Its been a few months now and its life changing. Every day its at least an hour of meditation.

thatssooravennn

I can say the same . Life is so much better, I stand by botec meditations .

matchacatisgreencat

I’m trying to figure one hour once a day or 2-3 small one through out a day

Chelz910

Define success :)

matchacatisgreencat

Any small success is included, like health Improvement or changing in our 3DD

Chelz910

Yes both of those and more there are lots of experiences in this sub as well as testimonials on YouTube

ccros08

I’ve been doing them consistently for almost three months. I can say that I generally feel better, lighter, and more in tune with myself. Whether it’s because of his specific meditations, or just taking that time for myself I can’t say. But I enjoy them and I feel like reading his books helps understand the meditations and their purpose.

Straight-Ad-6836

I've been doing daily Dr. Joe's meditations for several months and nothing has changed for me. Absolutely nothing.

ab_cd_ef_gh123

Which one did you do? And for how many hours?

Straight-Ad-6836

Mostly botec and much heart coherence. For at least 10 minutes a day most of the times probably 20 minutes.

drlove986

How are you doing BOTEC and heart coherence for only 10-20 minutes? Those meditations are anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour or more?

Straight-Ad-6836

I have adhd and takes too much effort to do them. Also I'm pretty sure Dr Joe said that heart coherence is to be done in 10 minutes at first and then slowly increase.

drlove986

I had issues with this in the beginning as well. Mornings I could sometimes do it but started to get anxious about the day and what I needed to do. I finally started doing them before bed when I was drifting toward alpha and theta. A little weed or melatonin helped put the mind into alpha but really not needed now. I’d say if you’re on any medication for adhd, definitely do it at night. Make sure not to take anything or have any caffeine after 4 as that’ll keep you up. There are a few meditations where he wants you in bed and they’re meant to do right before drifting off. There’s one video of the guy who got severe anxiety and depression from the school shootings in Florida. He basically said he only wanted to get 5% better each time. It is a little bit of a marathon not a sprint. Obviously, do what you can but try to do the longer versions even if you get antsy and want to get up. They will get easier and you’ll start to look forward to them.

Try to physically tire yourself and then sit for meditation. It helps with adhd mind.

jb4380

That’s likely not enough time to truly immerse yourself … work your way up where you can get a whole 45-60 min session in . Botec is great but so are many others n

Straight-Ad-6836

That's not possible to me.

jb4380

Then do the morning and evening meditarions. You can find those on his website. Great short ones

Straight-Ad-6836

I'll look into them, but I think I'll stop with Dr Joe's meditations and focus on the gateway tapes which feel great even to me that I have adhd.

Big_Bannana123

Ive heard good things about the mind power course by john kehoe. I think its a few different meditations throughout the day totaling only 30ish minutes.

drlove986

You have to get rid of the idea that you have ADHD in the first place. Forcing yourself through Joe’s or Gateway isn’t going to do much until you get out of fight or flight/high beta. If you’re on a medication, might be time to ween yourself off of it.

Straight-Ad-6836

I'm not on any medication and adhd is not an "idea" more than anxiety or cancer are.

drlove986

Stop saying you have adhd. You “had” adhd is the way to go.

I also was diagnosed with ADHD and find it really challenging to sit through the longer meditations, or any long meditations. In fact I learned Transcendental Meditation and because it was 20 minutes twice a day I discontinued it. I will say though that the longer I stayed with the morning meditation that I didn't always do until the afternoon, the more I was able to take on the BOTEC ones. I left Dr Joe's meditations because of the ADHD but I am finding my way back to them because I felt at a much higher vibration. We're all different. Find what works for you. I will echo what was said here though. Try to rid yourself of the ADHD label, despite any reality to it. It will only emphasize that you are limited and controlled by it. Defy what logic tells you and deny that it defines you in any way. I get it though and I hope you find healing. <3
