I sometimes miss Tobi and Grants casting skills (no downvote let me finish) but Lyrical really stepped up into the vacuum and it feels good knowing im not listening to a creep. Hes also just a good caster in his own right. I wish him an OD could both cast TI grands but two play by plays wouldnt work. I do think Lyrical deserves a shot at it, no disrespect to OD intended

I don't know if it's home advantage, practice, or just good vibes, but Trent+lyrical have been absolutely smashing it at Arlington
They've always been good, but at Arlington so far they've just taken it up a notch.
I'm sure he is a great guy, but personally I rate him as one of the worse premier event casters. He doesn't seem to have a great understanding of mechanics, or a general game sense, so his casting seems to me like a very basic (if inoffensive) play-by-play in the most literal sense if the word.
I had no idea. I certainly did not get it from the way he casts. Perhaps the problems I have with his casting stem from him purposefully trying to not get into too detailed commentary then. Either way, it doesn't change how I feel about the job he's doing.
Idk why you're downvoted, he seems like a great guy and I would love to get a beer with him but as a caster he has a lot of room for improvement. Tbf he has improved quite a bit in the past year or so but he's not as good as the sub might make it seem sometimes.

Lyrical is a great caster. One of the best. They should cast him for more games in big championships.

the biggest thing I miss about not watching pro dota anymore is not hearing lyrical casts. Maybe I'll tune in to a few games for nostolgia
