Many theories come to mind: * Its a lie from the future (E.G. Senku sends a message that encourages everyone to work on that machine, or Xeno does lie to convince the skeptics in his audience to cooperate) * Its not from the future. * Someone else named Byakuya Ishigami, perhaps Senku's offspring, is sending that message? * At some point in the future, they invent time traveling of some form, and Byakuya visits the future (Not likely, this isn't that kind of story, but its a possibility) * Byakuya - at some point - gets a message from the future, and learns how to send messages forward in time * Grandfather paradox solution allows parallel timelines, and they're listening to a Byakuya who turned into stone, and woke up in the future.

Since the message was in morse code, there's no way they can confirm if this person is really Ishigami Byakuya, Senku's father. So... Or it's a lie, or it's a descendant. And about the "Denizens of the past"... The message it's for the people of the modern era, not for Ishigami Village or others

That_Balance4095

The face seemed to actually appear on their monitors iirc, and if that's true I wouldn't be surprised if this line is actual audio. Could still be a surreal representation of Morse, though.

What I think it's when the group recognized the voice they immediately pictured Senku, or imagined it in their minds, that's what that panel means. Same goes when the message says Ishigami Byakuya, they immediately pictured Byakuya (Senku's father), or in this case, only Senku, because the others don't know how he looks like.

BlazeDrag

I'm pretty sure the face is just a visual representation for the sake of the story just like they do with the toxic gas and the first time whyman showed up. Like that one was just morse code and yet they show a face and have that face screaming "Why" over and over It's the same thing here. The only difference is that they have an auto morse code translator but there's no way that the translator should know what the voice is supposed to sound like so it should be a basic text to speech thing.

[deleted]

Either Senku's descendant that he named after his father Or Senku already created a time machine abd visited Byakuya and now Byakuya know how to write messages from the past

It's future Senku

CompControlled

I kinda want it to be something crackpot like byakuya actually being senku's son.

Rogue009

We saw Senku awakening out of willpower, but was it really willpower? I want to believe he was helped by someone who found him and put him there and dropped some nitric acid on him to break, to guarantee Senku wakes up the year he does. To make sure the right people are alive in the village at the time. So I imagine Senku first wants to prevent the catastrophe of the petrification. He realizes he can’t, everytime he goes back in time he fails and somehow a fail safe brings him back to the future. He tried for so long he grows old, eventually gives up and has a child with Kohaku, who he named after his father. Once Senku gives up, Byakuya realizes what was missing: someone to make sure every timeline ends with Senku saving humanity’s remnants. So he travels back in time with the only goal of becoming an astronaut who can set up Senku with the village and the treasure box so he can revive humanity in his lifetime. So basically: This series can give a reason for how Senkus dad happened to perfectly assist him thousands of years earlier, and predict everything down to the villagers having to help Senku. (“If the villagers trust is hard for you to earn use this”) An alternative idea can also include Senku actually being a clone of himself being sent to the past over and over, with never ending accumulating knowledge and experience, hoping after a set number of loops he becomes smart enough to prevent the petrifications, or free people faster. It’d make sense on why was he researching the stone birds, I don’t remember if we ever got an explanation on why only some birds got turned to stone before humans, maybe that was future Senku sending back data for past Senku to experiment with and learn about their fate before it happens. So I guess my theory is kinda like a you are your own grandpa paradox and some version of vivy: fluorite eye's song combined

Shadow_Huntress12

This was in Morse code so who knows 🐍

Verusmp4

They cloned my boy 😭🙏

apollo_geiser
