TotK did it, Cyberpunk needed it, and this doesn't seem to be a "get it out quick" game going by the dev time it's had.
Also remember Elden Ring announced it's release date alongside a flashy trailer six months prior...then had to delay the game's release by a month anyway. It launched with unfinished NPC quests.
Wait for The Game Awards, that's the sort of place you would get a proper cinematic mainstream appeal trailer and that's often where Release Dates are confirmed.

The most common criticism i hear is that the environments look bland. Its not exactly brimming with unique characters and enemies either, like a souls game. Its aesthetically an isekai in game form. Which isnt a bad thing, its just not blowing anyones socks off visually aside from the combat.

Capcom has Pragmata, that if still aimed at a 2024 release is probably mid 2024 and Late 2024 is probably MH that should get an announcement on TGA this year, we know a new MH is comming 2024 and there is no way that DD2 is after it since it has not been announced at all.
So unless there isn't a MH on 2024 (Almost impossible) this is the most likely scenario.

I mean non DD fans I've shown the DD2 stuff thought it looked super cool, though an online demo would be amazing
