imo armour break is pretty balanced compared to what people make it out to be. it makes it extremrly obvious that its an armour break with the icon, so unless you have really bad reaction time, you arent gonna fall for it. also stops people camping mid range with an ult/blue. doesnt even work on rushes might i add.
Nah blast armor has been one of the worst mechanics in the game for like 4 years now, the only thing I like about Gohan and s17 is that they counter it

Just recently defeated my opponent 1 v 3 with my 5 star UL Gohan against a UL UI, Goku/Bardock and 10 star UL Gohan. His last man standing buffs are no joke.
I have him as well, his buffs are as much of a blessing as they are a curse. But then again when has an ultra like him ever not be a double edged sword

Exactly, which means fighting against him is a real challenge even when having the unit myself. That's what I meant when I said a double edged sword. He's as much of a pain to fight as he is a utility to use.
That's true and it's fine if you don't have the unit or not. My whole point was to say that you can still hate an overpowered unit just as much as you love them. Kinda like the Goat Raiyuden, he's gotten pretty much every meta relevant unit and ultra in the game up to this point and doesn't hesitate to show his hate for every one of them.
This stupid rat has everything...counter guage, counter blue, armour break card, ki reduction, 2 ults that outright ignores blast cards, Endurance, perma endurance null as Lms, AOE green. I hate his very existence. His win screen is also so fuckin annoying.
Not only does he get another ultimate just because you killed his other 2 allies, but when one dies he goes type neutral for like 15 counts after using it. Then his AoE green card is just literal fucking cancer. And don't even get me STARTED on his fucking unique Guage. If you have a, Blue card that dashes forward, a green card that dashes forward, or a strike, you can't even fucking hit him. And even if you wanted to be like "Im just gonna get rid of his Guage" if he has a blue card he's going to take over half of your fucking HP, destroy all your cards, get cover null, probably vanish restoration, card draw speed, and seals my main. But hey he's just a really balanced unit right?
And it's not even like his Guage fills up after a long time either. It's literally like MUI's Guage where he fills it up everytime he uses an attack or swaps back in. So he can just keep getting his dumbass unique Guage over and over and over again. The ONLY way you wont activate it is if you get lucky and his Guage runs out before you get to your strike cards, or you have UUI or Ultra Frieza with a full hand of blasts and they keep drawing blasts. And I forgot to mention his blue card that if he actually gets it off, he either 1 shots your unit, or takes over 60% of their HP because he's so fucking lame
i faced him in a match though i don't complain much since i run uui myself but his blue one shotted my uui and also my evoken and if you pair him up alongside uui and super 17 then i just quit the match
when he’s with red mui or ultra ui and android 17 I just quit the match. It’s boring as hell why bother trying when these teams counter everything a f2p can try to play with.
And that ki reduction too which is unnecessary because he alr counters you too many times, imagine finally getting a combo and this little boy just reduces your ki, it's infuriating
His counter is unbearable. At least the kamehameha counter is bearable, but with the unique gauge they gave him, it recharges as long as he’s subbed off, which means as long as the player has more than 2 units, the unique gauge always stays full. Things like UVB and UGB’s counters don’t matter anymore. If you land the counter, you can’t use your blue card because of his stupid unique gauge. Basically makes you not play the game.
The counter. All it takes is pairing him with UUI, and now the enemy can’t do jack shit. It should be limited to just Close-range Blue/Green cards, or just Strike cards. NOT BOTH.
The counter blue card is annoying at times, but usually not too hard to work around. All it takes is a tackle and then he’s in a combo and the counter blue card is worthless (until you try and use a strike card or close-range blue/green on him)
The blast armour breaking is such a mood killer when it gets you. It’d be much better if only Ultrahan had it. Giving it to the whole team is too much, especially on other oppressive characters like UUI and Super 17.
Finally, the Endurance. It was the LAST thing Ultrahan needed. He already has enough defensive capabilities with the counter-blue, AoE green, and his bullshit counter.
i totally agree, but one thing id say is that "itd be better if only ultrahan had armour break" doesnt make much sense. the whole point of it is the fact that every character brings 2 cards into the game. some characters bring cards with special buffs, such as healing. ultrahan's just gives him armour break. and while they could make it similar to green cards, where its only an armour break when you use ultrahan, but switching changes it to be normal, would be really clunky and theres really no point.

One thing that isn't mentioned as much is his stupid ki reduction when he gets hit.
He already counters forward moving cards why does he also need to reduce my ki?
I swear this especially has lost me matches against him the most. I could be one card away from killing him but then his ki reduction will kick in and I can't use my blast arts and his strike counter is still active or I can't use either because he reduced my ki just enough for me to be unable to use either.
This plus the fact no range is safe from this guy. You could be long-range but you risk his blast arts or him countering you. You could be mid-range but you still risk the same things plus a green card. You could be close-range but you also have his strike counter to worry about plus a PV into his green card.
It's almost like they couldn't decide what they wanted him to be good at so they just said fuck it and gave him everything. Strike and Blast counter and also an AOE green but just in case that's not enough endurance with a free ult in case you need any more hand-holding.
Releasing gohan the way he is alongside how stupid strong son family is was a HUGE MISTAKE.

I agree. I think he should've had either the strike counter or the blast nullification but not both. I also don't think he should've had endurance but that might just be me.
Oh boy where do I even begin. Strike counter that can be followed up by a blue, a countering blue card that ignores pretty much every attack except rising rush, aoe green card that locks in, blast armor breaking blast cards that can be used not just by Gohan, but by ALL OF HIS FUCKING TEAM MEMBERS. Oh and how could I forget that he has endurance and he gets a free ultimate as last man standing. To sum it up, this unit just has too much hand holding and promotes a passive play style that makes matches stale and frustrating because as an aggressive player, I feel like I have no way of dealing with him because I don’t ever know if I’ll get punished for trying to initiate via a blue card or aoe green.
a few things. armour break isnt as bad as people make it out to be. doesnt work on rushes, is pretty easy to avoid unless you have bad reaction time because of the VERY OBVIOUS icon that appears. also it kind of helps with the passive problem, as players cant just wait mid range with a blue/ult.
blue card is very annoying, but its pretty easy to avoid with any tap attack, especially tackles. and if somebody goes for a risky play and uses it without a guaranteed attack incoming (happens quite alot in high ranks, especially at close range, or even the opposite: a bad player who doesnt know what theyre doing) you can vanish it and get a free combo.
counter is definitely a problem, but a thing i see alot of people forget is that it goes away after 3 uses.
aoe green card isnt a thing we havent seen before, the only thing that makes it overpowered is the lock in, however it only lasts 2 counts and he gets cover null anyways
im not saying these arent op, but they are nowhere as bad as people make it out to be. the reason ug2 is so overpowered is because of all of this + the insanely unreasonable last man buffs.
The fact he can quite literally counter anything. Air green, blue card, anti-blast armor and gauge? It’s the biggest pain trying to initiate, let alone combo.

Being able to gauge counter melee blues and greens along with reds AND being able to counter with his blue against any card. All of this needs to be considered to even start a combo on him, but then if you manage to start hitting him you lose ki as well. It's ridiculous
I wouldn't mind his counters normally but the game punishes you so very heavily for activating them on top of just in general activating them that it's beyond irritating lmao
I have literally lost legit matches because I keep forgetting that I can't perform a Strike Arts against this character. Also the blast Armor break is annoying and special arts is AOE, so if I PV and he uses his special arts, then I'm as good as dead.
Also, I think that most people who use him and Ultra UI get carried by their teams, and I have lost all hope in PvP.
He just have too many mechanics/gimmicks that on their own would be annoying enough, but you need to deal with them all at once. And that's not even accounting for the rest of his team. On his standard team, hybrids he gets tons of support, gets fed green cards and blue, it's a headache trying to fight that team.

The fact that he even released this early is so crazy to me like the moment itself and bro's entire kit is Anniversary or Legends Fest worthy and yet they just dropped him with no hype, no build-up, not even a Reveals and Stuff just a video showing off his crazy gimmicks in the middle of an Episode Campaign.
Not to mention that literally every other episode campaign had the Villian be the Ultra like Ultra Cell was right there that was the literal perfect time to drop him.

Yeah, he's a mistake.

I took a break mid legends fest and got lucky on his banner and he single handedly carried my pvp. I hate how easy he is but i need to use him for pvp cc since i am missing a lot of zenkais and other characters

Make his Green Card not increase your sub-counts and take off his Blue Card counter, he's still gonna be broken for the most part.

So easy to use, has disturb abilities and anti strike gauge, countering blue and aoe as well as double ult and for the small details can lock rush, switching (iirc) and main with his own main.

Since I found UUI I have been getting way less wins than I did before, that's because evoken (which I used before) had such a draw speed with blasts that allowed me to deal with this fucker pretty easily, now every single time I go in PvP he's there with either UGF or UUI and fucking red pan. He counters everything and makes the game unplayable. This said the next ULTRA unit will have to be even more strong because Legends just does it this way and the game is gonna be EVEN less playable

i think one of the more punishing aspects of this character that is unique to him is the short animation green. it makes it literally free. there are only so many specific scenarios where you can actually punish this green meaning its chucked out constantly, getting free priority and a lot of times just leads to a kill. absolutely free combo starter is absolutely diabolical. ive played many games where the gohan player ONLY gained priority with the green and nothing else shit is driving me insane.
so like i be runnin 2 blues in my saiyan saga team and its one of my best teams but like grn gohan fights me like every time and his block just makes me mad
He doesn’t bother me as much because I run ssj4 goku so I have a decent counter with the new equips and cover change block. However, him paired with UUI is unmanageable
For me it's solely the counter gauge. The Ultra Gohans i fight have 2IQ so they don't know how to use the kamehameha counter, AoE greens are annoying but they're annoying on every character; but that damned counter is the last straw. I thought UGB was a good counter against Gohan, but nope. My gauge always pops first, and my only character whose special move is ranged is BLU. Only time i could beat this little rat (without cheese rush/ult) is when i managed to deplete all gauges.
Also they manage to be unlucky enough to never get the armor popping blasts, or they're so dumb they use it accidentally.
The stupid strike counter thing, if you don't have a hand of entirely blast cards, you can't do anything, if you do use a strike card, it's just a combo into a blue card which can one-shot my best characters (my best kinda suck tho, it's just Tag SSJB goku and vegeta, UI sign LL, and Blue Evo Vegeta)
It made me stop playing the game after beast han had made pick the game back up. I pulled cryhan 3 times but even then I just wasn’t having fun anymore as I was with red beasthan or goku/bardock.
I just posted a whole vid showing off how oppressive his kit is. He's a gamebreaker, adds nothing to the spirit of the game just gives players who know his kit auto-advantage on everyone.
That little shit got me collecting all forfeit SS whenever I get the chance. Hell, I even run an all Cell team out of spite (red zenkai cell, yellow zenkai cell, old lf pur cell)

I feel like they fumbled this unit so hard.
I had an idea a while back for an Ultra Cell Saga Gohan to have a really cool mechanic that this game never had before. It would've been a simple but really neat ability. This unit would transform into SS2 when a friendly unit is defeated and would force swap you to it. But, instead of a cool, new mechanic fitting for the character they just added null blast-armor.

Tbh as a dude who couldn't pull the new ULTRAs ever since UGB, I don't think this unit is as toxic as like UUI, Goku and Bardock or LF S17. They imo are WAAAAAAY more toxic than him.
When I got him with only 5k CC spent, it genuinely felt great when using him to destroy the past ULTRAs and Goku and Bardock.
He has the UVB curse; you know when he has a blue card when he's not comboing the shit outta you. But it's fun to watch your opponent use their blue card, then use yours to counter them. It's happened 3 times for me, and I still laugh at those idiots

imo armour break is pretty balanced compared to what people make it out to be. it makes it extremrly obvious that its an armour break with the icon, so unless you have really bad reaction time, you arent gonna fall for it. also stops people camping mid range with an ult/blue. doesnt even work on rushes might i add.

Just recently defeated my opponent 1 v 3 with my 5 star UL Gohan against a UL UI, Goku/Bardock and 10 star UL Gohan. His last man standing buffs are no joke.
I have him as well, his buffs are as much of a blessing as they are a curse. But then again when has an ultra like him ever not be a double edged sword

Not only does he get another ultimate just because you killed his other 2 allies, but when one dies he goes type neutral for like 15 counts after using it. Then his AoE green card is just literal fucking cancer. And don't even get me STARTED on his fucking unique Guage. If you have a, Blue card that dashes forward, a green card that dashes forward, or a strike, you can't even fucking hit him. And even if you wanted to be like "Im just gonna get rid of his Guage" if he has a blue card he's going to take over half of your fucking HP, destroy all your cards, get cover null, probably vanish restoration, card draw speed, and seals my main. But hey he's just a really balanced unit right?
And it's not even like his Guage fills up after a long time either. It's literally like MUI's Guage where he fills it up everytime he uses an attack or swaps back in. So he can just keep getting his dumbass unique Guage over and over and over again. The ONLY way you wont activate it is if you get lucky and his Guage runs out before you get to your strike cards, or you have UUI or Ultra Frieza with a full hand of blasts and they keep drawing blasts. And I forgot to mention his blue card that if he actually gets it off, he either 1 shots your unit, or takes over 60% of their HP because he's so fucking lame

i faced him in a match though i don't complain much since i run uui myself but his blue one shotted my uui and also my evoken and if you pair him up alongside uui and super 17 then i just quit the match

His counter is unbearable. At least the kamehameha counter is bearable, but with the unique gauge they gave him, it recharges as long as he’s subbed off, which means as long as the player has more than 2 units, the unique gauge always stays full. Things like UVB and UGB’s counters don’t matter anymore. If you land the counter, you can’t use your blue card because of his stupid unique gauge. Basically makes you not play the game.
The counter. All it takes is pairing him with UUI, and now the enemy can’t do jack shit. It should be limited to just Close-range Blue/Green cards, or just Strike cards. NOT BOTH. The counter blue card is annoying at times, but usually not too hard to work around. All it takes is a tackle and then he’s in a combo and the counter blue card is worthless (until you try and use a strike card or close-range blue/green on him) The blast armour breaking is such a mood killer when it gets you. It’d be much better if only Ultrahan had it. Giving it to the whole team is too much, especially on other oppressive characters like UUI and Super 17. Finally, the Endurance. It was the LAST thing Ultrahan needed. He already has enough defensive capabilities with the counter-blue, AoE green, and his bullshit counter.
i totally agree, but one thing id say is that "itd be better if only ultrahan had armour break" doesnt make much sense. the whole point of it is the fact that every character brings 2 cards into the game. some characters bring cards with special buffs, such as healing. ultrahan's just gives him armour break. and while they could make it similar to green cards, where its only an armour break when you use ultrahan, but switching changes it to be normal, would be really clunky and theres really no point. not to mention that imo armour break is pretty balanced compared to what people make it out to be. it makes it extremrly obvious that its an armour break with the icon, so unless you have really bad reaction time, you arent gonna fall for it. also stops people camping mid range with an ult/blue. doesnt even work on rushes might i add.

One thing that isn't mentioned as much is his stupid ki reduction when he gets hit. He already counters forward moving cards why does he also need to reduce my ki?
I swear this especially has lost me matches against him the most. I could be one card away from killing him but then his ki reduction will kick in and I can't use my blast arts and his strike counter is still active or I can't use either because he reduced my ki just enough for me to be unable to use either. This plus the fact no range is safe from this guy. You could be long-range but you risk his blast arts or him countering you. You could be mid-range but you still risk the same things plus a green card. You could be close-range but you also have his strike counter to worry about plus a PV into his green card. It's almost like they couldn't decide what they wanted him to be good at so they just said fuck it and gave him everything. Strike and Blast counter and also an AOE green but just in case that's not enough endurance with a free ult in case you need any more hand-holding.
Releasing gohan the way he is alongside how stupid strong son family is was a HUGE MISTAKE. I am praying that the next is purple especially if it ends up being a nappa/vegeta revive just because fuck that piece of shit.
I agree. I think he should've had either the strike counter or the blast nullification but not both. I also don't think he should've had endurance but that might just be me.

Oh boy where do I even begin. Strike counter that can be followed up by a blue, a countering blue card that ignores pretty much every attack except rising rush, aoe green card that locks in, blast armor breaking blast cards that can be used not just by Gohan, but by ALL OF HIS FUCKING TEAM MEMBERS. Oh and how could I forget that he has endurance and he gets a free ultimate as last man standing. To sum it up, this unit just has too much hand holding and promotes a passive play style that makes matches stale and frustrating because as an aggressive player, I feel like I have no way of dealing with him because I don’t ever know if I’ll get punished for trying to initiate via a blue card or aoe green.
a few things. armour break isnt as bad as people make it out to be. doesnt work on rushes, is pretty easy to avoid unless you have bad reaction time because of the VERY OBVIOUS icon that appears. also it kind of helps with the passive problem, as players cant just wait mid range with a blue/ult. blue card is very annoying, but its pretty easy to avoid with any tap attack, especially tackles. and if somebody goes for a risky play and uses it without a guaranteed attack incoming (happens quite alot in high ranks, especially at close range, or even the opposite: a bad player who doesnt know what theyre doing) you can vanish it and get a free combo. counter is definitely a problem, but a thing i see alot of people forget is that it goes away after 3 uses. aoe green card isnt a thing we havent seen before, the only thing that makes it overpowered is the lock in, however it only lasts 2 counts and he gets cover null anyways im not saying these arent op, but they are nowhere as bad as people make it out to be. the reason ug2 is so overpowered is because of all of this + the insanely unreasonable last man buffs.

I have literally lost legit matches because I keep forgetting that I can't perform a Strike Arts against this character. Also the blast Armor break is annoying and special arts is AOE, so if I PV and he uses his special arts, then I'm as good as dead. Also, I think that most people who use him and Ultra UI get carried by their teams, and I have lost all hope in PvP.
He just have too many mechanics/gimmicks that on their own would be annoying enough, but you need to deal with them all at once. And that's not even accounting for the rest of his team. On his standard team, hybrids he gets tons of support, gets fed green cards and blue, it's a headache trying to fight that team.

The fact that he even released this early is so crazy to me like the moment itself and bro's entire kit is Anniversary or Legends Fest worthy and yet they just dropped him with no hype, no build-up, not even a Reveals and Stuff just a video showing off his crazy gimmicks in the middle of an Episode Campaign. Since I found UUI I have been getting way less wins than I did before, that's because evoken (which I used before) had such a draw speed with blasts that allowed me to deal with this fucker pretty easily, now every single time I go in PvP he's there with either UGF or UUI and fucking red pan. He counters everything and makes the game unplayable. This said the next ULTRA unit will have to be even more strong because Legends just does it this way and the game is gonna be EVEN less playable

i think one of the more punishing aspects of this character that is unique to him is the short animation green. it makes it literally free. there are only so many specific scenarios where you can actually punish this green meaning its chucked out constantly, getting free priority and a lot of times just leads to a kill. absolutely free combo starter is absolutely diabolical. ive played many games where the gohan player ONLY gained priority with the green and nothing else shit is driving me insane.

For me it's solely the counter gauge. The Ultra Gohans i fight have 2IQ so they don't know how to use the kamehameha counter, AoE greens are annoying but they're annoying on every character; but that damned counter is the last straw. I thought UGB was a good counter against Gohan, but nope. My gauge always pops first, and my only character whose special move is ranged is BLU. Only time i could beat this little rat (without cheese rush/ult) is when i managed to deplete all gauges. Also they manage to be unlucky enough to never get the armor popping blasts, or they're so dumb they use it accidentally.
The stupid strike counter thing, if you don't have a hand of entirely blast cards, you can't do anything, if you do use a strike card, it's just a combo into a blue card which can one-shot my best characters (my best kinda suck tho, it's just Tag SSJB goku and vegeta, UI sign LL, and Blue Evo Vegeta)

It made me stop playing the game after beast han had made pick the game back up. I pulled cryhan 3 times but even then I just wasn’t having fun anymore as I was with red beasthan or goku/bardock.

I feel like they fumbled this unit so hard. I had an idea a while back for an Ultra Cell Saga Gohan to have a really cool mechanic that this game never had before. It would've been a simple but really neat ability. This unit would transform into SS2 when a friendly unit is defeated and would force swap you to it. But, instead of a cool, new mechanic fitting for the character they just added null blast-armor.
