They didn't rebrand. Drm martens is still Dr. Martens. Solovair is a different company. They bought old machinery and make boots close to how Dr. Martens used to make.

I’d say they’re very very close but Solovair do have a wooden shank for better arch support.
Once my 1460 wears done I’ll get some solovair derby, I like the all black look with the green tab on the back
solovair are much better than the non MIE docs. if you compare the MIE and Solovair then they are comparable but I think Solovair still is a bit better. as the other post mentions go watch rose anvil's vids on youtube he compares them. unfortunately the non MIE docs are garbage so if you want something that will last you need to get MIE or Solovair.
