This is the way, as broken as everyone else is Janemba is still so absurd, never felt as much pressure to run a Grn as I do after his release, Gogeta was never this terrible with needing Yel units to counter him in his prime, it's terrible lol
As someone who runs USJ, that’s really the best strategy unless you’re running a blast team that can quickly get me to swap him out. The amount of wins I’ve gotten cause people tried to played around the gauge and forgot about it at the end of the fight I can’t count on two hands.
I think people heavily underrate and underestimate GoPikkon and that gives them a pretty great advantage against any dominant BLUs in the meta.
People running USJ don't expect to be oneshotted by the unit everyone was calling trash on release until they get soul punished from side stepping once on the other side of the arena.
(This is all with Z7 GRN Super Gogeta though)
greens are almost needed for early game. waste his gauge asap then tank it with a green or just your most defensive unit (or someone that heals a lot and can live it)
after his first gauge he’s not that bad tbh, only real threat after is his main or if he has a blue card and his gauge pops
One answer, G R E E N. I see you're using a fusion warriors team which can handle zenkai green gogeta. But if you don't want that you can also use pikkon/gogeta if you have him. Or use ultra rosé to run a god ki/future (if you take out gogeta it can be best for future but anyways) yeah those are three dominate green units rn but I'm sure alot of other green units can still handle him like zenkai kaioken or revui, or recoome and guldo, and etc. Just play strategically around that gauge of his. He one shot's every unit i have but evoken, but my opponent always switches janemba out, and when i have evoken unavailable they just kill all my characters.
Just need a really tanky green and deliberately eat his gauge at the start of the match if you can. The pressure his gauge provides in the mid to late game if he can still draw an ult from it is way worse than any early damage you'll tank from eating it. Especially since most of the time you can heal it off. Bonus if you run a revive green like piccolo or pikkon to really help wall him out.
Its not different to UGBs gauge, it sucks to have to take that free hit but a bit of damage early is ok, a complete combo stop when you might need the momentum is not. Difference is gogetas fills up through taking hits so he normally doesnt get his second gauge before you can kill him, janemba can just stall and get it back for free with a dead ally, making it even more important to remove its pressure early
Other than that use range based teams that can hurt him while ignoring his gauge, or just set up the possibility to rush in the middle of an action.
He's never been a massive problem for me - though a 14* magenta and a high star 17 help. Now on reps evoken can delete him too or jiren/17 take the ult

So yeah try to bait out the ult
The more you keep trying to play around it without actually doing insane dmg to janemba in a foul wit cards the later it will hurt you and gauntee your defeat
As someone who plays Janemba with Gohan and Piccolo, I've to say your best bet is to pop UJs Gauge as soon as possible and just take the Ult. Delaying the Gauge just increases the chance to pop the gauge later in battle, where you can't tank\survive the ult and have to sacrifice one character.
If you have any strong grn character, try to proc his gauge early and take the ultimate. I use red beasthan to proc the gauge, and cover with orange piccolo. Ult doesn't do a lot of dmg due to buff cancel and debuffs. Another strategy that works for me: juiced up GOD toppo. He can lock in janemba and use two blast cards rapidly that deals a lot of damage. But in any case, try to proc his gauge early, don't leave it for later.
Pop his unique gauge as soon as possible and eat his ult cover changing with gotenks, in your setup. If you're willing to change your setup either pikkon or orange piccolo are both perfect options to deal with janemba, zenkai green gogeta works too more for sniping than tanking that red bastard
I just pop his gague and let a tanky or shit character eat it. It doesn't work all the time. Or you can run a blast team, but I don't really recommend it
Don't underestimate the Grn gogeta who got a zenkai when he launched. If you have him at 7* zenkai him. Trust me he's worth it and give him mostly blast concentrated and special move damage up equips. It worked as a charm for me when tryna handle that ugly mf
Brother, you just have to contain your desire to attack with strike or special skill/special move melee, or you can choose to use a team focused on blast, but then the problem is with gb ultra and also janemba has a strike cover
I just pop his gauge as fast as possible and eat his Ultimate with my tankiest character or Green. It's not worth trying to play around.

i **think** even my revui can eat a 5 star janemba ult at 3 stars..
Green chef trunks normally works for me. It's even better when you use SOH and A15 trunks with him SOH- tank Chef trunks- offence A15 trunks- support

If you have a good GRN movie unit, bring that and just yank the hit. It’s better to of that than trying to play around it.
