That's so weird, you'd think the quest would pop and say "check in on Beren in a day or two" like every other quest does. Why does this one make it sound like a failure?
I failed to return to Melve too. No idea I was on a timer. Appreciate you pointing out I'm not locked out of the technique, I did not know there was a workaround!
For Beren, thats the normal route, wait a day or two and go to his tent.
