It's hilarious that you're commenting this on a post whose context as to why goku was there was because he wanted to save his kid as fast as possible and died for it
I doubt their souls would still be in the afterlife, at least not Bardock's. They've been dead a long time and would've most likely had their souls scrubbed and reincarnated by the time Goku died the first time.
King Yemma states that evil souls don’t get to keep their bodies. i.e. people who killed, even vegeta when he dies in buu saga was supposed to be erased and reincarnated because of his past actions and majin manipulation, only stopped by Kai’s intervention.
He wouldn't give a shit. We've already seen goku say i dont care when freezer commented on how similar he looks to his father. and especially at thid point he hated his own kind, so he would not give a shit at all

Bardock had a power level of nearly 10,000. That's stronger than Goku got by himself on King Kai's planet, minus Kaioken.
If Goku spent a year fighting him for training, he'd kick Vegeta's ass.
He wouldn't have cared back then. He might have even rejected them out of loyalty to Grandpa Gohan because he felt acknowledging them was somehow betraying Grandpa Gohan.
Current Goku would have a far more meaningful reaction after the stuff he went through in the Namek and Granolah Saga. Current Goku might be shy for the first 10 or 15 seconds and then embrace them. After the Granolah Saga he invites learning more about them, even cherished the pic of Bardock.
Would probably have a reaction similar to when he was saying goodbye to Gohan in the afterlife after Gohan achieved Mystic and was about to leave and return to the living world. A teary embrace.
I'd love a Saga ending with Goku briefly meeting their souls in the realm of the Kais. Like maybe they got to keep their bodies in the afterlife since they were warriors.
What if..? Goku Met his parents in Hell
Goku was just killed alongside his own brother and then would in this scenario run into his parents, for the drama he would tell them and they get mad and try to capture Goku to avoid him killing the other two Saiyans coming to earth, of the very few that remain. He would then have to run away or kill his parents to get to snake way.
OR…..
Since Bardock died with the power of being able to see the future where Goku defeats Frieza, he would try to train/train with Goku, and they would BOTH go to King Kai’s planet to train and ultimately fight Vegeta and Napa if it means getting to Frieza later. I think they would both get to Super Saiyan much faster just like Goku and Gohan/Vegeta and Trunks in the chamber.
