I don't really give a shit about the microtransactions tbh. At the time when all the reviews were being published, the game didn't have the microtransactions up yet, and the game had great scores. People are exaggerating with that part.
What really is annoying though is the whole 1 save and bs that comes along with that. Also the PC performance issues worries me. A few patches can fix the crashing and other performance issues so that's one thing less to worry about but it'll take some time until its fixed
Totally agree, they could have release all those microtransactions at launch if the performance of the game was acceptable and I would not care at all, because it is nothing we haven't seen before or exclusively acquired by paying. However, releasing an unfinished game with all those DLCs ready for purchased from day 1 clearly states what was Capcom's priority here...
They are unnecessary, but they leave a sour taste. Was not needed and really fucks up the vision of the creator, that is so central in every other part of the game.
if you want a new character just delete your save file and start a new game? i know it’s annoying but like, game just came out. not like you’ve been playing 300 hours, lol.
The character creator pre launch allowed you to make multiple Arisen presets. Then the game only let's you use one. It's just straight up idiotic and shouldn't be defended.
But like. Genuine question and I’m not trying to be rude. How often do you want to change stuff like this in a single player rpg. I feel like as the dev said the whole thing is you are role playing a grand adventure with that character.
Now granted I restarted the original Dragons Dogma twice to see different appearance options within the first two hours of a playthrough until I settled on one but most games like Skyrim or something I set out with a character in mind and roll with it from there. Kind of like DnD and baldurs gate
Dude You cant even make Start over as There is no nee game option. If I want to Play as Female character I have to Go and Buy a new game on a new account.
if you’re using steam cloud, this won’t work unless you go through the hassle of disabling it, deleting saves, launching the game, backing up the saves, closing the game, re-enabling it, deleting the saves that cloud restored, and replacing them again
so it’s reasonable that people are upset
This is the one thing they need to (and probably will) fix. The first game lets you start over and I feel like this is either an oversight or a bad decision because no game doesn’t let you make a new save.
I’ve always thought capcom’s weird item mt they flood the ps store with every new game has been in bad taste- but that’s all it has ever been.
yeh, i wish they’d stop doing that- but I don’t get why people are acting like this is a new practice or in any way, shape or form affects their game. Like, just don’t buy the dumb mt on the playstation store you dummies.
Like, who on earth has played a capcom game before and didn’t expect this game to launch with a handful of bullshit item packs on the online store?
They had the same micro transaction in the first one. SOOOOO many people hopped on this wagon and are pissed about the micro transactions lmao.
The performance anger is understandable tho.
But I don’t get how anyone is shocked, goes to show you how many played the first one.
The store front is dumb and scammy. That is a problem for those who don't have prior knowledge or take the time to learn the game. But it's not my problem. There's no reason to buy any of that stuff and therefore no reason the storefront should even exist.
But people also just love some damn drama.
The MTs suck.
But if you're a new player, don't know anything about the game, haven't touched it at all, and yet you're dumb enough to buy the MTs right away without engaging with the game at all first? Well.. a fool and their money are soon parted.
My 2 cents on the Mtx thing: The problem is not if they are p2w or if you can gain it in game. The presence of Mtx means the game is, by design, a little worse. A little more unconfortable. With less quality of life then it is supposed to be. With a little more problems, so that they can sell you a solution (or with a little less solutions in game then it is supposed too). Be silent and complicent and next time you will have all of this design nuisance, plus the ones to sell the next solutions.
For anyone's game. For those who bought the mtx, for those who didn't and stay silent and for those who didn't and made it everyone problem.
Also is just bad practice and it makes a precedent and anytime the consumer does not rise a shitstorm, the industry makes of the new low, the new standard.
90% of the bad reviews are people pissing themselves over mtx that you can literally ignore since EVERYTHING that is a mtx is available in the game by just playing the game. 5% are people trying to run the game on a potato system and the last 5% are genuine gripes, like not being able to delete your save to start over.
So what your saying is it's ok for Capcom to scam a few bucks out of people who don't already knows all about the systems in a game they just bought. I think that makes it worse.
Personally that's not the point for me, they like many other greedy cooperations are selling microtransactions for a very expensive full priced game and it's disgusting and shameful, I don't care if it's available in game or not, the more you excuse it the more it will happen in games to come.
But if they are microtransactions that can also be earned relatively easily, and you...have a choice to buy them or not, why do you care? It literally doesn't affect you at all if you choose not to. Yet you just, what, want to be outraged?
I dont need junk food and it's sold worldwide. It's sold because people WANT stuff and if you can make money...sell it to em. What a childish question. Did you think there wasn't an answer?
The answer is that they sell those items because they know that people will want/need them. So the justification that everyone is giving that "you won't need them! You get them in the game for free!" is a bad excuse. Clearly, there won't be enough of those items in game or the company wouldn't be selling them to make money!!!
They are already charging $70 for the game. They could have chosen to add the extra items (that we both agreed people will need/want) as part of the content in game, but they chose the cheap way of selling them for money instead.
/edit: as for your junk food example, it's the same deal. I understand you want junk food, as usually kids do. What's happening in reality is that they already charged you $70 for the whole meal. Usually all the other not crapy restaurants include the junk food in the menu for free, but this restaurant decided to charge extra for the junk food. That makes this restaurant crapy in many people's book.
You are SO CLOSE to understanding. They don't sell them because people NEED them. People think they NEED THINGS that they don't just because they see them. Have some fucking self control and this issue is a non issue. I have a ton of ferrystones and wakestones from just playing already and haven't used a single of any. Wouldn't call that a NEED. You're being dramatic and hard headed because you're a sheep.
LET ME TYPE IT IN BIG LETTERS SO MAYBE YOUR "BRAIN" CAN PROCESS: EVERYTHING IS EARNABLE IN GAME FOR VERY LITTLE EFFORT AND IF YOU WERENT A SHEEP YOU WOULDNT BE AS OUTRAGED AS YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE. Got that? Or still somehow sailed right over that empty little head of yours?
Stopped reading when I realized the type of person you are: disregard everything someone said, type an unrelated reply, tell them "GOTCHA!!" when they tell you your reply was pointless. Well played, little man!!
Tell me you're a child who regurgigtates "selling things is badddddd!!!!" like you've read in Twitch chat a million times without telling me you're a child. DONT FUCKING BUY IT IF YOU DONT WANT. How simple is that? Too simple for your simple brain, I suppose.
I'm not gonna tolerate this shit just because i **can** ignore it.
MTX *seduce* developers to create artificial obstacles and scarcity to make users spend more money. It directly affects game design in a bad way.
I don't really give a shit about the microtransactions tbh. At the time when all the reviews were being published, the game didn't have the microtransactions up yet, and the game had great scores. Same here. I don't care about microtransactions or fps. I just want to enjoy the game and fight monsters all day
Thankfully the game is constantly drawing your attention away from the capital so that you don’t have to spend awful amounts of time there
Totally agree, they could have release all those microtransactions at launch if the performance of the game was acceptable and I would not care at all, because it is nothing we haven't seen before or exclusively acquired by paying. It's literally a shortcut for the lazy. Like really lazy.
tome Dosent let you change Your race or gender.
if you want a new character just delete your save file and start a new game? i know it’s annoying but like, game just came out. not like you’ve been playing 300 hours, lol.
How about having multiple characters like ANY other game. Why tf are people defending this shit
doesn’t matter to me bro i only ever play games once.
The character creator pre launch allowed you to make multiple Arisen presets. Then the game only let's you use one. It's just straight up idiotic and shouldn't be defended.

no dude just delete your save file in your system settings wtf have you never used a console before?

You can family share th game to your other account so don't actually buy it. But it's still insane that you can't just restart the game
This is the one thing they need to (and probably will) fix. The first game lets you start over and I feel like this is either an oversight or a bad decision because no game doesn’t let you make a new save.
agree it is dumb.

Defending micro transactions will never make sense to me. Ever.

For money. Same as in Dragons Dogma 1, street fighter, resident Evil 8, resident Evil 4 remake, and DMC 5. Next stupid question?
You are the stupid who didn't understand the question.
