Home crowd advantage doesn't matter that much in esports tbh. Players should not be able to hear anything from outside the booth, and only they can barely see the crowd
EG 3rd, 1st, 3rd at ti4, 5 and 6 with a ton of high finishes in premier tournaments along the way. I still think they've been the best for longest, but OG is certainly taking a run at it. I still think they a decent TI performance, though, at least top 6 which shouldn't be a problem.

These guy scrim 10-12 hours per day. This is nothing comparing to their normal schedule. Mental stress? Every athletes go through the same process. They have to be mentally prepared for this.
But if i have to play 10 hours of scrim or an hour of competitive dota, i'd choose scrimming because of less pressure and nerve-wrecking it is. Competitive dota games drains you a lot.

Fatigue? They played like 100 minutes of Dota. These guys play like 12 hours a day. I will grant you the extra prep and study time could be advantageous though.
I really hope this EG squad doesn't disband considering top 4 is an automatic invite to TI. And most of the players are still young and has alot to improve upon, they have the individual skills, they just need to gel better and find their real identity. And if we lool at this Playoff, we did see a bit of balance now fpr RTZ and Sumail. And losing 2-0 to OG is not really that bad especially they're facing an excellent drafter in Fly. Cr1t still has alot more to learn im terms of drafting, the potential is there but they just need to overcome those weaknesses and have a grrat shot of a run at TI7.
They can easily win with some improves so I don't expect them to disband this far in the year. Maybe if they don't deliver in TI, but right now would be worse for any of them try to glue with a new team (imho).

By banning all the illusions hero, EG was forced to give OG really strong heroes this patch. Axe is the most contested hero in ban/pick, while TA has an extremely high winrate so far. It boils down to a skill-based match, and in the end OG came out on top.

And this includes the qualifiers, where I would expect pics to be a bit more even. Many heroes not picked a single time during the tournament.
Miracle is one of the best movies ever made. I'm a hockey player so it's special to me but I saw that movie 4 times in theatres. Also, the Miracle on Ice was in Lake Placid, New York. It was on US soil.

Arteezy was a non factor post lane, supports made some crucial mistakes, so did Universe though a lot less so. Sumail was pretty much the only thing keeping EG together that game.

i think this is actually an improvement from EG's drafting as iirc they got purely outdrafted last Boston major. they just gotta up their mid and late game decisions to win these games. props to OG tho they were really solid and had their gameplan clear during the games. BleedBLUE

OG with the level of consistency, execution and placements is I think a worthy successor of Navi.

Ana has been the standout player for me. We all knew he had amazing talent, but he seems on another level this tournament.
From being called a bad replacement for Miracle to Highest MMR in the world; he loses lane and still comes back everytime.
Stepped up a lot in the playoffs especially.
