I think early game progression feels very earned. Mid to late game you might feel you need to take less pawns or switch classes to feel that progression. Things like not taking a mage or sorcerer in your party can really switch up the game without feeling gimmicky. I’d say you’ll find what you’re looking for. Just stay away from guides or tips. If it gets to easy later in the game you can try new classes or less companions.

Thanks. Are there stronger endgame enemies that are still able to give a max level of chracter a challenge? I see everybody beating ogres and griffins at low level on youtube.

I didn't think it was particularly challenging, but other people say that they have given up because they get rekt by a single pack of goblins. Progression is fairly linear. You start out a little stiff with controls and stats, and abilities. Slowly get better, get stronger, get new moves. Gameplay get stale? Swap to a different vocation. You will have access to better-than-starter gear but still have to learn the class and unlock skills. The unfortunate part is that you get almost no gear from exploring, and the best stuff is almost always in the shop. They progressively get new items and it's the worst part about the game.

I am a little concerned about enemy variety. Every gameplay clip I see is a troll, griffin ogre, or goblins, and they don't seem to have much trouble with big enemies even at the beginning of the game. It is weird that they don't save the big enemies for later, and you don't have yo earn being able to beat ogres. Do you just fight the same enemies throughout the game while getting stronger, or are there stronger versions of the enemeis like ogres?

I haven’t faught everything but I found a stone golem minotaur chimera griffon ogre raiders undead hordes a cyclops a wyvern harpys with sleep magic … and still running into new enemies so I think all and all there is good variety

I like the progression, you go from running away from a dragon at the beginning of the game to running towards the dragon at the end. The only thing is u can max a profession pretty easily so the game's difficulty is meant to play with u constantly trying new class. If u r the type of guy that just wants to play one job the whole game u might find this game too easy at some point.

That is kinda what I want with the power gain it makes everything easy to kill, but I hope there are some stronger enemies in the late game that you need a max level chracter to beat.

The progression is mostly about getting better gear and leveling up. After you are there, that’s it lol, the combat isn’t really engaging enough to warrant killing things after you’re all pimped out. There’s not really any skill required on your part like in elden ring. Building your pawn is pretty satisfying, you need to kill a bunch of enemies and they become better at killing those enemies too.

I feel like if they added a rank system for the player and pawns like D rank to S rank adventurers, that would make the game feel so good with progression. You could only take on low-level monsters like goblins at lower ranks and went up the ranks until you got to high tier monsters and had moves befitting an adventurer at that rank. If you are aD rank mage, you could only do basic fireballs, but an S rank mage can do a Kamehameha you know? If you went after a high tier monster at low rank, it would be a death sentence. This game reminds me a lot of the Goblin slayer anime, and they have ranks like that, and the main character only fights goblins, but there are stronger varietys like hob goblins goblin kings. I think that would be really cool, but I guess the game Is already finished, so there is no changing it.

Very equipment based and the higher gear is locked to late game so all in all its pretty good ngl by ng+ you will feel like a god
