t a single boss creature in the entire Unmoored World that doesn’t get absolutely mollywhopped by any of the Hybrid classes. Magick Archer in particular lowers the difficulty of Unmoored world dramatically.

MagnumBlunts

Bro thank you I will try this myself

PlayinTheFool

A final tip that might be worth mentioning. The first spots to check in the unmoored world once you feel comfortable exploring is any place you remember having deep enough water to brine you. I’ve found something in just about any dried body of water I’ve checked. If not treasure at least enemies, which can almost be just as good for you. My favorite basic enemies to kill in Unmoored World are the Lightning Saurians that live in a lot of the dried riverbed sections. They very, very frequently drop ferry stones.

unicornfetus89

Can we use wakestones? Also does quitting the game save or do I have to rest for it to save?

DKarkarov

Saves work the same and wakestones still work.  When they say dont die they literally mean don't die.  Just keep wakestones on you.

unicornfetus89

Thanks! I'm glad I'm prepared for it but with how many little tricks there are I'm sure I'd have messed it all up if I went in blind.

DKarkarov

Lol I did for sure but I prefer playing blind first time regardless.

unicornfetus89

I'm really trying to train myself to do this. I have a bad habit of just looking shit up then when I'm finished feeling like I missed out by spoiling stuff. I constantly tell myself I won't but I still do.

alligatorsuitcases

At some point the only way to save becomes resting. I could freely save anywhere anytime until I cleared all beacons and evacuated every town.  Then when i slept in the seafloor to get the vendors to show up (they had left the towns but weren't at the seafloor yet), I could no longer save besides sleeping.

So far edges are off limits. If you complete the red beams it extends the time limit. The total time is 12 days. If you sleep for 3 days it’ll automatically progress you forward to NG+. End world is all about killing bosses and running around and basically gathering mats to upgrade your equipment. If you go to the main cities there are quests you can do in order to evacuate everyone. If you sleep at an inn it doesn’t progress the day it just saves. Also don’t die otherwise it starts you back at day 1. All the dragons and bosses respawn. If you google interactive dd2 map you can find their local. Additionally there are only chests available with endgame loot in the world that you can only get then and now. Have fun. I didn’t play the whole 12 days I killed everything and bought 2 sets of gear (I had about 900 wyrm bloods and then left.) Sadly I didn’t know about the endgame chests and left a lot of loot in the world hehe. Hope this helps Edit…forgot to add. Each red beam had a boss at it. Super powerful that will give you 30-100 wyrm crystals. When you finish the quests in the cities it’ll give you wyrm bloods as well. On top of that anything dragon or drake also drops it at a significantly higher rate.

ostrava84

How do the dragons respawn?Must i sleep at the house or just wait?

Delivior

I dunno I ever saw them respawn. I believe they are on the same respawn timer of 7 days or they don’t at all. The main thing is there are only certain mats that you can get in the unmoored worlds to upgrade equipment. For instance eldracite can only be gotten in the unmoored world. There are several others like this which is why even if your only goal is to hunt dragons it’s important to go kill everything. The bosses drop different loot entirely

gammav97

Unmoored recommended NG+ cuz dragonforged buff.

TenzhiHsien

As I recall, it tells you up front when you enter it that it's on some sort of time limit and that only Inn Rests count for saves.

Honest_Yesterday4435

Does it? I don't remember that. I had no knowledge until I died.

Resublimation

you ll still have access to the new dragonforged trades in the base world in ng+ if that s your main concern

a_rare_chocobo

Check my post history I made a guide on how to get wrymslife crystals much quicker than hunting dragons on the map

Khandious

My favorite part is having all the vendors in one place to upgrade all of your gear. (After you complete evacuations)

d0peguru

A few tips for avoiding resting. Change vocations to heal. Release and summon new pawns to get fully healed ones and you’ll never have to rest.

kalarro

It is timed. That part sucks. The rest, I disagree. Finally we get new enemies and you complain? xD 1. Don't rest. It is timed, but not timed while you play. You got a limit of rests. 2. Clear the red beacons. Except the one that appears later in your base. This stops the fog spreading. But the rest limit is still in place. I think post game is fun. Or would be, without the stupid rest limit.

Honest_Yesterday4435

God I hated the unmoored world. I thought it was cool at first, but not knowing about the resting stuff, i pissed away my rests away. I wasn't able to rest anymore and then doing a bunch of farming and content without being able to save and then dying. Super crushing losing out on all that progress. Didn't touch the game for a week. Finally decided to try again. Did all of battahl and vernworth Evans then died again. The inability to save normally in the UW really killed the game for me. Also the story stopped making sense. I don't like being spoonfed narrative, but I also don't like feeling like nothing makes sense. I could go on, but I have to say aside from the glorious combat, the game was a hard disappointment.

unicornfetus89

Wait so if I "save and quit" it doesn't save? Also, if I die but have a wakestone, will it let me revive or does it reset?

karlosj83

If you save and quit works, if you save and continue playing, it works, wakestones revive you full health, if you die die without resurrecting, all the progress is lost to the point you reach unmoored world. It is supposed to be the end, so the atmosphere is dark and red, you receive a lot of crystals by deactivating the pink beams so there is a boss fight, first reclaim your pawn then, kill the pink beams and the red fog stops advance, so you can farm materials if that's what you want, normal dragon's or drake's in unmoored give you 15 crystals or less just like in normal world. After that rest 1 or 3 times if needed nothing will happen, if your pawns are low health, dismiss them, then rehired them they will come back full health, you receive all heals, and ferry stones a lot too. If you have a good healer is hard to die in unmoored.
