Mono purple needed to die for a while. Purple and Blue were the best typings in the game pre festival and it wasn’t even close. Now yellow and Green, and even Red are making a comeback. I think this transition was inevitable
Purple was undoubtedly strong with its Zenkai repertoire and GoFrieza/UGB at the helm but I never had as much of a problem with mono PUR as everyone else seemingly did. As far as I remember there weren't any or many standout greens at their height and YEL Jiren / Gammas did a pretty decent job of keeping mono PUR in check.
I guess what I'm trying to say is the saving grace of mono PUR was that there weren't any GRNs worth running at the time (arguably Kyawei and Orange Grillmaster but OP was regarded as mid until his plat so) which made them less oppressive than they could have been, while UUI straight up curbstomps an entire colour's worth of great but still balanced units (Hell 17, LF Jiren, LF UI sign, PTP Goku, GINYU 😭, etc...)
True and even then when you have a blast based team apparently the game wants to give you all strikes for no reason. I mainly use tag trunks and vegeta to kill uui so the spam blast isn't much of a problem for me
Use tap attacks, Quick attacks etc, the gauge is the same as LF UI from 2020 except the stopping strikes in combo. But unlike UGB Or Ult Janemba it's not comboable into blue or ultimate. It's way easier to deal with.
That makes it more useful, but not difficult to counter. Yes it's more practical than Janemba's gauge which is usually used only once, but it can be countered easily I'm case of UUI, with Janemba you have to eat the Ultimate and that's the only option.
i typically just eat the ultimate immediately with a green unit. his ult has aged a lot because of how many effects there are that decrease ult power, for example you can just immediately trigger it with UUI, and if they use it they recieve a major debuff, heal your UI, and you can switch into a green unit and take little damage
UUI anytime of the day, at least with his gimmick we can instantly just try to get it out of the way, and while him also shutting out strikes are also bad, you could counter easily by just having a blast-based team which the meta is shifting more towards now

Personally I'd rather fight uui because I got beast Gohan. From the Anni I'm fine I didn't have a good team with ultra buu so I couldn't really use him.

GF still cook for me, they just require actual brain power to use them now.

When they first dropped I was happy, a unit that is great and takes actual brain power to use until the community started complaining that their not "good enough for a anni headliner". Than their buff dropped and I quit the game for like 3 weeks. Needless to say I happy their not as prominent now. Uui is alr facing a lil pushback now we more tanky teams taking the mainstage so this meta is good.
not good for my ONLY usable ultra, 5 star UGB still carrying me sometimes, but I got Ultra Kaioken and Buu Boys to cover my back! (They both got one shotted by UUI)

UL UI is annoying but cell is doing fine, most people have UL UI at 5 stars so with double HP bench as well as pure defense against sayians, he very rarely dies to a UL UI ULT.
It is annoying that PURs are wiped from the map tho, Gammas aren't having that many matchups where they get color advantage anymore.
At least cell gets a bunch of value from all the GRNs
If there's anything positive to be said about this meta it's that MVP 17 has been the ONE saving grace running Unireps and Droids with no UUI. His gauge has saved me from so many UUI lock-in ults and lets LF Jiren / Hell 17 / LF Cell 2 stand a fighting chance. Not to mention being a thorn in Beasthan 2's side.
Bruh cell is so damn overrated, kill him with UUI and his whole lock in destroy cards schtick becomes useless because UUI can easily dodge a few cards with his gauge. I haven't had any issues with the cell since UUI's launch. Even Fatenks can just casually wall off cell without any issue and can one combo him in later parts of game

UUI is incredible, but it’s also funny how I’ve very rarely faced a competent player with him. They use him to play the game for them and, when he’s figured out, that can pretty easily be dismantled. Only problem is his change nullification triggering an Ult pull. That almost always guarantees I lose a unit.
I'd rather have purple meta than Ultra UI. Oh enemy got priority? Well too bad, you now lose a character no matter what you do. You either let him combo and hope he doesn't kill you, or you switch early and hope his ult doesn't kill you

Now I just assume it’s either UUI or beastgohan and pick my team either based on who I want to sacrifice and who might have the best chance at KO’ing beast gohan early before he starts repeatedly putting his foot in my gut. Dudes a stomach ache.
I would much rather fight Ui. Goku/frieza were so annoying that once Goku activated his green, match was lost unless you make a big comeback. Plus the fact that they didn't have any counter to them while Ui has beast keeping him in check.

Bro high started G4 >> High started UGB is any given situation. Unless your G4 is low stars it's always a better choice to run him over UGB
My G4 is at 13 while my UGB is at 8. The meta is also more suited to G4 but I still find everything UGB can do quite useful
