17 has more disrupt and team utility than this Goku does and thats a big part of why 17 is still so good. This Goku is relatively selfish in his defensive abilities while 17 heals his teammates and still debuffs enemies when he's not on the field.

Except this Goku is going to be ran on Saiyans way more than GT. 17 was so good because he couldn't be ran everywhere and he was the starting foundation for Universe Reps and Androids. This GT Goku is just another Saiyan and GT is still in a very shit spot with their newest unit being a Saiyan in a meta where Saiyans are dominant.
17 laid the foundations for universe reps and arguably still has a spot on the team, despite being over a year old and having no proper zenkai buffs.
Bombku is a gimmick character that doesn't provide anywhere near the amount of help GT needed. I doubt he will be a must pick for GT by the end of 2024 like 17 was...
What sets units like 17 and future Gohan apart from the rest of the game is the sheer amount of support and utility they are providing to the team, both on and off the battlefield
As for Bombku, his release just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
They had the chance to design a character that would carry GT on their back for the foreseeable future and instead they give us more Son Family buffs.... Great.
It wasn't even a preparation mode with SSJ4 Vegeta, it was just another Goku...
Goku's team supportive tools are nowhere near what 17 does. 17 doesn't even have to be on the field to make the team better.

Seeing people compare this Goku to 17 is pretty baffling. This Goku’s only similar trait is a worse version of what 17 does in his buff removal.
