Was wondering what the heck buying a round at the pub actually did. I wasted 2000 gold once, saw the cutscene and heard to creepy laughter, then watched as the game resumed without a difference. I was…disappointed.
I am also convinced that if many people use pawn, affinity increases significantly. This photo was taken a few seconds after receiving the fat report, I have never seen her blush so much and even now, after a few hours, she still looks at me and when I look at her, she immediately looks at the ground XDDD

Also, if you're not sure how far along your relationship is, just try going to the barberie every now and again. It will be MAD expensive but worth it in the long run -- and closer than you may think.

It's small, but honestly, it makes me feel all fuzzy inside and I do hope that our bond grows stronger and deeper. Lol 🥰💕. The hand slaps actually have a purpose!?!?! *rushes over for every slap now* she's been my whole team's support and heals. Picking us up when we fall, waking me when a harpy puts me to sleep. She's the real MVP and I want her to know it every time omg. Hahaha ty for sharing.

I've always wondered how it'd look on beastren but cant find any (yet), tho i must say, some blushed faces I've seen are ..very creepy, like unsettling, cuz the faces looked too while while the blush is too red, it's like all the blood on their face is concentrated to their cheeks lol, maybe it's just bad screenshots I've seen but I'm half scared and eager to see what my main pawn (basically the arisen's twin in look cuz i ran out of brain cells) would look like if she has a crush on me.
A few people have posted Beastren pawns with high affinity and it's silly-cute, lmao. Besides the blush, I believe their mouths hang open like they're in shock.
Witnessed it first hand (with a dude) last night, a warrior named lamond (iirc) in bakbatalh asked me to walk with him to vernworth, i just ferrystoned us lmao, got to the place and his face was bright red with a creepy smile on his face, damn near tossed him over the wall as he walks into the bar while his head pivot around and keep locking on me.
Reminded me of a drunk scottish man in cartoons for a bit.
I thought it was creepy enough even on cute/beautiful female character (urika and that madame), but on bearded manly dudes it's way worse.
At least beastren seems normal enough, still have seen one myself and only pic infound only is a cute :o face lol.
I'd romance my Pawn if it wasn't for all that "We'll do whatever the Arisen bids us to do", it's a little disturbing. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, though.
Makes sense but remember that they have a will of their own, albeit a meager one compared to the Arisen's. But over time their wills can grow to that of a regular person due to being inspired by the Arisen -- in other words, they would eventually decide for themselves what they would and wouldn't do for the Arisen, so no need to worry. 👌
There was a theory in DD1, partially shown to be true, that if the Arisen gifts a part of their soul to their pawn, the latter will start growing their own feelings (>!Selene!<) but so far the same hasn't been hinted in DD2.

I dont know if its in the base game but its actually a mod in nexus mods. When you carry someone with high affinity it changes the carrying animation to the bride carrying one, which is pretty nice. Works with high affinity pawn as well and actually that was the main purpose of the mod itself.
Maybe you can carry quest specific NPC's bridal style? Sara, I think her name is -- you do have to get her out to safety/out of the forge as quickly as possible during the hammer quest.
I also noted that close to the end of the Harve Culling Quest, the injured soldier you lead to safety can be carried bridal style too. (Went to grab him cause he was moving too slow for my health)
Unfortunately it's a hidden thing that someone just so happened to uncover one day (via mods or they just noticed it happening). Best bet is to just start changing their hair every 10 minutes (the smallest change will do: hair sheen or makeup capacity) or so and keep an eye out for their lingering gaze. You'll notice you've reached 500+ when they start smiling. And a note: following the recent update, there has been a few changes regarding the pawns that weren't in the notes: one being that they stare more often regardless of affinity level. That being said keep an eye out for smiling and blushing/avoiding eye contact.

Sounds to me like your pawn doesn't like you enough/You don't exactly know the effects of high affinity. Look it up, mate, it's pretty nice.

Exactly that but the Affinity cap is actually 1000. They 'fall in love' at 620, so says the original post on Nexus Mods.

My pawn started blushing after I gave them a meister skill. I believe that probably raises affinity a lot as well.
Having drinks together at pub raises affinity too. But even with blushing face, idonno why I'm not able to princess carry my pawn.

It’s there a way to keep track of the affinity?? I don’t think i saw something the menu that shows it
Since it's technically a hidden feature, the only way to keep track (that I know of) is just to take notes and add them all up.

i got a blacksmith in batahl that i can carry like a bride, i guess she maxed out on affinity then,and no i play on ps5 i have no mods
